Loved the experience!
Loved working with Leanne and Tracy at I Do I Do! I felt so comfortable and they worked with me to find a style I loved within my budget. And their alterations contact Lola was fantastic - I was so pleased and would recommend them for any brides looking for their gowns!
I had the absolute best experience with the ladies at this bridal shop! I did a lot of research, as I was looking for a very specific experience in vibe for wedding dress shopping and they exceeded my expectations! Leanne and Tracy were amazing to work with, so accommodating, listened to me, and just made it a very smooth process. As an event planner myself, I’m always looking for great customer service and they delivered!! I went to several bridal shops, and I Do I Do was my FAVORITE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
A fantastic experience.
The staff was patient, kind, and helpful. We were able to look through the dresses with no pressure and could pull our own picks. While I was in the fitting room, the staff was so respectful of my privacy and made sure I was comfortable. When showing dresses to my friends, the staff was happy to answer questions and let me lead the conversation without any pressure. We all ended up having a fantastic time!
I went into the appointment thinking that finding a dress I felt confident in was just not going to happen. In the end I found more than one dress that I felt great in, and I am so happy with the dress I picked. Now, I also have a really wonderful memory of the experience.
Leanne was very friendly and welcoming! i did not end up getting my dress from here but they do have a large selection!
Leanne & Tracy are absolutely AMAZING! They are so helpful and kind, truly care about making you feel and look your best. They have a beautiful selection of dresses but they are really what makes the entire experience memorable and fun! I am so happy I found my dress here and Tracy helped me every step of the way. Picking a dress can be overwhelming especially for an indecisive person like my self. But I didn't feel overwhelmed at all at I Do I Do and they helped me to solidify my decision and made me feel so confident! I had been to other shops where the consultants were not personable and just wanted to get the appointment over with, which does not make you want to get a dress from them. This is not the case at I Do I Do. They are not pushy and are not just trying to make a sale, they are flexible and really want you to feel comfortable and happy in your decision. They are a great team. I didn't expect to have a "moment" and be emotional but I did here, and left on a happiness high that lasted the rest of the weekend! I am so happy I got my dress with them and am so excited! Thank you Leanne & Tracy!
I Do I Do is one of the best places to shop for wedding dresses in the DC area! They have a wide selection of dresses at very reasonable prices for the area. Tracy was wonderful to work with and put no pressure on me to buy a dress that wasn't perfect for me. She gave me plenty of time to think and provided great feedback about each dress. The seamstress that the salon works with, Lola, is an absolute delight and did an amazing job on my dress!
They were amazing! I went in for my dress fitting in 2019. The owner Leia did my fitting and worked with my wants as well as my mothers. Found me my absolute perfect dress. My wedding was originally planned for 2020 but got moved. I do I do held onto my dress for safe keeping for an extra year. I cannot say enough great things about this company!
Tracey was amazing to work with. She made me feel comfortable every step of the way and helped me find my wedding gown and veil! Because of COVID, there are doing appointment only but for me, that made the experience as we had the salon to ourselves.
The ladies at I Do I Do were very wonderful in helping me select a wedding gown. I can't give 5 stars as they never contacted me to arrange for alterations and I had to find that on my own. Otherwise, very friendly service and a great selection.
I absolutely loved shopping at I Do, I Do. I had tried on dresses at two or three other bridal shops, but this was the only one to text me in advance. The saleswoman asked what I was looking for, and even pulled dresses in advance that fit my style and budget before I arrived. I wanted to stay under $1500 for my dress, and had far more options here than at other bridal salons that I had visited.
One of the dresses she pulled didn’t look like much on the hanger but once I put it on and she clipped it into place, I knew it was the dress. We bought off the rack to avoid COVID/shipping delays, and she was even able to find a missing button that had fallen off the dress so that I could get it re-attached. They have great customer service, a huge range of styles, and all in all provide a really fantastic experience!
I was recommended to this bridal salon by my cousin who purchased her wedding dress from them many years ago. They were amazing to work with. Everyone was responsive, polite, and I never felt rushed. They have many options and can work with any budget. I ordered my dress, prior to the pandemic, in Oct 2019. Even with the all the constraints from the pandemic, they helped me get my dress 6 months later when it arrived at their store. I live in South Carolina and they made the process seamless.
I made a bridal appointment with I Do I Do at the end of January. Check in was easy and I got right to looking at wedding gowns with my Mom. Tracy helped me pick out gowns, answered all my questions, and helped me get in and out of each gown. She was very patient. It was such an enjoyable experience! I ended up saying yes to my perfect gown. The seamstress (Lola) was a delight to work with. She really understood my needs and was so professional and sweet. I got married on July 17 and received so many compliments on my beautiful gown. I emailed I Do I Do to get some clarification about the cleaning and preserving process and the emails back were quick and clear. I recently made an appointment to drop off my dress to have it professionally cleaned. Another great experience with I Do I Do. I highly recommend I Do I Do!
I loved working with Tracy to find my wedding dress! Even with COVID restrictions she was enthusiastic, and such a kind and knowledgeable stylist. Simply wonderful. The shop had a fantastic selection at very reasonable prices. Be sure to include I Do I Do on your wedding dress search!
I found my perfect dress here and their in-house seamstress did an excellent job making the dress really mine!
Everytime I went it was a great experience! Friendly staff and a wide selection of dresses!
This is an extremely late review but I really wanted to share my experience here because it was amazing. I got married in 10/2017, I had picked out my bridesmaid dresses with my bridal party and ordered them, one less thing on the endless planning list. Unfortunately, they were Alfred Angelo dresses which went out of business a couple months after we had ordered them! So now I had to do some last minute scrambling to find something that worked. Some of my bridesmaids lived out of state and one was pregnant so I needed something with a similar style and my chosen color of teal was a bit hard to match. I found another dress at another store that worked and fit all the requirements. I Do I Do ordered them for us and covered the extra cost as the dresses were more expensive than I had wanted my bridal party to pay for. For a situation that could have gone so wrong, this company helped it go smoothly. I was so surprised and grateful for how they handled this. I truly would recommend I Do I Do to anyone!
The customer service at this shop is the best I’ve experienced. The consultants are sweet and accommodating. They worked around my schedule without hesitation. Also the woman who does their alterations was amazing! Reasonably priced and again worked around my schedule without issue. I highly recommend this shop!
The customer service and selection of gowns at I Do I Do are above and beyond. All the staff there are kind and helpful, I worked with Tracy who went above and beyond for me. I left my first appointment wanting to think a little more before purchasing my dress, Tracy made herself available for me to come back a few days later to try the dress on again and make my final decision which is exactly what I needed to make the final decision. We ran into a bit of an issue with the dress designer, my dress did not pass quality control and was delayed, this could have been my worst nightmare but Tracy stayed on top of the situation and kept me updated every step of the way and my dress arrived with plenty of time for alterations! Their seamstress onsite, Lola did an amazing job making my dress fit like a glove! I am so happy I purchased my dress there and would recommend I Do I Do to any bride!
I went to I Do I Do for my bridal gown and absolutely loved it. Tracy was super nice and patient during my two appointments with a fairly large entourage. The seamstress was absolutely amazing and basically reconstructed the top of my dress after I lost about ten pounds before my wedding. I also bought my veil and hair clip from there. It’s really a one stop shop. I’m in the process of consigning my dress with I Do I Do. The process is fairly easy, because I bought my dress from them they waived the admin fee. They try to sell the dress for 10 months with the possibility for extending a few more months after that point. Will update if/when I resell the dress.
I would definitely shop at I Do I Do again!
I found my dream dress at I Do I Do with the help of the fabulous Tracy. She was so nice and professional and made me feel so special. The store stayed even stayed open late because my appointment ran over. They have a wide selection of new and consigned dresses so you have a lot of options. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming and just chats with you about life. I love it there and would go back in a heartbeat.
Michele was an amazing consultant for me! She had pulled the dress I was interested in already, plus a few others before I arrived. When those didn’t pan out, she, my mother and I pulled several more until I stepped into “the one”. It was getting late but we didn’t feel rushed at all. Once we ordered, they kept us up to date on order time, arrival, and pickup. Also, we loved their seamstress (G2G Couture) so much that my mother brought a dress she had already bought for major alterations as well. My dress fit like a glove when Lola was finished, and she made all of the lace perfect even though we had to take out inches of fabric on the sheer back.
These women made my dress experience a dream. Thank you!
I had a fantastic experience at I Do I Do! They have a wonderful range of options and price points, as well as a large consignment section. This was my first and last stop - I came in thinking I would just try some dresses on to see what styles suited me, but my attendant Michelle hit it out of the park and found me the perfect dress right off a mannequin's back (and below budget)! I would highly recommend this store - there is no pressure to buy anything, and Michelle was super helpful finding a dress that had all the lace i could want without blowing my budget.
I also got my dress altered by the store's contracted tailor, Lola, and she was a pleasure to work with. She even dropped my dress off when it was finished as I didn't have time to swing by the store!
Finding my dress at I Do I Do Wedding Salon was a fantastic, easy, and pleasant experience for me. The service was excellent and the consultants were patient, friendly, and helpful. Tracy listened to my ideas about what dresses I pictured for myself, what type of wedding I was having, and the price range of my budget. She then had my mom and I pull dresses we liked from the racks that fell in my price range and she and her assistant pulled others and asked with each one what I thought and if I'd like to try it on. As I took my time trying on 5-6 different dresses I never felt rushed or pressured. I ended up loving one and decided that day on a dress that Tracy had pulled for me (it was actually the first one she pulled, but not the first one I tried on). She also picked out the perfect veil to match. I ordered both in early November and the veil arrived in January, the dress arrived in late April. I was able to pick up both in late May with the perfect amount of time for some standard alterations by my late September wedding.
Scheduling an appointment at I Do I Do has been the best decision of all my wedding planning thus far! They stayed open 45 minutes past their closing time on a Saturday night so I could be squeezed in since my mom and sister were only in town for the weekend!
The studio and my consultant, Tracy, went above and beyond to help me find my dream dress! I had a morning appointment and it was my first time trying on wedding dresses, so my preferences were all over the place. Tracy listened to all my feedback, asked questions to my group and I, and respected my budget. I left the studio without a dress, but called back five hours later after having a terrible experience at a different studio. At the second studio I redefined what I was looking for as a wedding dress. I called Tracy back to inquire if she could squeeze me in on Monday before my mom and sister flew home to see if we could find a dress with my redefined search criteria. Tracy insisted that I come back immediately so she could dedicate her full attention to us, even though that meant I would be arriving 10 minutes before they closed! I drove back to the studio from northern Virginia and Tracy helped me find my dream dress! Although they were closed, they applied no pressure for a decision and made the whole purchasing process completely flawless. I can’t express how wonderful Tracy was during the whole adventure!
In addition, after my appointment at the different studio, it was truly eye opening to how wonderful the whole studio is. The studio was bright, clean, organized, had a wide variety of selections for gowns, bridesmaids dresses and accessories, and the layout allowed for a more private feel. Although other brides were trying on dresses, I felt our group was somewhat isolated which gave it a very personalized feeling.
Overall, making an appointment at I Do I Do is one of the best decisions you can make! Requesting Tracy is another great decision, but from my limited interactions with the other consultants it is evident they all are professional, personal and experienced.
I Do I Do! Wedding Gowns was the perfect choice for buying my wedding gown. Eleanor was so kind and patient with me, and I appreciated it so very much. She made what was a very stressful day for me much, much better than it could have been. Eleanor listened to what I wanted, and then helped me think outside the box with different designers and styles. The dress was ordered at the end of May and arrived at the end of September. Lola did the alterations for my dress- she was so lovely to work with!! I moved out of state 6 months before my wedding, and Lola worked with my schedule to do the fittings when I was in town for the weekend. That included last minute alterations 2 days before the wedding. Lola also altered my mother’s wedding veil so that it would work with my dress. Lola is a total pro, who will make you feel both comfortable and beautiful. I highly recommend working with both Eleanor and Lola for your wedding day!!
Great shop! Huge variety of gowns! A pleasure to work with & would 100% recommend!
I had a short engagement and only had about 3 months until my wedding. They helped me find a great dress that fit my budget and that I could receive and have altered in a relatively short timeline. Great customer service and a great selection of beautiful dresses!
I had a wonderful time at I Do I Do choosing my wedding gown! I am a professional organizer, so choosing something that has been worn before felt like a good non-wasteful way to go. The salesperson helped me find the dresses in my size and price range, and then we did the fitting. I was almost ready to give up, when she brought me one I had overlooked -- it was perfect! Even though the size was slightly bigger than what I wear, I was able to try it on and see what it would look like with alterations. I felt amazing on my wedding! The dress was gorgeous, and I paid a fraction of what I would have paid full-price. A great experience!
I Do I Do was the fifth place I visited when looking for dresses and it definitely had the best options for what I was looking for and my price point. My bridal associate was Carol and she was amazing! She was helpful without being intrusive, she was kind, and she clearly knew what she was doing. The dress I picked was one of the consignment dresses, was in great condition, and was in my budget (even I was surprised I stayed in budget!). Would definitely recommend this store!
I had an amazing time shopping for my wedding dress at I Do I Do! The process was relaxed and I didn't feel rushed. My consultant, Eleanor, was wonderful at helping my find a dress that suited my style even though I came to the appointment without a clear idea of what I wanted. The first dress she had me try on was the one I ended up buying. She was professional and helpful without making me feel pressured to buy that day. All of the dresses were gorgeous and affordable. Would definitely recommend!
I liked shopping at I Do I Do as there was plenty of helpful and attentive staff on hand every time I visited. They left me alone when I wanted to look for myself, and they were my one on one counselor when I was seeking advice. Nice selection of new and used dresses here for brides. There was also an assortment of bridesmaid and mother dresses, and veils and jewelry. I didn't get my dress here just due to my style preference, but I got my veil here and I loved their jewelry selection! Lots of dazzling costume jewelry that is perfect for weddings. During the times I requested assistance I was usually lucky enough to get Eleanor. She was very patient and helped me try on dresses and jewelry, and suggested add on options as well with various looks, on a few different occasions. Since my dress came from elsewhere, they even let me borrow jewelry to take so I could try it on with my dress. (And of course I did end up buying most of it!) Several large spaces and mirrors in store to check out the glam looks. All staff members were quite friendly.
I had a WONDERFUL experience here. This was the second, and last, stop on my wedding dress shopping adventure. My stylist was very nice, helpful, and patient. I tried on maybe 10 dresses and was between two. I was there for almost two hours going back and forth on the final decision and never felt rushed. I purchased an unaltered sample so really not a huge discount like the pre-worn and altered ones, but I love it! The salon itself was really pretty, they have accessories and bridesmaids dresses too. The outside looks like your typical stripmall but inside felt very bridal. I was very happy with my visit.
They ruined my daughter's dress. She couldn't wear it and one week before the wedding we had to purchase a new one. STAY AWAY No refund given
Wonderful Service - Lora was my consultant and she was patient and super helpful! I went there as my first place and found the dress of my dreams in an hour and a half. All of the dresses are 'off the rack' so I literally drove home with my dress. Best feeling ever!
I Do I Do was one of the first places I went to try on wedding dresses and I was a bit nervous coming in, but my bridal consultant, Carole, was welcoming, patient, and informative and put me right at ease. I explained to her the style I was looking for along with my price range. Carole pulled several gowns and allowed me, my mom and maid of honor to pull gowns as well. I got down to my two favorite gowns, one of which Carole had chosen and just could not decide! Carole was very patient and accommodating and let me try them on as many times as I wanted. She also was very good at pointing out pros and cons with each style and getting a sense of what I was feeling. You can tell she has been doing this for a while! In the end, I am so happy with the service, my dress, and the price. Though I have not yet had my dress tailored, I like that they have an in-house tailor that is very reasonably priced. Thanks for helping me find my perfect dress within my limited budget!
I went there in July of this year and Leana was amazing she understood what my mother and I were saying in style and type and even though it was my first time going dress shopping I found the one that day. We were not expecting to walk out buying a dress but we did!
If I could give this bridal shop negative stars I would. I have never been so disrespected at any establishment until today. I set up an appointment today to consign my wedding dress - Essence of Australia D1571. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a nice sales associate who took my dress and hung it on a rack. The owner soon came, partially unzipped my dress and responded "I can't sell this it's too old." The website states that they consign dresses 2 years old or less and I have had my dress for less than 2 years ...I got married in Aug 2015; Nonetheless, she proceeded to accuse me of purchasing a floor sample dress and asked nastily if I had a receipt. Appalled by the way I was spoken to, I took my dress and left the shop - I would rather keep my dress than sell it to someone so rude and unprofessional. I don't know what her angle was for speaking to me and offending me the way she did; however, I would NEVER recommend anyone buy ANYTHING from there! My dress is gorgeous, I have all my documentation including my cleaners receipt from 2 weeks ago, I can AFFORD to order a dress at full price and as far as I'm concerned the dress looks a lot better than what was on display - google it! BTW, if you go to Essence of Australia website the dress is sold in several bridal shops in the area - but it's old. Go to Bridals by Elena in Gambrills, MD the team is awesome there!!
I Do I Do Wedding Gowns made my wedding dress dreams come true. My bridal consultant was Carole, and she was so nice and patient with me as I was trying on gowns. Then she picked "The "One" for me. My mom immediately teared up and i knew. My gown made me feel so beautiful. The seamstress that I Do I Do is also great! Lola did a fantastic job on my alterations. She made sure everything was perfect. Thank you I Do I Do!!
Michelle was so helpful! When she switched the lighting in the boutique so I could see what I'd look like for my sunset timed wedding I knew I was in the right place! Excellent customer service!
I had a great experience at I Do I Do today! With the help of my consultant, Michelle, I found the perfect dress for me. And, it was well under budget - yay! The salon is very pretty & the selection is large. The staff is very warm & accommodating. And, as I experienced first hand, the prices are fantastic! I highly recommend this salon!
Went here earlier this week without appointment. They were full in fitting room, but allowed me to check out consignment area. Came back following day and had an amazing session with the owner! Thanks for the assistance!!
I was most excited about I Do I Do because of their consignment section. I ended up not finding anything in that section, and in fact, I didn't really consider the dresses to be offered at consignment prices.
Nonetheless, I fell in love with a beautiful lace gown that was part of a trunk show. I didn't buy the dress that day because I wanted my family to be there. Unfortunately, the dress was being shipped the following day to the next trunk show (which was I informed of) and they were never able to get another sample in the store.
I ended up going to another salon and bought a similar dress at a lower price.
Great customer service. Would recommend trying them out.
I had a wonderful experience at I do I do with Olyvia as my consultant. She was so patient and helpful in finding dresses that fit my style. It was such a calm and pleasant wedding dress shopping experience!
I purchased my wedding gown at I Do I Do and while I found a stunning dress in their consignment section, I would not recommend the salon to others. At my consultation, the associate working with me was very helpful and listened well to what I was looking for and my budget, but the owner was incredibly rude to my mother (something I had seen written about on other review sites). She only became pleasant when we decided to purchase the gown. Later, when I was making arrangements to pick my up my gown, there was confusion over the location of my dress and it took multiple phone calls to confirm where my dress was and that the few small alterations were complete. It was unnecessarily stressful and frustrating as it was clear there were some serious communication issues on their end. When I arrived to pick it up, I discovered those alterations had not been completed as I was told and had to leave the dress there requiring me to make an additional journey to finally pick it up. I loved my dress, but due to the poor customer service I would not recommend them.
I learned about I Do, I Do through a friend who wished she had purchased her gown there. I went there after going to a larger store, finding a dress that I cried at, but was over budget. Here I found the dress I was meant to have. It was beautiful, full lace, affordable and so easy to wear. It was the best dress for me. In fact, when I first tried it on there were two other women there, one slightly taller than me, one much taller than me, all trying on the same dress. It was perfect for all of us. The selection at I Do, I Do is really good. If you want something used, they have it. If you want some of the latest designs, current or one season back, they have it. Also, Lola, the seamstress, was amazing! She really knew my dress, had altered it for many women before me, but customized it just for my small petite frame. I was so happy working with her. Very professional and patient. Great quality, even on an entire lace overlay. I couldn't recommend them enough.
I had a great experience at this store. This was store number five I visited during my wedding dress search. I tried on over thirty dresses and there wasn't a dress I "loved" yet. I went during a slow day because I was the only bride in the store. Since I was use to trying on dresses I went to the appointment alone. I pulled some dresses and the consultant pulled some dresses. One of the dresses the consultant pulled I fell in love with. I did a follow-up appointment and was able to get it discounted because I purchased the dress during small business Saturday. I was very satisfied with my experience here and would recommend this store to people. I brought my dress full price but many of their consignment dresses were nice as well. The dress I brought was very affordable. I picked an Allure Bridal gown and brought my veil and jewelry all in the same day here as well.
Absolutely fantastic experience here! Olyvia was my consultant, and she was a delight. She respected my slim budget as a new mom, and she ended up suggesting the dress I chose. The shop is such a hidden gem. My favorite thing was the "evening lighting" they can turn on to help you picture the gown as it would look with more romantic lighting. Be sure to ask for that--it sealed the deal for me. Lots of veils and accessories to choose from too. The assistant manager Lindsay was super responsive and attentive when I had concerns about extra length.
A word to prospective buyers, no matter where you go, I've found it helped to do my hair and makeup super glam we up, and that made the shopping experience even better. I'll leave another review later of the alterations process when I go through that, and I'll leave these reviews elsewhere as well. I love to see great small businesses succeed when I've had a really positive experience!
I had such a great experience here! It was the first place I went to try dresses and I worked with Carole. She was incredibly helpful through the appointment in finding me dresses that matched what I was looking for and looked best on me. I had hoped on finding a consignment gown so I didn't have to spend my full dress budget but unfortunately I didn't find one. I bought a dress from another boutique and it was a designer I Do I Do didn't carry so it was no reflection on them. Great shop to visit and great selection!
I loved going to this shop. They were friendly and easy to work with. The staff there made me feel like I was pressured to make a decision. I found a great dress and the seamstress in house did a beautiful job fitting my dress.
I Do I Do was the first bridal store I went to. I live out of state so wanted to do my first wedding dress shopping with my mom and sisters, I didn't expect to find my dress on my first outing. The experience was great, Jasmine (it was over a year ago, I believe that was her name) was awesome to work with. She really tried to get a feel for my wedding plans and fiancée to make great dress choices. The first dress I tried on I loved and as a used dress it had already been altered and amazingly fit me perfectly. I Do I Do was a great first stop since it has new dresses as well as consignment. I went to a couple of other shops afterwards because it seemed crazy to only go to one store when I had over a year before my wedding but I ended up coming back the next day and buying that first dress. Everyone loved it the day of, it was perfect and the shopping experience was a great start to my wedding planning.
I purchased my Sophia Toli Dress at I Do, I Do in Gaithersburg, MD. After much convincing, I purchased a size 16 because I was in between sizes (between the 14 and the 16) and they wanted me to be on the safe side - EVEN THOUGH I was certain I was going to lose 30 lbs. Well, I lost 55 lbs, and that left me with a mighty billowy dress and a tall task for Lola, the store's official seamstress.
She was just as surprised as I was at the first fitting when the dress was enormous - twice the size it needed to be! The first two fittings were in store - very fast because they slot them on the half hour. I ended up having 6 fittings - the latter 4 at Lola's house in Rockville - which is a lot, I know, but that is because Lola wanted to make my dress perfect - AND SHE DID!!! She took the time and precision to make my size 16 a perfect size 8. A fit and flare style dress, the fabric hugged my hips divinely and the illusion neckline laid against my chest like a glove. I looked thin and graceful and felt beautiful.
Lola is kind, honest, and extremely hard working. If you are a stressed bride, Lola is your gal - she really set me at ease and made even the smallest nitpicky changes I requested in my crazed bridal brain. I looked lovely on my day, and I really recommend her.
The reason I give I Do, I Do a rating of 4, is because other than Lola and the wonderful Jocelyn (the assistant who picked my dress for me), the other women there were luke warm in kindness at best. In two instances the owner (I assume the owner - but maybe just the manager) was snippy and actually quite rude. I expected great service since I was paying what I thought was a good amount of money (it ended up being over 2k when everything was said and done).
In the end I was very happy with my dress, so the rudeness and the expense is under the bridge for me now.
Before I went for a shopping for my dress, I read lots of horrible review of this store online. However, I had a very good experience at I do I do wedding. Carol helped me to choose my wedding gown by letting me try on different dresses. Since I had no idea which style would look good on me, I’ve tried almost 10 gowns. As we all know, wedding gowns are really heavy. It would have been really tough to help me to try almost 10 gowns, but she did it with a smile on her face. There are pricy gowns of course, but there are lots of gowns on sale too. I got mine at 25% off price.
i had been to a boutique in Potomac and a small store in VA- when I came to I do I do, I thought I had seen most of the options. Lucky for me, I had not. The day I walked in, they talked me into an appointment and I'm so glad they did.
After a few dresses, I finally found the one I love and custom ordered a skirt. GREAT experience.
The only reason for my 4 stars is the alterations were not great, my bustle dragged on the floor after multiple extra alterations. After only wearing the dress for a few hours, I'm not confident in the quality of the dress but it looked beautiful for most of the night!
This consignment boutique was referred to me by a friend. Subsequently, I have learned that many others in my circle have either purchased their wedding gown, or successfully sold their once used dress, to the establishment. My original plan was to hit several area stores. "I Do * I Do" happened to be my first visit. I walked in knowing that I wanted a "Fit & Flare" in off white. The fitting consultant listened and by the 2nd dress I knew I had found "the One"! The consultant blew me away by how she had managed to read me...and my girlfriend teared up when she saw me. Not the princess type I was not planning on wearing a veil but, once again, the consultant worked her magic and I fell in love with the finishing touch. I spent more money than I had planned on but, since the dress was not previously worn, I discovered I could sell it back to the store so it gave the purchase more perceived value. They were accommodating through all the fittings and, when the veil came late and the dress was ready to go, they ended up had-carrying it straight to my home in Bethesda! The best part, however, is that on my wedding day I had many people tell me that it was the most beautiful dress they had ever seen!
Go to I Do I Do. Make an appointment with Jocelyn.
My bridesmaids and I were floored by how warm, attentive, and helpful Jocelyn was. She listened so well, and knew exactly which dress to pull for me when I described my vision for our wedding. She also picked up on intangibles, and made sure that the dress fit with the aspects of my personality she noticed. Her pick was perfect, she was patient, she handled our group with grace. Could not have been a better experience :)
I can't say enough good things about I Do I Do. The service is incredible - Jocelyn is amazing! She picked out the most perfect dress for me, and was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The entire staff is so friendly, and they treat you as if you are the only customer, even when it's a busy day. Since I got married I have taken my 2 friends and sister-in-law here and they all found their perfect dress, and at the right price for their budgets. I highly recommend I Do I Do to any bride looking for their dream dress and fantastic one-on-one service!
I tried on other dresses at other shops, but the associates at I Do I Do Wedding Gowns made me feel at home. I didn't purchase my wedding gown the first time there, but I did receive some great advice about choosing my gown. I was really impressed when I received a phone call informing me that they were having a trunk sale and my dress was a part of it. Needless to say, I got my dream dress at a reasonable price and had a lot of fun in the process!
I tried on the first dress and I knew it was the one to keep! The ladies were so nice and they didn't rush me at all. They actually picked out a few they thought I would love and then let me roam around to look too! Most places wouldn't let me do that so I was very happy they did because their selection was beautiful but it was my mom that found my wedding dress :)
If I could give zero stars for this place, I would. This place was bizarre.
First of all, it was a madhouse and there was no sense of organization or anyone being in charge. I had made an appointment ahead of time to try on wedding gowns, and when I arrived, the store was PACKED with people and it was impossible to find anyone who worked there and wasn't already helping someone. We had to wait for quite awhile, and were passed off from person to person until finally we were helped and taken back to try on gowns. Now, what exactly was the point of making an appointment?
What happened once I put on a dress was seriously strange. I was in this large room with plenty of other brides trying on gowns (that was annoying enough, but, whatever) - and the woman helping me asks, "What time of day is your wedding?" I replied 6:30. She said to hold on a moment..... and she goes around the corner and TURNS OFF THE LIGHTS. "So you can picture what you'll look like in your gown during your ceremony!"
Um, no, I cannot picture what I will look like during the ceremony. Because it is dark now. I can't see anything. And by the way, now you've turned off the lights on all these other women who are also trying on their gowns.
Needless to say, I walked out of the store soon after and found the perfect dress elsewhere.
I love my Casablanca dress from I Do I Do Wedding Gowns! It suited me perfectly and the price was unbeatable. I Do I Do has a great selection of designer and consignment dresses in perfect condition. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Lola is a wonderful seamstress, flexible with appointments, and makes sure you look absolutely beautiful on your big day! Check them out!
This little shop has an amazing selection of dresses. I initially chose to look at dresses here because they had consigned dresses, I wanted to save a couple dollars and figured this would be the best option. I told the sales assistant exactly what I wanted and she was able to pull a couple dresses for me that matched my description exactly. THe only problem was that the dresses she pulled weren't consigned dresses and they were a bit above my price range.
When trying on dresses they gave me an hour with the sales assistant, which does not seem like much time, but I tried on 9 dresses in that hour. Everything was very systematic, we tried on 1 dress, kept it on for a couple minutes, showed it to the group and went to the next 1. After trying them all on, I retried a couple and voila! I found the dress. It did not feel rushed and I was the only customer that the sales lady was catering to for the hour. This shop is very busy, they are by appt only
I had to drive an hour from Baltimore each time I visited this shop, but it was worth it! The ladies here were wonderful and I just really liked the low-key but still elegant vibe of the shop. I tried on about a dozen gowns during my appointment and the consultant helping us really helped me find styles that fit me well. I also love that they do consignments, which is eventually how I bought my dress - something as special as a wedding dress should get to be worn and shown off more than just once! The woman they have do their dress alterations - Lola - is also wonderful. She was able to add fabric to the sheer back of my dress so that I could wear the bra I needed, and when she found out that I came all the way from Baltimore for my appointments, for the final dress pick up she agreed to meet me half way in Columbia, which I thought was so sweet of her.
Overall this is just a great shop to make a part of your dress hunting experience.
Overall my experience at I Do I Do was excellent. This was the second store I visited. The first being Bridal Images in Rockville. Needless to say, I did not find my dress there and decided to come to I Do I Do because of the reviews and how close I live to it.
After an "OK" visit to Bridal Images, my mom and I decided to go check this store out and to see if we could get an appointment. As soon as we walked through the door we could sense that this store was 10x much better than the previous store. Chajuan greeted us with a big smile and was great all around. We were not able to get an appointment that day but we were able to get one for that Saturday. While there we saw someone trying on a dress and we just knew that dress was the one! I asked them to make note of it and they did. We also picked out a bridesmaid dress from their selection. They were all very pretty and affordable.
On Saturday we arrived and our consultant Joselyn was marvelous! She listened to every single detail about what I invisioned my dress would be. She was able to find the dress we fell in love with earlier that week among others. It was the only one I tried on. As soon as I said that I didn't want to try on the other pretty dresses we had picked she took me to the back and dolled me up (veil, accesories, and everything). She brought me back out looking like a bride. She even took the time to braid and pin up my hair. Joselyn almost cried with us! It made our experience so much better knowing that she truly cared about my needs as the bride. In the end, I said YES to the dress and can't wait to wear it on my wedding day.
The dresses are somewhat affordable and beautiful. I do think you need to know what you are looking for in a dress before you go into any bridal shop.
The only con is the fact that you have to pay for the dress in full. It would have been nice to be able to pay for half of it then and the rest when it comes in.
I cannot speak for alterations yet...
I have to admit that I was hesitant to check out dresses at this store after reading some not-so-nice reviews but since 2 of my friends had good experiences I thought I would give it a try. The store is pretty small but they had a lot of choices and the consultant allowed my friends and family to pull dresses off the rack for me in addition to her looking around. The consultant was very helpful and I found the dress during my first visit! The dress came in when they said it would and I did not have any problems! My only issue would be that I wish they had encouraged me to choose a veil or told me how long it would take to order a veil when I bought the dress. I ended up having to go somewhere and buying a veil off the rack since all their veils would have taken like 8 weeks! Overall, I had a great experience here!
They have a great selection! I purchased my gown from this store in July 2012. I had chosen to make a couple changes to the neckline and cap sleeves. It was 1st ready in late November. I didn't get to see it at this time, but received a call from the store manager (after I had called asking about the dress, since it was due in the week before) saying "the dress wasn't up to standards," so they shipped it back. I was a little annoyed because I was never given the opportunity to see if any of the other alterations needed to be tweaked as well. It was ready the second time in February (was told it would be ready in late January). I had to call to find out the dress was in both times it was shipped. "I do I do" was quick to call me back when I left messages, but they never called me without prompting. I found that very unprofessional.
The dress was beautiful however, much too big and it didnt leave much time for alterations. I ended up taking the dress to another location since I had not had the best or quickest responses from I do I do.
Beautiful gowns, affordable pricing.
I really loved my dress :) Thanks for having patience with me. I considered myself a very picky person but with this store I felt different, I felt that they had what I was looking for. Thanks for all your help Antounette. Great Service :)
I tried on and ordered a dress in a matter of hours. The ladies at I DO I DO made the wedding dress shopping experience an easy process for me. I had no idea what I wanted until I tried on the perfect dress from Casablanca Bridal.
Definitely check this store out for their consignment area. There were hardly any used dresses, most were discontinued samples or "change of heart" purchases from other stores. While the prices weren't as low as you would think, they were still decent considering the dresses were never worn. They also have a selection of regular "4-5 months to order" dresses. My issue, however, is that they do not have an alterations department. So if you are buying a consignment gown (as I did) make sure it is YOUR SIZE. Mine was a size too big, but they said it would be an easy and cheap alteration since it did not need hemming. This one comment almost destroyed my entire wedding. The seamstress they referred me to said the alterations would be too difficult and that the dress wouldn't look right. The next person they sent me to wanted $600 to take it in one size! I eventually found a place way out near Baltimore that did it for a fair price, but as the first seamstress predicted, it just didn't look right. I ended up buying a 2nd dress for the reception (not from them) because of it. Do not listen to anyone but a seamstress when they give their opinon on price or ease of alterations. Only the person doing the work can tell you that. And since they have no one on site, you have to make your best guess.
I had a tight budget for my dress but going to this small consignment shop the ladies there found "my dress" within my budget!! I got so many compliments on it and people were shocked to hear how inexpensive it was!
I loved this shop. After trying about 35 dresses in other shops without finding one dresses I love in my price range, I went to I do I do. I met with Antoinette and she was the nicest person ever. She was so patient and quite funny too. And she was honest about the fitting of the dresses I tried. If it was not cute, she would tell me. I definitely loved working with them to get my dream dress. I was able to find my dress which was also in my budget. This store has very affordable and gorgeous dresses. The only reason why I gave four stars is because the owner of this store is extremely rude. But thanks Antoinette for making my wedding dreams come true.
I really wanted to find a consignment dress, so I wouldn't have to spend too much or wait months for an order, so I went to I Do I Do. However, I had a really patient salesperson help me wade through their consignments and instead found a dress to order! It took me two visits before I was absolutely convinced that I had found the dress and the shop called the manufacturer to see if they could get it earlier than five months (so it came in three)!
I went here as my first stop in my wedding dress shopping, as I had absolutely no idea what I wanted. You have to have an appointment and I'd suggest going at an off time; my mom and I were the only ones in there which gave us time and space to look around the entire store. We were able to pull ones we wanted and our consultant also picked a few for me to try on. All of the consultants who work there are very friendly and were genuinely happy and excited for me. Even though I was only expecting to go there to try on different styles, I ended up loving and buying the first dress I tried on. Of course I tried on other styles - all of which were beautiful that the consultant picked out. This store is half consignment and half order dresses. Prices range, but I found most were reasonable. I also got my alterations here, which turned out fabulous, but it seemed a bit overpriced. The woman who did the alterations did not actually work at this store, just came in twice a month. I highly recommend this store to any bride.
I loved-loved my dress!! I ended up getting the Casa Blanca Bridal 1985 dress. I was perfect and shinny!
I had such an amazing experience trying on wedding dresses. I always wanted a specific style of dress since I was a little girl. But when I tried a ball gown dress, it did not fit or look right. I was kind of getting a little nervous because I was not sure what other style i would like or fit right.
My consultant, Antoinette was amazing! She suggested that I tried on a dress and it was the perfect dress for me. She was patient, friendly, nice and very professional.
I'm glad that I came to this boutique because I had a great experience. (I had a terrible experience at David's Bridal)
Brides, I suggest that you go to I Do I Do, ask for Antoniette and I hope you have a great and wonderful experience like I did!!!
I went into my appointment just thinking I'd look at a few more gowns - who would have known I found MY gown! I was able to get a brand new, never been altered Sottero and Midgley for a very reasonable price (I wasn't looking to spend a fortune) The entire day, I was told how the gown was made for me. I could not have had a better day at I do-I do.
I received so many compliments on my gown. I was able to get it at a fraction of the cost since it was no longer being carried by the designer. This store had fantastic deals and a friendly staff.
I was helped by the owner who practically threw me out because I didn't have an appointment. She was totally unwilling to help me even though I drove for over an hour to get there. I don't care what kind of deal you get - that kind of treatment is totally unacceptable.
I wanted to buy a dress that was high quality without an outrageous price tag. This was the second store I visited and the woman who helped me try on gowns was wonderful. She asked the right questions and only pulled gowns in my price range and with the style requirements I had specified. Everyone loved the dress and many people asked where I had bought it. I was happy to recommend this shop.
Let me preface this by saying that I had a really good experience while selecting the dress. the pros:
1. I like that they actually let you pick gowns
2. Yvette was so helpful.
3. It's not a 'stuffy' environment.
I also read all of the great reviews about this place.
However, I waited to write a review until I got my dress.
The cons:
1. I still haven't gotten my dress and it's about 5 weeks later than when it was supposed to arrive.
2. It's been 5 months since I ordered it.
3. I was disappointed that I didn't get a phone call indicating that the dress would be late. As a matter of fact, I only got one returned phone call. I had to call 4 different times, and every time the person indicated that she would get back to me and she never did.
To summarize, they're very friendly and helpful before you hand over the credit card, but afterwards it's a completely different story. The prices aren't that much less than other bridal shops, so it's not worth the stress.
Wonderful shop with a wonderful staff! I was visiting from CT and had such a great experience. They really listen to you and do their best to help you find your dream dress! They made me feel special and took their time with the appointment. I can't say enough good things!
I do I do is a great place to find a dress, especially if you’re a bride on a budget. I was a bride that wanted to spend under $1000 on my dress (more like $500) and I found a GORGEOUS dress at I Do, I Do for $500! It was pre-owned, next worn but that didn’t bother me a bit. The alterations made it more expensive in the end but I could not have been more in love with how my dress looked on my wedding day. The staff was friendly but not pushy. I have shopped at other bridal salons for dresses with friends where the staff was very rude and snobby. Not at I Do, I Do. They were not pushy (in fact, the opposite) and always nice. I also found a fascinator and a short faux-fur cape which were perfect.
Absolutely loved my dress from I do I do wedding gowns. My husband was blown away with my dress especially since he new how little it cost!
I checked out alot of boutiques before ultimately finding "the" dress here at I do I do wedding gowns. I found it in the consignment section, couldnt believe that the dress of my dreams would be used! I thought that the consignment(gently used) dresses actually looked less cheap and more classy then some of their newer bridal gown collections. I went for a silk gown with lace, beautiful!
Theyre seamstress, Maria, was great too despite some bad reviews I had read. I had pricked myself on a pin and gotten a good amt of blood on the silk portion of the dress, Maria told me not too worry and that she would handle it..and she did! Thank goodness!
Only con would be that they get super busy and really only alot an hour for you, after that they scoot you out.So its not as personal as it could be.
I would recommend!
I had a small wedding and did not want to spend a lot of money on my dress. I was getting really frustrated until I went to I Do, I Do. They have a huge selection of consignment dresses and even lots of new dresses. I found a beautiful dress for under $500 that had never been worn.
I originally went into the I Do, I Do looking for a consignment dress as I wasn't looking to spend an immense amount of money on a gown. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find one that wouldn't have been incredibly expensive to alter. I started to become a little fed up with the process as my consultant was telling me I was running out of choices in the store. Luckily I decided to branch out and look at some of their new gowns and found one in a trunk sale section. I loved and bought it and couldn't have been happier with my selection!
I'm not a high maintenance bride, and buying a used or last season dress was fine with me, especially if I could save a boat load of money. I Do I DO was perfect for me! They have a HUGE collection of new dresses that are discontinued or last season styles. My consultant, Yvette, was SO sweet and helpful. However, while I was there, some of the other consultants were busy with a girl who should have been on a bridal reality show. She had 25 of her closest friends and family there, along with a lot of children. They blocked the viewing area, and made it hard for me to get to the mirrors. The other consultant that was working with her seemed to pay no attention to the fact that there were other customers in the store, and at times I was forced to use a mirror off to the side that they have for looking at veils and jewelry. Overall, the service Yvette provided, and the fact that I got everything I needed for my wedding for under $1000 made it a place I will recommend.
Very friendly staff and one to one service makes for a intimate and special experience
The staff at I Do I Do really know their dresses. I am a petite Mother of the Groom and I was having a hard time finding a dress that wasn't too young looking or too matronly. The manager had let me choose several dresses of my liking to try on. When I said I had a couple I liked but wasn't sold on any of them, She said let me see what I have in the back. She brought out a dress they had just gotten in. I tried it on and it was THE DRESS! My next concern was size. She said I need a size 1. I said I hadn't worn a size one in over 30 years. She assured me her measurements were correct. When the dress came in on time as promised, I tried it on and it fit perfectly - no alterations needed! Yeah! I would not hesitate to use this store again.
I need to preface by saying that this is where I bought my gown (it was one of their consignment gowns), despite my few complaints. I did not have a large dress budget, and I Do I Do did not have a huge selection of dresses within that figure (in fact, I ended up exceeding my budget). The consultant seemed a little miffed initially by my desire for a non-strapless dress, but she did find some great dresses for me to try. Overall a good experience, and I did find the perfect dress, but I also ended up going over budget, partially because they didn't have many dresses within that budget (although their website led me to believe they might).
So, this is the place I actually found "the dress"!! The people here are wonderful and so helpful no matter what your budget is!! There are used dresses as well as new dresses to choose from and the prices are cheaper than other bridal places. Although I found my dress here, I didn't buy it here because of my location. With fittings and all the trips necessary, it would have been impossible for me to do that during the week (traffic). I ended up paying more for my dress and dealing with a rude, pushy sales woman.....:( Oh how I wish I could have made multiple trips to I Do I Do....very enjoyable experience!!
