to questions and needs. I have never had bad food when attending anything at the I Hotel and Conference Center, and University Catering did not disappoint this time either. The food was amazing, and Jeremy, with UI Catering, was wonderful to work with. He was so helpful and answered every question I had along the way. They are also accommodating of special dietary needs that guests may have. Meredith, the Event Coordinator for the I Hotel, is awesome. She worked with me to iron out every detail from room set-up and décor to tear down. She was respectful of what I had in mind for my reception and made it her top priority for it to be nothing less than perfect. She is very easy to work with and timely in her responses to questions and needs. Overall, the event staff the day of was top notch and exceeded all expectations! They checked in the morning of, confirmed any questions they had, and made themselves available if I needed anything at all throughout the day. Another bonus, is they will take all cards and gifts up to your room at the end of the night as well as do all tear down of the venue space. They truly made my day stress free not having to worry about things being right or being forgotten. I am confident in saying that the I Hotel and Conference Center staff make service a top priority and want nothing more than for any couple’s day to be perfect! I cannot thank them all enough for the wonderful job they did in making our special day one to remember!

endor for the evening and the food was DELICIOUS! Drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) are more expensive than they need to be, in my opinion! But we loved everything about our wedding day! The staff flipped our ceremony space into our reception space within just 2 hours and it completely transformed the room! We, along with a lot of our guests, stayed in the hotel and we were treated with the utmost respect and manners. I highly recommend iHotel for your wedding :)

Susan was available to me any time before the wedding and she or one of the other wonderful staff members was always available to us. If we could do it all over again I would do it all the same!

our needs. I was so stressed the night before about little things like not having written numbers our chalk board table numbers. Well the coordinator said no problem we can handle all of it and they did that for me and so much more. I would definitely reccomend the Ihotel to anyone getting married. Take your stress away!

We didn't do anything too crazy, so the I Hotel staff had no problems taking our decorations and having them set up and ready to go for the ceremony, and had the room flip done in no time while we enjoyed cocktail hour just outside the room. Susan was fantastic to work with, always ready to answer questions or provide reassurance! The catering is done through the university, and it was absolutely fantastic as well! Connie and Susan worked hand-in-hand and ensured we had a wonderful night (despite my somehow messing up my seating chart and numbers, which had us with a chair missing at one table - the team had that fixed before I even knew about it!) and I honestly didn't have a thing to worry about during the reception. It was a bonus having nearly everyone at the hotel - fewer worries about driving, and it was so easy for us all to meet up before the wedding and to say goodbyes the next morning. All of this - and we were planning from Minneapolis, MN, with no real chances to stop by the hotel before we arrived to stay the week of our wedding. This was the perfect choice - and who knows? Maybe in a decade we'll be planning our vow renewal there!

nd reassuring through every step of the process! I was the type of bride that asked a lot of questions. Whether it was about the centerpieces, dinner options, or table linens, I was always greeted with a cheerful response and helpful advice. I even remember Susan, the Conference Center Events Manager looking at me and saying "Even if you came to us with no ideas about to how to decorate/what decor to use, we'd still make the place beautiful for you... it's our job to make sure you are nothing but happy on your special day!" Those words truly stuck with me, and they did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple getting married in the Champaign-Urbana area! All of our friends and family who attended would agree: wonderful food, wonderful attention to detail, beautiful venue!

on what type of rooms we would need and what the I Hotel could do with the space. My husband and I wanted the entire event to take place in one place as we had many out-of-town guests, and we wanted the weekend to be easy for all of them. Next we worked with Courtney to establish the details of the day. She again made excellent recommendations and worked to make sure all of my desires were met. She worked to coordinate the day, along with my wedding planner and all of the vendors, to make sure that everything happened smoothly and effortlessly. Finally we worked with Jose in catering to establish the food and drink contracts for the weekend. Jose was incredibly accommodating, even accepting my request at the last minute for a tasting and another last-minute request to add food at our rehearsal. He even helped me pick a vegan meal when I found out some of my guests were vegan. His recommendation was spot-on as the dinner was both delicious and filling (something that is very hard to do with vegan meals). Jose and his team stole the show with their excellent food and impeccable service. I received many compliments about their work. The rooms were all beautifully arranged according to our specifications, the food was wonderful (we were told by many guests as well as our own observations), and the entire staff on the conference side was courteous and attentive. We would recommend the conference center to any and everyone. We hit a bump on the hotel side, however. The hotel booked without informing me that they were almost full and I had many guests scrambling to find nearby accommodations at the last minute. We also booked the bridal suite for two nights but were told that we could only have it for one night. The hotel righted all these situations promptly and courteously, but we wished that communication had been better throughout the process. All in all, I would recommend the I Hotel for events because the staff was incredibly kind and courteous, the food was fantastic, the rooms were and are beautiful, and the venue is perfect for a one-stop-shop.

Our guests were so pleased with the cocktail hour drinks and appetizers, the beautiful ballroom, the excellent dinner and wonderful wait-staff.

ade may planning very easy, especially towards the end. Our coordinator, Morgan, was very personable and reminded me of things I hadn't even thought of. We used my own laptop for music and videos. Their hookups for their sound system and AV crew made it effortless. The catering (which has a minimum cost on Saturday nights, which is not hard to reach on guest counts of 100 or more) had a few hiccups during the reception, but the supervisor kept us informed along the way and all the servers were positive and very helpful. The University Catering was happy to accommodate our wishes of serving a costume buffet of Lebanese style food. It turned out amazing. I was able to relax and get myself ready for the wedding without worrying too much about how things were coming together down stairs. It was more than I could have hoped for on our big day.

ed our entire wedding from the suburbs, so access to email communication was critical. The i-Hotel catering, booking and event logistics staff were all available via email and were very responsive. They were flexible about meeting with us on weekends, and came to planning meetings fully prepared. The staff was courteous, professional and seemed to genuinely care about making our day special. They allowed us to put our personal touch on our reception decor, and worked well to coordinate with all of our vendors (taking a ton of the stress and pressure off of us!). On the day of, the space looked beautiful! The food was DELICIOUS (our guests ranted and raved about it all night) and the staff did an above and beyond job of helping us set up, keep the party going and take down at night. Couldn't speak more highly about them if I tried. :D
