So we did our research, we shopped around, until we finally came across Icing on the Ring, a charming and sophisticated store in downtown LA. Miranda greeted us, and immediately took some edge off the overwhelming realization that there are likely thousands of ring possibilities in any given store. She helped us talk out what we liked, and what matched my girlfriend's style. I learned the rings are entirely more interesting and complicated than I’d ever imagined. But Miranda made them feel simple, and understandable. Miranda recommended we schedule an appointment with Raffi to go through the different cuts and colors; selecting a sapphire comes with its own unique considerations. Raffi spent a long time with me; I stopped in several times to review and discuss; I made phone calls, I emailed pictures and asked for quotes, and every time, Raffi responded with diligence and care, as if I was his priority customer number one. But for all the time I’d spent considering every little detail about this purchase, it was actually the first day that I'd met Raffi, that I’d decided I would buy from Icing on the Ring. He sat us down to take a look at a selection of stones, and after a good hour or so of his time, for no reason other than my own, cautious nature, I put up some defense; I politely explained “Just so you know, we're still shopping around, and won't be making any decisions any time soon." I was prepared for a gentle nudge or a careful pushback from Raffi. Instead, in his own words he told me, “You know, my dad taught to never make the hard sell. This is an important decision, and it's yours to make. I won't ever talk you into anything you're not ready to buy." Raffi gave me every reason to trust him, and I could not imagine a more perfect ring for the woman I love, so hey, thank you very much, kind sir.

In addition they have several QC checks in place and will not give you your ring unless it meets their high standards. They offer free adjustments every year to make sure your ring stays in the best shape. I won't buy jewelry anywhere else after the excellent service they have provided.

They were able to create a ring from two different styles and custom fit the curve to sit perfectly beside my solitaire. They also resized my soltaire as it was a bit too big. It took one week, and both rings look amazing! I could not be happier! The cost was very reasonable and the service was wonderful. They were able to make my vision of the perfect ring a reality, while staying within my budget.

I had no idea where to start when looking for an engagement ring and she made me feel so comfortable through the entire process. My sister in law got married this year as well so she decided to buy her wedding band there too. She had an awesome experience as well. They don't ever pressure you into buying anything. They make the experience a memorable one. When I do decide to upgrade, I will give them a call!

Also Raffi was trying to sell me a Tungston wedding band for myself for $350, I ended up the same ring at SAM & SUE for $30!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE SOME MONEY!!

I wanted a custom wedding ring set made and thought this would be extremely costly, but it was so reasonably priced! I told her I wanted a two-toned ring (white gold/rose gold) and a 6.5mm band width. I picked out 6mm white gold ring I liked, and she said they can custom make it to tailor to all my specifications (with no extra charge). She even offered me $50 discount for attending a bridal convention they participated in. Awesome! After that initial visit, I shopped around a bit more, but ended up back here due to the great pricing & customization options. I dealt with Raffi & Vic on other occasions, and they were very courteous as well. I LOVE the way his ring turned out, my now husband loves it as well :)

spending a few hours in one of the Marts, we both felt over whelmed. We then went into two different independent jewelers and another mart, but nothing got our attention, in fact most places just had a cheap vibe to them. We both kept saying that we needed to find Icing on the Ring, and when we found it and walked in; we both looked at each other and said this is the place! The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous, and the store itself had a very calm and soothing atmosphere. With that, we found the band of her dream and a wonderful diamond for a great price.

I came by a second time with an appointment and he had even more diamonds for me to look at under my parameters, so make an appointment. After shopping around I bought the engagement ring from here and came back for our wedding rings. They have an excellent warranty, and excellent service.

to replicate it and even recommend some slight changes to better the ring, while not changing the look. They then made a clay model for my approval after some computer generated 3D photos. They also allowed me to supply my own center stone. I drove out from Arizona to approve the model and it was a smooth transaction all the way through. Vic was so helpful and answered all my questions over the phone and through emails. To top it off, because I ran out of time and was about to leave for Europe with my soon to be, Vic offered and met with me in Whittier so that I could avoid the la traffic and missing my grandfathers unexpected funeral. The ring turned out better than I could have hopped. Better than the one we looked at in the high priced stores, and at a price I would have paid more for, had I known how perfect it would have turned out! I will be returning to icing on the ring for my ring and the wedding band, with a very big smile on my face......and I'm a hard azz when it comes to parting with my money!

Which isn't too big of a deal, but they were never going to contact me about it! I called back a weak later to confirm and they still hadn't entered my order!! Not very hard to do.

The staff was very attentive and helped find a matching wedding band for my engagement ring. On the first try, he got it right on the nail. They have a pretty large selection of bands for men as well - my husband was able to find one that he liked rather quickly. Since he got a titanium ring, they offer lifetime resizing (not that he'll ever need it but it's nice to know it's there). After the 20% discount, both our rings came out to $1K plus some change. It was a fantastic deal and I highly recommend them! The one downside is that they are located in the jewelry district in LA which has very limited parking. If you park in Pershing Square, they will validate for you so that's another plus. Definitely a must for all future brides and grooms shopping for rings!
