Christina Craft is a thief and a liar. We had our wedding late October. Paid her $6500 to plan everything. This package includes her inventory on decor as well. My detailed review I have been posting on wedding sites will not fit here. So I’ll make it short. Save your planning wedding experience and save your big day, DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUD QUEEN!
She will cash checks you have wrote to vendors and not pay them!
We wrote a 1700 check to our videographer and gave it to her as she requested, thinking she will do the right thing and give it to him. Instead she cashed it and never paid him. Luckily I reached out to him myself “even though Christina told me he was in Iceland” he was in TAMPA and had never been to Iceland. That’s when I found out less than a month before our wedding the check that I wrote was cashed and he had never seen a penny. He was nice enough to play it cool and still be there for our wedding. I basically had to follow up with her daily for a week until she paid him half of it. Two week after the wedding was when he received his full payment. Two weeks after...
Our floral story is the worst..We wrote a $2400 to Christina for the floral. The day of our wedding my husband noticed they weren’t at all what we requested nor did they match our colors..it was our wedding day and we were so happy about it we ignored it. The day after I find out she TOOK THE FLOWERS FROM THE WEDDING THE DAY BEFORE AND USED THEM FOR OURS! She had the nerve to tell people “the bride tomorrow can’t afford floral because her mom has cancer”. We wrote her the floral check before my mom was diagnosed.
We have yet to receive the receipt for our floral. $2400 check and no explanation. It’s almost been a month and she has been avoiding paying us what she stole.

Don't fall for the very obviously FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS. Nobody writes like that. Take it from someone who is STILL FUMING over the EMOTIONAL HELL and 100% THEFT of Funds that we paid Christina. Folks you need to know this woman has according to her a background at IBM and knows how to look good online and cover her tracks with FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS. She doesn't even care what she does because she is sure she can get away with it! When she met for our first face to face after several very warm and friendly phone calls - I was shocked when she literally TOOK MY MONEY AND DISAPPEARED. I tried to track her down, I tried to get our venue to help, I went to small claims and ALL of this while I had to take over and do what she didn't do. I could have kept that money and used if for the event! We were begging friends to step in and help and we were all exhausted and putting on a happy face during our wedding and reception. We had to do it ALL ourselves because it was too late to find a reputable replacement on short notice. We GOT NOTHING from Ideal Designs. RUN RUN RUN AWAY fast!!!!!
It has been four months since my wedding, and instead of having the post wedding “blues”, I’ve been dealing with the post wedding “reds.” I am STILL angry and fuming from what Chrissy Craft has done. I had close friends refer me to Ideal Design Events to help coordinate and execute one of the most important days of my life. She is a great salesperson; saying she will keep you in your budget, get you the vendors and give you what you ask for. We booked her for our April 2018 wedding over a year and half in advance. We purchased the Platnium Package with the bells and whistles. While I can say, our assigned vendors were great to work with, Chrissy made the few months leading up to our wedding horrific. First, our invitations-Chrissy addressed and mailed our inivitations on March 3, which was the date the guests were to respond! I had people constantly ask me if the wedding was still on. She never kept up with the RSVPs as they were mailed to her office and it was basically put on my fiancé and I to reach out to guests if they were coming or not because they invitations were sent out so late; some guests never received their invitations and Chrissy blamed it on the Post Office. Every time I asked a question about the set up or décor, I was told “I’ll handle it” or there was always an excuse—sick, family issue, another bride. I had to BEG for a wedding day timeline and it was given to me at our rehearsal dinner completely wrong. She was also an hour late to rehearsal for the wedding. She stated she was late because of traffic, however it was because she was coordinating another wedding and I wasn’t notified of the information. My vision for my wedding was not executed—the flowers and arch for the ceremony, the centerpieces, the seating cards. I asked for a sparkler exit MONTHS before and she told my family she never heard that from me. Our exit? Flower petals torn from the centerpieces by her staff! Her team lost very important wedding documents like our ring appraisal and insurance information, her company’s “photo booth” was a black tent and the printing and cutting of the wording was terrible. The biggest issue is that she used my father’s credit card to charge multiple “deposit” and “final” payments for things I never booked. There was NO explanation, receipt of services, or anything. Chrissy has to date completely ignored me and has not gotten back to me on any of these charges. The invoices uploaded in my wedding file are from previous brides! While I stated above, our other vendors were great to work with, even when they didn’t get paid. Chrissy took the final deposit check made out the venue, deposited it herself and ended up not paying the venue. Also, the final deposit to the photographer was a check written from her company, which bounced the morning of the wedding. I was told that my father’s credit card had been declined, so she had to write a check. I seriously doubt the credit had declined. But it could be for the multiple fraudulent charges with no explanation. I’ve kept all the e-mails and text messages from her and I strongly recommend all brides to look somewhere else.
Terrible - go to Yelp and read her reviews there. As the mother of the bride I had to constantly ask her to do things that should have already been done. She sent out the invitations so late that we had to literally call half of the people on the list to see if they were coming. She lied and said they had been sent out and postmark dates were three weeks after she told us they had been sent. The only saving grace was the sweet day of coordinator she sent that was absolutely amazing but is no longer with her. The topping on the cake was when our wedding venue called four weeks before the wedding and stayed that she had been banned from their venue for depositing checks that were supposed to go to the venue. Stay away!
Don't trust the 5 star reviews Chrissy Craft has bought and paid for on this and other sites. She is a CROOK! Look at the dates, there is NO way she is doing that many weddings folks! After seeing her husband set up a reception at the Boca Ciega Ballroom in St Pete when we were looking for a location, I talked to him and he seemed nice. I asked the a location management and they had her on their preferred list. (I am wondering what she paid to be on that now) So, I trusted them and her perfect 5 star online reviews and asked her to meet me at work to discuss my daughters wedding plans and budget. She seemed wonderful and promised the moon as I agreed to pay her $5,000 and have her cover the details and expenses. I wrote out a check and laid it on the table. Instead of giving me a contract or even a receipt, she grabbed the check, ran out the door and scanned the check in my parking lot before I could even figure out what was going on! I called her to come back in and she said she had another appointment and would be in touch. I thought, well, she forgot. No she didn't. Suddenly she was hard to reach, not returning calls or emails. I tried to get the check cancelled but the bank said it was too late. Not wanting to loose my money I kept trying to work with her. She kept making excuses of why we could not meet. her daughter was sick, she had soccer, school appointments, she had another wedding, until it was obvious I was not on her radar and realized I could not trust her and and it was better off not working with her. I told the management at Boca Ciega and they couldn't care less. We ended up having a beautiful reception there, but I - the MOB - ended up doing all the coordinating and asking friends to pitch in and help. It was exhausting and I had to force myself to enjoy the process and my daughter's special day so that my stress and bitterness would not ruin it. It has taken me 4 years to write this review and I am still upset about it. Looking back she may actually do a few weddings, but she mostly scams and then hires people to show up the day of and also write fake reviews. It is criminal the way she hurts people as they plan their one special day. I spoke to the prosecutor about taking her to court and decided to just move on. She should have her business shut down and I am waiting for her to mess with the wrong family and have them do her justice.
Where do I even begin? Chrissy at Ideal Design Events, from day one and regardless of the time of day, answered every single question I had, no matter how silly and no matter the number of things on her plate. We were never the only wedding she was working on, but when I called, I felt like we were. She knew the details of our event by heart....every time. She provided us with excellent preferred vendors, each of which we elected to use because of their quality...and they did not disappoint! Dale, her in-house florist was fantastic! 3C's Catering's staff, their menu choices and food were absolutely amazing! Phil our DJ, with Fast Breaks Entertainment is simply a genius - he is a MUST HAVE DJ!!! Weddings can be stressful - there's a lot to do and you want it to be perfect...but Chrissy and her team took all of that burden off of us and always with a smile and kind words to calm us! The guidance and coordination they provided was integral to making the wedding day a success! There is simply no way we could have done all of this ourselves....we don't have the experience, the contacts, the know-how...no way! Chrissy is an expert and she knows how to execute...she can do this in her sleep... speaking of which, I don't think she does much of! I have received calls and emails from her well after normal business hours, as she always does whatever is necessary to get the job done! I could not be happier that I partnered with Chrissy Craft, Ideal Design Events and every preferred vendor that she recommended. My daughter had the most beautiful smile on her face the entire day - and that I will never, ever forget! The guests were so pumped and had an absolutely fantastic time! The rooms looked simply amazing! The day was a total success and all thanks goes to Chrissy and her dream team, where it all began! You are the best planner ever! Thank you for always being there and for being by our sides throughout this process, every step of the way! You made Nicole's wedding day dreams come true! The day was unforgettable and is etched in our memories and hearts forever!
I don’t even know where to start!!! First let me start by saying our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t have changed a thing! We hired Chrissy pretty immediately after getting engaged and I couldn’t be happier with everything from her and her company! We purchased the full package from Chrissy, which allowed us to have her there on the actual wedding day, best decision ever! Even the vendors she works closely with and recommended were outstanding (3C’s catering, DJ Phil with Fastbreak Entertainment...)! Chrissy never steered us wrong and was always there to listen when we were stressed or concerned. She went above and beyond throughout this whole planning process and took care of details that I would have never expected her to! She even worked day and night on our wedding when she was in bed with the flu, TWICE! I think one of the most impressive things about our experience with Chrissy was how she ALWAYS made me feel like I was her only bride. I know she is always working on multiple weddings at the same time but she NEVER confused them, or pushed me aside. I know other brides must feel like that too! Wedding planning can be stressful for sure, but Chrissy always made me feel at ease, even right before walking down the aisle! She is THE BEST and I would HIGHLY recommend her to any bride!

This company only cares about the money. After you pay them you hardly ever get help/advice from them. Chrissy Craft took $4000 from us. This included her to be a part of pretty much everything in our wedding. Well, after she gets paid she is gone. The day of my wedding she showed up with a "lady helper". Well this lady was just a replacement. Chrissy Craft the wedding planner that I gave $4000 to WAS NOT AT MY WEDDING. She was no where to be found. I had to keep asking planners from the hotel and photographers for help and advice (such as time to cut the cake, time to tell the guest to join us for dinner), so I basically had a be a coordinator the day of my wedding after paying her $4000 to do so. Please Please Please brides stay away.
If it wasn’t for The Ideal design team our wedding wouldn’t not have been as magical as it was. From the start Chrissy made me feel as though she wanted me to have my dream wedding just as much as my mother. Every meeting, phone call and text message was filled with nothing but love and support ... especially during those moments every bride experiences of pure anxiety!! Chrissy and Abby even checked in with me daily the week of the wedding. Chrissy is full of information from DJ’s (Phil from Fast breaks entertainment is the best and a recommendation of Chrissy), to caterer’s, limo services... you name it she can send you in the right direction!!! Even her team that does all the set up and take down is nothing short of amazing and kind! Chrissy truly lives by “we will be your fairy godmothers that day and your friends for a lifetime!”
Wedding planners are there to make your life easier, but my experience with Ideal Design Events did the opposite of this and it became the worst experience imagined. I was referred to Chrissy by a friend & after reading reviews, I thought it would be safe to advance pay in full, which provided a discount. After I dropped off the first/final payment, it seemed that Chrissy stopped caring about me as a bride. The communication between us was abysmal, when it was even present. I was told we would have weekly chats & monthly meetings, & with my busy schedule I looked to the planner to reach out for these. If I did not remind Chrissy about the call & place the call myself it would never happen. There are countless examples of things going wrong due to poor planning/communication with excuse after excuse, and never an apology.

One particular occurrence which highlights her lack of communication is when I needed to plan the food tasting on one of the very few weekends that my out-of-state family was visiting. I offered to schedule it myself, but Chrissy insisted that her team would handle it. When I called my hotel contact to confirm the timing (something that Chrissy was supposed to do) my hotel contact said neither he nor any one on his team had heard from my planner since I first introduced them months earlier. Instead of apologizing and trying to help me rectify the situation, Chrissy insisted that she booked the tasting. The hotel agreed to honor the appointment if we could provide proof, however no such proof was ever able to be presented. I was given vague excuses of ‘oh I texted it to you’, ‘it must be lost in your email’ or ‘I’ll send it when I get to X, y or z location’, and to this day I have not received that confirmation.
Two weeks before my wedding we had our first and final walk through. Chrissy was late and I texted her to see what the delay was and her response was “keep your panties on we’re walking in”. No apologies for wasting my time, it always seemed that her time was more important. That night she asked for a credit card number to charge 4 extra helpers at $125 each for a pre-wedding event. I gave her my father’s credit card and two days later, with no explanation, invoice or receipt, my dad had over $5,000 in charges on his card. It took over a week of Chrissy dodging my questions for me to get a reply as to what these charges were for, and that was only after I was crying on the phone for 2 hours with my coordinator Tiffany as Chrissy wouldn’t answer.
In the end I wish I could say that it was all worth it and the wedding was everything I hoped for, but I am not even left with that. The tablecloths were not correct, and the ones that were there were wrinkled ruining most of my photos. I asked for pipe and drape that was missed, and Chrissy did not even bother to come check on things before, during or after the wedding. I cannot speak highly enough about Tiffany, my wedding coordinator, but she is not with the company anymore so I am not sure what future brides will do.
While these are just my opinions based on my personal experience with Chrissy Craft and Ideal Design Events, based on the treatment I received I would not want any bride to have the same experience I did.
We had a perfect experience with Ideal design events! If you’re a visual person and you want to actually see a table set and play with different possibilities, they have the most amazing warehouse. It’s a wonderland. Chrissy and Tom both make you feel like your visiting a friend on your appointments, which is wonderful when planning gets stressful. We’d give them more stars if it were a possibility!
I don’t know where to start. I was the MOB on January 20, 2018. My daughter unfortunately hired the WRONG planner at the beginning of her engagement! After months of stressing over things not getting done, wrong color in the bridesmaids bouquets and missing out on the DJ she wanted, we met with the Chrissy team!! She put us all at ease and assured us everything will be handled and my daughter’s vision would come true! I watched Chrissy in action meeting with the florist and asking such detailed questions that obviously the florist had to really think about!! On the day before her wedding, we were walking into the hotel and there was Chrissy and Pablo!! What a relief to know that she was already there and would be until Sunday morning! My calls or texts to her were immediately answered which made this momma relax!! She is my only daughter and I wanted nothing more than for her to have her dream wedding!! Well, with Chrissy and her team, Pablo and Abby, it did!!! I’m still getting messages from family and friends that this “hands down was the best wedding EVER”!!! I can truthfully say, it was all because of the Chrissy team!!! Thank you Chrissy, Pablo and Abby for calming us all down and creating such a perfect day!!! I just wish we had met sooner!!!
Chrissy Craft, owner of IDE, is so much more than a wedding planner. She is now a lifelong friend, and even FAMILY! We came to Chrissy in October 2017 when we had to fire the planner we had had for over a year at that point for our upcoming wedding Jan. 20, 2018. I was already stressed with all of the things that still had to be done and that had to be fixed. But Chrissy kept me so calm and constantly assured me I was not behind and that she would handle everything. Her communication is like NO other! I don't think I ever waited more than 1 minute to get a response from her ever! No matter what time or day of the week it was! Let me also just say that on many occasions when I asked Chrissy to call a vendor or check up on something for me, she had almost always already done it or had things all lined up. For someone who easily gets overwhelmed she made me feel so relaxed and taken care of at all times! My wedding day was a dream come true and was more beautiful than I ever could've imagined! Chrissy and her team, Abby and Pablo were equally as amazing!! They executed everything perfectly and the three of them went above and beyond my vision! My only regret is I wish I hired Chrissy sooner!! I'm still getting compliments from friends and family about how wonderful my wedding planner was and how they wish they had known about her when they got married! We love you Chrissy and IDE!!
Chrissy Craft, owner of company was a poor communicator, didn't seem organized and did not address or anticipate needs of Mother of Bride and Bride leading up to the wedding day. We were always chasing her down with emails and phone call. And there were always excuses, which as a MOB and Bride doing a wedding I really don't care, as I am the client.
Day of coordination was fair at best, mostly due to her arrogant attitude.
I will give her credit for her referrals: DaffO'Dales Florist, Dale Shirley, who did an amazing job on the flowers. Fastbreak Entertainment DJ Phil Pasek was awesome and fantastic to work with. And I must credit Tom, Chrissy husband, who work very hard with his crew set up my backyard with amazing lighting and farm tables. I expected the wedding planner to anticipate our needs, offer caring support during a very busy day...thank goodness my daughter and I are super organized and were on every detail, as Chrissy clearly was not.
I don’t even know where to begin. I could truly write a novel about the service that I received from IDE. I will try to keep this short so the character limited be allow me to complete my review. Tom and Chrissy found out that my husband and I never had a real wedding. We had planned to do a big vow renewal at our 15 year mark, well December marked our 15 year. I am a bit of a control freak and my husband is very laid back. Several times during this planning process I became frustrated beyond imagination, Chrissy stepped in on my frustrations amd resolved. Tom came right behind her confirming. Finally, I relinquished being in controlled just a bit. I would call with questions, the answer was I did that two weeks ago or already done. Finally I just conveyed what I liked and let them do whatever. The day of the renewal, my make up had to be done over at least 6 times from the tears of joy I cried over the magical, over the top, beyond my wildest dream renewal they delivered. From Chrissy and the planners with the invitations, custom place cards, ball room, cocktail hour and garden design to Tom and his crew physically making it happen. ALL my guest LOVED Chrissy! What a magical day all made possible from IDE! Thank you again for everything. I could NEVER repay you for implementing such a magical day.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing my wedding day was. Chrissy and her staff (lead by Tiffany) were so professional and gave us everything we asked for. I could not be happier with the service the day of. If there were any issues they did a good job of keeping it from myself and my mother. We were delighted with everything. Like the Father of the Bride movie she will be doing any event we have moving forward. I couldn't have done it without her company! Thank you Chrissy and Tiffany for an amazing evening.
Failed miserably on wedding day.Day-of coordinator (Loraina) said she would give my vows to the pastor to hold in his folder for me.Instead she put them under a tablecloth under a box on the table behind him at the altar but never told me or the pastor.I DIDN’T HAVE MY VOWS DURING CEREMONY AND HAD TO DO IT ALL OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD.This should be enough to make you want to run.Also failed to keep anything on schedule.A schedule had been outlined with specific times for everything.Main role of a day-of coordinator is to ensure the schedule stays on track and be the liaison between bride and vendors.Started the ceremony late (despite we were ready on time) and she spent most of night crying in the bathroom feeling sorry for herself about vows situation.My photographer and DJ luckily went above and beyond their duties to run the schedule and ensure special moments like cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss, and toasts actually happened.Repetitively in conversation and in a photo album I shared with Chrissy I asked for a large hanging center piece she had used at previous weddings at my venue and that the black curtain stage in the reception room be draped in white with lighting to match the other 3 walls.She always said these things would be done.On wedding day, stage was black and not draped and no giant hanging centerpiece.Instead green balls and bowls with green plants were hanging from the ceiling.I have since discovered IDE decorated a wedding the night before ours in our venue and left their decor up instead of taking it down and using the decorations I requested.Response from IDE day after wedding was “we f*cked up”.IDE paid for additional hour of our reception (equal to 11% of Platinum Package we paid).I said this was not enough.She agreed and said to call her after honeymoon.That call resulted in IDE blaming me and other vendors for IDE’s failures.Space is limited but feel free to contact me for more details by searching Nicole Coniglio on floridabar.org.
Chrissy and Tom were an absolute pleasure to work with! They helped with our wedding decorations and really made our vision a reality! They were always extremely responsive and easy to talk to about any idea or question that we had. They went above and beyond on every request and made our day absolutely perfect! We would highly recommend their services!

Chrissy and her team do an amazing job! They are VERY knowledgeable and do everything possible to make sure your wedding day goes perfectly. Chrissy is always available to text and responds very quickly. She knows people in every part of the wedding industry and can recommend you to the best including hair and makeup, DJ, and more. The florist, Dale, is so nice and does an amazing job! If you bring pictures of your ideas Chrissy and the team will be sure to go above and beyond your expectations.

In fact, my husband and I have spent many hours at Chrissy's office laughing our way through the wedding planning process. Chrissy and her team are very well respected throughout the wedding industry. Her team knew how to execute our wedding theme and the guests loved it! You will not be disappointed when you pick Chrissy and her team!
I cannot get over how amazing our wedding weekend went! Chrissy was very personable from the start. I loved her no nonsense attitude because she kept it real from the start and led us in the right direction the entire time!! The day of was absolutely magical. Loraina was our day of coordinator and she was amazing. Everything we had discussed with Chrissy, Loraina brought to life and ensured we were all were taken care of! She even kept our drinks refilled the entire night! Not once did I have to walk to the bar to get anything! LOL Chrissy and her team pulled it off. It's amazing what they can do with blank canvas. I can't thank them enough for being a part of mine and Kevin's special day. Every bride should consider IDE for their event. You won't regret it!!
IDE and the wedding planner Lauren did a great job making my wedding what I wanted. The months before the wedding were extremely hectic, and Lauren is the one who made sure everything stayed on track and looked perfect on the day. I highly recommend IDE!
Christina, Tom, and her team went above and beyond to make the Tampa Garden Club look absolutely amazing for our reception! They made my blush & gold dreams a reality! Christina also took the stress out of picking several of our vendors by making excellent suggestions! It was the BEST day ever!
Christina and her team did an amazing job in taking the planning part off our shoulders. She understood my needs and wishes and was always available when needed. Our wedding was on 04/15/2017 and as of today she continues to work with us with things that are still pending. Thank you very much for everything you guys did for us!

Chrissy and her Team are simply amazing! You can not go wrong hiring Ideal Design to take over your event. It will be the best decision you've ever made and will de-stress your life! :-) Ideal makes you feel like you are their only client when you know they have several other projects going on. I can't thank Chrissy and her crew for everything they did to make my Husband's Retirement Party, a wonderful time to remember. He felt honored for his 33 years of service and I couldn't of done it without Ideal Design.
Ladies if there was one thing I would change about my wedding, it would have been to book my event planner/decorator Christina Craft first!! ... She is an awesome advisor & knows her stuff - like really knows what's out there and she'll be straight up with you on what she thinks (I loved that! No bs). Not only did she help make my cocktail hour, bar and reception absolutely beautiful with her drapery and decor but she also lead me to an awesome photographer and photobooth team. Her team: Tiffany, the bartenders and serving staff were top notch and went above & beyond for us. Not to mention she helped me with everything in between & saved my life when I told her the NIGHT BEFORE my wedding that I forgot the boutonnieres 🙈. Her team had them ready for me the next day and they were gorgeous! She is even now, after the wedding, giving me suggestions for my honeymoon in the fall. She's a 💎!!! Chrissy and her team truly made our vision of a modern day Great Gatsby party come to life for our wedding! The décor and every little detail took not only our breath away, but all of our guests. We are constantly told it was the most beautiful wedding anyone has ever attended. From the chandelier aisle accents, our stunning arbor for the ceremony, and the dramatic white and gold reception, it was all perfectly put together. It was so nice not to have to worry about anything on my wedding except to just enjoy the day and have fun. No family was worrying about setting up or cleaning up at the end of the night, that alone is worth having a planner! Lauren and Tiffany did such a great job at keeping everything running as smoothly as possible amidst some of the chaos that is unavoidable at any wedding. My husband and I never had an empty drink, which was very much appreciated! Chrissy had recommended almost every vendor we used, which all were truly amazing and it made such a difference the day of the wedding. Our flowers were done by Dale, their in house florist, and let me tell you…they were stunning. My bouquet was to die for, as well as the bridesmaid’s bouquet. He truly listened to exactly what I had in mind and delivered. We cannot wait to use Ideal Design again!

While planning our first wedding and doing so from 3000 miles away from the venue, my wife and I sought out IDE because we needed some boots on the ground. What we got was so much more. As our wedding planner, Chrissy gave us both peace of mind and a piece of her mind (in a good way).
We got the fairy godmother package and it wasn’t cheap. On our 25k budget, IDE was the single biggest expense in our 165 person wedding, but it was officially worth it just 1 week later after our first talk with Chrissy when my then fiance said to me, “I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.” THAT’S what you pay the money for, folks! We’re both busy professionals and having IDE on our side allowed us to spend our, “wedding prep time,” mostly on flavor, as opposed to on logistics.
When it came to direction, Chrissy’s zillion weddings of experience really came into play. Her knowledge of vendors and venues helps her spot risks before they impact your wedding or wallet. When we had questions about which traditions were and weren’t acceptable to break, or wanted a peek into the hearts and minds of our guests before making a decision, we basically had 3 options: Talk to our parents, find a sift through dozens of disconnected internet opinions, or just talk to Chrissy about it. Spoilers: Option 3 won 90% of the time; there is just so much less of an agenda with Chrissy. Sure, weddings are big business she wants to direct business toward her people, but there was never pressure when we wanted to go in another direction. The IDE office sits on a veritable treasure trove of wedding, “junk” that helped transform a large, empty room with white walls/ceiling/floor into a very sexy venue that truly aligned with our direction/theme and made it FEEL LIKE US. That ability to take direction and translate it into exactly what you want should not be taken for granted when choosing a wedding planner.
They were also on point for the 48 hours leading up to the event, I loved that after the rehearsal, my groomsmen didn’t love Chrissy. Somebody has to take the reins and whip people into shape, and I’m glad it didn't have to be me. The big day itself went by too fast, but it was absolutely well executed. The 1 or 2 times things needed a little attention, Chrissy was prompt in making it happen.
The one category of complaint I have with our experience was the communication and the fact that I was hoping for a little better overall structure to things. For example, having regularly scheduled check-ins as opposed to my wife and I setting them up ad-hoc when we thought we needed to chat. Emails were all over the place; sometimes super long threads and sometimes one ofs, making it at times hard to pin down certain pieces of info or certain details of discussions we’d previously had. We also had an issue where emails intended to go to my wife were sent to presumably another IDE client with her same first name. A Trello board or Google sheet with specifics to-dos and key timelines/benchmarks for both sides would’ve been a nice touch, but we ended up taking on more of a burden than I’d hoped for when it came to producing the event from an organizational perspective. All that said, Chrissy was prompt and responsive when we needed something, which was great, and was kind enough to give us some of her time on her days off to chat about emergent issues.
Christy, we want to express to you and Tom how amazing you guys are. We had tears in our eyes when we saw the room & arch how pretty it was. Just Absolutely stunning and we couldn't have asked a better company to help us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts everything you and Tom have done. ☺ your services were out of this world.
Originally my now husband and I were going to try and plan our wedding ourselves. Little did I know how much detail actually went into a wedding with close to 200 people. Simply amazing! Our wedding was memorable, elegant, fun, exciting and STRESS FREE! We worked with both Christina and Lauren, and they made our dream wedding come true. My husband and I were engaged for a year, and had all these great ideas, however we are procrastinators and planned the wedding in Tampa when we lived in Virginia. That being said, they made our wedding happen in less than four months. We meet with them a total of three times face to face and the gave us everything we wanted and more. We saved some money because of the connections that Christina had, and her knowledge of the people who work in this industry is such a plus. They worked with our scheduled and always answered our questions in a timely manner. My husband was more hands on than I have ever imagined and he enjoyed working with these ladies. The personalities of the everyone at Ideal Design are professional and down to earth. The best decision we made was to hire Ideal Design. Why be stressed out on the most important day of your life? Let them handle it, they are professionals! I know they had our best interest in mind, and gave us the best advice. At the end of the day, us ladies have this imagine in our heads, but to have someone who does this on a daily basis brought me back to the real world, and their opinions were highly useful. Everyone of our guest told us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to, and I promise that you will not regret using her services. Also keep in mind that they have the connections to ensure that you have quality vendors, from photo booths to face painting to DJ, photographer etc, so using them alone gives you discounts. They will help you form the wedding of your dreams. Did I mention the warehouse? Think about this, table settings, plates, forks, spoons, knives, decorations, table clothes, signage, etc....you would have to find individual vendors to use all the products, with Ideal Design, you walk into their warehouse and you can choose what you want for a flat rate. They offer different packages, but I recommend the highest package so you don't have to worry about anything! They make you feel comfortable for whatever budget you have and will help you make the best decision for YOU! From one bride to another, trust me, you will not be disappointed if you choose to work with them. Both Chrissy and Lauren are fabulous, did I forget to mention her husband? We used Ideal Design Events for décor on our June 4th wedding. We had a rustic chic theme and their warehouse was perfect. We particularly loved their farmhouse style tables. We used 4 of them back to back for the head table. Our guest loved all the little touches on each table, and we were able to execute the perfect wedding thanks to them.

Ideal Design Events was amazing! Chrissy, Tom and their team was everything we could of asked for. When I went to their office I did not know how much went into planning a wedding so myself, my husband and Mom decided to hire them for the entire process. We got the platinum package and boy was it worth it! You do not see the value right away until the day of the wedding and you will never regret spending the money! Chrissy and her team took care of everything! If I had a problem with anything I went straight to her and she took care of it with a blink of an eye. I was actually able to enjoy our wedding without worrying about set up and break down and who was doing what. We only met with her maybe 5-7 times and everything else was text and email. I would send photos of flowers and center pieces and she ran with it. They have a lot of in-house vendors such as invitations, flowers, and bar and everything was reasonably priced. We were sooooo happy with IDE and I would suggest them to anyone getting married. I can honestly say I was COMPLETELY stress free! Thank you IDE for making the best day of our lives amazing!!!!!! My wedding was an absolute dream thanks to the vision and fantastic execution of Chrissy Craft and the Ideal Design Events team. I previously wanted to plan our wedding myself and only hire a day-of coordinator. I am so relieved that we decided against this and hired Chrissy as our planner. Whenever I had a question or an idea, Chrissy would have a solution, ways to make things better and names of the perfect vendors to help bring the ideas to life. She was extremely quick in getting back with me and getting things taken care of. There were so many times I'd ask "Aren't we running out of time for this?" and she'd let me know it's already taken care of. It was such an absolute relief to have her handle this magical event. She experienced a few devastating personal events during the time when I had her as my planner - and I was always stunned that she would still make time to reply to emails even when I didn't expect her to. She even dealt with me when I was unreasonable and stressed (over personal things) so close to the wedding - and I'm so grateful for her understanding. The biggest part isn't the journey of planning - but it's the main event. My parents, now-husband and I were so relieved that there was so little we had to worry about on the day-of. I cannot even express how beautifully she transformed our church, and our reception in the Tampa Garden Club was perfection - truly felt like a fairytale. On top of all this, she handled so many last minute scares that I would have not been able to handle on my own - my groom's tuxedo pants got "lost" on last-minute alterations and my father's came back all the wrong size - she showed up and got everything squared away while we were enjoying our rehearsal dinner. I am truly so appreciative for having her make my dreams come true with our wedding. My husband and I are deeply disappointed in Ideal Design's service. We read good reviews so we thought were safe. From the beginning we were constantly bounced around from different point of contacts, we never knew who exactly was taking care of us. So many things were screwed up on our wedding day and our family and friends were treated so rudely by the owner of this company. The only part of my wedding that I regret was hiring Ideal Design. None of our requests were followed and our ceremony staff told us how the coordinator kept trash talking the whole time. Truly a disgrace. Don't waste your time or money.
I am extremely disgusted with Chrissie. From the beginning I saw that she was unprofessional because she never had my information entered into the system and she never knew who we were. The first proposal she gave me actually had another bride's name and contact information on it! We were strictly rental customers and I'm pretty sure we were treated poorly because we were not one of her bigger customers. One of the things that struck me as unprofessional is that she talked crap about brides, weddings, and events she planned! I should have walked away at that point because it's clear she was more judgmental than helpful, But because the company's ratings were good I wanted to see what all of the hype was about, BIG MISTAKE!. Let me say our wedding day was absolutely beautiful but I was concerned about things that were discussed and agreed but never came to fruition. Our centerpieces were just flowers thrown in a vase, no floating candles, no glass beads, and no water as discussed. We specifically asked for 2 round chaffing dishes to match because we only had one. Chrissie agreed to provide two, she came with one round and one rectangular. We hired 3 servers apparently 2 called off, but the one employee brought his girlfriend and best fiend to work. So 2 of the servers we paid for were just random people!!! Periodically through the night they went missing. The food for my cocktail hour was just placed on a table, no napkins, no plates, no serving utensils, and oh yeah the tops were never opened! Water glasses were on all of the tables, with no water in them! We had to hold up the best man's toast for 10 minutes so that we could get water in everyone's glass! The archway I asked for, the one in the picture on my proposal apparently never existed, I ended up with a rinky dink one that belongs in someone's backyard. Let me say I am very easy going and most of this stuff didn't impact me on our special day. BUT when we brought these issues to Chrissie's attention she went ballistic! She was defensive and unprofessional. Telling us our wedding was a disaster! She never even addressed what went wrong let alone offered to compensate us for the things we paid for that we didn't get! Chrissie is arrogant, unprofessional, and I would not recommend that you work with this company on any level! No customer service skills, an awful company to work with!
Overall, extremely disappointing. We were ignored, emails, texts, calls, not answered. Fortunately, we were set up with our caterer by this planner and that was great. However, things that were discussed and agreed upon never came to fruition. Great suggestions made at one meeting by the planner and then 3 weeks later an invoice shows up for almost $1000.00. The owner, head planner seems to spend too much time on social media ranting about her brides and not returning messages. The day of coordinator we hired was wandering around at the rehearsal telling us and our families that "this is not rocket science" and then asking me the same questions over and over again forgetting that she had written the answers in her notebook. Wedding day, she was again rude, didn't ever introduce her assistant - who wore SHORTS!!!- couldn't seem to line us up for intros, my fabric backdrop was not what I asked for and provided a picture of, she called and texted me several times the morning of the wedding with questions that should have been taken care of at the rehearsal or with the venue event coordinator. My husband and his groomsmen had to end up moving furniture around before the ceremony themselves. I wonder what we paid for really - just a big headache and stress.
Find someone else. Save yourselves the trouble.

My husband and I hired Ideal Design events in December of 2014. I went to meet the owner Chrissy Craft to just maybe use some of her Decor. Well needless to say after our meeting I fell in love with her and we booked her platinum wedding package that included everything:) We got married on October 3rd 2015 and Chrissy was there for me all the way through! We had several meetings, consultations with other vendors, went to my dress fittings and was always there for me even for late late night phone calls:) She made every dream come true....Our Reception hall was breathe taking! When my husband and I walked into the room, words could not even express how amazed we were but it was written all over our FACES! My husband and I attend many weddings and have been in several, and I am not being biased because it was my wedding but it was honestly the prettiest and most amazing reception I have ever seen:) We even added and hour to our already 5 hour reception that night!!! Thank you again Chrissy and Tom how you turned my vision into your product was truly top notch! Thank you again and I am truly going to miss going through this process.....
I hired Ideal Design Events towards the end of my Wedding planning process after meeting with Chrissy (a co-owner) of the company. She was hired to do Day of Coordination and also helped me finalize all aspects of the Wedding planning process and ideas. Chrissy is a very hands-on person and she has a vast array of wedding knowledge. She is a great person to bounce ideas off of and to take your vision and give it a final push to becoming reality. IDE also has a huge staff, a warehouse full of rentals, an in-house graphic designer, and connections all over the city to help Brides with all aspects of planning their Wedding.
Her graphic designer created all the printed materials for our big day and we couldn't have been happier with how the place cards, wedding programs, charger cards, and other signage came out. Additionally, I was able to rent a few items for the reception through IDE which saved me from having to hire separate vendors. On the morning of my Wedding and despite my own personal nerves, Chrissy and Lorraina (her assistant) made my Wedding Day a pleasurable breeze! They took care of every detail that I could think of and some others that I probably never dreamed of. They were courteous, professional and most importantly, QUICK to respond about everything. These two women work well under pressure with smiles on their faces. I would definitely recommend Ideal Design Events for a Day of Coordination package! You won't be disappointed with the effort they put into making your Wedding Day a dream come true!
I am a very organized and detailed person, but our wedding would not have been the same without Ideal Design Events and Chrissy & Tom Craft. We paid for her premium package for the use of their warehouse, and it was well worth the money! Benches, linens, lanterns, tables, chairs, lights - I can't think of a single thing they don't have! (What would we do with 50 odd lanterns after the wedding? etc) Some of the wedding planners I initially interviewed would only give you one in person meeting, 2 phone consultations and the rest of the info came by email. Not Chrissy!! I tend to do my emails late in the evening, and would find she would respond sometimes at 2am! I don't know when she sleeps, but it is obvious she loves what she does. Because of her and her staff, our wedding day was perfect. We had planned for an outdoor wedding and reception, but the rain just would not let up. They had set up half of our tables on our deck, and had to make a last minute decision to move everything indoors. While I was getting my hair and makeup done they tore down and reset up every table, linen, lanterns and flowers. And they did an amazing job! The rain did stop at 6:15 - ceremony to begin at 7 pm and they set up all the benches and arch in time for everything to go smoothly. Also, our photographer left the country one month before our wedding and never said a word to us. We hired Chris Giordono from Chrissy's list of recommendations and he did a fabulous job. That could have been a disaster! When we arrived home the next day, everything was cleaned up and gone. You would have never known we had a 100 people in our home the night before! I not only gained a wedding planner, but also a friend. Jamie and are are forever grateful to you and all of your staff for making our special day magical!
Chrissy Craft was amazing; as well as, her team. I was such an anxiety filled bride that I had to get my happy pills so not to kill my groom before our big day. Chrissy helped to make things easier and I have never attended or been apart of a more beautiful wedding than mine. Everything was perfect and her staff set everything up perfectly. Her niece even sang live for us, "Amazing Grace". She was wonderful and all our guest were talking about the performance. They made everything run smoothly and made sure we were more than prepared for the big day. You have to book Chrissy Craft for your big day. You will not regret your decision. She is amazing at what she does and has everything and anything you need to prepare for you day.
There are not enough words to express my gratitude to Christina Craft and literally being my knight and shining armor when I needed someone the most. I bought my own satin linens for my reception tables thinking it was going to save me a lot of money. I never knew how hard it would be to get them ironed. I tried everything and even purchased $100 worth of a "promised" steam iron guaranteed to work fast and iron my linens. That did not work. I tried ironing by hand and it was taking soooo long it would never be possible to iron 18 linens in 4 days before my wedding. The dry cleaners were outrageously expensive too. I was absolutely DESPERATE!! I decided to post on a few wedding pages on Facebook asking for advice and this is when Christina contacted me. She offered to iron all my linens for FREE!! She made plans to meet me the next morning and even came half way! This was 2 days before my wedding. I was skeptical at first giving a woman I had never met my linens in feat that something would happen and I would be without linens for my wedding. But something inside me told me to trust this angel of a woman. I was supposed to pick the linens up the next day, the day before my wedding. I would have been willing to drive the 45 minutes to pick them up, although I was so busy that day getting ready for rehearsal dinner and wedding. Christina went out of her way and delivered my linens to my venue!!! She was amazing and the linens looked great!! I would suggest Christina to anyone who needs linen rental for a special event. Christina helped in a huge way to make my day even more perfect!!! For that I am forever grateful! :) Ideal Design Events all the way!!

I had a great conversation w/ Christina Craft in which we discussed several loose ends for my wedding as well as day of coordination. Shortly after that conversation, contract and payment things unraveled quickly. I met Chrissy for the first time at my venue, the meeting went well, however my impression of Chrissy was not like our phone consultation. Next, I was supposed to meet her at her warehouse a few hours after that meeting however she cancelled that meeting and disregarded my texts failing to reschedule our meeting. I feel she over promised and under delivered. The company failed to contact me for 3 weeks. When they did so, I scheduled a meeting with Chrissy on my next visit to Florida. I met with Chrissy and two team members, the meeting went well. I began working with Leesa to complete my wedding Resume (a 30 page doc that goes to all the vendors. I never felt confident nor received a final copy of this). 2 days before my wedding my coordinators changed last minutes, and Leesa let me know that her and someone I had not met were now coordinating my wedding. Along with that, I was contacted by a vendor that had not received anything from them, so much for that Resume. Leesa was very friendly and helpful but VERY new. When the ceremony began it was all very confusing. The assistant (Kat) never even introduced herself to me (I had to ask her who she was), the bridesmaids were cued before their music and worst of all we didn't even walk in the correct door, reducing my walk down the aisle significantly. The day of coordination is supposed to reduce stress not increase it. My impression as a whole was that IDE is very scattered and unorganized. Leesa was new and gave her best effort, however she should have been w/ a more experienced assistant. Every other one of my vendors was incredible and exceeded my expectations. It is unfortunate that the one that was supposed to bring them all together significantly let me down. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
Once I decided to have a destination wedding in Clearwater Beach, I was on the hunt for a wedding planner. After researching and talking with several planners, Chrissy stood out above the rest. Right after she heard my ideas for our wedding and in search for a venue, Chrissy recommended the perfect place and got the availability/information to us before we even hired her! I was very impressed that a wedding planner truly wanted to help us out for the pure fact that she loves what she does and helping others. She was so helpful and attentive the day of the wedding she even went and bought a cake topper because the one my daughter ordered and had overnighted did not arrive in time. She constructed the cannoli wedding cake the day of the event and it turned out beautiful. She made sure every detail was taken care of and this allowed me to relax and have one of the best days of my life as well! I was approached by multiple guests with thanks and praise and compliments for a beautiful wedding. Her flexibility and ability to adapt regardless of some circumstances (like guests arriving an hour early while she and her team were still finishing setting up!) was impressive. I also would like to compliment Tom and his team at Ideal Design Events for a great job setting up and getting the room ready. Chrissy and Tom made the room look absolutely beautiful, it was amazing and beyond our expectations!! Ideal Design Events is a company every bride should consider for their big day! Gary S.
