If you would like to be scammed, this is the perfect venue for you. I went to my friend’s wedding recently. She mentioned about paying for topshelf. They served KIRKLAND. Amelia (person in charge) said she left the topshelf for the expert (bartender) who would not stop claiming Kirkland is the same as patron.
The valet were overcharging the guests $13 when the couple were to be charged again. If no one said anything on the day of, they definitely would have double charged.
Four pairs of sunglasses went missing from the venue and were mysteriously found in the kitchen
Cons: Imperial is very communicative at first. However, once it got down to finalizing everything, I had to reach out to them multiple times even though they said they would get in touch with my wife and I to finalize the details.
They replaced the helpful woman that first attended to us with another woman named Amber and she couldn't care less about her job. She brushed off our concerns and requests and would say "yea yea we'll do that" or "ok just be sure to tell (the event planner)" all while being on her phone and not looking at us directly.
We asked the event planner if they would be the ones setting up our centerpieces and they said yes. Our centerpieces were not fully assembled when we arrived. They still looked good but they could have been better.
We requested a table to place our neon sign on and they said they would do it. We left our neon sign in the lobby the day before so they can put it up but instead it was placed in the bridal waiting room along with the rest of the centerpiece items we had.
They also said they would modify the itinerary to help use the time more efficiently (do the photo op activities first to get them out of the way) and they would coordinate with the DJ/MC but they never responded to emails regarding that so we weren't sure how the night was going to go.
Pros: The food was delicious. All of our guests enjoyed the food.
The bartender was pretty good too. We had our signature drinks and he made 4 out of the 5 pretty well. The other one had too much lime juice in it so it was really acidic. He had full authority to cut anyone off so he regulated his bar very well.
Basically, all the hospitality staff was phenomenal.
Overall: If you have a wedding planner/coordinator, great. If you don't then you really have to have everything ready for Imperial to execute. They said they would help but we ended up feeling more stressed because they weren't communicating. It's a good place to have an event but be sure you know exactly what you want.
Most AMAZING wedding venue ! This is a MUST and if you don’t believe me after this review and a visit within the first 30 seconds will speak for itself. You will absolutely be blown away from start to finish ! My husband and I just married here May 18, 2018 and we talk about the venue as well as the staff every single day. Still dreaming about it, Armen and Amelia were absolutely great. From the beginning to the end they made sure to help our vision come alive. Upon a first visit we knew right away this was the place but knew we needed to take our mom’s to see as well before signing anything (even tho we were ready to anyways). Amelia, the day of coordinator, and I clicked instantly on our first visit. Instead of the stern, serious coordinator we kept running into that made suggestions changing our vision, she listened and wowed is with her fun, amazing, bubbly personality and being a great listener. Giving us a very detailed tour after expressing what we wanted, it seemed to just get better and better. Upon entrance you’re hit with the beautiful lounge area and bar area. Next was the spacious bridal suite, with huge bathrooms and mirror space, the breathtaking hall with huge beautiful crystal chandeliers from the ceiling that will give you just the vision you want once walking down the aisle. She then displayed the lighting options and a few more things i won’t name to spoil your experience WHEN you go take a visit !! After touring with her, we then met Armen who listened to our vision again and goes over the packages they offer. Once again, very detailed and willing to work with what’s best for you to ensure you are bringing that vision to light within your budget. The second time I came back alone with our mom’s so they could see and wanting us to sign already, my husband unfortunately had work and couldn’t make it. But no way were we interested in any other venues. I flew back into town two weeks later and we not only signed but celebrated where we would become as one in the most elegant venue we had viewed during our venue search. On a payment plan, they both made sure to check in with us to see if we ever needed any additional help with resources as far as close vendors they work with for decor/floral arrangements and catering. We had the ceremony as well as the reception at Imperial Palace Banquet Hall. From the breathe taking set up for the ceremony, to the different change in scenery for the reception, everything was LITERALLY like a movie. May sound cliche. But they allowed our dream to come true as a bride and groom and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything in site to do just that. I literally felt just like a true Queen in beautiful palace. Along with the beautiful set up, the food was absolutely amazing. It included 7 cold appetizers, 1 hot appetizer, salad, rice, grilled vegetables and 4 meats and dinner rolls (all of our of choice. If that wasn’t enough, they paid for our 4 tier wedding cake and allowed us to choose the flavor and design! I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the service from start to finish from Armen and Amelia as well as all of the staff included to make this joyous happen. The Hall wedding is still the HOT TOPIC of all our family and friends who attended (even the ones who weren’t and just heard about it) and we have even been told our wedding was EPIC ! Absolutely thankful for IMPERIAL PALACE BANQUET HALL✨ From David and Myeesha Hall♥️♥️♥️
Any questions?
I couldn't have asked for a better place for our wedding. Management and staff went above & beyond for us and our guest. Everything was excellent and felt like a perfect & magical night for us. The food, the service, the space, the organization, .... wow.
All compliments on how gorgeous the place is....my guest loved the atmosphere, food, lighting and service....the only bummer was my cake, everything was gone and I was really looking forward to taking the top small cake home and freeze it till our 1st anniversary like everyone told me to do so :( Bakery told me it was enough for the #of guest and I still had a few guest that did not get cake...dont know if it was originally cut wrong but the cake part was disappointing(and I'm a baker myself)...Armen was such a great help and was flexible working with us... :)
My guests were in awe at the recption because of it's beauty. The food was great.
This place is great for 150-300 guests! Anything less would look too empty. But the place is BEAUTIFUL! The room speaks for it self! Everything is included! Special lighting, visual system and screen for slideshows, etc. You can add more or less but it will still look amazing. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! Everyone complimented me on the food and we had such a hard time choosing during the tasting.
The price for open bar was changed 2 weeks prior to the wedding, as well as the service charge. Open bar was supposed to be at $8 a person and when I went to do final payment it was changed to $10. Service charge was originally 5% was changed to 15%. We were told that the toast was included and it was not. If I were to do things differently I would get everything in writting first. Also a photographer that I did not hire was taking pictures and selling them to my guest. These were only the small mishaps. Overall my wedding was beautiful, we had a great time and everyone enjoyed. I loved the fact that the hall was available a day before the wedding to put any decorations and the morning of as well.
I am so happy that I had my wedding reception at the Imperial Palace. The banquet hall is beautiful and for decorations all you need to do is show up and have a florist put arrangements on tables. The chandeliers, the lighting package, the marble foyer, are all stunning. Although my wedding reception ended up being $22,000 I also had 300 guests making the total about $60 per plate - not bad. I looked at much more expensive places that were not nearly as beautiful. Food was great and traditionally Armenian, although you can customize your own menu. Although neither my husband nor I are Armenian we chose to go with their traditional fare and we loved the food as did our guests. The banquet manager, Armen, was great and did everything he could do make sure my special day went flawlessly. My husband and I (and our guests) loved the whole experience. Only two negatives. One - they charge $7 for parking (odd because it is in a suburban area where parking shouldn't be expensive). Two they had a photographer go around and take pictures of my guests, show the guests the photos, and then surprised them with a $15 per photo price tag if they wanted to purchase the photos. A few of my guests assumed I paid for her services and that the photos were free so it created a rather uncomfortable situation when they were asked to pay. I thought that was really tacky and wish they told me in advance that they had a photographer. I would not have let her come.
The banquet Hall is absolutely breathtaking. Very ornate vaulted ceilings beautiful lighting does not need much more than flowers place is beautiful food is GREAT!
