Tina and her team were the best! Fist off, the resources that she provided right when we hired In The Clouds were invaluable. The virtual meetings with Tina were so helpful! We would often go into the meeting feeling stressed and overwhelmed but then come out of the meeting feeling focused and excited. Tina was always there to answer all of our questions. Then came our wedding reception and we had the best time, everything went so smoothly and it was all thanks to Tina and her team running the show from behind the scenes. Hiring In The Clouds Events was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process!
Having Tina as our wedding planner was the best thing that we could’ve asked for. It’s not a hyperbole to say that none of it would’ve have happened without her & her team.
We found In The Clouds Events by chance when searching through listicles for a planner that could help guide us through every step of the wedding planning process. Since we were planning a LA wedding while being based in Singapore, we needed someone who was familiar with LA wedding venues, could recommend the vendors we needed, and ultimately manage the entire planning process. We chose Tina because from the beginning, she was organized, friendly, and most importantly, genuinely invested in helping us realize our wedding vision. We had met with a number of other planners and many made us feel like they were trying to push their own agenda and thus did not make us feel heard.
Over the course of 10 months, Tina guided us through all the various planning stages (despite the enormous time zone differences!), provided a great selection of vendors, and answered the countless questions we threw her way. She kept us on track both in terms of timeline as well as budget, and regularly sent recap emails to make sure we were updated on progress and clear on the outstanding tasks that needed to be completed.
While our original plan was to have an outdoors ceremony, it became clear during the week leading up to the wedding that we would need to shift things indoors due to heavy rain and unseasonably cold temperatures. Despite the last minute change, Tina coordinated with all our vendors to ensure the back-up plan was seamlessly executed such that it didn’t feel like a back-up plan at all!
We were so thankful that we could enjoy every moment of our wedding knowing that Tina was there to keep everything running smoothly. She is truly a gem and we can’t recommend her enough!
I only had less than six month to plan my wedding. To make matters worse, I reside on the East Coast, my fiancée lives in Europe and our families are located in Southern California, so planning a wedding remotely was not an easy task. Fortunately, Tina made the process less stressful. Her ideas, design and color scheme were very creative and aligned with my vision for the wedding.
Particularly, her list of vendor recommendations was a great help, since I did not know where to start. The DJ, florist, videographer/ photographer, officiant and cake design were a success. At her suggestion, I also hired a portrait lounge, which was a big hit with the guests. A few weeks before the wedding, I decided to include a Lion Dance to honor my Taiwanese culture. Tina knew exactly how to pull that off. And her ability to speak Mandarin was a personal touch to the older guests who were my parents' friends.
Tina and her assistant were awesome in coordinating the day of the wedding. She made sure all the vendors were prepared and on schedule. She cued the DJ to coordinate the music with each main activity, i.e. processional, recessional, grand entrance, lion dance, first dance, etc. In addition, everything was packed-up afterwards and handed back to me. She definitely made my wedding day more enjoyable without having to worry about the logistics.
Tina is easy to work with and pays attention to details. She offered her help if requested but was flexible when I had my own ideas. I did not want to spend a lot on single-use decoration, yet Tina created a beautiful set design for the ceremony and the reception, using her own props. My wedding was absolutely magical with Tina's planning and ideas. Many guests told me afterwards that my wedding was the best they had ever attended; I know it was due to Tina's experience and professionalism.
I highly recommend Tina to plan any special event, particularly a wedding.

Once I got engaged, I immediately started looking for our wedding coordinator. This was early 2021- where the COVID pandemic still did not hold big events. Things fell through with a previous planner, but I am so glad it happened. It led me to Tina, and the rest is history. Our reception venue recommended her, and I immediately noticed why she was a preferred vendor.
I am a rigidly-organized and detailed oriented person - so once Tina and I got started - tons of fun and magic began! Some of the things she provided: productive in-person/virtual meetings, super-organized spreadsheets/checklists, timely reminders, responsive emails/texts and sound advice. I was so impressed! She even provided some of her own items and inventory to add beautiful touches to our decor. We also added several of her recommendations, such as DJ, photobooth, rentals, and bakery to our wonderful vendor team!
Planning the biggest day of my life was very difficult and incredibly stressful, but working alongside Tina made the entire process very fun and enjoyable. I confided in her so much, where she was so understanding and focused the entire team. I am forever indebted to her & the entire team for making my wedding day a dream come true.
My wife and I are as Asian as it gets when it comes to expectations and standards...we accept nothing but perfection. Tina and her team are exactly that - Perfection.
We had to switch our planner part way through our planning process, and we were so lucky to find Tina who honestly saved us in our time of need. She onboarded very quickly and helped us further develop our vision of an Asian fairytale wedding.
Tina was always very timely and professional, and she made time for us whenever we needed it. She was very generous with letting us use her stuff when she could.
Most importantly, on the day of she made sure things went smoothly despite all the chaos behind the scenes. We had 2 weddings - 1 for each family - and the difference of having Tina there at the 2nd was night and day. We were able to just enjoy the moment and see our vision come to life.
Don't hesitate to book Tina if you can, you won't regret it.
TLDR: We have high standards and rarely recommend people but they have our highest endorsement. I have recommended them to everyone who needs a coordinator!
Tina and Vivian went above and beyond for us during the pandemic and made our wedding day so easy for us. I'm a professional organizer and I do a lot of research so I thought I could plan my own wedding, but my venue required a coordinator. I'm so glad we chose Tina! They were invaluable when everything shut down and they coordinated with all of my vendors to find a new date for us.
Day-of, I didn't have to do a thing! We were able to eat our dinners and enjoy the night and at the end of the day, they packed all my decor items, put them in our room, and emailed me a recap which I really appreciated! Truly worth every penny!
I hired Tina and her team for my wedding in October 2019. Her services started when I booked her December 2018. I’ve had the pleasure to get to know Tina throughout the 10 months. She is diligent, responsive, detailed oriented, and easy to work with. She made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. Without her, my wedding wouldn’t have gone the way it did. We had an issue where we couldn’t set up the reception area earlier than anticipated. Tina told me not to worry and handled the vendor set up like a champ! She also made sure all my DIY items for dessert table, guest sign in table, sweethearts table cloth, and etc were set up properly. Tina saw my vision and was able to recreate the wedding I wanted. Honestly, I am a big procrastinator and Tina gave me soft nudges from time to time to make sure I was on track to book my vendors and check off my tasks. I didn’t have to worry about anything on the day of since she perfected everything for me. I have and will continue to recommend Tina to everyone I need for event planning services!
