Independence harbor is a beautiful venue to have a wedding at, the grounds are perfect for an outdoor ceremony and pictures especially if you’re doing a garden or nature theme. Inside is spacious yet cozy with a dance floor that offers plenty of space for fun. The staff there are all wonderful! Sydney Davis our wedding coordinator was excellent, she attended to every need and questions we had with such grace and professionalism. The waitstaff and my bridal attendant Jocelyn were all lovely and polite and took care of everyone, they were very attentive. The food was great (my guests loved it) . And the pricing is the best all around. Definitely worth it and a must book for a venue!

Choosing Independence Harbor was a decision that we will never regret. We had our wedding at the end of March 2025 and worked with both Sydney and Jocelyn. Communication with Sydney was constant and she was always available if we had a question. The price for the venue was also so affordable and staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the ceremony and reception. We would recommend this venue to anyone getting married and were so grateful to have had the pleasure of working with Sydney and Jocelyn.

What an incredible day we had at Independence Harbor. Jocelyn and Hannah went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. We were able to just show up and enjoy our day they took care of the rest!! Highly recommend getting married here. Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful the grounds were!

Would NOT recommend them in any way shape or form. When we first booked they were kind and polite (we booked 2 years before the date) the last 6 weeks leading up to the venue was absolutely terrible. If I wasn’t so close to my wedding date I would have cancelled entirely. I arrived for my final meeting with the venue to realize that deer ate everything in the garden. (The one reason we chose this venue) they were not going to alert us of this and I guarantee the brides that showed up 2 days after my meeting had no idea. Fast forward 9 days before my wedding as I am handing Connie a large check for my final bill and she gives me immediate attitude about my wedding planner/decorator. From there she starts yelling at me, raising her voice enough for Joselyn, the venues wedding planner to come into the office. Connie was yelling at me and disrespecting me about LINENS and NAPKINS. Specifically how I am folding my napkins and the size of the linens. Keep in mind I am NOT using their linens or napkins. Joselyn takes me out of the office after Connie states “she’s not very happy with me right now” and Joselyn apologized for her behavior and stated “i am so sorry we get many complaints about her what can I do to make this better” well she didn’t make anything better - she in fact made everything harder and more stressful. They stated my decorator was only allowed in 2 hours prior to the start time (430 when I get married at 630) to set up start to finish for a 200 person wedding. They stated I would be charged $500 for every half hour extra that I needed….. so I went back to my contract which stated NOTHING about arrival for vendors nor an extra charge and when that was brought up they allowed her in at 230. Now the wedding night - Matt (another planner) came over to me and stated the limo driver said I needed to be out at 1145 - I had the venue until midnight. I brought up the contract again to Matt and told him I have the venue until midnight and he agreed. The limo driver stated they said NOTHING about this so it was a clear lie on the venues part. Don’t walk - run far far away from this venue. They are disrespectful, rude & inconsiderate. If I could give them a negative rating I would. The way they treats their brides is down right WRONG. My wedding planner/decorator stated to them that she works with 100k+ venues that treat her with the upmost respect compared to independence harbor. Again, run far far away. Don’t waste your money here. Go somewhere that is kind and makes this once in a lifetime event memorable for all the good reasons. -10/10 rating.

We had our wedding on 6/14/24. We can’t say enough about the positive experience…from start to finish. Connie was absolutely amazing and very patient during the planning process! The wedding was so beautiful, and stressful. Joselyn and Matt took care of every detail, and made the day so fun. We had a very diverse guest list, and everyone raved about the food and the atmosphere. The staff seamlessly took care of the allergies on the guest list. We literally could not have asked for a more perfect wedding!!! Thank you❤️

Having our wedding at IH was the best decision we made! Besides the fact that the venue grounds is beautiful, the food is fantastic and the coordinators were there on the day of to handle everything. We got to enjoy our wedding without a worry and all of our guests are still raving! I wish we could get married again because it was so perfect!

I had my wedding here on 8/18/23. Independence Harbor was and is the best venue to have your ceremony and reception. From start to finish, both Anne, Connie and Team were there to help us through every step. From the amazing gorgeous grounds, to the organization, to the setup I was amazed at everything. Independence Harbor made my vision come to life, if not better, than what I imagined my wedding to be. If I could do my wedding all over again I would do it with Independence Harbor. You will not regret your decision by going with them. Highly recommend.

My husband and I got married at Independence Harbor last Saturday (7/29/23), and the entire day was truly a dream. We didn't meet Matt, the day of wedding venue coordinator, until the rehearsal, and when we did, we were instantly put at ease over any stress. (Including the possibility of rain) He was honestly the best, extremely professional, and helped make sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Jocelyn was another coordinator for the day of the wedding, and she was really so wonderful as well. She collaborated with us, our photographer, and our dj to constantly make sure everything was on schedule. I really can't speak enough of the professionalism and kindness of these two, as well as the rest of the staff. They were always 10 steps ahead and took care of everything so that we could be fully present and enjoy our day. The grounds, the food, the bar, the space - every element of this venue exceeded our expectations. Independence Harbor is a hidden gem. Don't sleep on this amazing venue! Our guests keep reaching out to tell us how they had the absolute best time. I think a lot of the photos on IH's website and social media don't fully do it justice. I would highly recommend Independence Harbor as a venue to get married at. It is a beautiful venue full of colorful flowers and neatly kept garden beds. The ballroom is spacious yet cozy with a large dance floor. All of the staff are very professional and attentive. When preparing for my wedding, both Connie and Anne were super knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with kindness. During my wedding, Matt and Jocelyn were very supportive and communicative! The food tasted delicious and it was so much fun!

WOW, I cannot say enough amazing things about my wedding at the beautiful grounds of Independence Harbor. It was on 6/18/23 and throughout the planning process I worked with Connie & Anne who were both wonderful, professional, and answered my many questions promptly. During my rehearsal I had the pleasure of meeting Matt and Jocelyn and went through all the decor items with them, and Jocelyn would later be my day-of-coordinator. The day of my wedding was SO smooth and we were RIGHT on schedule with EVERYTHING. We were only asked questions when we needed to be and otherwise enjoyed ourselves the entire time. She worked with all the vendors so everything was taken care of! The food was delicious, the dance floor was full, and so many memories were made that night. Also a girl named Hannah was in charge of getting our drinks and food etc and she was the real MVP of the night. I cannot thank IH enough for the best day ever!

We had a wonderful experience with Independence Harbor from our first visit to the big day! The staff were so helpful and answered all of our questions quickly. The room looked beautiful and the outdoor grounds looked incredible! The food was great and they put a lot of work into setting up a beautiful fruit/cheese display. We offered the ice cream bar as our dessert and it was a big hit with our guests. The staff who worked at the reception were friendly, helpful and attentive. We are so happy with our decision to select IH for our reception.

Independence Harbor has absolutely beautiful grounds, and the food is outstanding. The wait staff and one of the day of coordinators were also extremely nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, in my experience the management of this venue, Connie, Anne and Matt made the process extremely stressful. If you have a vision of what you want for your day, you will be met with a healthy amount of push back. They have a very specific way of doing things and can be extremely inflexible and rigid In terms of how they want the day to go. At times, I felt bullied by this venue and I was so incredibly thankful that I hired my own day of coordinator who truly cared about me and my husband’s day. It was extremely clear that management was unhappy with some of the things I had requested and I felt very uncomfortable interacting with them. I had wanted to have our rehearsal the day before the wedding as I had family out of state and a bridal party of over 20 people that needed to know what to do. After many back and forth emails we were able to Compromise on the day before in the afternoon. They additionally told me that myself as the bride could not arrive for my 5pm ceremony until 4:30pm along with the guests and I would have to change on site as well. The day before Matt informed us I could get there at 4:15 after I had already confirmed with the bus driver what time I needed to be there. Now in real life 15 min is not a big deal, but for a wedding that is planned down to the 5 minutes this was a frustrating change that would have been better if Connie had informed me of this instead of telling me 4:30 and not a minute Earlier every time I spoke to her. I had hired a DJ for the entire day and they would not allow him to play cocktail hour music despite this being something I had indicated in my wedding packet for them that I had hired my DJ for the entire day. The day of the rehearsal and wedding it was also extremely clear that Matt did not care for or have time for the day of coordinator that I hired myself. I also ran into a few vendors that have this venue on their do not work with list. It’s truly a shame bc the grounds are amazing, the food was also extremely good. I’m just thankful for my day of coordinator Angel and my photographer Paul for helping to keep my day on track and make it everything my husband and I dreamed. Unfortunately if we could go back in time we would not have chosen this venue.

I put a deposit down for my wedding 1,000 which was 1/9/2021, due to the pandemic independence Harbor was not open. I did not want to change my date as the date meant a lot to me. The only option they gave me was to push my date which wasn’t an option for us. We emailed and kept very close contact with both Connie (who is rude) and Anne during the entire time. We also continued paying. Once it was 2 months before our wedding we asked for a full refund they did give us a portion of our money, but wouldn’t give us our 1,000 back and their reasoning was they were answering emails and phones calls!? That is not what I paid 1000 nor is that what the contracted said I was paying for! The fact that they were not even open all of our money should have been returned since they couldn’t host my wedding! Very unprofessional considering they cannot keep to the original contract on their end which is to have and host my wedding on 1/9/201. I even asked for a credit in place of 1000 for a future event or brunch and the said no. Will never recommend them to anyone! Handled business very poorly during a pandemic!!!!!

Made reservations for July 2021, due to the pandemic they cannot guarantee that we will be able to have that many guest, so we said we would like to cancel and we would forfeit the $1000 deposit and now they are saying we will lose the whole $4000 we have paid so far if they cant rebook for the same day. Very unprofessional considering they cannot keep to the original contract and guarantee the amount of people we agreed on! They should either guarantee we can have the 100 people or give us our refund!!!!

We couldn’t have possibly asked for a more perfect wedding venue than Independence Harbor. Not only was the property GORGEOUS in every way imaginable, but the staff was kind and helpful from day one. They were very responsive to emails and always willing to get on a phone call to discuss things in more detail. We planned our wedding from California which was stressful in itself, but they were very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. We walked through every detail together to make sure everything was just the way we envisioned it and they gave us timelines and worksheets so we knew what we should be working on and when. We recommend this venue to everyone and highly suggest you take the time to go visit it! The pictures are absolutely gorgeous but trust me, seeing it in person exceeds anything you can imagine.

My bride and myself would rate IH on a scale of 1 to 10 about a 14. A lot of work went on in the background to make our special day into one of the best to remember for a long time to come. The staff went out of there way to take care of our needs and any and all the “extras” that the last minute things needed to be attended to. Being in the security field, I thought that the gazebo should have several cameras to catch the ceremony in its entirety because the people taking the video could not be every place at once. The last part is only a thought for others who would like to have their time remembered for another day to view their special day

We were blessed to find and host our wedding at Independence Harbor. Anne, Connie, Matt and Shannon as well as all of the Independence harbor staff were fantastic from day one of planning until our big day in July. Everyone was patient with our inquiries (no matter how many times we hay have asked the same question :)) and eager to make the day special for us. they were able to put us on track and guide us in the right direction as far as food, music and expense. The grounds were impeccably groomed and our pictures (thanks to Dana Pierce Photography who we found through the folks at Independence harbor) came out beautiful. The groom is a landscaper by trade and he absolutely loved and appreciated the hard work they do to keep the venue looking pristine. The food was served hot and delicious to our 180 guests. The waitstaff was courteous and attentive to all. Not only have we received many, many compliments about the food and venue, but the number one question we receive is "where did you find this hidden gem?" "Hidden gem" is the perfect expression to describe Independence Harbor. Our guests were mainly from the heart of Boston and the Cape. Both areas have a lot of venues to choose from, but we are so happy we chose Independence Harbor. It had all we were looking for and was convenient for our guests with free on-site parking and it was easy to find off the highway. They also offer packages to choose from including discounted rates. Independence Harbor is a must see for couples planning their special day- they will be glad they did. Thanks to all at Independence Harbor for making our day more than we could have dreamed.

A huge round of applause to Matt, Anne, and especially Connie. I had been searching and searching for a venue for my husband and I to have both the ceremony and reception at the same place. When you first pull up to Indendence Harbor it’s just a big parking lot don’t let this fool you, walk 100 feet into where they do the ceremony and brides you will feel like Cinderella. The grounds are so well kept, the flowers are gorgeous, and the walk down the aisle is magical. Then go into the reception where you can make it your own. Of course there are some restrictions, but there has to be to otherwise you’d have chaos. Connie was there every inch of the way, answering any question I had and if she was unavailable Anne would email back within hours. She even let me come in the day before and set up my entire reception which I was thankful for as I was very particular about things. Then we met Matt who is hilarious and knows how to keep the wedding moving. Everything was perfectly timed and there was no point that anyone was waiting around. The food was phenomenal, the venue was phenomenal, the staff was phenomenal. Brides I 100% recommend Independence Harbor. Now go book your wedding !

We picked the perfect place to have our wedding. Anne Dunning and Connie Dunning were wonderful to work with. Very professional, very helpful, and easy to work with. They made the process seamless. The rest of the IH team were also great and they made our day very special. The grounds at IH are gorgeous. Our wedding guest were blown away by the beauty. In addition, our wedding reception was a Sunday brunch and everyone can't stop raving about the food. My brother-in-law actually plans to attend one of the monthly bunches that the venue hosts for the general public. I highly recommend this venue. Had a great wedding at a great price! Lovely grounds, and nice staff. Only reason I took one star is because the rehearsal wasn't super informational. The day of there was some confusion on what we do and when but it all went smoothly and had a great time.

Independence Harbor was an absolute dream! Connie and Anne were always quick and professional with their communication (and I asked a LOT of questions) and the day of, Matt and Stephanie made everything run like a well oiled machine. People are still talking about "the absolute best wedding food" they have ever had (multiple sources for that direct quote) and honestly, I'm looking forward to the next brunch myself! The venue is so beautiful and special without feeling stuffy, the affordability is second to none and once again, the food is unbelievable. Everything about our wedding day was perfection, my only regret is that it couldn't have been about 3 days longer! Highly recommended!

I had my wedding reception here on 1/5/19 and it was beautiful! They did a great job decorating and their baked filet of sole was AMAZING! They had the fireplace going so it was nice and cozy. Everything went smoothly and I could not of had more fun!

We are so fortunate to have made the best decision in selecting Independence Harbor as the venue for our wedding ceremony and reception last month. We have so many beautiful memories from the evening and have received so many compliments from our guests on the food (the Macaroni & Cheese Martini Bar was a huge hit with our guests), service, and surroundings (both the grounds and recently renovated facility are impeccably maintained). Equally as important, we couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, and organization of the IH team (throughout the year-long planning preceding the wedding, working with IH seemed to be the only aspect that was stress-free). Even in light of an emergency situation that occurred with one of our guests the evening of the wedding, the staff responded calmly and quickly to provide assistance, while still ensuring that the reception services continued for our other guests (in fact, many of our guests were not even aware that there was an emergency incident; fortunately, all turned out well for our guest). Our sincerest gratitude to Connie, Anne, Matt, and the staff of Independence Harbor for their roles in making our ceremony and reception a beautiful memory to look back on for the rest of our lives.

Me and my bride decided to plan our whole wedding in two months. Quite a dawnting task, but Matt, Connie, and the rest of the IH crew helped every step of the way and made our wedding completely incredible! I used to work there, so I know how much hard work goes on behind the scenes, but I can affirm everyone gives 110%. Deb followed us with drinks and apps as we traversed all of the harbors grounds. She also gave us coffee when we needed it and even packed up our leftovers so we could enjoy them later. October 28 was the best day of my life and independence harbor made that happen.

Our ceremony and reception were perfect! We got married during the day in June in order to take full advantage of the beautiful grounds. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was top notch. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Our guests are still raving about the food and the scenery! They also loved the passed Bloody Mary's and Mimosas that we did during cocktail hour. One of our groomsmen even booked his own wedding reception here after attending our wedding!

I can't thank Independence Harbor enough for their exceptional service for our ceremony and reception. Anne and Connie were a delight to work with, they made the planning process a piece of cake. Matt and Brenda were awesome to work with for the rehearsal and day of the wedding. They had everything down to a tee and took any worry that we had away. Our wedding was a picture perfect fall day. The grounds at IH were immaculate, the flowers and greens were impressive. The place was absolutely beautiful. Everyone couldn't believe how perfect IH is kept. We choose to do buffet #2 because how could you pick just 2 entree's. The food was delicious!!!!!! Everyone raved at how good the food was and our ice cream sundae bar was a hit as well. IH can make all your dreams come true for a picture perfect wedding, just ask Anne and Connie, they'll assist you every step of the way.

Our son and new daughter-in-law chose Independence Harbor as their wedding venue this past Saturday and the service, food, landscaping and just everything were definitely on the 'high-end' side of things. The interior was pristine, the ladies' room was clean and shiny and decorated with a fresh flower arrangement, the bar area was private and glowing and the entrance area with the place-card table was decorated with fresh flowers as well. I used to have a wedding cake business and I loved the extremely large cake table which allowed for a reflection of the cake in all the photos. Stunning! There was a separate table for the gifts, guest book and gift (envelope) box. I did not see the hors d'oeuvres table but guests told me about the beautiful setting and the vegetables carved into flowers - gorgeous! - the wedding party's hors d'oeuvres were delivered outside on our own tray as we awaited our photo ops. We had 150 total guests and the dance floor was a perfect size and could have even held more. There was a raised area next to the dance floor for a DJ or live music. I loved the bamboo-look elegant chairs and the floor length tablecloths. In short, it was PERFECT. In addition to all this, the wedding organizer, "Matt", and his team were right on top of every part of the ceremony (outdoors) and ensured that everyone was in his or her place at the appropriate time. He, in particular, was the person who held us all together!

There are no words to describe the experience we had here! Ann, Connie, and Matt are so incredible to work with. They made sure we were well taken care of at all times. My favorite part of this whole experience was the feeling like I was the most important bride they've ever worked with. I know I'm not but they made me feel like I was the only bride they were dealing with that month. The week of our wedding, they happened to change the carpet and paint in the ballroom. It was done in 3 days and it looks absolutely incredible. I loved being the only bride on the property! They do not give out shots and they've very particular about things they do and do not allow. As long as you understand their reasoning, you will absolutely not be disappointed with going with them! They make sure that you are more than taken care of and they check with you throughout the night. They left us the tray of hors d'oeuvres that were left over when cocktail hour was over and we got to pick at them as the night went on. We couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better venue to have our reception! We did not get married on the property but the setting is beautiful for a wedding as well!

Independence Harbor's grounds were beautiful and the staff were exceptional! Connie and Anne were very helpful during the whole planning process. The questionnaires and floor plan they had you fill out helped you get everything organized in one place. Independence Harbor was very affordable! We had the ceremony, reception and the food was all a part of their packages. We didn't need to spend any more money on linens, china or napkins. Those were all included in the packages that IH provides and you can customize the napkins to match your wedding colors. Everything was perfect and we were so glad that we choose Independence Harbor for our wedding day.

Fabulous, magical, romantic, flawless, delicious, unique, beautiful...these are some of the adjectives our relatives and friends used to describe Kayla and Victor's wedding/reception at Independence Harbor. The evening was absolutely perfect! The buffet was so delicious. The mash potato bar and the hot chocolate bar were huge hits. Our compliments and appreciation to your excellent staff. They were courteous, kind, accommodating, and supportive in all aspects of the wedding and reception. Our wedding last weekend was better than we could have imagined. Our family and friends haven’t stopped talking about the food, friendly service, and beauty of the venue! My husband and I are still on a high ourselves and over the moon with how well everything went! From the delicious food and perfectly placed decor, to a very old picture of my grandparents frame breaking and the venue fixing it on the spot, we cannot say enough positive things about our experience! I fell in love with this venue immediately, my husband who works a lot didn’t get to experience it until our wedding day. He too loved every second of the wedding and this amazing venue. We will be referring Independence Harbor to friends and family for years to come!

2 stars for the food. Very vendor unfriendly. Too many 'rules'. Some are understandable of course, but others are just ridiculous. Caused my ceremony to start late. Greeter at the gate was rude. Bartender seemed overwhelmed (120 people/open bar) They completely ruined my ceremony music which was supposed to be a surprise for my husband. It was actually pretty awkward. The person I dealt with was not at my wedding. I only met the coordinator at the rehearsal. I thought things were clear, but evidently not. The room is pretty but could use updating. I'm not comfortable recommending this venue to others.

My husband and I just got married at Independence Harbor this past October 2017 and it was absolutely more than we could have ever hoped for! The venue is absolutely stunning and very affordable compared to most of the venues in Massachusetts. We paid for the wedding ourselves, so cost and keeping to our budget were very important to us. They have options for every budget and regardless of your price range, they make it look amazing! A ton of friends and family members have commented on how beautiful the venue was and told us multiple times that it was one of the best weddings they have been to. Not only is the venue beautiful, but the staff was wonderful as well. Anne and Connie were always so quick to respond to my many emails full of questions and the coordinators the day of, Stephanie and Mike, were amazing. Everything ran so smoothly - I could not have asked for a more seamless process! Overall, we had an amazing experience and I would recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding!

Having our ceremony and reception at Independence Harbor was a true Fairy Tale and dream come true! We had our wedding in September 2017 -- the garden grounds were so stunning that we didn't even use any ceremony flowers. The staff is so incredibly helpful and wonderful throughout the entire planning process all the way through the wedding day. I had questions leading up to the big day and Connie set my mind at ease. The food is absolutely delicious -- our macaroni and cheese bar had a longer line than our open bar during cocktail hour! You can tell that putting on weddings and functions is what they do -- there was all the behind the scene work by there staff that made the day so seamless that I didn't have to question anything -- everyone just knew what to do and how to F L O W it all. The inside of the venue is beautiful and already partially decorated, very tastefully. Our decorations blended in and everything flowed together. To top it off, we even had 2 deer at our ceremony! I truly felt like Snow White -- talk about a Fairy Tale come true!! I highly recommend Independence Harbor. As a bride, they made me feel heard and respected, which I found amazing, as some vendors looked at us simply as a check. All those simple touches truly add up, I'm so so happy we used Independence Harbor for our wedding day!

The venue itself and ground is gorgeous! The food is great. I had a huge wedding party and felt like they didn't accept us all. As I was sitting in the limo waiting to get married and nervous I might add, I notice the coordinator talking to our limo driver as he shut the door to the limo and rolled his eyes. I am not sure what this meant, but this is 2017.....you will get all different types of a wedding party. Blame it on Pinterest. I don't find that acceptable even when my bridal party and my mother saw him roll his eyes. I get that i have a huge party, but we are paying you for a reason where we could have took our money else where. Other than that, this venue is great! Just strict.

Thank you to everyone at Independence Harbor. Our wedding was everything we had hoped. I was happy to see with the little bit of rain we were getting you handed out umbrellas to the guests. Everyone said the grounds were gorgeous, and complimented the staff. The quality of food and how fast everything came out was great. Matt and Stephanie were very helpful and professional. Even when we started to run a little behind schedule they were patient and accommodating. We are very happy we chose to have our wedding with you, and we would recommend you to anyone! Thank you again for helping us add all the personalized touches that made the night ours. We will never forget it!

During our year long planning Anne & Connie were an absolute pleasure to work with. They answered all my questions in a timely order and are extremely organized. My husband and I had our reception at Independence Harbor on 4/22/17 and it was perfection. Martha and Matt were there to make sure everything ran smoothly and were great to work with. Our guests gushed about the food, the portions, how great the service was, and how stunning the room and grounds were. If you're looking for an affordable venue with a staff that knows what they're doing, look no further. You won't be disappointed!

We could not have been happier with our experience at Independence Harbor. Right from the start the wedding coordinators help guide you through all important decisions so that your day runs as smoothly as possible. The grounds are breathtaking - no matter what the season. The chefs prepared a fantastic brunch buffet and the service in the dining room was outstanding. Our guests are still talking about what a great time they had. I would highly recommend Independence Harbor to anyone searching for a wedding venue that has it all, and for a great value.

My overall rating is 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. My husband and I got married at Independence Harbor in June 2016. The venue was gorgeous, weather was perfect & the ceremony was breathtaking! We chose the Baked Stuffed Scrod & Chicken Marsala. The scrod was perfect, chicken marsala not so much. It didn't look nor taste like a marsala sauce. Questions & planning leading up to my wedding were always with Anne & Connie. Not quite sure of their titles but it seems they are the two in the office behind the scenes. One of the two women could use a slight adjustment in her interpersonal skills. Don't get me wrong, she was not horrible but definitely a bit cold. I'm sure she has seen hundreds of weddings but being in this business I feel like she should act as if every wedding is a first for her. A bride wants to feel like her vendors are just as excited as she is. I didn't come close to feeling this vibe from this particular woman which slightly worried me throughout the planning process. On a positive note, Matt is the gentleman we had for a coordinator the day of our wedding. He was amazing! I cannot put into words how wonderful he is at what he does. I didn't have to worry about a thing! Everything ran smoothly & efficiently. He has such a great personality & made sure the day was all about my husband and me. Some of my guests have commented on how great he was! Matt's assistant was also wonderful & by my side ready to assist me with anything. I believe her name was Stephanie but I'm not certain. Overall the actual day was an amazing experience. I honestly would not change a thing. There will always be a hiccup but nothing that I would go back and change if I could. Our experience with Independence Harbor was fantastic. From day one of planning, to the hands-on staff present on the day of our wedding (thanks Matt and Katie) - Anne, Connie, and the team ensured we had a flawless wedding day. Those of you worried about not having a "wedding planner" don't fret, Connie knows answers to situations that hadn't yet crossed my mind, and the team is there to help as much/little as you need. Arts Bakery (down the road) did a fantastic job of our cake and cupcakes, and our guests raved about the mac & cheese martini bar. We highly recommend Independence Harbor to anyone scouting it out for their wedding.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous and tons of places to take pictures. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our wedding day even more special. The setup was amazing and Martha was in charge of our set up and she even repackaged our items in the original packaging when taking them down. The chef made "edible arrangements" and added the to the tables and we didn't even ask for it. It really made the sundae bar look even better!! They also include a macaroni and cheese buffet when doing the all inclusive package and our guests are still talking about how great that was!! The pricing is reasonable and they have a great all inclusive deal for weddings that are "off season" (April and November) The staff was very professional and friendly. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

My husband and I are so pleased with our experience at Independence Harbor. We were looking for a venue that would simplify the wedding process for us – no renting tents, chairs, linens, etc. – and IH was the perfect choice. Their all-inclusive wedding package made it easy to select a menu that our guests have been raving about and their grounds lent a stunning backdrop to our wedding ceremony. Admittedly, I am a very anxious person; however, I was reassured that IH was the venue for us on our first visit. All of the staff were buzzing about like busy bees preparing for a wedding that afternoon. The grounds were impeccably maintained, the tables were beautifully set, and Anne was prompt and ready to answer our questions. Throughout the year of planning our wedding and on the night of our event, we consistently received the same courteous, professional service from Anne, Connie, Matt, and the entire IH staff. We are so thankful that we selected Independence Harbor as our ceremony site and reception venue. We have received MANY compliments from our guests about the quality, taste, and presentation of the food, the beauty of the grounds, and the service provided by the wait staff. We would recommend Independence Harbor to any couple seeking a wedding venue that will guide them through the process and provide a beautiful location that they will remember forever.

Independence Harbor in Assonet, MA was fantastic! I held my wedding ceremony and had my reception here. During the year long planning process Anne and Connie where consistently there to answer all of my questions, and I had a lot of them! They were always willing to accommodate their schedule so that I could meet with them face to face on any given week. Now thats impressive knowing how many clients and how many weddings they have there each week. Upon my wedding day I was of course nervous that everything would be set up the way I had envisioned. But I no need to worry, everything was PERFECT, I had not one complaint. The wedding managers were amazing! They helped us with our rehearsal and then they were there for any little thing we needed on our big day. We had such an amazing time at our wedding and I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone! It was wonderful!

We had our wedding here in September of 2015 and it was perfection. We had our ceremony outside in the gardens. The landscape was beautiful and so quiet and serene. The weather being 68 and partly sunny made it even better. The ceremony time allotted was a half an hour which was the perfect amount of time for us. We also had our reception here. It is a classic new england style room with plenty of space and gorgeous windows. The attached porch was also perfect for the cocktail hour as well. We chose an open bar for the entire reception and there were all types and brands of alcohol available to guests. Our bar tab at the end of the night was expensive but this is what we had planned for and we wanted all of our guests to have a great time. The food was delicious, from the hors d'oeuvres to the main dish and then dessert. We chose the honey mustard chicken medallions, seafood stuffed mushrooms, mini beef wellington, and mini quiche for the cocktail hour. For the main dishes guests chose from either chicken francais or baked filet of sole. The dinner portions were large with mashed potatoes and veggies. For the dessert buffet we chose the cookie/pastry and coffee table. All of the people working who were assisting us were very friendly and accommodating. We felt extremely comfortable. Overall I would suggest this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, classic, yet affordable wedding experience. I also would recommend having you wedding during the 11:00-4:30 time slot. This is what we did, and we loved that it was daytime throughout the entire wedding. Thank you Independence Harbor for such a memorable experience!
