We live in Atlanta and signed a contract with Laura to coordinate our February 2022 wedding in Park City. This included a 2,100 deposit. Due to the health of an older parent, we made the decision to move the wedding back to Atlanta. This was less than two weeks into the process and very little work had been done. As such, we called Laura to explain the situation and mutually agreed that since she had made a few phone calls, we were happy to pay 1,100.00 for her time and that she would refund 1000.00. She never refunded the money and has ignored multiple phone calls and emails since then. Further, prior to realizing we needed to move the wedding back to Atlanta, we scheduled a trip to Park City to look at some venues and lodging. Upon arrival we called and she informed us that she did not have time to meet with us and that we needed to visit the sites on our own. In the short time we worked with her, she was largely non responsive. Based on our experience I would strongly advise against using Laura Becker and Indie Dolls.

Laura and her team are true professionals! As someone who has personally worked hundreds of events over the years, I will say without a doubt that Indie Dolls is in the the top tier of all Event designers & coordinators I have ever worked with!! Their attention to detail, level of communication, and quality of work is incredibly impressive! I can't wait to work with them again soon!
Indie Dolls Event Design + Coordinating are truly the BEST! I was so blessed to have them as my wedding planner and pulling off our special day. Everything was beautiful and we received so may compliments on our wedding and it was Laura, the owner and her team, put everything together perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner, and if I had to rate her from from 1 to 10 ......it would be a 20! Whenever we needed something or had a question, she always was responsive and quick it get back to me. She was always professional ! Laura and her team understood our vision and it turned out beautiful! Thank you so much again! I would highly recommend her to any engaged couple!
We hired Laura about a year before our wedding, wanting someone that was familiar with Salt Lake area and vendors because we were very new to the area. She made promises to vet all of the vendors and ensure that they were available on our wedding date prior to sending us the information to make an informed decision about choosing the vendor. She did not do that when it came down to it.
For example, we would ask her to send us recommendations for photographers and she would send me a list of 5 photographers that were all out of budget and did not verify availability prior to sending them to us. She sent me a list of 3 florists, I picked out my favorite and asked her to reach out to the florist for availability/pricing and she did not respond for over a week. At that point I decided to reach out to the florist myself for the information and the florist told me that she was not taking any business for all of 2022. After telling Laura this information, Laura told me that she wished I did not reach out to the florist myself because the florist had told her prior to me reaching out that she would take me as a client but did not realize that I was her client and did not want to go back on her word. Seems as though if Laura had a good relationship with the florist, the florist would have still taken me on as a client. Her responsiveness was ok (she would respond to emails fairly quickly but with a response of "working on it" or "i'll work on it") but would take a very long time to get us the information that we asked for. We wanted information about pricing/availability on multiple vendors and she would claim that the vendor would not respond to her due to it being wedding season and vendors are busy. When I reached out to the vendors I was interested in, every single vendor got back to me within 24 hours. After the first 3 months of working with her and essentially not getting anything done, I had asked her to start cc'ing my fiance and I in every single email that she sent regarding our wedding and she was not doing so and claiming that she had "multiple phone calls out" for everything. We told her about our specific deadlines that we wanted to meet and she did not meet our reasonable deadlines. To make things even worse, we had to pay half of the money up front to secure her availability and when we decided it wasn't a good fit for us we were out a significant amount of money. I would strongly recommend choosing a different wedding/event planner and if you do decide to book with her you should be aware that she does make false promises.
