My wife and I booked Tia Jenkins for our wedding in September 2019. After the wedding, she ghosted us for months (which unfortunately seems to be happening to many other people as well), and we only received the photos from her after we began pursuing legal action.
I'm not one to be negative, and all the other vendors, our videographer, and our DJ were all amazing. Tia, however, was not.
She wasn't a great communicator at first, and often we'd have to reach out multiple times to confirm specific arrangements for the wedding photography, as she wouldn't respond.
On the day of the wedding, she was on time, courteous, and professional. We also paid for a second photographer but she did not bring one, but at the time we decided to let it pass. She confirmed that we'd receive the photos in 4-6 weeks, and she sent us several sneak peek pictures. That's where things went south.
After six weeks, we reached out to her very courteously. She promised them soon, and dates came and went. I told her we were flexible, and just needed a timeline, but then she ghosted us entirely. After 2.5 months of having absolutely zero response from her, my wife and I hired a lawyer and began pursuing legal action against her. Upon learning of the legal action, Tia finally responded to my text message and uploaded the photos, which we received.
The photos were technically very good, though she did no editing.
I'm not a lawyer and can't give legal advice. However, if you are the victim of a breach of contract, you could consider hiring a lawyer, filing a claim in small claims court, filing an injunction, or contacting the Missouri Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as this falls under the MMPA.
My daughter was married in March 2016. We still have not received the album and video we contracted and paid for. I have contacted Tia several times. She has since stopped responding to my emails. She is not professional.
I have gone to the Better Business Bureau for resolution. If that doesn't work, I will be filing a claim through the courts.
We married 3/31/2018, it wasn't until June 2019 that I received access to my photos. I hired two photographers/videographers to cover our day leading up to the wedding. We just found out after receiving our footage that the guy following my husband never got video footage of his day. They failed to record my entire wedding ceremony. Only my vows were recorded. I will never get to see my wedding in totality. We gave her a bad review and afterward she forwarded our most precious moments to her sister who publicly shared them on social media. I would have never shared us exchanging our wedding vows....She is malicious and a horrible business person. Do yourself a favor and stay away. She never fulfilled the package I paid for. We will never get that day back
