We absolutely loved getting married at the InterContinental. The ballroom and views of the Wharf are absolutely stunning and blew away all our guests (especially the out-of-towners). The catering staff was incredibly attentive and the food was high quality and delicious. Cortnie was wonderful to work with and catered to all our needs throughout the process - we appreciated her so much and would definitely recommend!

I cannot recommend the InterContinental at the Wharf enough. They were so incredible and made our wedding so special. The ballroom is so beautiful and everyone at the venue was so friendly and accommodating. Us and our guests could not get over how good the food was, which is typically so rare to hear at weddings! I cannot recommend the venue more - it made our wedding day magical! Lastly, our guests could not stop raving about how nice it was to be at the wharf. The hotel is stunning and there is so much to do right around the hotel.

friendly and accommodating. Us and our guests could not get over how good the food was, which is typically so rare to hear at weddings! I cannot recommend the venue more - it made our wedding day magical! Lastly, our guests could not stop raving about how nice it was to be at the wharf. The hotel is stunning and there is so much to do right around the hotel.

n top of everything, made sure everything ran smoothly, and to our liking. The venue itself is gorgeous. Floor to ceiling windows in the ballroom separates this venue from others in DC. It is not a beautiful room in a box in the middle of the city, like most DC venues. Being on the Wharf was another added bonus for our guests. Monica from the hotel staff was especially helpful the day of. She made sure that the Bride and Groom were able to actually eat, take moments to ourselves, enjoy our favorite drinks, and feel stress free on the day of our wedding. This venue was also dog friendly, which was important to us to bring our fur baby Luna to be a part of our ceremony. The Intercontinental at the Wharf exceeded all expectations. We could not be happier.

in the air in DC, we felt like the hotel was on our side to help make our wedding happen. The 12th Floor Algonquin room has beautiful views with a full wall of windows, but we decided to have the ceremony and reception in the Waterside ballroom. They flipped the room quickly during cocktail hour. George oversaw all the staff and was so nice and efficient. Alicia was very knowledgeable and helpful, though sometimes it took a while to hear back from her. The food was great and the space worked out so well for our 165 person wedding.

ch searching, we decided to hold our wedding at the InterContinental and never looked back. We loved working with Lauren; she is thoughtful and worked with our many questions/requests. Sadly we had to cancel two wedding dates due to covid. The InterContinental team made this generally very difficult process so much easier. We appreciated their understanding and flexibility with us. Covid wedding planning has brought out the worst in many vendors, but not the Intercontinental. We hope to renew our vows there once we're in a post-covid world. Again, we highly recommend the InterContinental and will be using them for our future events.

d happened! The food was fantastic. We had 200 guests so cooking that much food would normally mean the steak, chicken or salmon would be over cooked but everyone was raving about how great it was. The hotel accommodations were great and the staff was super helpful with getting all of my guests into rooms. The day of our wedding Lauren was there every time I turned around and needed something. She’s an angel.

DC wedding. The view and hotel decor were so spectacular we didn’t feel the need to get any decorations or flowers! Lauren is the event coordinator and was such a pleasure to work with throughout the process. She was happy to make adjustments for us and we found we did not need a “day of” coordinator because she kept everything on track throughout the evening. The guests all thought the food was fantastic and our hotel suite was spacious and really beautiful. I was so thrilled with this venue and they really made our wedding feel special. We also had a family brunch there the following morning on the top floor which had stunning views as well and the meal was great. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Get married here!!

l in love with the hotel - it was the perfect mix of classy and elegant, but still felt like home to us. The staff, including Lauren, who was the BEST, made planning and coordination so easy. They worked with us to come up with the perfect menu and experience for our guests, most of whom stayed at the hotel, too, and executed everything to perfection. Anna worked to make our guests comfortable in their rooms and even helped get our guests on similar floors so that we could all be together most of the weekend! Lauren was there both on Friday to greet us when we checked in and for the ceremony rehearsal, and all day Saturday to help out with the event itself. If you are considering having your wedding, or any event at the hotel, do not hesitate. It's truly the perfect venue with the most amazing staff, and we feel SO lucky to have been able to host our wedding there!
