Island Weddings Day of Coordinating

Heather was a tremendous help on our wedding day! Even though we had a small wedding in our backyard there were so many last minute details to take care of and having Heather there to share the burden was a true blessing! Her years of experience made for quick and thoughtful decisions. Where to put the cake? When to serve dinner? Crowd control? Getting stiff drinks for the two nervous grooms! Cue the music! When do we make our appearance? Cut the cake! Champagne toast time?First dance! When do we leave? How can we leave?!? - Who’s going to deal with this mess?!?! Heather to the rescue!

Heather was a godsend to me & my fiancé as we planned our wedding. It was a perfect day & had it not been for her expertise, our wedding would have been nice but not as seemless as it was. She worked with my budget, had connections that helped to ease my budget, and was able to somehow be everywhere i needed her be; without me even knowing that’s what I needed. Her attention to detail is amazing. Im so thankful for her and the lovely person that she is. Heather became like part of my family. I’m blessed by knowing her.

Heather was a lifesaver for our wedding. My family and I agreed she was the best asset to our day. She took all the hard work out of the special day so we could enjoy it. She is great at decision making so the bride doesn’t have to. Any behind the scenes problems, she handles them all so you won’t even know they existed. Heather is super easy to work with and communication is always prompt. She anticipated our needs and made great recommendations for venues and vendors! Wow! Where do I start? Chuck proposed in May, and we decided to get married in September. We did not have long to plan a family only destination wedding on Seabrook Island, SC. Heather was with me every single step of the way. She helped us make decisions, she was there to help oversee the decorations, and she is the reason the wedding went down without any glitches! We could have never gotten married without a wedding planner there to help us before, during and after. It gave us peace of mind, freedom to enjoy our guests and the time to just live in the moment. I would not do one thing different about my wedding, and I owe that to Heather!

I am so happy that I hired Island Day of Coordinating for our special day. We had a small intimate ceremony at the courthouse followed by a reception for family and friends. I really loved that my mother was able to enjoy my wedding day with me without having to worry about the small details because of Heather. Heather was able to help my mom run the final errands and communicate with my husband and I and my mother. She was also able to help our daughter with her assignment of taking pictures of guests at the reception which was great because my husband and I were able to enjoy our reception without having to parent right then. We loved how Heather was so open with our family and offered advice up to the wedding day about everything. Heather Marshall @islandweddingsdoc was our day of coordinator at my daughter’s wedding on October 6th at the King and Prince Resort in St. Simons Island, GA. We couldn’t have done it without her! Heather has a great personality. She is experienced, organized, enthusiastic, easy to work with and kept us all calm. Even when the straps on both of my shoes broke just before the ceremony and our granddaughter from Argentina who was one of the flower girls, only speaks Spanish, she handled it all. Thanks, Heather for helping to make everything go off without a hitch and making this a perfect day for my daughter, Alexa, her husband, Steven and our families and friends!

Heather is awesome! She was so helpful to have at my ceremony rehearsal and wedding day. She really goes above and beyond. She helped with little things that were actually big things like driving me to the first look photos, cutting the cake, lining people up for the sparkler exit, and even bustled my dress for the grand exit. Heather truly helped me enjoy the entire day and not stress out.

I never thought about hiring a planner but a coordinator was recommended to me by our venue, the King and Prince. Heather came highly recommended by my photographer Bobbi Brinkman and I can say now that I don't know how anyone has a wedding day without a coordinator! THEY ARE MUST. Heather is a Saint Simons resident which was attractive to us because this was a "destination wedding" for us and all of our guests. From the moment we first spoke on the phone I felt less stressed about my wedding day. We got married in September but when Heather and I had our first phone call in January she made me feel so calm about my wedding day and my ideas. Her no-worries attitude carried into our wedding weekend when every time I wanted to start worrying or stressing Heather would swoop in and take care of it before it interfered with our special day. It was like dealing with one of my best friends, someone who always has your best interest at heart and our wedding day would not have been so perfect without her. Heather was always one step ahead and I cannot say enough about her. We love you Heather!
