They seemed really good at first buuuuut I would use caution. When I first called them a gentleman told me that it would be $250 - 500 depending on the dress but no more than $500. Then I got there and the lady told me it was $650 dollars!! I...

understand they dry clean, inspect the dress and preserve it, but there was nothing wrong with the gown except for dirt on the bottom of the dress. Also, when I picked it up they handed me my push up inserts for my boobs in a separate bag and said, sorry we had to remove them because we could not fit it in the box. I was VERY upset by this. No one called to ask if this was ok and I did not want my breast pads removed. I wanted the dress in the exact original condition that I wore it and now it is not. And they absolutely could have fit it in the box if they used something else to fill the dress instead of the fiberboard insert. They could have just stuffed it with tissue paper. I would use CAUTION!

the train. Also this price does not include the veil. As for the foam padded inserts, we are very sorry for the confusion. We did not remove your bust pads because they would not fit into the wedding chest. We removed them because bust pads, if left in place, will damage your gown. As the foam rubber ages, it deteriorates and gives off gas that yellows the fabric of your gown and will even discolor the decorations on your gown. Once that happens, the yellow can be removed, but the process is very harsh and hard on your gown. If you are going to wear your gown again in the near future, the bust pads we returned may still be usable and can easily be re-sewn into the gown. We would be happy to sew them back into the gown at no charge. I am sorry that our representative did not explain this to you in detail. Thank you for your review. t it to Islip Cleaners because they were the only members of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists on Long Island! Dan responded to my email immediately and had me bring in the gown. When I did, he was very cavalier about the situation even though I was embarrassed and upset. He knew he would be able to fix it. That kept me very calm and excited for the results. The gown was finished before the anticipated date of completion in fact, which was only about three weeks later. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars was because I would like to have received some before and after photos. He let me take a few snapshots on my phone when I dropped it off, but then when I got it back it was already packed in the box. I do not want to remove it for many years just to keep it safe so honestly, I have not really seen the results. Fingers crossed!
