It’s a Win-Win Catering, LLC

I initially was not going to leave a review at all, however, when I read a review from someone who seem to have almost had an identical experience that we had, I noticed there was a pattern with this company and my only hope is that the issues are rectified in the near future. This catering company food is very good and the owner WOW you with his presentation, however, the execution the day of falls short. During our wedding, the servers were very slow, some people received warm or cold food dinner and all the food was cold during cocktail hour. I didn't understand this because the wedding was running 40 minutes behind, the food should have been piping hot. Unfortunately, the bride and groom's food was cold too. The staff was very professional however, they were too slow. I will recommend this company, getting an administration service to handle the details of the contract and any contractual changes, so the owner can focus on his craft. I will also offer, being busy is not always good if it costs you the reputation of your business.

I originally reached out to Chef Win to cater my wedding. Upon initial interaction, he assured me that he and his team would do everything they could to make my day go smoothly (as far as catering). My mom, daughter and I went to a tasting months before the wedding and the food and hospitality given was AMAZING. So amazing that I booked Chef Win again for my birthday dinner months before the wedding. Once again the food and service given at my dinner was superb. My now husband was so excited for the wedding because the food for my dinner was prepared so well. Fast forward to the day of the wedding, things started off well and we were very excited. One minor hiccup was that we did not have champagne flutes (that would’ve came in a gift basket we were supposed to be presented with from the company) and weren’t informed of why the basket was missing until near the end of the reception. What really upset us was when we were told that the wedding party would not be served and would have to line up with the guests to be served. Not only did my mom ask them to serve the wedding party (as this is traditional for a wedding), but my day of coordinator ask on her own then came to the table to ask me and I said to tell them that the BRIDE AND GROOM would like their wedding party to be served. In the end my wedding party was still not served at the table and had to line up to receive their food. Strike one. After that debate was over, my husband and I were served, but noticed that there were food items missing from each of our plates. I had 2 rolls and he had none. We also did not have any corn. When we brought this up the response was “oh you wanted vegetables”. Yes, we wanted vegetables. We did pick our own menu AND paid to have these items served to ALL of the guests. Strike 2. After the wedding was over, my mom pointed out that the amount of food served did not match the amount of guests we said would be attending. We originally booked for 150 guests. Well with Covid, we realistically only had at most 80 guests in total in attendance. We were also told that guests were made to choose between whether they wanted fried chicken or baked chicken and to come back up for more later as if there was not enough food. When in reality there should have been way more than enough food and all guests could have taken home a full to go plate if they wanted to. To top it off, the quality of food was not nearly as good as the food we tried at tasting. I understand multiple chefs would events, but the difference was so noticeable that we didn’t even eat all of our food. The corn that they brought us (in a pile on one plate) was also COLD. Strike 3 & 4. The day after the wedding, I’m so distraught from what happened and the feedback given to me from my parents, guests and wedding party that I reach out to Chef Win. He was understanding of my concerns, apologized for the shortcomings of his team and offered to make things right. The resolution made between him and my mother , as she is the one who paid for the services, was that we would still receive our basket and a portion of the gratuity back. It has now been over a month and we have received neither. I’ve reached out twice and was told they’re on the way and he’s working on the partial refund. At this point I feel both my mother and I have been more than patient and understanding and truly deserve more than partial gratuity.

I cannot say enough good things about Win-Win Catering!! This catering company is so great that I used them for my rehearsal dinner AND wedding. Mr. Win, his wife, and staff are amazing and their food is equally as awesome. Everyone not only raved about the food at our wedding, but also about the wonderful Win-Win team who makes you feel like family the second you meet them. During a pandemic, when everything seems impossible, Mr. Win still went above and beyond to make all my food dreams come true- he followed the CDC health codes to ensure a covid friendly dinner yet still made the food presentation and buffet extremely beautiful and elegant. I was ecstatic! Will always turn to Win-Win for any event in the future. Endless thank yous to Mr. Win and his team!

I am a bride living in Denver, and am getting married back home in SC in September.. Finding the right caterer was my biggest worry when booking vendors from afar, but Win-Win Catering put my heart at ease the second I talked with them. They truly 'catered' to my desires and their communication is great! When I was in Charleston recently, Mr. Win set up the loveliest tasting so I could see firsthand how awesome they are and how delicious the food is! They are also going to great lengths to ensure health and safety standards during this pandemic. Win-Win Catering has already gone above and beyond as a vendor that I'm ecstatic to see what's to come for the actual wedding.

I booked Mr. win for my wedding and he has been so professional. He has done everything to make sure our event will be top notch. I definitely recommend him for your catering needs!!

Mr. Win and his staff was phenomenal. His crew was professional from start to finish. The caliber of service was top-notch. Mr. Win made sure that my grand opening was five stars. If you ever in need off of a five star caterer, please go with the winning team(It’s a Win -Win Catering)
