Princess and her team stuck with us through multiple reschedules because of Covid and when we finally got to have our reception everything was amazing! Our guests raved about the food and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out!

When planning our wedding we knew that we wanted to have BBQ because lots of out guest were coming in from out of town to KC. We knew that we had to show them the best so Jack Stack was our top choice! The food was amazing and the staff was so great to work with. The set up looked so good and formal. They made everything easy and it turned out exactly how we wanted it to. Multiple guest commented on how friendly and helpful the staff was. If you are looking for some delicious BBQ I highly recommend Jack Stack.

Service was wonderful from start to finish. The food, as usual, amazing! Every guest was so happy to have Jack Stack. Again, the service from Katie helping me get everything ordered to the guys setting up, maintaining and breaking down were professional, friendly, seamless, smooth and above expected service. We used Jack Stack for our welcome dinner for BBQ and the night of our wedding for a more formal dinner. The service was fantastic. We had servers overlap nights who got to know our guest's needs and were consistent throughout the weekend. Not to mention the FOOD! Could not recommend them more!

Jack Stack was so amazing to work with for our wedding! My husband and I knew we wanted to show off KC's BBQ at our wedding to out of town guests, but Jack Stack went above and beyond to provide such wonderful service and food! Princess was so lovely to work with and was so flexible in us changing our date three different times while pandemic wedding planing, and we truly appreciated her support and expertise! We truly can't thank Jack Stack enough for everything they did leading up to, during, and after our wedding to make it all so perfect. The food was outstanding and we heard so many kind and wonderful things from our guests about it! Everyone LOVED it and Jack Stack absolutely knocked it out of the park from start to finish. Jack Stack was perfect! We got so many compliments on the food! The catering manager also made sure the buffet lines were set up in an easy to fill your plate order - plus had four lines going! My wife and I both grew up in the Kansas City area and Jack Stack is hands down our favorite bbq joint. We go out of our way to make a visit any time we are in town. So when it came to our wedding, this seemed like an obvious choice. We were thrilled to eat all of our favorites on the big day and our guests raved about the food. They let us customize our menu and the service was fantastic! Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed in using Jack Stack Catering for your event.

What can I say? Jack Stack is amazing! They set up on time, staggered the setup of the cold food vs the hot food to keep everything safe for us, and the food was wonderful! Our guests were really well fed and happy to eat Jack Stack. They also cut our cake and served it. I have always loved Jack Stack and still do! Worth every penny!

Jack Stacks was the PERFECT choice for my wedding day! It was an easy choice since its already my favorite BBQ place in KC. Everyone was RAVING about the brisket and cheesy potatoes. Jack Stack was amazing and perfect for our wedding day. Princess was great to work with and had a lot of experience so she was a great source of information while planning. Most of our guests were not from the Kansas City area so they got a wonderful taste of some KC BBQ. Their staff took care of everything! Plus the food was amazing and everyone loved it! First off, the food was AMAZING. They made sure everyone had more than enough food and all of our guests were blown away by how good everything was. They were right on time, their staff were wonderful to our guests, and they kept everything clean and sanitary (this was very important to us with everyone worried about COVID). We were very happy with our choice to use them for our catering.

Jack Stack was the perfect option for our wedding reception. Many of our guests were from out of town and were so excited to have Jack Stack BBQ rather than a traditional catered meal. I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with than Princess. She could make whatever we wanted happen. She was always responsive and ready with ideas. Princess and the Jack Stack staff went above and beyond for our event. We wanted to keep our guests as safe as possible due to COVID, and Princess and staff made it happen. Jack Stack is a big part of our wedding reception and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

We had my son’ wedding rehearsal dinner at the Martin City Catering Venue. The food was excellent. Great bar. Wonderful service and then.......the bill. I’m almost 100% positive that I was told that (our original coordinator no longer works there) the “administration fee” was for tip and gratuity. But our new coordinator said the “administration fee” was for gas, water and electricity. Gas, water and electricity? I’ve never heard of that. She said that it doesn’t include the tip. The administration fee was 18%. She said that that the Martin City Venue was the only facility that the administration fee didn’t include the tip. Once again this only applies to the Martin City Venue - not the restaurant. Can anyone else confirm this - other than their employees? Thanks in advance.

We booked Jack Stack express catering for our rehearsal dinner. The food was wonderful, everyone loved it! Jack Stack was also so easy to work with. Elizabeth helped me set everything up, she was so responsive, very informative, and extremely helpful! We will definitely use them again if we need a caterer.

YOU MUST BOOK JACK STACK FOR YOUR CATERER! Wow they are fabulous! BBQ is our favorite food and being a KC wedding we figured it would be the right choice and it was!! The presentation of the dinnerware, service, and options are just phenomenal. They worked with us beyond what we thought even accommodating our vegan guests seamlessly. Everyone worked with such professionalism and were so easy to work with! Princess is amazing and we were SO happy with the outcome - as were our guests!

I'd love to give them 10 stars if possible! They were EXCEPTIONALLY accommodating and went above & beyond in everything we asked! From the very first tasting, we appreciated their professionalism, knowledge, and guidance. They worked with our budget and never pressured us into anything. Their food, of course, is out of this world! Of all things about our wedding, we got the most compliments on the food. People LOVED it! Jack Stack's servers also cut our cake and served individual slices to guests. They even accommodated my mother-in-law's last-minute request to put a homemade mint on each individual plate. Truly EXCEPTIONAL service. You won't regret booking them!!!

Delicious catering, very accommodating to our needs and fitting the menu into our budget. They were very involved during the planning and were even present during our final venue meeting to ensure all of the bases were covered. They set our tables before hand and did a stellar job of keeping the venue picked up throughout the night. The food was amazing as always. Would highly recommend them if you love BBQ!

As out-of-state parents planning a rehearsal dinner, we could not have asked for a more attentive, patient, responsive, and personable Event Coordinator than Kimberly Stouffer. A true professional who made sure every detail was addressed. The food was phenomenal as expected - Jack Stack was our first and only choice for barbecue. What far exceeded our expectation was the Jack Stack crew who attended the dinner. They anticipated our every need, served with style, and went above and beyond in helping us pack up at the end of the evening. I would choose Jack Stack again!

We used Jack Stack as our catering service for our wedding delivered to our reception venue! Wow! This catering company is AMAZING! The food was amazing, especially for being delivered out of house to our reception venue- it was still hot and delicious! Not to mention the staff Jack Stack has is amazing, they came in the day before and helped us set up our venue so we could talk about the layout/design the day before! They even helped with tear down after the reception, not just buffet tear down, but the actual tables where guests were at! Rec'd them!!

Jack Stack was our caterer at our wedding and we were blown away by the customer service, attention to detail, presentation and simply incredible food. Jack Stack catered our wedding earlier this month and did an incredible job. As always, the food was incredible but the staff was also amazing to work with. They were attentive to every detail and went above and beyond for our big day.

Everyone hire Jack Stack as the caterer for your wedding! They did our wedding and everything went perfect, the tastings were great and they made sure and did as many as we needed until we had the perfect menu, they went over all plating details with us at the tasting so we knew exactly what it would look like, and they even worked with our religious needs for the halal meat. They knew exactly what they were doing so that on the day of every single thing went perfect, while we got ready I did not have to help them at all. We got ready and by the time we were done everything looked amazing! Jack Stack is so fun to have at your wedding because it is different than every other wedding and who doesn't want Kansas City barbecue! I also highly recommend doing the plating family style, it was so fun for guests.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Freighthouse location. The decor is already so cute on the patio that you don't even need to bring any outside decorations. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious, as always. The basic buffet has everything you could want! We also did unlimited beer and wine for two hours and it was well worth it. They also provided audio equipment for speeches at no charge. Definitely recommend!

Jack Stack catered our wedding last weekend and I can honestly say, I couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience. Their food was great! But what was even better was their friendly waitstaff. They also flipped our room, cut our cake, scrapped plates, took out trash and overall helped make our wedding a seamless event. Jack Stack catered our wedding Friday night. They were on time and professional. They helped out where they could and did more than we expected. They even made a plate of food for my grandpa who was unable to attend the wedding due to failing health. They went above and beyond. Hands down; Jack Stack nailed it. Literally every detail and interaction was exactly what any bride hopes for. The coordinator was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Starting with the planning stages Allyson was a pleasure to work with. She was flexible and worked with us on making sure every detail was achieved on our Big day. On the day of our wedding the crew at jack Stack in Martin City were beyond wonderful to us and everyone at our reception. The price, the venue and the people were affordable and accommodating and we would highly recommend Jack Stack as a place to consider.

Kimberly Ryan was amazing to work with. She was so kind and friendly to us through the whole process. She went above and beyond for us. She called me after work hours to make sure I was comfortable with everything. When she found out my husband and I were sick on our wedding day she made sure we were well taken care of and got us crackers and ginger-ale. She packed us a to-go package and made sure we were good to go when she left. She stayed at our wedding longer than expected just to make sure everything went flawlessly. The FOOD is amazing and you can't go wrong with Jack Stack food....we all know that but Kimberly Ryan is the gal you should work with when you choose Jack Stack catering.

Jack Stack Barbecue catered my daughter's wedding. The service and food were amazing. The event coordinators were so easy to work with and answered questions quickly which helped make it easy to get everything planned. The presentation looked great and the on-site staff were wonderful to work with. We got so many compliments on the quality and taste of the food from our guests. Jack Stack has a wide variety of main and side dishes to choose from and we were able to create a beautiful wedding buffet. I would recommend Jack Stack to anyone looking for a buffet option for a wedding.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner for about 45 people at Jack Stack’s Freight House location, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We were planning our wedding from out of town (I’m from KC originally), and staff was extremely helpful via phone and email. They let us pick our menu from various options. Surprisingly (at least to me with it being a BBQ restaurant) they offer some great vegetarian options as well. There is also ample onsite parking. On the day of our event, staff and bartenders were wonderful and accommodating. We were really happy to offer our out of town guests some of KC’s best BBQ, and everyone kept raving about the cheesy corn! I would highly recommend hosting your event here.

Working with Jack Stack was so easy! The customer service was awesome, and the food service was even better! The wait staff was polite and professional. The kept the buffet and tables clean. Highly recommend!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Jack Stack Freight House location near Union Station. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious. We chose to do a buffet style meal. We had great service and the coordinator we worked with did an excellent job making sure the smallest details taken care of. They provided floral arrangements on each table and you have the ability to connect music to their speakers. We sat indoors with approximately 30 guests and had a private dining room. I highly recommend Jack Stack for rehearsal dinners!

We had a wonderful experience with Jack Stack catering our reception dinner. Joslyn was wonderful to work with. She answered questions quickly, knew the business well and was professional. We had plenty of delicious food, the serves kept the buffet full and helped to clear plates at the tables. They also provided cake cutting services. Overall, very happy with the quality and value of Jack Stack's services!

We used Jack Stack for our August 15th wedding. Even with a change in the person we were working with part way through our planning they did wonderful. They came highly reccomended from our reception site and we loved them! We love the restaraunt and we're happy to share our love with our guests. They were super excited to see the Jack Stack truck! Delicious! They responded quickly to each email and phone call. The only odd thing was they take back any food not served to your guest with the package we used.

We used this company both as our caterer AND for rentals, setup, and tear down. Food (5 Stars): The food was absolutely wonderful. Guests were raving about it all night! They even provided great vegetarian options. The value for the food was great too. Rental/Setup (3 Stars): The setup team was late arriving and no one bothered to inform anyone in the wedding party. After arriving, the bridal party found most of the setup team standing around outside smoking an hour prior to the ceremony beginning with much left to do for setup. Several tables (like the gift table) did not get setup at all. Pre-planning with this company was quite difficult as they weren't the most responsive which then resulted in some miscommunications the day of the event. Although there were minor mistakes in the setup, they did a wonderful job working with the bridal party to ensure everything was done on time. If you decide to use this company for rentals/setup/tear down I would suggest an accompanying day-of coordinator.

Jack Stack was a great place for the rehearsal dinner! The room was beautiful decorated & the food was so delicious! Their private dining facility was the only place with enough room for that date. It ended up being really nice to have the room to ourselves instead of being at one of the restaurants!

My fiance's family had our rehearsal dinner at Jack Stack Freight House. Even though I'm a native Kansas Citian, I had never had Jack Stack (I'm a Joe's KC girl). The venue was perfect, quaint, intimate and warm, perfect for 40 people. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. There were mic's for people to make toasts with, and room to roam around. Great venue for a rehearsal dinner!

Jack Stack's food is fantastic. The catering team on the evening of our rehearsal dinner was great--efficient, friendly and helpful. Planning, however, was stressful. Calls and emails went unreturned. Questions sometimes took weeks to get answers to. They were just not very responsive or helpful and frankly, acted like they didn't care if we used them or not, as evidenced by the fact that they have never thanked us for our business--unlike other vendors who wrote afterwards to say thank you.

We had our rehearsal dinner at this location in their indoor room (they have an outdoor option too). The high ceilings and fireplace were awesome and they were helpful with the setting up of the video my mom made for us to watch. The food and service were great!

We went to Jack Stack Downtown for our rehearsal dinner. Everything was organized and our guests (some new to the city) raved about the food. The staff was very helpful even when the parents of the bride got stuck in traffic and we delayed the dinner time. Thank you for a job well done!
