Picked the dress today and was so mad, the owner was rudely trying to sale us low quality jewelry with very unfair price, 270 for a peace of headwear, we realized we got ripped off and wanted to turn if after five minutes out of the store, but ...
the owner said they don’t do any refund. Prices for alterations are also unreasonable. Write the comments here just to share our awful experience and hope no one gets ripped off in the future. I would give zero star if I could.

You did not get "ripped off." We did not charge you for "Rush Alterations," in which your dress and jacket were altered in just two days in our shop.
You were also asked multiple times if you wanted the hairpiece before purchasing it.
Your fiancé also thought the earrings looked beautiful and wanted you to have them for your wedding day, but you did not want them, and our store manager didn't pressure you further.
Regarding the hairpiece, we tried to style you to look gorgeous on your wedding day. Our consulting is a highly valued service included for free during your bridal appointment. We all are very passionate about what we do and genuinely want you to look the best on your special day.
We are again very sorry that you feel this way about your beautiful hairpiece. After an item leaves the store, we cannot sell it as a new item, and our contracts clearly state that we do not have a return policy. You were informed that all sales were final at your first purchase and signed for it.

Jacqueline was incredibly helpful and had me try on dresses with styles that I hadn't tried on yet. And every single dress she had me try on was beautiful. She paired each of the bridal gowns with the perfect veil and made the entire experience for myself, mother, sister, and sister-in-law wonderful! Jacqueline truly has an eye for detail and knows what dresses, colors, and styles will work and every dress was more beautiful than the last. I first came by Jacqueline's with my daughter / 2 of her attendants to look at bridesmaids' dresses ... at their coaxing, I tried on a mother-of-the bride's dress (that Jacqueline picked out) that I absolutely loved ... but at the time, did not...
buy. Skip to the following week ... I went back with my sister to try on the dress (last), as well as several others Jacqueline picked out for me. I ultimately found "my dress" ... one totally different than what I was initially looking for. She also recommended me to try my dress with a corset. (I'm in my mid-50's ... in good shape; but truthfully, the corset made all the difference in the world ... and its quality was so good, I felt like I wasn't wearing anything!)
Jacqueline gave us all her attention ... she was professional

I arrived for my bridal appointment with my mother 10 minutes prior to the appointment time. The salon was dark and appeared to be closed. I called the salon and I was told someone would be down in "2 minutes". I continued to stand outside in t...
he rain when someone came and unlocked the door however we were not invited inside. When I finally and confusedly stepped inside, I was greeted by Jacqueline herself, however she did not introduce herself. The three of us sat at a table where she asked me about my vision for my wedding dress and for my budget. I showed her a photo of the dress I loved and the "dress to beat". Her immediate response was, "You can do better. This is not your dress." Upon speaking of my multi-thousand dollar budget, she stated, "I hope I can find something to show you..." She then showed me a dress that was $900 over my budget and was exactly what I had described as not wanting. She then escorted us to the "Outlet Room" with all of the outdated out of style dresses. I was told to look through the dresses with torn straps and that would be better suited in a child's dress up box than hanging in a salon. When I finally gave up the charade of being even remotely interested in giving Jacqueline my business and told her that nothing peaked my interest, she stated to me that she has been in the wedding business for 25 years and prior to that, in Germany. She told me the dress I loved was not the dress for me and that I am too young to look like that...whatever that means. I chose not to cause a scene because she is not worth it nor is her subpar bridal salon and her lackluster customer service. Please do yourself a favor and do not shop here or get insulted here. Weddings are happy experiences and occasions and Jacqueline's Bridal in Wellesley is the epicenter of unhappiness.

After opening the store and letting you in, we made sure to immediately ask whether you had to stand in the rain. Since no one had been in front of the door we were worried, however, you quickly responded that it hadn't been a problem and that you had waited in the car.I would like to apologize since it seemed like my comment on your previous dress had offended you. I assumed since you came to my shop searching for a new dress, that you were looking for something that suited you better. As a professional consultant, I prefer stating my honest opinion to my brides and having them look as beautiful as possible on their wedding days.Continuing, I agree, I had some difficulty finding a dress that matched both your taste and your budget. As an exclusive bridal boutique, our prices can't be compared to those of an outlet store. I then showed you to the saleroom. I would not consider the dresses old or outdated, after all, we've recently had many brides find their dresses in this exact room. I believe they might not have suited your taste, but please refrain from insulting the dresses other brides were so happy wearing.I do not understand where you saw a torn strap, after all, we check on all our dresses regularly to keep them in the best shape. Some dresses come with straps that can be removed. It might be possible that you saw one of those dresses and mistook it for being ripped.I agree with you, a wedding is all about love and happiness. I would 100% recommend this boutique. I love the location (I live in Boston and it's a short drive), and the interior of the store is clean and bright. Jacqueline helped me pick out a wonderful dress, and never made me feel pressured or rushed....
I had felt rushed in a store on Newbury a week before, and this felt so much more personal. The price point for dresses is also incredibly reasonable - she does custom work for a lot, of course, but in general you can get a beautiful gown anywhere from a little under $1000-4000. I also had a follow up question a few days after choosing my gown, and she gave me a thoughtful response - further helping me with the process.

When I got alterations, the seamstress was WONDERFUL. My alterations were done perfectly and ready the next day.
Jacqueline has moved to Wellesley. Her new shop is even more beautiful than the one in Lexington with lots of mother of the bride and bridesmaid dresses too. Overall, the most wonderful experience I have had with a vendor!

Jacqueline's Bridal carries a wide selection of different brands and designers, but I gravitated towards their original designs (their brand is JASILLIAN). Since the gowns were so beautiful, it was very hard for me to choose — but finally, I selected the wedding dress of my dreams! It was Jacqueline's own design, and everything about it is gorgeous.
Jacqueline also shared her expertise and insights, helping me to choose a veil that really complemented the dress. She has a wealth of knowledge and a great eye. In addition, her seamstress was absolutely lovely and helpful. (I wish I had written down her name, as I'm not sure of the spelling!)
We were fortunate to have come to Jacqueline's shop in the lead-up to the wedding. I was so thrilled with my dress, veil, and corset. I have never felt so beautiful, and I received so many compliments on my wedding day.

If you need an entire gown package, that compliments your loved ones event, this is the place to go. 76 Bedford street is nestled on Bedford street, but their is plenty of FREE parking. Shopping here was quick and easy, I had a specific budget to stay within and there was no pressure to move above! The dress I chose was pulled by an employee, so great taste as well!

nstead of in front of all my bridesmaids and future mother in law which she made a rude comment about in front of everyone which was very unnecessary. Also, while I was changing into dresses, she was not respecting privacy AT ALL. She was flinging open the curtains while I was changing so everyone could see me. Luckily, I am not super shy but it was a bit awkward (considering my future mother in law was there!). In addition, she really did not listen to anything I was saying during the appointment. She kept bringing me big ball gowns even though I did not fill that out on the paperwork and I kept repeatedly saying I did not want that. They were beautiful dresses - but not what I was looking for. I felt that I was trying to redirect the appointment myself but she was being very pushy about the dresses she thought I looked good in. Maybe I did look better in the styles she wanted, but at the end of the day, I need to feel beautiful in what I want. I felt she did not want to listen to me at all. Overall, it was an incredibly awkward experience. When I left, everyone in my party said it was uncomfortable for all of us. We could not leave this place fast enough.

They are so kind! I love this shop and already recommended it to all my friends and family. I felt so helpless after buying a dress online and it turning out to be a total waste of money. When I entered the shop, my expectations were really low...
, but this shop was a true lifesaver. The shop owner was there personally and helped me through every step. I spent a lot of time trying on different dresses, but they were very patient with me. They also had evening dresses and mother of the bride dresses, so my mother who had also come with me, also chose her dress for the wedding. I can tell you, she looked stunning. The sale was so pushy and uncomfortable and unfortunately, my experience AFTER purchasing the dress was even more miserable. If you do happen to purchase your dress here, DO NOT go through alterations at this location. TAKE THAT DRESS AND RUN. ...
During my first fitting, the owner and seamstress spent 45 minutes pushing me to purchase a veil or jewelry that was not at all the style I wanted. When I continued to politely decline, I was told my vision (which was not available for purchase in the store) would make me look like a "cheap bride". The seamstress called me "a difficult bride" when I wanted certain alterations done. After 3 visits and $800 later, the dress still did not fit right. They had sewed in the undergarments and the placement of them did not work so the seamstress cut them out herself when it did not fit. I told them my concerns and was told "I was the only one who would notice my bra hanging out". In the end, as I thought would happen, the dress did not fit comfortably the day or the wedding AND they had the audacity to charge me for the poorly done alterations that had to be undone. I didn't pay. And guess what? Multiple guests, including my grandma, pointed out my bra. all. night. long.
I was not a "bridezilla" during my wedding plans and I tried my best to be patient, but Jaqueline's Bridal brought out the worst in me and made the dress portion of my wedding experience the most stressful of all.

Thank you for your review. In your review, you mentioned our sale to be pushy. You came four times to our store, three times with different people, one time alone, and every time you tried on different dresses for over two hours...
. After the fourth visit, you asked to, again, come on another day. We decided to give you an exclusive dress from the new collection with a 20% discount. Since you loved this dress, which was, as you explained to us several times, over your budget, we thought we could make you happy by making the dress more affordable for you. After you purchased the dress you had chosen, you had your first appointment with our seamstress. We had to spend over two hours working with you on this day since you weren’t able to choose which side you wanted the ruffles to be pinned to. This day was a very stressful day for our seamstress, but she stayed patient throughout the whole process, rushing from one side to the other in order to make you happy. After you came to a decision, we scheduled you for another meeting on which you would pick your finished wedding dress up. However, you didn’t show up and we had to reschedule your appointment. When you came to pick up your dress, the dress was too big for you in the upper half of your body. You told us that this might be due to you having lost weight. Since the dress you chose was a heavy gown, the dress had to fit perfectly on the top in order to stay on your body perfectly. Our seamstress started, once again, working with you in order to help you. We decided to not charge you anything for the work done by our seamstress on that day. After the dress was finished, you came another two times. The first time you asked us to sew your purchased corset into your dress. The second time, after a few weeks, you asked us to cancel your request, but the seamstress had already finished 90% of the work. Our seamstress has been working as a seamstress for exclusive bridal and evening gowns for over 35 years. Throughout those years she had an innumerable amount of happy brides that loved and valued her work. We try to do our best to make every single one of our customers happy. When you picked up your dress, it had not yet been entirely paid for, with an open amount of about $50. You told our employee that you didn’t have the money on you and promised to pay the amount in the next few days. Our employee believed you and gave you the dress. The amount is still not paid for. Even though we tried becomingly to please you, we noticed you writing bad reviews about us on Google, wedding wire, the knot and many more, in order to hurt our store. We have been in the bridal industry for 24 years and can confidently say that our customers are happy with our work.

Several months ago, I went in to Jacqueline's Bridal in Lexington, to begin the search for the perfect dress. During my experience, I tried on several different dress styles before deciding on a dress. The sample style I chose was 2 sizes too...
big and had a price tag with a reduced price. This is where things turned badly. Once I swiped my credit card AND signed the paperwork, it was THEN that I was told that the sample I tried on was mine and a final sale. I was under the impression that I was buying a brand new dress at a reduced price in the correct size. I was livid and could not get my money back. After trying to make the dress work, going to my first fitting, and still not being happy, my mother and I requested that the alterations be STOPPED on the dress, just TWO days after my fitting. We were told we would receive a callback to let us know how much the alterations were to that point. No call was returned, so my mother followed up. We were told that "only the hem was done, but progress couldn't be checked on the dress because the room was locked and the seamstress would not be in until Thursday." The dress is now back in my hands, and isn't it funny that almost all of the alterations are done even with my stop request. I am so disappointed with their lack of honesty and truly hope that other brides are not screwed by them. I don't even want to begin to tell you how much I had to pay for the alterations. Ladies, go to Vows in Watertown and be treated right!!

Condescending and snobby attitude from the owner during my visit. While it was nice to have the place to ourselves, the owner made a point of saying right after I walked in that she doesn't usually take Sunday appointments unless she feels like...
it and that she had "4 or 5 other appointments" after me. Definitely not the way to make your brides feel welcome when they walk in the door. She also didn't seem to take my opinions seriously when I said I didn't like certain dresses or details and made a snide remark when I mentioned I had gone to David's Bridal to try things on before this (even though most of what I tried on here was identical to what David's has for a fraction of the cost). Also left me buttoned into a too small dress "just for a moment to see the back" but then asked my party if they wanted drinks and walked away! Had to have my MOH get me out so I could breathe and not pass out. The owner also felt the best way to put the veils in my straight hair was to shove them backwards into my scalp so a huge knot of hair would sit on top of my head next to the comb. Definitely the most beautiful look to have while picturing myself on my wedding day... NOT. Besides all that she also felt the need to tell me when I should wash my hair for my wedding (?!), demand my party wear white gloves while looking at dresses like they were grimy children, tell me the best ways to lose weight before the wedding (I didn't ask), wouldn't allow us to take pictures because she had to "protect the exclusive styles she has that no one else does" (surprise, they do), and made me stand in the dressing room with the curtain basically wide open while I put dresses on. Overall, my party and I left feeling like we wasted a shopping trip and spent a few rounds of cocktails discussing the ridiculousness of what I just went through. Save yourself the time and go to one of the larger, friendlier, and more professional bridal shops in the area. This place isn't worth a trip.

n we came in for my appointment Jacqueline and I sat down at a table to actually chat about what I was looking for and what I liked! Then we looked together at the dresses to decide which ones I should try on. She was so respectful of my budget and really helped me hone down what styles I liked as I tried them on. She was also great about knowing which dress to try on next and what additional dresses to pull to find the right one. Pretty soon we found my dream dress and celebrated with coffees! It was such a great experience! She also helped my Mom find a Mother of the Bride dress which is gorgeous! Jacqueline's has in-house alterations which is great so we know both of our dresses will be well cared for. Definitely would recommend this shop for anyone looking for their wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, or mother of the bride dress!
