We planned our own wedding and hired Janie to be our Day Of Coordinator. Janie’s main responsibilities were to set up our ceremony site and reception site, and to help us with our live stream and ceremony music. She did a lovely job setting up the ceremony site, and even set up a champagne table for our post-ceremony champagne toast. She did a wonderful job putting our handmade arbor together and following the instructions for setup, and she helped us to rent chairs for our ceremony. We also appreciated that she attended to our live stream and ensured the ceremony music played at the appropriate times. That being said, we were very disappointed that she did not set up our reception space, and did not communicate to us about it. At our rehearsal she had let us know that her team would take down our ceremony site while she was at our reception site setting up. She also offered to add additional decorations to the reception that we had not asked for. We arrived to our reception space a few minutes late and not a single thing had been set up. Janie was nowhere to be found and had not communicated to anyone about what was going on or why she was late. This was embarrassing for us because our guests did not know where to sit and the room was not decorated because all the items we had sent her were still in a box which she brought in later. My sister and I had to open certain items from their original boxes and start setting them up ourselves. No additional decorations were placed, and a few of the decorations we had sent her were never put out. She did not apologize or say goodbye to us after very quickly placing place cards down. Keep in mind, our wedding was very small and there were only 14 place cards to set. We had very minimal decoration (a table runner, some eucalyptus petals, and 3 vases). We are upset that she never offered us an explanation or an apology, and we are upset about the lack of communication or follow up. We still do not know what happened and have not heard from her other than to get our items sent back to us. Edited: my original review was for 3 stars, however Janie’s unprofessional response to our review has lost her points. Not only did she lie about us being an hour late to our wedding (on Google) to try to save face, but she also sent my husband a nasty text asking us to take the review down because it “made her look bad”.

Janie Miller Events is a must for all of your event planning! Janie uses the most beautiful dishes, glassware, table settings, and aesthetic in all of her work. She has a story about almost every piece she has collected. She and her team are incredibly hardworking and will ensure that your event is fabulous. We will continue to work with Janie and her team for all of our event needs! Thank you Janie!!!!

Janie and her team changed a small backyard into a magical wedding reception. Her china was the highlight, along with her creativity w flower arranging etc. So much so, the brides were stunned. I can’t say enough about Janie’s talent, dedication and work ethic.

Absolutely amazing! Janie did an incredible job from start to finish. She is professional and personable, so easy to work with. Everyone was in awe of the decor, it was all so beautiful.

Janie Miller hosted my cousins wedding in Lake Tahoe. She put such a special touch on such a special day. Her dedication to match the brides eclectic style did not go unnoticed. Everyone loved the vintage china!

Janie created a magical ambiance for our wedding. Every little detail added to a chic and welcoming setting. My friends and family are still talking out it! Janie was lovely and so so helpful. I wish we could do it all over again!
