JB Hudson was the perfect choice for our wedding bands. We had been to several jewelers throughout the twin cities and we found some OK rings but we were looking for that WOW factor. After walking in, Kelly Thomas spent the first few minutes chatting with us, just getting to know who we were. Then we stated looking through the very large selection of men's bands as she quickly narrowed down our style. There were several that we liked but she told us to come back for the Trunk show in a couple of weeks. She was well prepared and everything she showed us fit our style but there was one that was perfect for us. Kelly knew just what we were looking for and was able to find it for us. She was so fun and positive that it made the whole process enjoyable yet she still knew her stuff so the rest of the process was smooth and quick. It's easy to see that the jewelry at JB Hudson is gorgeous, but what is sometimes kept secret - Karen Allen. We worked with Kimberly the whole time. She was very knowledgeable but, there were some hiccups in the whole process which surprised me. They gave my wedding band to someone else so even though I picked out my specific one, what we wanted engraved on it, tried it on to fit the right size - I had to go through this twice. The other thing that happened which is not JB Hudson's fault but, my husband's band was also not the right amount of gold we paid for so they had the jeweler make the right one a second time. We paid for "the good stuff" and it was definitely not the right amount of gold that we paid for. Makes you wonder if anything you get is really what you paid for. I will say my husband was not the easiest to work with but, Kimberly did awesome with him and she definitely knew her jewelry! I will go back to JB Hudson and work with Kimberly.

I purchased a watch from Jennifer Santiago at JB Hudson five years ago, for our 5th wedding anniversary. My experience and interaction with Jennifer back then was so great that it was an easy decision to reach out to Jennifer again last week, when I upgraded my watch for our 10 year wedding anniversary! My experience has been nothing short of phenomenal! Jennifer is knowledgable, patient, personable and professional. After finding the perfect engagement at another retailer, my then finance and I, struggled to find the perfect wedding band for the big day. Sadly, we purchased a "simple" band for the ceremony with hopes to find a diamond band later. I am proud to say, after a few anniversaries, we purchased the PERFECT band today! For a long time now I have been deciding on the perfect gift for my fiancé for our wedding day. He does not want a ring but I knew I still wanted to give him something that he will have forever. I began working with Jennifer about a year before I proposed. Before we even started looking at rings, she took the time to get to know us, considered our budget, and educated us on just about everything we needed to know about engagement rings. It was clear she was passionate about her work and truly cared about how important of a decision this was to me and my future wife. That really impressed me. I brought my fiancée in twice and she blindly picked the same ring both times. Despite that, Jennifer was incredibly patient with me and my indecisiveness. It took me about 6 months to finally come in to buy the setting. However, before I bought anything, Jennifer encouraged me to shop competitors to get a better price. During a visit to one of the major jewelers in the Twin Cities, I spent about 20 mins consulting with a jeweler before a setting and diamond before I was asked to make a purchase decision. The price was a little lower, but so was the quality. Needless to say, I did not purchase my ring that day. Finally, after a little over 6 months of searching, I bought the setting. About a month later, I bought the diamond after working carefully with Jennifer on what I wanted. She tracked it down and pulled it aside for me to come in and see. I loved it and bought it on the spot. My (now) wife absolutely loves her ring. She is not someone was looking for a big diamond with a lot of sparkle, but the uniqueness of the setting and beauty of the diamond still get a TON of comments. We also bought our wedding bands and a men’s watch (my wedding gift) from Jennifer in prep for the wedding. Each time we had a super easy and personal experience. Jennifer even gave us a heads up on upcoming sales, which we were able to take advantage of. I should also note that a lot of wedding jewelers promote the fact that they offer long warranties, free cleaning, etc. We realized that at JB, all that is just standard. They stand behind what they sell and are going to make sure you are taken care of and love it for years to come. The day before our wedding, my wife went to see Jennifer in a little bit of a last minute panic looking for jewelry to wear on the big day because the original plan had come close to falling through. My wife explained the dilemma to Jennifer and she not only helped her pick something out, she came up with a way for us to purchase the jewelry as a contingency plan and then return it if we ended up not needing it after the wedding. Everything worked out and we did end up returning everything to the store. Jennifer didn’t have to do that and I doubt many other jewelers would. But, that is the kind of service that I have come to know from Jennifer and JB. Good luck finding elsewhere. Although I can never articulate how much I enjoyed my experience, I can tell you that I will never buy jewelry from anyone but JB. While its true JB might be a little more expensive than some, there is no way you’ll get that level of personal attention and service anywhere.

From the moment we walked into JB Hudson, we were thrilled. I hope I am not the only one that thinks engagement ring shopping is pretty stressful. I went in a few different places and got the same vibe from each sales person. However, when I met Jennifer at JB Hudson I knew I found the right fit. We purchased all of our rings for our wedding here, and could not be happier. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and honest, and we got some amazing deals on exactly the rings we wanted. That said: any guys out there looking for an engagement ring should wait for their events. They discount discontinued rings, and we got exactly the ring my wife wanted at a huge discount. We then used the points we earned on that to buy my wedding band. It was a crazy deal -- especially since they're the best jeweler in the state!

This rings aren't cheap, but the experience of shopping at JB Judson paired with the quality of their rings - made the price worth it. We purchased my engagement ring and both of our bands from JB Hudson. After dealing with a few too-pushy sales people at other stores - JB Hudson was a breath of fresh air! They have a beautiful selection that isn't overwhelming. And they are more than willing to spend time with you, and encourage you to think about it and stop back. That's a rare thing to find in any wedding vendor.

When my husband and I started shopping for rings, we went to JB Hudson first before shopping around a few other jewelers. After starting at JB Hudson, everything else seemed like a disappointment in comparison, both in product and service. We worked with Kelly Thomas, who was phenomenal. Our first shopping trip she was very helpful in educating us about diamond quality and grading, respected our budget, and created a welcoming environment. I found myself hoping I would end up with the JB Hudson ring so that we could also buy our wedding rings there. True to form, my husband read my mind and got the JB Hudson setting. Not only that, but we ended up using a family diamond instead of buying one and JB Hudson worked with us to customize the setting around our stone. She was very helpful with scheduling payments, and gave us timing guidelines for when we should be shopping for and picking up our wedding bands. Kelly worked with us via e-mail, too, which made everything very convenient and friendly. I work downtown and I found myself stopping in to get my ring cleaned for bridal showers, engagement photos, etc. and to say hi to Kelly. She was always willing to catch up and clean my ring (this is complimentary service). Not only is the showroom gorgeous, and the rings phenomenal, but this is such a good experience overall. I truly think JB Hudson will be a jeweler we return to for many special occasions throughout our married life.

After doing some digging and figuring out what the perfect engagement ring was, the next trick was to find a jewelry store that knew what I was talking about. J.B. Hudson was my first stop. In the process of looking for an engagement ring for my wife, I visited a number of local Minneapolis jewelry stores. A friend of mine finally recommended I try JB Hudson in downtown MPLS after he had worked with two amazing people to buy his wives engagement ring. My experience with JB Hudson was absolutely fantastic. I never felt pressured, I was given amazing advice, and I had the chance to work with two individuals (Jen and Julie) who were extremely friendly. After meeting with Jen and Julie, it quickly became apart that JB Hudson the perfect company to work with in picking out an engagement. After the proposal was successful and we starting to organize our wedding details; it was apparent JB Hudson would be the only jewelry store we'd go to in our search for our wedding bands. The customer service is second to none. My wife and I will be JB Hudson customers for life and I will continue to recommend them to all of my friends as they begin to go through the engagement process.

When it came to purchasing an engagement and wedding ring I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect ring and place to purchase that ring. Once I walked into jb hudson and spoke with Jen and Christy I knew I had found the place. They walked me through many different options and and made me feel right at home. My now husband and I have had a superior experience at JB Hudson's over the past year plus. Before we were engaged, I went in to Hudson's with a girlfriend to try on rings. Although we were only "potential" clients, we were treated with the highest regard and respect. Our experience with trying on rings was second to none. I spoke to my husband of our experience and, unbeknownst to me, he went in to Hudson's to work with the same gemologist - Patrick. Patrick provided the most specialized service I can imagine to my husband and myself. We had discussed the possibility of finding a sapphire from Montana for a center stone, as Montana has been a special and significant place during our relationship. Patrick happily contacted small vendors in Montana to order in a variety of stones for my husband to choose from. He was also constantly available and responsive via phone and email throughout the process - much appreciated and unique in the wedding industry! After our engagement - which was beyond any expectations - my husband spoke of Patrick and his experience working with him as though he was hanging out with a close friend. He even brought in another of our friends in order to convince him it was time to start shopping for a ring and pop the question. The two of them loved their time with Patrick. Leading up to our wedding, Patrick was always there when we needed to stop in to look at wedding bands or get a quick engagement ring cleaning. He has been a true pleasure to work with. Friends have also worked with him on several special projects over the last year, which have all turned out amazingly. Hudson's and Patrick provide truly old-fashioned customer service. I would recommend Hudson's to everyone I know. Our engagement/wedding rings are amazingly beautiful, and we are confident that Patrick and Hudson's will provide excellent service for the rest of our lives. Final note - it was clear throughout our process that Patrick genuinely enjoys seeing couples made happy by their engagement and wedding rings. Size and cost are not issues of discrimination for him - he genuinely enjoyed getting to know us and finding the perfect set-up for us as a special couple.

I have had such a great experience with JB Hudson Jewelers and specifically Jen Santiago! I can't say that I really knew what I was doing when I first started looking for engagement rings for my now wife. Don't get me wrong, I had a general idea of what I wanted it to "look" like, but I had no idea what the 4 C's were and their importance to my most important purchase yet... I was referred to Jen and JB Hudson from a friend and was immediately impressed when I visited the store for the first time (not to mention the half dozen more trips I made before my first big purchase). There is a fine line of being "salesy" and being helpful, and I would say, without hesitation, that I never felt that I was "sold" anything. My fiancé and I worked with Kimberley at the location in downtown Minneapolis to pick out both our engagement rings and wedding bands. Kimberley and JB Hudson worked tirelessly to ensure we were happy with the process every step of the way. We especially needed this after a poor experience starting out working with another jeweler to design our own rings. In celebration, they even sent us a bottle of champagne the night I proposed (I’m glad she said yes!). Overall, it was a first class experience the whole way, and I would highly recommend working with Kimberley and JB Hudson on any jewelry purchase.

Everybody in my family has now gone through not just the same jeweler, but the same representative (Kimberley) at JB Hudson (The Nicollet Mall location). She helped us find my brother and sister-in-law's rings, jewelry for my parents, and, most recently, the engagement ring and wedding bands for my (now) wife and me. We have always been happy with the service of JB Hudson and it's staff, the atmosphere is great, and the product is fantastic. Plus, even as a graduate student with rather limited income, the staff worked with me to find something within my budget that was still beautiful. My case was particularly impressive. My wife and I were living in Austria for two years before we were married. I had bought the stones that I wanted to mount in the engagement ring from a small town in Germany where my wife has family and wanted to combine that connection with the connection that my family has to JB Hudson. It was a bit difficult from Europe, but Kimberley made sure to get Skype installed on the company computers so we could video chat, look at different options, pick out a ring that would fit the stones well, and coordinate a way to get the ring made during a brief, two week window when I was home for the holidays. She has the ring made beautifully and, obviously, my wife said yes. I was so happy with the product and the experience that I insisted that our wedding bands also come from JB Hudson. The wedding bands also presented some difficulty because my wife and I were working out of town and only had brief windows when we could stop in, but JB Hudson accommodated our schedules and had rings made for us in our very small, in town window. There was even an extra quality control check from Kimberley. My wife's wedding band came in, but Kimberley wasn't satisfied with it and sent it back to have it reworked before giving it to us. Both bands turned out perfectly and we have both received many compliments on our rings since (and it is quite rare to receive compliments on a male band, so this is saying something!). I would absolutely recommend JB Hudson to anybody that wants to have a great customer experience, great service, and a fantastic product. We will definitely be staying with the company for years to come and maintaining what is now our family tradition.

I'm the bride, I'm supposed to love ring shopping, right? WRONG. My palms get sweaty, my stomach turns. It seems everywhere you go, the sales people are pushy. They show you cloudy diamonds, in cheap settings. They don't have very many options, (at least in your price range) and to customize anything seems beyond your salespersons capabilities. I would start to get nervous-is this what I will be wearing, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the rest of my life? Do I have to settle? Yuck. Get me out of here! Then the heavens open and the angels start singing when you walk in to JB Hudson. Cue *sigh of relief*! Not only is this place downright sparkly, (who doesn't love that?) It's actually fun. No cloudy diamonds, no pushy salespeople. The store is easy to navigate, the people are warm and friendly. The jewelry is beyond beautiful. They regularly host fun events with food, drinks, discounts! Working with Jennifer Santiago blew my mind. I had my heart set on a cushion cut, but the options were limited other places. JB Hudson just so happened to have a vendor in that very morning with dozens of versions of the cushion cut setting I had my eye on. Jennifer offered us champagne and I got to play princess. She explained that she's watched them cut diamonds, how she and JB Hudson research, select and purchase. She knows this process-she knows jewelry-from start to finish. She follows industry and fashion trends and knows current pricing. She does her homework. This isn't her job-it's her passion. Needless to say I found my dream ring. She even gave my wonderful fiancee some ideas on how to possibly propose! When we came back to get our bands I was again, impressed by Jennifer's organization and dedication. Since she knew we were coming, she had pulled my ring details prior and immediately provided the band that matched my ring for me to try on, as well as several other styles that might compliment it. She then worked with my fiancee to suprise me with not one band-but two-upon pick up of our items! Best part is we saved because we attended their bridal event which featured mimosas, cupcakes and other goodies! I've been known to jump up and down while clapping like an idiot in that store!! I honestly do not know if I can put into words how wonderful it was to work with JB Hudson on our engagement ring purchase. We walked in to JB to look at the large selection of vintage jewelry that I had heard so much about. As I window shopped, my boyfriend wondered into the bridal room, much to my surprise. While Jennifer introduced herself to me and we began talking, I too found myself in the bridal section! Next thing I knew, I was trying on engagement rings and looking at diamond lists! Wow, what a pleasant turn of events. Jennifer took the time to explain every part of how buying a ring setting, diamond and eventually a wedding ring would work as this was not your typical, point to a ring in a case and get it sized-type ring buying experience. She was so patient and truly excited to help us pick out this once in a lifetime purchase. After the initial shock of actually buying a diamond to go into my dream engagement ring, we were off and rolling! Jennifer and the staff of JB helped my fiance finance, design and ship my ring from the vendor to JB and then to me all without me knowing. They were so patient and sweet to help him out with such a top secret mission. I was finally officially proposed to in March for us to be married in June. It was the most fantastic experience buying not only jewelry but lasting memories with the store and the staff on my proposal. We continue to visit JB Hudson every time we get to Minneapolis. Since we live 4 hours away, it is not always convenient for us to go in for a check of my ring or to have something sized. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure to get my pieces to me as soon as possible. They are always just a phone call away! My husband, who is a very meticulous man when it comes to jewelry, chose to purchase my engagement ring from JB (downtown location). I didn't give him any feedback prior to our engagement about my "dream ring", however, with the wonderful help of Jennifer, he picked out the absolute perfect ring for me! The experience that my husband and I experienced with Jennifer Santiago was beyond the normal customer service anyone has ever given us. Jennifer, worked with my husband for over a year just to pick the right diamond, the right setting, just every little detail!!! She was amazing and if my diamond ring just happen to be the only item we ever purchase (but which it will not be) Jennifer would still give us the best service if we bought hundred's of items. JB Hudson is a great place to purchase engagement rings and wedding bands, they have a good sized selection of high quality rings and diamonds. We were able to purchase both the engagement ring and our wedding bands here and Julie took great care of us from the time my husband first walked in the door. She took the time to sit down with him and walk him through the process of picking out a setting and the center stone to match perfectly even though we weren't buying an extremely high end piece. The turnaround time on everything was outstanding as is the service from every member of the staff!

My boyfriend gave me the task of setting out to find a few ideas of what kind of engagement ring I would like and JB Hudson was my first stop. Patrick Nelson location helped me create a special engagement ring for my then girlfriend. He went out of his way to find a pair of matching sapphires in a particular shade of purple and size. I was impressed, and will likely do business with him in the future.

I cannot say enough nice things about JB Hudson and especially, Julie Garner. I was not and am not the easiest customer. My other half and I walked into the store -- one of our first shops actually -- and had no idea what to expect. I was NOT the person who had a dream ring or wedding planned out; frankly marriage was not a bucket list goal. Julie clearly sensed my insecurity and discomfort with talking "engagement" and was PERFECT! She read us and figured out how to make us feel most comfortable about this big discussion from the start. In addition, I was interested in exploring different types of gems, colored diamonds, etc. Julie and JB Hudson was the only jeweler that we visited that jumped right in to help with this research. Julie found information on colored diamonds and without us even asking ordered several into the store and let us try them out in a setting we liked. It was amazing! Now that we are through the engagement phase, Julie has continued to keep in touch with us over email and walk us through the rest of the process. We communicate about bands, timing, pricing, meetings at the store to try on pieces, etc. I have an extremely busy travel schedule and getting to the store is next to impossible, so being able to work out these details over email is invaluable. Two last points -- Julie is such a talented, kind, and fun person. That makes such a difference in this whole experience. And lastly, the pricing and value at JB Hudson is excellent. We compared rings, gems, styles across a few jewelers and JB Hudson was very fair and quite transparent about the pricing; although, regardless of that value I would say working with Julie and the company is well worth it!

Easiest part of my wedding was buying my ring. I was worried but was put at ease and would go back to JB Hudsons in a second.

We went to a friends wedding in Minneapolis. We had been looking for an engagement ring for many months and weren't even looking for a ring this day. Kelly was and still is amazing. She easily understood my taste and picked a ring I would be never had tried. I'm so in love!! Their prices were great for the quality. She even picked the grooms ring by email since we lived far away. I continue to recommend her for families. The store variety and quality topped any I have around me. She was honest with pricing which I very much appreciated. Such a great time and memory.
