From my initial trial to the big event, Jeanne and her team were timely, proactive, friendly, and understanding in their communication. I truly got to know Jeanne on a personal level, which made me feel so comfortable and at ease on my wedding day. Jeanne brought my vision for bridal hair and makeup to life flawlessly. Between her careful work and thoughtful approach, she created a simply beautiful look that made me feel like the best version of myself. Her partner Tabitha was equally talented. Together, they helped make my wedding morning stress-free and fun. I cannot recommend Jeanne's enough for any bride looking for top-notch hair and makeup artistry.

I really enjoyed working with Jeanne and highly recommend her to any and all brides! Jeanne has an enormous amount of experience and knowledge; she's done make-up and hair for decades. When it comes to weddings, she has a lot of wisdom and has done a variety of looks. I selected Jeanne based on her portfolio of work and her pricing (very fair and transparent). She was a joy to work with! I do not wear a lot of make-up normally, nor do I do my hair, but immediately she came up with ideas of how to style my hair and what kind of make-up I could wear that would make me feel comfortable and confident. We did a trial run (which I highly recommend) and it went so smoothly; I was really impressed with her attention to detail and professionalism. I had Jeanne (and her team of stylists) come out to my wedding venue on the day of the wedding to provide hair and make-services for myself, my seven bridesmaids, my sister, my mother, and my mother-in-law. Jeanne and her team were so efficient! We had plenty of time left to relax and enjoy ourselves before the wedding. Her team started at 8am and I think all of the women were done and ready well before noon. Everyone looked so wonderful! In addition, Jeanne and her team were really receptive to the different skin tones and preferred looks for everyone. I really appreciated with how they worked with each person to make them feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful. Really professional team, fantastic looks--I could not be happier! Jeanne is a wonderful person, through and through. She really loves what she does and she takes the time to get to know everyone. She treated me like a daughter of her own; I felt very supported by Jeanne. Huge thank you to Jeanne and her team!

I would highly recommend Jeanne's Hair & Makeup Studio. They bent over backward to find someone available to travel to my wedding site to do my hair and makeup last minute during a busy time of the year. They asked lots of questions and for photos of inspiration ahead of time to ensure they knew exactly what I envisioned. Both girls were super sweet and supportive. They did a fantastic job making my vision become a reality!

Jeanne came in clutch when it turned out our original salon was becoming difficult to work with. She was hired MAXIMUM a month out from my wedding date, for only one of my bridal party, AND in a remote location, and she made it work. She was cool under pressure. I was worried I was going to create a “stylist rivalry” by having two different folks come to the venue to work on girls, but was so incredibly professional that I wish I selected her from the get-go. You rock, Jeanne!

Jeanne’s Hair and Makeup was nothing but flawless from wedding planning stages to the final product on the big day. Being from south Florida , I was a little hesitant about picking someone for a makeup trial for a destination wedding. Jeanne and her team put my mind to easy immediately at the first trial. Her team created the exact natural look I wanted for my wedding day. Her goal was to make sure that I still looked like myself after my hair and makeup was complete and I was absolutely radiating. My brides-maids were also in love with their hair makeup up! Her dedicated team came to our venue on the big day and were extremely pleasant and professional. They truly made my wedding makeup dreams come true! I would highly recommend!

Jeanne's team did my and my wedding party's hair and makeup for my wedding and it was beautiful! My hair, done by Rebecca, stayed in all day and she was so great to work with, as well as the other stylists. Jeanne did my hair and makeup for my wedding on 2/22/22. She also did my mothers and grandmothers hair and make up. She did a fantastic job! She was professional, kind, took her time, made us comfortable, and the results were perfect!

Overall, it was okay. I wanted very subtle/natural makeup and Hollywood waves for my hair. During the trial, my hair was closer to straight than wavy but she reassured me for the wedding it would be fine because she would pin it to get the wavy look. My hair ended up just being very curly instead of the Hollywood waves. To get my veil to stay she teased the back a ton which made it stay in but once I took the veil out, my hair looked terrible in the back. Overall, It didn’t look bad but it wasn’t really what I was wanting. For my moms hair, she wanted it to simply be curled but they couldn’t even curl her hair. If I had to redo my wedding day I would probably pick someone else or do it myself but it turned out okay.

Jeanne and her girls were absolutely fantastic! I booked them for my wedding completely sight unseen as I live 9+ hours away and would not be able to have do the trial for hair and makeup ahead of time. I left my trust completely in their hands and I was not disappointed. The little area beside her salon was so lovely and gave us privacy for the morning to get ready and bond. Both Christina and Erica did a fabulous job on mine and my bridal parties hair/makeup. They both took their time and made sure that everyone left feeling like a million bucks. Jeanne checked in several times while we were there to see if we needed anything and also gave me an embroidered handkerchief and blue hair jewel to wear. She made us feel like family even in that short amount of time that we were there. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing hair and makeup done!

Jeanne made my wedding process so easy. She assigned two wonderful stylists to assist with mine and other members of the wedding party’s hair and makeup. I am so grateful for how beautiful I felt on my wedding day. Five stars is not enough. They deserve so much more. Tabitha and Cori truly made me feel like a princess and I felt gorgeous the entire day. The hair and makeup also lasted well into the next day.

I was so impressed with the professionalism, attitude, and work of my hairstylist, Riley! She was wonderful, and me, the moms, and my SIL were so pleased with her work. I had Indian bridal jewelry and she researched ways to attach my tikka (forehead jewelry) and pin my dupatta (long scarf/veil, but without a clip) into place like she had been working Indian weddings for ages. Jeanne, the shop owner, was responsive but scattered--everything worked out fine, but there were multiple hiccups in our communication. But she was kind and good-hearted. I didn't end up using their make-up artist: she was very shaky and slow in the trial, and she used heavy black eyeliner (when my only request was to use brown with my fair skin) and an overall look that really aged me. So I went to Sephora and learned how to do makeup myself (it was too late book anyone else, and the options I could find were way more expensive). My overall experience with this vendor was a mixed bag, but I was really so impressed with my hair stylist, that I'd work with Jeanne again, if just for access to Riley.

Jeanne is a sweetheart! I felt so comfortable and relaxed while getting ready. I wanted a half up curled hairstyle & a sparkly smokey eye for my wedding day and that's exactly what I got! This was my first ever experience getting my hair and makeup done professionally, and it totally shows. I felt so pampered and taken care of. The makeup was applied with airbrushing and my lashes and lipstick were included to take home. Jeanne was also kind enough to gift me a champagne bag, a garter, and a small "something blue" hair clip. The salon is adorable surrounded by flowers and plants and if you're lucky -- some hummingbirds. A lovely stress-free experience all around, highly recommend!

Jeanne did an amazing job! I showed her a difficult hairstyle I loved and she went above and beyond. Truly talented and so friendly. My make up was perfect as well! My hair and make up was SO good that it could not have gotten better. I was blown away.

I loved my makeup the day of - Linda was my artist and she was so nice and did a fantastic job. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the other artist was hours late the morning of and barely finished my bridesmaids makeup. Overall, I enjoyed working with Jeanne and Linda!

Would have got 5 stars not for the fact that the day of one of my bridesmaids whom I already paid for her hair was unable to arrive because of something with her kids so we switched in her place one of my flower girls to get sit in her place for her hair. I also had another bridesmaid decide to actually get her makeup done and got the makeup artist to do her makeup. The artist told her it was 95. No email or text to let me know my card would be charged (I understand paying for it but a heads up would u like to use this card or a different one) but I was charged $204 for a quick item. WOW. Where does it say anywhere that it is $204 for makeup. if it is then your employees need to be educated about it and inform customers the proper price as well as when reviewing contracts explaining to clients. I feel like I was swindled. It is shady and bad business. it is very disappointing and infuriating since both the make up artist and hair stylist were amazing and made all of us feel so beautiful. But because of the shakey business ethics I'd recommend you not try incase your wallet pays the price.

Jeanne did a fabulous job with my hair and make-up for my elopement. She was easy to communicate and plan with, and the entire process was very convenient for wedding planning. But more importantly, I loved my hair and make-up! I rarely do much with my hair or make-up, so Jeanne did an amazing job keeping everything natural-looking enough that I felt dressed up and beautiful, and yet still comfortably myself. I highly recommend Jeanne!

Jeanne and her assistants did my and all my bridesmaids hair and makeup for my wedding day. Not only was it stunning, but it lasted from the time we did out “First Look” all the way through our after party. Highly recommend!

I was disappointed with my experience with Jeanne for several reasons. 1) Inefficient communication: Through the wedding planning process, she called numerous times to ask for the same information. I found myself telling her the same plan over and over again. To make matters worse, all of the phone calls while I was at work. When planning a wedding, there are so many moving parts and people, so it can get really frustrating when a vendor constantly asks for repeated information. imagine if all your vendors called every week to ask you for details you told them last week; you'd have no time! I understand wanting to confirm the plan, but it doesn't need to be done weekly. She would also waste a lot of time gossiping about non-wedding topics. I needed efficient, swift communication, but what I received was slow, meandering, and repetitive 2) Inconsistent pricing: I was quoted a price initially. I paid a deposit with the agreement the rest would be paid shortly before the wedding. I was then sent a contact, which was very ambiguous. I called to confirm the price, and she quoted me a different price. I assumed it was for additional services and signed the contact. When I went to pay, she charged me a different amount again. At no point in the process did I feel confident I knew what i was going to have to pay. More transparency and consistency in pricing would have smoothed the process significantly. 3) Lack of flexibility: No one can control the weather, I understand this completely. It was forecasted to snow on my wedding day (which we had known for weeks). Jeanne called me at 4:00 in the morning on my wedding day PANICKING because it was snowing and said I probably wouldn't be able to drive to her studio (we were getting our hair and makeup done at her studio, she didn't need to travel). I explained that I am from a northern state and am fully confident that I could drive there. She argued with me for more than an hour that snow in that mountains was different and there was no way I was making it to my wedding. She also said that her assistant (who I had paid extra for) would not be able to drive into town because of the snow. There are several issues with this: a) as a wedding vendor, you are expected to have some degree of flexibility and problem solving. Yet, she offered little to no help in finding solutions and only was inflammatory and acted as though the whole wedding would have to be canceled, b) The snow was in the forecast, it is not unreasonable for vendors to watch the weather and make plans AHEAD of time (not at 4 in the morning) to help mitigate stress on the big day c) she refused to refund me for the money I had paid for the assistant despite the fact that I was not going to receive the service I paid for. i understand if the assistant truly couldn't make it, but I should not be charged for something i did not receive. In the end, I ended up driving there just fine (the snow wasn't even sticking). The assistant arrived a little late, but made it, which was wonderful. Once we got there, it went pretty smoothly, but Jeanne talked the whole time about how bad the snow was (again, im from a northern state where we get several feet of snow for 8 months a year, it was NOT bad). Her hair and makeup services were fine, but her attitude, flexibility, and professionalism on a very important day did not reflect what they should have for someone with her experience.

Jeanne's Hair and Makeup Studio is only getting a 3 star because of the girls that came and helped during the wedding. Let's start at the beginning. My first hair and makeup trial was a nightmare. it was nothing I asked for and the makeup didn't even look like I had anything on. Which I didn't I didn't even have concealer or a base foundation on. Within 3 hours of leaving my hair and makeup was pretty much out/gone. So I gave Jeanne the benefit of the doubt and asked for a second trial. I knew I was having a hard time expressing what I wanted and I had gone by myself so there was no one there with me to help explain. The second time I went I brought one of my bridesmaids so that she could help me explain what I was looking for and make sure it was being done. The second trial went 10x better and I felt good about not canceling her and finding someone else. Well I was wrong. I had 7 people including myself that needed hair and make up done. Sam was there helping do makeup and Tabitha was there to do hair. Jeanne was more worried about who her girls were doing and that my stepmom sat in Tabitha's chair than what she had to do. She was very nasty to her own employees in front of my and my bridesmaids. All they knew was that they were there to help us all look our best they didn't know who was who. I was glad that we talked and agreed that I would not get done first since my hair is a pain but I ended up being the last one to go. I wanted us all to be done at 12:45 so I could get pictures done before the wedding and do my first look, etc. well my hair took what seemed like forever and when she did my makeup it was nothing that she had done the second run through. I barely even had anything on my face and I know that because when I took it off before having to have it redone by my sister there was barely anything on the wipe. needless to say, my moms had asked her to leave since we had gone over soo much time and my makeup wasn't even done. My sister ended up doing my makeup and it was fabulous. But since she had gone over on time so much I could not get the pictures I wanted of me and my bridesmaids and my family. The wedding started late as well. and I had to squeeze in as many pictures as I could before the sun went down after the ceremony. I was not happy at all I will have the memories but no the pictures to show for it. I only give the 3 stars because of Sam and Tabitha and my hair stayed in all night. And on top of that Jeanne said she only thought it was fair to give me a refund for my makeup and my wedding was the beginning of December and still no refund. I didn't think I would get it back but don't say it if you're not going to do it. Also just make sure if you choose them you have great communication and its exactly what you want. I don't what happened to me to happen to another bride on her very special day!

Just finished my hair and make up trial with Jeanne. She was so helpful, gave great advice to me, and made me look beautiful. I wear zero make up typically, so she found a natural look for me. She also sanitizes everything which is amazing. I have heard of other artists not cleaning between trials or bridesmaids. Highly recommend Jeanne!

This lady is crazy! She doesn’t own a calendar and will ask you when your wedding date is each time you call her or she calls you! Has weird rants and lectures on the phone each conversation about politics and vaccinations. Completely unprofessional and much unneeded stress because she kept assigning me new hair and make up people (which did a great job though :.) She had me call them which is weird and twice they said they were already booked! I was assigned 3 separate teams over a 2 months span each time discussing and sharing pics! I’m not sure what this lady actually does but it’s not booking H&M for your wedding best to go right to a stylist. After the wedding and on our honeymoon she called like 5 times and emailed 10 times for a review I was going to let it go but since she demanded and gave me a “deadline” to review here you go!

My husband and I choose to elope in Maggie Valley and the Knot helped me find Jeanne’s Hair studio. I was not familiar with the area and was a little nervous but she was fantastic! She even came to our cabin which made our wedding day less stressful for me. Our wedding pictures were so gorgeous and she was a pleasure to work with!

Well since I have received continuous requests for a review, here we go! About a month before the wedding I followed up on my trial run to get it scheduled. I was informed that my stylist was on leave and won’t be back for the wedding. Had I not followed up on my trial, I’m not sure how that would’ve panned out. The owner searched for about a week for a stylist and found someone who was third party. The trial went well. I was very happy with the make up but the hair was just ok. My stylist, Jenny, asked that I cut and wash my hair in baking soda leading up to the wedding so she could achieve my natural curl look for the wedding. Note: I have had this simple hair style done in the past with no issues. We had planned to meet at the venue at 10am. Late the night before the wedding she moved the time out to 11am which I stated was ok as as long as the 3 of us could be done by 2pm when the photographer showed up. Unfortunately, since our hair and make up wasn’t completed until 3-3:30 for a 4pm wedding, so our pre-ceremony pictures were rushed. My hair style was super simple. Although it was not a disaster it was very frizzy. Just the day before for the rehearsal dinner, I had my hair styled the exact same way. It stayed through the night and took my normal go to stylist 20-25 minutes. In hindsight, if I could have done anything different that day, I would have not been so hung up on the convenience of having 1 person for hair and make-up and used someone different. The owner was very sweet when I spoke with her. Perhaps if I ended up with a different and more professional stylist, the results would have been different.

I appreciated the attention to detail and helping me create a beautiful look for myself and my mother and mother-in-law. There are several blunders that happened working with Jeanne's Hair and Makeup Studio. First was losing 2 stylists leading up to my wedding date. The first stylist assigned to my small party ghosted me about 2 months before. After explaining to Jeanne that I had not heard from my stylist to do a hair trial, she assigned me a new stylist. The second stylist also ghosted me and 2 weeks before my wedding informed me that she cannot commit to my date due to her own circumstances. I called Jeanne again and she assigned me a 3rd stylist. Fortunately she did not cancel or ghost me. A week before my wedding Jeanne called to collect payment and increased our agreed upon contract pricing. Stating that it would be higher since her price increased in 2021 and I was being given a favor to not be charged the new 2021 pricing, and only a smaller increase. I ended up paying the smaller increased rate. The day of my wedding and constant texts with my stylists, I stressed the importance of timing. Our wedding venue was extremely strict on our start time and when we needed to be off the property for the next wedding. I felt my stylists brushed this off and I was 20 minutes late to my wedding. This caused a ripple effect in rushing my first look with my father, missing photos with the mother of the groom and the groom. Skipping all the pre-wedding photos that were in my shot list with the photographer, rushing the ceremony, and missing photos with our family following the ceremony. It was a tough pill to swallow and added a lot of extra stress on me as the bride. It also caused a lot of stress for my husband since he didnt know what had happened to me. I am glad that my mom, mother in law, and myself enjoyed their hair and makeup experience. I hope there is improvement to ensure the timing, contract commitment, and communication is better in the future.

Jeanne’s hair and makeup studio was amazing! I came into Asheville as a wedding guest on Thursday 11/28 and decided last minute to have my hair and makeup done for the wedding I was attending on 11/30 she was able to have my friend and I taken care of last minute during one of the busiest wedding weekends of the year. Tabitha and Jeanne were very sweet and their work was beautiful. My friend and I received compliments all night on our hair and makeup. Highly recommend for any event in the area.

The entire experience was great! They were all super friendly and responded to all phone calls immediately. Everything was very clean and neat! The work they did was also great! All of us felt and looked beautiful for the big day!

Jeanne was a delight to work with, and her girls are the best ever. I had Tabitha and Rebekah doing my hair and makeup, and they were great! I have SO MANY skin allergies, and they were both accomodating in figuring out what might trigger a reaction. Jeanne was very quick to respond to my questions and routinely checked in before my trial. She helped with recommending what hair extensions to get as well. If you don’t have any accessories for your hair, she has lots of choices and will help pick the perfect one for you! I loved my results but she was open for changes if there was something I didn’t like. I can’t wait for my wedding day after seeing how I looked after my trial!!
