usband feel SOOOO comfortable and captured the entire night PERFECTLY!! Plus all my bridesmaids absolutely loved her, we felt like she was a part of the bridal party. 😊 My friends and I have been a part of a lot of weddings now and they always say how my photographer was the “BEST”. Not only is she an absolute pleasure to work with but her photos came out INCREDIBLE!! There is not a single photo that we do not love. She is extremely talented and you will not regret hiring her!! I promise you. We will be using her for years to come!!

f her work is obvious so I encourage you to look yourself. I will instead comment on the things that can’t be gleaned from her photographs that will make your day incredibly memorable. First, Jen listens, does her homework, and makes sure she delivers exactly what you want. I asked that she try to capture photos of each wedding guest and their date, especially our family members and wedding party. She didn’t just check that box with shots of each table. She pulled almost everyone aside and my guests cannot stop gushing over their pictures. In particular, my SIL never got a photo with her mother at her own 2021 wedding (!). Jen, heard her mention this as we were getting ready and took them both aside for a sunset photo. This was priceless. She also caught what is now my favorite picture of my mother - natural, smiling, gorgeous, and completely candid. And that doesn’t mean that Jen sacrificed time with my husband and I. I gave Jen several photos for inspiration of what shots I wanted to hit. I had low expectations because these were editorial shots and as best I try, I am not naturally photogenic but Jen nailed it. I thought I would get 1 maybe 2 photos that I genuinely liked but there are too many to count. Jen also took the time to research ALL of the locations we would be taking photos at ahead of time and made sure we hit the best spots. Before she arrived, she knew exactly when and where we should take what shots to get the best product. Secondly, Jen delivers direction clearly, calmly, and efficiently. As a result, she not only takes beautiful shots, but you are also able to get what you need without frustration so you can get back to enjoying your day. I wanted to hit A LOT of shots and this tested my groom’s patience a bit. But Jen was never a source of stress or frustration. In fact, I noticed that she picked up on this and adjusted her energy to help us get what my groom now admits we’re stunning shots. Trust me, nothing is more frustrating then a photographer who doesn’t know what needs to be changed so they keep fussing with your pose, position, etc. Jen makes this so natural and easy. It was a delight working with her. Third, Jen and her team go above and beyond. Jen’s assistant helped one of our groomsmen who was struggling to put the buttons on his shirt and helped my bridesmaid adjust the back of her dress. She also fluffed my dress countless times and got me champagne so I could enjoy the cocktail hour I was missing because family was an hour late to photos. This is not their job. They just jumped in to help wherever needed. That was priceless because I never felt stressed and it’s evident in my pictures. Finally, in addition to making us feel so comfortable and supported on our day, the pictures that Jen and her team delivered are stunning. The groom can’t stop going through the album and every single person who we’ve shared shots with has reached out to say just how beautiful they are. And they aren’t just talking about the pictures of us, they love the pictures of themselves. Nothing is more rewarding than to hear family and friends tell us that they will cherish these memories.

The winds on the day of our wedding reached up to 40mph, and not only did Jen manage to make sure everybody looked normal in our photos (I was fearing the worst, hair-wise), she also leaned into the moment and captured some absolutely AMAZING shots that we will treasure forever. We loved getting to know her in advance of our wedding day, and Jen did a fantastic job capturing the feel of the city. We wanted some urban shots since we knew we were having a more countryside-esque wedding in Charlottesville, and she executed our vision perfectly. In short, Jen is incredible. We are so glad that we hired her, and you will be too!

e up the the expectations they set. Well, good news -- I was very wrong! Jen is amazing. Clearly her photography is stunning, but she's also just a wonderful human being who is a joy to be around. She finds a way to make you feel constantly at ease (which I thought would be nearly impossible when I found out on the day of my wedding that my dress was pretttttty see-through in the sunlight... yikes -- but naturally, with Jen's talent, you couldn't tell in photos thank goodness), and she also does such a great job of capturing the best candids of you and all your guests. I can't recommend Jen enough -- you will love your photos, and you will also love every moment you get to spend with her. She is, plain and simple, the best!

t pictures. Jen literally stood in the pouring rain just to make sure we got the perfect shot! Do yourself a favor and hire her, there is no one better to capture your day!

personality. She is also a visionary—seeing the perfect shot with the perfect backdrop comes naturally for her. This is so incredibly important for wedding photographers, because the day goes by in a blink of an eye, and finding a photographer who knows what, how and when to shoot so you don’t have to spend too much time taking photos is paramount to enabling you to spend time celebrating with your loved ones. She also does a fantastic job capturing candid photos of your guest (so you can see all the moments you may not be able to witness yourself live), and all the little details that you’ll want to remember forever. Lastly, everyone is naturally so eager to see “sneak peak” photos immediately after the wedding, and without prompting, Jen shared a wealth of amazing photos within a day or so after the wedding. We also got married in November, and our family wanted to use a photo for a Christmas card, and Jen was incredibly flexible and helpful in getting that photo over to us immediately so we could use it. In short, Jen is everything you could want or dream of re: a wedding photographer – 10/10 would recommend!

and sweet personality, my friends and I have joked that we actually miss her since the wedding ended. Not to mention she is a trooper. We wanted our first look to be at the Lincoln Memorial, but it happened to be the coldest winter since the early 1900s. Despite this, Jen bundled up, put her game face on, and took the most epic pictures - with a smile on her face. She made my day so special, made me feel SO comfortable, and captured the most special moments of my entire life. Thank you Jen, you are amazing.

When you work with her, it doesn't matter the season, or that day's weather she can turn it into a priceless memory - Captured all on film. when Jen Fariello swooped in and made everything better. My husband and I spent a wonderful afternoon with Jen taking our wedding portraits. I am jealous of every bride and groom who got to have her with them for their entire wedding day! She had a beautiful energy about her that makes you instantly comfortable. Though she has photographed thousands of people, she will call out things while taking your pictures that make you feel like her very favorite subject in the world. Being in front of her camera is truly an amazing experience. When the photos came back...well, I couldn't help but stare at them over and over again. I remember thinking "is that how I look?" A relative saw Jen's photos of us on Facebook and commented that they were the best photos anyone has ever taken of us. Talk about a confidence boosting experience! I was so thrilled with Jen's gorgeous images that I went back to her to have my portrait taken for work (I would have loved to use my wedding portraits, but something tells me that wouldn't have gone over too well at the office). By the way, a very interesting testimonial to Jen's amazing work is that you'll see past brides commented on her Facebook page years after their weddings. I saw one woman write that she was stopping in Charlottsville on the way to a vacation home with her family just so they could have their annual family holiday card picture taken by Jen. Her brides become her friends and clients for life. We have already decided that we will be "gifting" Jen's services to our niece and nephews when they get married.
