us to create a menu that spoke to all of our childhood favorites and tastes from home that had all of our guests watering at at the mouth, and some even bonding over what some of the dishes meant to us and our families. As a Miami native and Italian American (respectively), we wanted the food to touch on our love of Latin and Italian food, which Jill touched on perfectly (especially with the meatballs and empanadas!). From day 1, Jill was truly Team Shelby and Jordan, and for that we could not be more grateful.

lanning to the day itself! Chef Jill worked closely with us to put together a menu that was delicious, unique, and fit our budget. Over the course of the year leading up to our wedding, we were in constant communication with Chef Jill and Darren about the menu, rentals, and general timeline coordination. They were super helpful and kind throughout the entire process, and worked directly with the manager of our wedding venue. Ally and Molly from the day of coordination team were instrumental in helping us set up a day of timeline that kept things organized across all vendors. They provided a lot of suggestions based on their experience, while also listening closely to the type of day we wanted to have. Molly handled all of the setup, cleanup, and coordination across 2 separate ceremony and reception locations on the day of the wedding, so that we didn't have to worry about a thing! The reception was decorated exactly how we envisioned it, and the entire day ran smoothly. She was extremely helpful, organized, and positive throughout the entire day. The catering service at the reception was wonderful. Chef Jill's servers were extremely professional and accommodated all 120 of our guests throughout cocktail hour and a buffet style dinner. Our guests raved to us about the servers, who made sure that they reached everyone during cocktail hour and assisted those who had dietary restrictions. Everyone absolutely loved the food. During dinner, guests got up for seconds at the buffet, because the food was that great. Guests have continued to tell us how delicious everything was for months after the wedding. Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but the Jillicious team really made the whole process easy so that we could enjoy the day (and incredible food) with our family and friends. It's extremely clear that Chef Jill and her team take an immense amount of pride in their work down to every detail, and truly care about their clients. Thank you to Chef Jill, Darren, Ally, and Molly for making our day so memorable and special!

From food selection to speciality cocktails to making sure we ordered everything (table cloths, water containers, serving platters, chairs, etc.), Jill and Darren (her right-hand man) went above and beyond in every way. On the big day, her staff was professional and efficient, and the food was incredible. We are so happy we went with Jill, and you will be, too!

so much variety for our guests during cocktail hour and the reception. Also, it was all very delicious. People are still telling us (4 months post wedding) how much they liked the food and that it was the best wedding dinner they've ever had. We knew Chef was going to be great when we had our tasting with her a year prior to our wedding. Her team was also very lovely and easy to work with. They went the extra mile when it came to making sure we felt prepared for the big day. But also on the day, they made sure we were fed, happy and not rushed or stressed in any way. rted searching for wedding caterers that would work with us to customize the perfect menu for our wedding day. Jillicious did not disappoint! We worked with Chef Jill to put together the most delicious menu of both apps and main courses. Everyone we spoke to after the wedding couldn’t stop raving about how good the food was. It honestly rivaled many of our favorite restaurants in NYC. In addition to the food, Chef Jill and her staff were amazing. They were so responsive throughout the whole wedding process and offered so many great recommendations. On the wedding day, the staff were very helpful with getting the rentals in order, setting up the tables, etc. We also had some guests thank us for how allergy conscious the wedding and staff were. We're so grateful to Jillicious for bringing our vision to life and couldn’t recommend them more! They truly contributed to an absolutely perfect wedding day!

ut her clients. I set out to have a wedding with not only great food, but food that everyone - no matter their dietary restriction - could enjoy. Jill blew me away with a perfectly balanced menu that checked all of the boxes. She came to the table with creative ways to tie together various dishes and cuisines, even including drink ideas to round out the experience. Guests raved about the food, insisting it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. To give credit where it is deserved, not only was the food excellent, but the presentation was beautiful. From the cutest tacos to noodles in classic (& classy) take-out containers, each bite of food was a 10/10. On top of all of Jill’s help with the menu, she also offers a day of coordination service that serves as the icing on the cake. Our day of coordinator helped create a logical flowing timeline, offered creative solutions to all questions, and had seemingly infinite tricks up her sleeve for even the littlest snags on the day of the wedding. Jill has built a great team - from herself to her managers and her catering staff - that are all warm and incredibly helpful people. I will be looking out for any opportunity to use & recommend Jillicious Foods & Events for any future event.

elebrate a milestone. It was a wonderful event from the grazing boards and passed hor d'oeuvres through the family style dinner and dessert. Jill prepares excellent food with beautiful displays. The staff is helpful, professional, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and everyone was comfortable. I loved working with her to create a table setting that was unique and special for the occasion. Jill easily adapted the menu (several times) to adjust for dietary issues without hesitation. I can't wait to work with Jillicious on our next event!

r a progressive cocktail hour style party. Basically once food started being served, it never really stopped and it was all cocktail hour style. Jill's team both during the day and leading up to the wedding were great. I honestly couldn't have done the entire DIY wedding without them. They had experience with our venue so I felt really confident that everything was being handled and nothing was being forgotten. They helped with the lists of rentals and selections, alcohol orders, floor plan and basically everything. Chef Jill and my husband and I are planning to get dinner soon after the holidays. We loved her so much. Day of Coordinator - Ally Troutman with Jillicious Foods & Events - 100/10 If you are on the fence about having a DOC, DO IT. Honestly unless you are having a full wedding planner, I think you should sacrifice something else to pay for a DOC. Ally started working with us 30 days out from the wedding and honestly, those last 30 days are insane with everything happening at once. I am an organized project manager by career and I was drowning. She helped me be confident that I was prepared. She even ordered our breakfast and lunch for the day of the wedding. She made sure my grandma always had water and food. It was magical to be able to say to everyone that asked me questions on the day of, 'Ask Ally, she's got it!'

ellar. What I loved so much about working with Chef Jill and Darren was the hands on approach they took to everything. As a bride and groom who were doing a lot of planning ourselves, we had so much comfort knowing that Chef Jill and Darren would cross any t and dot any i that we were missing. The food could not have been a bigger hit. Still, months later when wedding guests come up to my husband and I, they mention the delicious dinner, amazing cocktail hour grazing table, and tasty cocktails. All crafted by Chef Jill herself. Additionally, she was so accommodating with dietary restrictions, as I am gluten and dairy free. In terms of service, Darren ran his team like a well oiled machine and stayed with us for the clean up til the last second. He even came out to dance with me to a Shania Twain song, which I loved and will never forget. Not only were they a pleasure to work with, they are wonderful people who truly wanted the best for us on our big day. It has been a pleasure to get to know them. A small detail that meant so much to us was the effort and care that went into catering to our grandparents the day of the wedding. Being our venue had stairs to get up to the cocktail hour, it wasn’t possible for our grandmas to experience that part of the day. Effortlessly, the Jillicious team prepared for them a version of every single item that went up to the cocktail hour. They felt like absolute queens being catered to, and it meant the world to us. We have nothing but amazing things to say about Chef Jill and her team. Our wedding would not have been the same without them. We highly recommend them for all of your weddings and events.

We felt so looked after by Jill and her team from the beginning of the process all the way through our wedding and cannot imagine our big day without them. Huge thank you to the entire team! our wedding in Sept 2023, and I still cannot get over how GOOD our food was. We did family style and all of our guests were able to try all the dishes prepared, instead of needing to choose. We got so many compliments throughout the night for the food choices, if anything our guests wanted more--we were told our grazing table went way too quickly which may be my only note to the team :) Not only is the food quality amazing, but the quality of the team members amazing. Our family and friends instantly connected with a lot of the waiters, the coordinator, and the chef. The chef, Jill, is such an amazing woman, with a long career of being an amazing influential chef on her back. We were lucky to have met someone like her! She is truly kind, compassionate, and highly skilled. They're all real people, with amazing personalities, that work together like a family to get things done, and i wouldnt have asked for a better experience. That being said--and this is not a gripe but a comment for you fellow NY brides, Jillicious and team are full red-blooded new yorkers! If you have a vision that seems off the beaten path, you should be prepared to defend it, haha! They will have opinions--as would any strongly-opinionated new yorkers would! My only regret was i was convinced out of not doing a late night snack by the Jillicious team, which i regretted at the end of the night as half my friends left the wedding to get a slice or bite to eat haha. But that strong NY-will in the team also fires you up and gives you major confidence that they know what theyre doing and they're going to do it well, which they did with flying colors. I would absolutely hire Jillicious again, i just need another event!! :)

ing that first meeting we connected so quickly with Jill- she was warm, professional, knowledgable, and experienced. We were left feeling confident that she would be able to provide exactly what we were looking for. And did she ever. She created such a bespoke, elevated, sophisticated, fun menu! Hello Pastrami Egg Rolls! And the guests are still talking about the BBQ short ribs! She really took to heart everything that we told her about us. Not just our food likes and dislikes but also how we met, our interests, our travel. She invests a lot of time and passion into planning a menu. Months before the wedding, we went to her professional kitchen in Brooklyn for a tasting and that experienced just confirmed what we already knew- she's a superstar. Communication with Jill and her fabulous catering manager, Darren was a breeze. They took care of everything food and drink wise- from rental orders to our speciality drinks, to the entire service team, the liquor order, to delicious deserts. Her team is professional, caring, and friendly. The menu was a hit with our guests- we received so many compliments regarding the food. The presentation was beautiful. Jill and her team handle special dietary requests with ease. My mom is an especially picky eater and when I conveyed that to Jill, she made a point on the wedding day to have a one on one conversation with my mom to make sure she got a meal that she would like. That level of attention and kindness was such special thing to have on our wedding day. If you are looking for a chef that is as passionate about people as she is about food- then you need to look no further than Jillicious!

edding an absolute dream. Jill is the most accommodating and creative vendor we worked with, always willing to create anything under the sun we wanted. And not only create it, but be excited to do it!! Her flawless execution, attention to detail and genuine immense care for her couples is actually amazing. Also, her day-of-coordination team is just as impressive. Ally was such a joy to work with, always keeping us on track and making sure everything was done on time and to our specifications, all while having such a calming and reassuring presence. Anyway, there is no other way to put it, just hire them, it will be the best choice of your wedding!

t caterers had a pre-set menu, so it was great that we were able to work with her on planning our menu. We were able to incorporate food from our cultures and food we just love in general. Chef Jill is very experienced with catering for weddings and provided much needed advice to us during the whole process. She provided recommendations for other vendors that we needed as well and went above and beyond. Her, Darren and the rest of their team made my husband and I feel taken care of during the process. Our guests raved about the food. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. We had leftovers afterwards that we were able to enjoy the day after our wedding. We highly recommend Jillicious Food & Events to anyone.

d experience. Jill came HIGHLY recommended from our wedding coordinator - it was important for us to hire vendors that had good working relationships with each other! Jill was extremely attentive, creative, and KIND! It felt like we were talking to a beloved family member right off the bat. We planned our NYC wedding while living in California, but Jill was so accommodating and supportive, the distance and time difference never was too stressful. I am gluten free and have multiple food allergies, so as we were creating our customized menu with Jill, she made sure that everything was safe for me, and still mouthwateringly delicious. She even have things set aside for me during cocktail hour - her staff was AMAZING and so kind, they kept finding me wherever I was to bring me my own gluten free bites! We decided to do family style and that was the best idea ever. Our custom menu day of was even better than the tasting!! All of our friends and family still say it was the best they have ever eaten at a wedding before. With a family full of foodies, this was a huge compliment! We truly could rave about Jill and her staff for hours. She was such an essential and important part of why our wedding was better than we ever could have imagined. She took care of us like her own family. The set up was gorgeous, service was AMAZING, and everything went off without a hitch. She spent so much time getting to know us, that the food throughout the evening really showcased us as a couple, and paid homage to our families. Also, she created the dishes using things that were in season, so it was like the best homemade meal you have ever had. Jill really gave us the freedom to dream big, and held our hands the whole way. ef Jill is extremely kind and a sensational chef. So many caterers offered choices from a pre-set list. Not Jill! She designed the menu for us and within our budget! (All my husband wanted was a taco appetizer, and she made it happen!). After our tasting, we couldn't stop talking about how excited we were for our guests to experience the menu. The food did not disappoint -- our wedding guests (and us) continue to rave about the food!  Chef Jill is experienced in all things "wedding planning." Wedding planning is stressful, but she eased our worries. She offered advice and recommendations and always checked in about how we were coping. el like fast friends.  They guided me through such a new process as I prepared for my own version of a dream wedding.  They were respectful of my husbands' culture and our wishes - and went out of their way to make our event exactly as we envisioned.  Jill dedicated hours to learn how to cook Nigerian food and consulted with my mother-in-law to perfect the Nigerian dishes and bring authentic flavor to the event. Ally cheered me on every step of the way - even up to the day before the wedding when I finally found shoes for my party.  Their team of chefs, bartenders and wait service were all attentive, and worked with perfection. a wedding. Jill and Sadia, our amazing day-of coordinator arranged through Jillicious, were hands down one of the single most important reasons our wedding was such a success. We worked with Jill throughout the process to tailor our menu with food and drinks from both my wife's and my cultural backgrounds and it was such a fun collaboration. We got a ton of compliments on our food, from appetizers to grazing table to dinner. Jill was SO much more than just a caterer. She helped with every angle of our wedding, from walking us through our rentals to our liquor order to going on a walk-through at our venue, and worked with all of our vendors hand in hand to streamline the process. She also nudged us when we were falling behind in planning, something we both needed since we went without an official wedding planner and didn't know what we were doing. We can say without a doubt our wedding would not have been the event it was without Jillicious!

We had Jill + team cater our 'Welcome Drinks" for our wedding (July 8, 2022) and they truly went above and beyond. We were meant to host our event on our rooftop but it started to rain and the team easily and amazingly pivoted to another location and instantly made magic happen in a new location. The team created a true work of art with the grazing table and our guests were in awe of the spread and loved the food. I cannot say enough great things about Jill and would very enthusiastically hire her again!

sold! Jill put together a wonderful progressive cocktail menu, was flexible to our guest’s needs, and the food was delicious. The menu was a super fun mix of all different types of food with a real New York and celebratory vibe (Asian noodles served in mini Chinese take out containers, gorgeous pink gazpacho shooters, coffee in classic NYC cups, chicken and waffles!). During planning, Jill collaborated wonderfully with our wedding planner and was very active in making our (very bright!) design vision come true. At the wedding, our guests commented that they loved the food and the progressive cocktail style meant we had a rocking party all night long. Jill also skillfully managed our bar, collaborated with Roebling Liquor for purchasing, and helped us design signature cocktails-which were a big hit! We would highly recommend JIllicious and would use them again for any future events big or small! Thank you Jill and the whole team!!

each of our cultures; and while most caterers tried to steer us to food they'd made in the past, Jill was so clearly enthusiastic to try a new cuisine and adapt it for us. Her energy is infectious; she clearly loves what she does. Most importantly, the food was to die for. Every dish was unique and thought out - Jill did a great job crafting the food to the things we love, that represent who we are. Importantly for us, everyone was so thorough to make sure that all our guests with dietary restrictions were accommodated. The food set the tone of the evening; warm, welcoming, and inclusive. We will remember this meal forever. We had a vegan grazing table, passed hors d'oeuvres, and a seated family style meal. Every part of it was personalized, and Jill was happy to let us be as involved or hands off as we wanted. Her bartender, Sam, did some truly wonderful signature cocktails for us (and even put up with the horrible pun names we assigned them), and being able to buy our own alcohol saved us literally thousands, to say nothing of being able to pick things we liked and had meaning to us. The staff were all stellar. They were courteous, kind, and attentive. And extra love for Ally, the day of coordinator, whose calm and thorough demeanor definitely set the tone for the event and kept it running smoothly. Hiring Jillicious Foods was decidedly the best decision we made in the wedding process. Jill is truly someone who wanted to help us celebrate our wedding, and her help and advice in every part of the process was invaluable to us. We couldn't have done it without her and are so very grateful.

ing capacities in addition to catering - best decision we made. Jill knows the ins and outs of wedding planning, and had tips, vendor recommendations, and questions for us at every step of planning. We felt so supported in what otherwise could have been a very overwhelming process. My partner and I have very different dietary preferences, and Jill worked with us to create a menu that accommodated both of our favorite foods and perfectly represented us as a couple. I'm vegan, so our buffet menu featured about 50% delicious vegan options - the kind where no guest would miss the meat at all. She also created a gorgeous grazing table during cocktail hour. Jill provided a day-of coordinator for the wedding, Ally, who was also incredible to work with. She was organized, thoughtful, and ensured the day ran smoothly and perfectly to plan. Every member of Jill's team exhibited a high degree of professionalism and warmth. I am forever grateful to her for helping to create the most incredible day of mine and my new husband's life, and couldn't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking to hire her.

utely amazing. My family is Pakistani, and my husbands is Italian. To say Jill nailed the fusion of two very different foods/cultures would be an understatement - she hit it out of the park! Not to mention the personal touches of going shopping with us at halal specialty stores in Brooklyn, accommodating allergies, and catering to cultural sensitivities around serving alcohol. Further, the staff was professional and really did an excellent job implementing our vision in terms of decor, table settings, and overall vibe of the event. Our day of coordinator really was a lifesaver as well (shoutout to Ali!). Planning a wedding could be a stressful experience, especially during a pandemic, but Jill made us feel special and at ease the entire time. We knew from the moment we did our tasting with Jill in the comfort of her own backyard (socially distanced because of COVID) that she was the perfect fit and could not be happier with our experience. Highly recommend the entire team at Jillicious - there’s no better choice in the boroughs for a personalized catering experience !

and our food tastes to bring out food choices that we as well as our family and friends would like. She was also so helpful with making decisions around rentals and other logistic parts of the party. Due to COVID we had to reschedule the event several times and she was there supporting us the whole way making sure that when the event did happen it was still everything we had hoped for! Our friends and family are still talking about the food and we even got to eat leftovers after our minimoon which were still so delicious!

it was my turn I knew there was no one else I’d trust. I was impressed with their ability to tailor the menu and style of service exactly to mine and my husband’s tastes. They worked with us to create a menu which was unique-nothing cookie cutter here! The wait staff was outstanding, friendly, pleasant and efficient. Our wedding was under a tent, we had beautiful weather, until it decided to pour. We were all seated for dinner, when the rain started, the staff seamlessly switched to using umbrellas and walking from the house to the tent keeping the food dry and on time. Jill also helped with my decor. She was able to take my vision and execute it better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Jillicious Foods for large or small affairs. Their attention to detail, high quality food, beautiful presentation and top notch staff will not disappoint!

son event for most of our guests since the beginning of the pandemic, and Jill helped us think through many scenarios in planning the event. This came in handy when we had to move the entire event indoors due to bad weather (rather than our initial plan of an inside/outside event). Jill was unflappable and reassuring at every step of the way. Since this was the first big event we had ever planned, she helped us think through lots of things we wouldn't have thought about on our own. Jill helped us plan an amazing and delicious brunch buffet menu with passed hors d'oeuvres to start. Jill incorporated all the vegetables that were in season. Favorites were the kimchi potato latkes with smoked salmon and scallion relish and the Southern buttermilk fried chicken and waffle with Hudson Valley maple butter. Buffet highlights were the roasted salmon with crispy fennel, preserved lemon & caper salad and the orzo salad with spring zucchini, sugar snap peas, arugula pesto, shaved parmesan and preserved egg yoke. She made a table of kids' food that our guests from age 8 to 78 enjoyed. And the kids' highlight was the smores station with house made marshmallows in different flavors. Jill made sure there was plenty of food for all our guests (a big priority for us!) plus she graciously catered to our guests with dietary restrictions. For those who are gluten-free, she made a separate tray of all of our hors d'oeuvres. And, without us even requesting it, she prepared a separate plate for our vegan guest and delivered it to her. All of these touches made us feel great and well cared for. Finally, she stayed within our budget, advising us along the way of places where we could save money if we needed to. For all these reasons, I highly recommend Jillicious Foods and Events. We have already signed them up for our second daughter's bat mitzvah in a little over a year!

ding our vision. We were throwing a 30th birthday for 25 people, which doesn't seem like a big undertaking, but doing that in just 2 months time with COVID-uncertainty still looming is a lot of work! Jill was up for the task. She led us through getting our rentals secured, at no additional cost, and was patient with all our back and forth over our menu. She made sure we had all the rentals we needed and contributed a great number of her own platters to help cut down on costs. Most importantly, the party was spectacular. It was a very very hot summer day with a chance of rain all throughout the day and Jill handled it perfectly and flexibly. Her and her team were all professional, friendly and on-time. The table they set up looked gorgeous, the grazing table was insane, and the lobster summer rolls ... oh my!! I dream of those. The dinner was fabulous too - all our guests raved about the food and how great Jill and her staff was and the icing on the cake was her after dinner s'mores set up.
