What a wonderful experience we had with Jodi Raphael and her team. Not only did they create the kind of wedding my daughter wanted, but they also handled all of the last-minute details. They even had a lint roller for my gown's hemline. Jodi is an exceptional wedding planner who the day so very special.

Jodi, Sue and Kaitlin planned a fabulous bat mitzvah party for us and exceeded everyone’s expectations (not easy with a 13 yr old!). They were flexible as plans changed and supported whatever decisions we made. The event itself was spectacular…the decor, the vendors, the flow of the party, and everyone raved about it. Jodi et al. are the best; in fact, they’re planning another wedding for our family later this year…best praise I can give is to re-hire them!

We could not have been happier with how our wedding day turned out thanks to Jodi and her team! The florals/decor/styling exceeded our wildest expectations, the music was sensational, and all of the vendors she connected us with were incredibly talented (not to mention a dream to work with). Jodi and her team were at our disposal thoughout the 11 months of wedding planning for our daughter’s wedding. Her communication was always prompt via email, text, phone call or Zoom. Each member of her team was a dream to work with. Having developed professional relationships with vendors over her many years of event planning, she was always ready to recommend vendors for us. My daughter and I then researched them to see if they seemed to be the right fit before deciding which ones to use or to ask her opinion on others. All vendors she recommended were top notch! She seamlessly coordinated all the vendors and rental decor from ordering to day of setup. When, during the last few weeks before the wedding we experienced some major venue hiccups, Jodi stepped in on our behalf and ensured we would receive the event we expected. Her experience and willingness to do this was invaluable. She had great suggestions on decor and her eye on the big picture ensured a spectacular, cohesive wedding. Guests marveled at the attention to detail and the overall beauty of the event spaces. JRE really helped bring our vision to life!

We had the best experience working with Jodi Raphael Events (JRE) for our wedding rehearsal, rehearsal dinner/welcome drinks, and wedding day. In our first few meetings, Jodi and her team spent time to really understand our vision for the weekend and then immediately went to work to start putting all the pieces in place. We had a superb experience using Jodi and her team for our daughter’s wedding last week at the Connors Center in Dover. The guidance, expertise, know how, attention to detail, and most importantly style sense elevated the wedding to beyond what we could have imagined. While we thought we needed a day of planner, we in fact hired JRE for more planning than that, and are so happy we did. From guiding us in the early planning stages, to helping with every vendor, to the design and execution of a perfect wedding, we are so grateful to Jodi, Sue, Bianca, Jason, and so pleased with our decision to hire them. We could not have pulled off an event with this level of finesse, timing, decor without their brilliant skills. Working with every vendor was made better through Jodi’s connections, contacts, knowledge. For instance, working with the band, was enhanced by Jodi’s oversight. We don’t know of course what it would have been like without her, but having Jodi coordinating with them resulted in a superb musical experience, a packed dance floor, a beaming bride and groom. We were all hoping for an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful gardens, but when the weather forecast really looked bad, Jodi called us to ask if we wanted a tent…on 2 days notice.. and arranged it! We won’t say it wasn’t disappointing that the weather was less than ideal, however the ceremony was set up so imaginatively and beautifully in the tent, that thought faded. The team helped us plan the most perfect Bar Mitzvah! Every detail was covered and they took the stress out. A pleasure to work with and would highly recommend them.

I hired Jodi Raphael Events to help me plan a 60th birthday party. They were excellent. Jodi had so many creative ideas that brought the party to life. We had a wonderful venue decorated with gorgeous exotic flowers and lovely colorful art. Her band recommendation was a huge hit. The party really reflected my interests and memories. My friends and family compliment me on the party to this day. I recommend Jodi Raphael Events wholeheartedly! I will definitely use them again for the next big event (a wedding, an anniversary...)

We worked with Jodi for our son's rehearsal dinner and welcoming reception on the Friday evening before his Saturday wedding at the Boston Public Library. We live in NYC and therefore relied heavily on Jodi. Because the wedding was to be a large, formal affair, our son and his fiancé requested that the Friday evening events be more casual. Jodi recommended a Mexican restaurant that turned out to be perfect. We had a rehearsal dinner upstairs and moved to a festive large room downstairs to welcome all comers. Jodi coordinated with the restaurant and worked with us on the menu, budget, flowers, etc. Importantly, she was on site at the events which allowed us to relax and visit with the guests. While the Friday evening festivities were modest in scope compared to the large wedding and reception the next day, which Jodi planned with the bride's family, Jodi attended to the details of our event and things came off beautifully.

Our only regret is not working with them sooner in the process! Working with Nicolette was great and made it easy for us to concentrate on the ceremony without having to worry about coordinating vendors or last minute changes.

We absolutely LOVED working with Jodi and her team! Every detail from start to finish was perfect! They had amazing and creative ideas, they were always available to talk and were extremely accommodating to every one of our many, many needs! If the scale would allow more than 5 stars, I would award Jodi Raphael Events that well-deserved award! As mother of the bride, I so appreciated JRE’s consummate professionalism, expertise, organizational skills and truly open communication with all involved. They completely understood our individualized vision and complimented this with their talents and skills. We were always informed of options and costs and know that wedding event management is a necessity. We began working with JRE when COVID made our previous wedding venue impossible; Jodi and Nicolette supportively helped us navigate all options at such an uncertain and anxiety provoking time. There is not enough room to write a review of all they did. But the end product was our daughter's dream wedding; and it took place less than 4 weeks after Boston's COVID restrictions lifted! JRE did not just plan a wedding. They constantly made contingency plans and revised and "re-evented". Their endless efforts allowed a day that was all that we wanted--and so much more! Compliments still continue about the beautiful setting, the band and the delicious food; but also mentioned is the attention to detail in making this fun, safe and comfortable for ALL guests! That came from JRE's visions. Guests raved about the beautifully arranged and inviting cocktail area overlooking the Charles River, dancing outside under the Pavilion, the amazing food served by Museum of Science's Maxx Catering and JRE's ideas for desserts and late-night bites. All was perfectly orchestrated because of JRE's precision planning, continual presence and support. My husband thanked Jodi and Nicolette during his father of the bride toast, saying they came to our rescue and worked magic. My daughter (an event manager herself) could not have been happier. She said we could not have had our amazing and perfect day without their hard work behind the scenes-- and without them at our sides on our most special day!

I had a really positive experience with JRE. Jodi and Nicolette were extremely helpful and flexible as we had to navigate a last minute venue change as well as the state’s COVID requirements. Hiring JRE was the best decision, because it allowed me to focus on the day and have others handing the details of my DIY wedding. My wedding likely wasn’t quite at the caliber of most of the events that JRE supports- it was meant to be a backyard wedding that felt more like a party than a wedding. Despite this, the team was professional and helpful and made an effort to understand the things that I felt were most important. They made sure that all of the details I hadn’t considered were taken into account. Nicolette was absolutely incredible- I had people come up to me at the end of the evening to tell me how wonderful and helpful she was. The fact that my family members were mentioning her by name truly shows how much of an impact she made. Hiring a wedding planner is a big investment for sure. If you’re doing a DIY / private wedding, this is a service and team you absolutely need.

Our family needed a wedding planner. The bride was in the wedding location city, while mom and dad were in a different state. We found Jodi Rafael Events on-line, and once we met Jodi and her assistant, Nicolette, we knew we were working with experienced event planners, who would make our wedding beautiful, and as stress free as possible. Jodi started working with us a year before the wedding, taking us to see venues, and suggesting bands, caterers, florists, photographers and videographers that we should look into. The decision was made to proceed with the wedding even as it became clear that because of Covid, it was not going to happen the way it was originally planned. Jodi and Nicolette worked to make sure it was perfect, reworking contracts, connecting with the new venue, and arranging for guests to attend by video to name just a few of the endless details that they took care of. Most importantly they kept all of us on a schedule in the months leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of the event. Jodi and Nicolette were always positive, easy to work with and always available to speak with us or answer emails. We will be using them next year for the anniversary party, a post-pandemic celebration with music, dancing and merriment!

Planning a wedding during a pandemic is definitely a roller coaster. We had a planned our wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel- after working with them and moving the wedding party outside and considerably decreasing the number of guests to less than 40 ( following all of Boston’s guidelines and orders) they cancelled on us within 2 weeks of our date. We left all of the planning with the BHH as expected therefore with the cancellation, we were left with nothing as far as planning At that point we hired Jodi. I cannot say enough how grateful we are to her and her team. Her professionalism, connections and competence allowed us to have a wonderful wedding. She thought of every single detail. I highly recommend her!

We had such a wonderful experience working with Jodi and her team!! My husband and I had a very clear vision for our big day and Jodi was a huge part of making that vision come to life in a more beautiful and special way than we ever could have imagined. We had booked some of our big vendors already by the time we hired Jodi, but she still worked beautifully with them (even if they had never worked together before) and the entire group was truly a flawless dream team together. Jodi’s expertise, advice, and knack for design made our wedding everything we dreamed it would be and more. Both the ceremony room and the reception room looked truly exceptional - colorful, unique, beautiful, tasteful, romantic - and everything in between. It felt like walking into a fairytale. Throughout the entire process, Jodi and her team were constantly responsive, wonderful listeners, and very organized. On the day of the wedding, I did not worry about ONE THING. The JRE team did everything and I had not a care in the world - I was truly able to enjoy every second of my big day. I knew that Jodi and her team were taking care of everything, and I was right. One of her girls was even there at the very end of the night to help me take my heels off and put my white sparkle sneakers on so I could head to the after party! Not one single detail of the day was overlooked. If we could do it all over again (which we dream about daily!), we would not skip a beat in hiring Jodi. People are still reminiscing on how special our wedding was - one year later - and so much of that is thanks to the JRE team!!

I can't say enough about Jodi Raphael! My daughter and my son-in-law had a vision for their wedding, and when it was all said and done, Jodi made their dream wedding come true. We worked as a team and Jodi was a great listener. She totally got my daughter's sensibilities and her love of color, and everything was spectacular. We had already chosen a few of our vendors before we connected with Jodi, and she worked well with them, as well as her favorite vendors, to coordinate everything. The flowers, cloths, and everything in between were beautiful, tasteful and not over the top, as per our wishes- Jodi totally struck the right balance for us. And on the wedding day, Jodi and her team made sure that we didn't have to worry about a thing. As hosts, you just want to enjoy every second and set the tone for your guests to have the best time ever, which they did. People are still talking about how great everything was, and the whole night was a total reflection of the bride and groom and their love. Aya and Jodi were excellent to work with. They made sure the wedding matched our personalities and was exactly what we wanted. Our wedding that is one that all our friends talk about and say was one of the best ever. They will talk about it for years to come. All this was done in an accelerated timeframe (~10 weeks start to ceremony) We had a band, a game show, a magician, two cakes, lighting, flowers, delicious food. Just perfect.

Perfect...that is how I would describe my daughter's wedding. Jodi and her team were truly on their game and executed our plan masterfully. The bride and groom could not have been happier and the accolades from our family and friends were overwhelming. Everybody had a great time!

I cannot say enough good things about working with Jodi and her team to plan our wedding. My fiancé and I wanted to get married in Boston but were still living in New York City at the time. Also, I was the first in my family to get married so my parents, my fiancé and I were really at a loss for where to start. The first call we made was to Jodi and it was the best decision we could have made. Over the course of several meetings and phone calls, Jodi created a vision for our wedding that was better than anything I could have imagined. Her attention to detail to create a beautiful and cohesive scene is incredible. Jodi works with the best vendors and has relationships all over the Boston area so she was able to help us pick out the best of the best, while minding our budget. There were so many things that I would have never thought of without Jodi’s help. She was also great at managing all of the differing opinions of my family and fiancé’s family. The weekend of the wedding I was surprisingly relaxed because of all the preparation Jodi and her team did leading up to it. I didn’t have to worry about people being on time or when inevitably the groomsmen forgot accessories for their tuxes. When Jodi showed us the ceremony space that we had been planning and envisioning for months, I was in tears. I couldn’t believe that Jodi was able to make my vision come to life and make it look even better than I could have imagined. My wife and I loved working with Jodi. We wanted a magical wedding for our daughter and new son-in-law and Jodi and her staff went beyond our highest expectations. We could not be happier with our daughters wedding. Having everyone from out of town, including the bride and groom, made it quite a challenge. She listened to what was important to us all and translated that into creating the perfect celebration. On the day of the wedding she managed lots of moving pieces with her calm presence. Our family and friends commented on how relaxed and in the moment we the parents and the bride and groom were during the ceremony and reception and this was because Jodi had thought of and planned for everything ahead of time. Jodi Raphael Events was the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I got married in October and Jodi and her team (especially Tahleen,) went above and beyond for us!! As anyone planning a wedding knows, it can get a bit stressful trying to narrow down options and think of every little detail, well Jodi literally helps with all of that, every step of the way. My mom dealt with the majority of the day-to-day planning with Jodi and she COULD NOT say enough times how much of a help and relief it was to have Jodi by her side. Even when I wasn't necessarily on the same page with Jodi's vision, or suggestions, she gave me her opinion and let me make the final decision and was completely fine with whatever I ultimately decided. I never felt forced into anything I didn’t want, and 9 times out of 10, when I would hear her reasoning behind her input, I ended up getting on board and she was sooo right about it all. My wedding was an ABSOLUTE Fairy Tale and now, 3 months later, I STILL have, not only people that were at the wedding, coming up to me and ranting and raving about it, but on several occasions, I have met new people that have actually said, "Oh My God! I've heard of your wedding and heard it was SPECTACULAR!!" That is all thanks to Jodi. I am an extreme perfectionist and tend to get massive anxiety when I don't have control over situations or things don't go according to plan, so thinking about my wedding day, a lot of people were very nervous about my possible hysterics that could ensue. Well, both my wedding dress straps broke under my bolero, BEFORE I went into the church, and I ended up having to miss the majority of my cocktail hour because major repairs had to be made to my dress. Once again, Jodi and her team stepped up and helped save the day! Tahleen went running around getting supplies for the dress maker to work, and Jodi's other assistant, Jason, and Jodi worked feverishly to bustle my skirt to save me as much time as possible. It ended up being a hilarious story that I laughed through the entire time because I knew Jodi and her team had everything under control and it would all work out. I was surprisingly, completely at ease. Even when one of our guests brought their crying 2-year-old, to a black-tie, no children wedding, it was completely handled professionally and courteously. It was unbelievable how perfect everything turned out! But I would have to say probably the most impressive accomplishment Jodi and her team made was keeping this CRONICALLY late bride on schedule and keeping her Husband’s UNCONTROLABLEY rowdy groomsmen, under control! I cannot say enough about how amazing everything was. I guess if I have to give one negative to Jodi's fantastic work, it would be that for about a week after my wedding I was in a state of depression because the whole magical experience was over. :) I could honestly go on and on. But bottom line, if you have the opportunity to work with Jodi for anything, DO NOT MISS OUT!!! I know I will be working with her again in the future!!

Jodi planned my daughter's bat mitzvah party. She and her team turned my daughter's very elaborate and specific dreams for the event into reality, but on our budget and in a way that made everyone (parents included) very happy! She and her team are incredibly responsive and professional They took care of all details at the event itself, leaving us free to enjoy and celebrate. Jodi was beyond outstanding. Out of area father of the bride, goal was to stay informed and monitor events while hopeful we would stick close to a realistic budget. Jodi gave my wife and daughter a range of options that fit their vision and preferences, helped facilitate decision-making, kept everyone on a very well-paced schedule so we never felt rushed and never any surprises. Jodi is simply a positive force of energy, she pays attention to details, works hard, takes great pride in her work and surrounds herself with vendors who are the same. (Sorry I cannot immediately recall all the great people who deserve shout-outs but they were exceptional). When the button on my tux jacket fell off as the procession started, she produced a sewing kit and had the button reattached just minutes before we walked my wonderful daughter down the aisle. Jodi's greatest accomplishment - she made the wedding ours. It reflected the styles of my daughter and wife. She was also cognizant of the groom's interest on particular parts of the wedding planning. She doesn't take a cookie-cutter approach, but has definite recommendations and suggestions that are always helpful and welcomed. She is equally flexible. The incredible outcome of the wedding was the wonderful and creative vision of my wife and daughter - it was Jodi that understood that vision, and translated tastes and expectations to vendors, and created a warm, wonderful atmosphere that was the perfect complement to the incredibly in-love bride and groom. My daughter was recently married in Boston and I live in Maryland. Having someone in Boston was a must. Jodi is reliable, kind, organized and forthright. Her staff (Tahleen specifically) has the same qualities. She is even there if you just need to vent. She is calm in crisis situations. I recommend you use the vendors she recommends...they were spectacular and top notch. One thing I liked best was she has a set fee....no added extras. Jodi and Tahleen planned and executed an absolutely gorgeous wedding for my husband and I, in only 6 months, at the beautiful Boston Harbor Hotel. Everyone raved about the stunning floral arrangements, as well as the excellent live music and DJ which were vendor recommendations of Jodi's. Hiring a full service wedding planner was a learning experience for myself and my family, it involved letting go of a lot and putting trust into her and her team, which was a challenge for me to relinquish that control. All in all, it was worth it in the end as the wedding was truly magical and more beautiful that I could have imagined.

I love Jodi! She really listened to what we wanted and was able to translate that into a great party. This was a second wedding and some of the things that were important to us were a little different than a typical first wedding. We wanted to be with our guests when they arrived and not have a sit-down ceremony but instead make it part of the party. We wanted great music and dancing but also a quieter space where our guests could sit and talk. We wanted great food throughout the night rather than a formal sit down meal. We had a great party that our friends still talk about.
