From booking rooms to coordinating catering, she navigated every detail flawlessly. Her precision with timelines ensured that everything ran smoothly — no surprises, no stress. When 6:30 p.m. arrived, we were rehearsed, prepared, and ready to go. We chose not to see the ceremony room or the ballroom until “showtime,” wanting to experience it for the first time alongside our guests. Our expectations were sky-high, and yet we were blown away. As we walked our daughter down the aisle, the room was pure magic. That feeling only grew when we entered the ballroom — my wife and I actually paused in awe just to take it all in. While we thought we needed a day of planner, we in fact hired JRE for more planning than that, and are so happy we did. We won’t say it wasn’t disappointing that the weather was less than ideal, however the ceremony was set up so imaginatively and beautifully in the tent, that thought faded. Jodi recommended a Mexican restaurant that turned out to be perfect. We had a rehearsal dinner upstairs and moved to a festive large room downstairs to welcome all comers. Jodi coordinated with the restaurant and worked with us on the menu, budget, flowers, etc. Importantly, she was on site at the events which allowed us to relax and visit with the guests. While the Friday evening festivities were modest in scope compared to the large wedding and reception the next day, which Jodi planned with the bride's family, Jodi attended to the details of our event and things came off beautifully.

JRE did not just plan a wedding. They constantly made contingency plans and revised and "re-evented". Their endless efforts allowed a day that was all that we wanted--and so much more! Compliments still continue about the beautiful setting, the band and the delicious food; but also mentioned is the attention to detail in making this fun, safe and comfortable for ALL guests! That came from JRE's visions. Guests raved about the beautifully arranged and inviting cocktail area overlooking the Charles River, dancing outside under the Pavilion, the amazing food served by Museum of Science's Maxx Catering and JRE's ideas for desserts and late-night bites. All was perfectly orchestrated because of JRE's precision planning, continual presence and support. My husband thanked Jodi and Nicolette during his father of the bride toast, saying they came to our rescue and worked magic. My daughter (an event manager herself) could not have been happier. She said we could not have had our amazing and perfect day without their hard work behind the scenes-- and without them at our sides on our most special day!

quirements. Hiring JRE was the best decision, because it allowed me to focus on the day and have others handing the details of my DIY wedding. My wedding likely wasn’t quite at the caliber of most of the events that JRE supports- it was meant to be a backyard wedding that felt more like a party than a wedding. Despite this, the team was professional and helpful and made an effort to understand the things that I felt were most important. They made sure that all of the details I hadn’t considered were taken into account. Nicolette was absolutely incredible- I had people come up to me at the end of the evening to tell me how wonderful and helpful she was. The fact that my family members were mentioning her by name truly shows how much of an impact she made. Hiring a wedding planner is a big investment for sure. If you’re doing a DIY / private wedding, this is a service and team you absolutely need.

odi and her assistant, Nicolette, we knew we were working with experienced event planners, who would make our wedding beautiful, and as stress free as possible. Jodi started working with us a year before the wedding, taking us to see venues, and suggesting bands, caterers, florists, photographers and videographers that we should look into. The decision was made to proceed with the wedding even as it became clear that because of Covid, it was not going to happen the way it was originally planned. Jodi and Nicolette worked to make sure it was perfect, reworking contracts, connecting with the new venue, and arranging for guests to attend by video to name just a few of the endless details that they took care of. Most importantly they kept all of us on a schedule in the months leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of the event. Jodi and Nicolette were always positive, easy to work with and always available to speak with us or answer emails. We will be using them next year for the anniversary party, a post-pandemic celebration with music, dancing and merriment!

We left all of the planning with the BHH as expected therefore with the cancellation, we were left with nothing as far as planning At that point we hired Jodi. Not one single detail of the day was overlooked. If we could do it all over again (which we dream about daily!), we would not skip a beat in hiring Jodi. People are still reminiscing on how special our wedding was - one year later - and so much of that is thanks to the JRE team!!
