First let me say that the end result was beautiful, and I was fairly happy with my flowers. That being said, I had quite a few issues with Jones the Florist. The consultant we first met with showed up late to our consultation. One of my colors was grey, and she suggested Brunia berries to bring some grey into the bouquets. I absolutely loved them, and agreed. She informed me that she would have a quote to me within the week. After about two weeks with no quote, I emailed her. No response. I finally got a response about a month in, informing me that Brunia berries are only available in the fall and I could not have them for my May wedding. I explained that the consultant I had worked with had suggested them, and I was advised that she was no longer with the company. I am an understanding person, and I realize that during that transition things were probably bumpy. I sucked it up and picked a different filler. I paid the deposit. Fast forward to a month before the wedding, when I'm told that the deposit was never received and that their computer system messes things up. Really? That's not great for bookkeeping. Got that all sorted out eventually. The day of the wedding, the flowers were beautiful but not perfect. The ribbon color on my bouquet was wrong, and the bouquet was not the shape I had discussed with the original consultant. I would use Jones the Florist to send my mom flowers, but not for a big event. Too many bumps in the road.
We used Jones for our boutonnieres and corsages. They were gorgeous and actually lasted a few days. They were easy to work with. Thanks!
They did such a good job on my flowers that I got them freeze dried. I don't know anything about flowers and she just knew what I wanted. I love them
Great staff that work w/ you no matter how many changes you make as long as it is not too far before your wedding. I had my wedding on a Sunday and some of the flowers when they were delivered had started to turn brown. However, they didn't die until recently (3 weeks) after my wedding.
we were so happy with the way our flowers turned out. I couldn't have imagined them any better. It was a great value and they were able to offer suggestions to better fit our budget that looked amazing!
My floral consultant (Summer) understood exactly what I was dreaming of and made it happen. I loved the simplicity and elegance of our flowers, they were classic! Jones the Florist were easy to work with - zero stress on wedding day. They have such a great reputation in Cincinnati and it's well deserved.
I went with Summer at Jones the Florist for my wedding. I had big plans for my wedding and very strict details. I saw her work often in Cincinnati Bridal Magazine. Summer understood my vision and worked with me very well. We corresponded over email, and she was quick to answer questions. About 2 days before my wedding she said that she could not get ANY ranunculus for the event, which was one of my favorite focal point flowers. This was annoying. She subbed in a different flower and it was nice. I wish at times she had told me that some of my flower choices would be ugly- such as lisianthus, which turned out looking like dead wilty carnations, yuck. I will say that my bouquet was gorgeous!! The bridesmaids bouquets really bugged me, they were all different sizes, which can make some girls feel less important, and just looks bad all together. The boutonnieres for the guys were very nice. The centerpieces were 3 different arrangements, one of which turned out horrid! A magazine had a picture of vases wrapped around the inside with tulips which were suspended in water, which is what I asked for, but not what I got. They looked like she took tulips and grass waded them up and shoved them in the vase. Horrible, so family took them off and rearranged things so that they were not a focal point. The floating peonies and roses looked great. We had also agreed that the arrangements would be tight and ball shaped, which did not happen. For quality, I thought too many flowers were too open such as the peonies and dahlias- they must have let them get too hot. The roses looked very nice and lasted well. The service was ok because they were easy to get in contact with and showed up on time. The value is not great because I don't feel like we got what we paid for. I would recommend them, but I would try to get them to agree to a certain number of stems per arrangement to ensure your designs show up how you expect them to.
;The gentleman I dealt with was very rude. When I told him what I wanted he continued to tell me how expensive it would be, trying to get me to do different flowers. The day before the wedding he said they couldn't deliver because it was too far, 7 miles! On the day of the wedding he called to say they were closing early and we had to get the flowers by 12 and our wedding wasn't until 6:30. I would not recommend this florist to anyone! The flowers were not exactly what I wanted, but it worked out OK.
