I recently got married (8/30/14) and asked for a 9 passenger limo to bring my bridesmaids and myself from the Stonington Borough to the Mystic Marriott. The limo arrived right on time (maybe even a bit earlier than anticipated), which was great. However, I immediately noticed that we were given an 8 passenger limo and not one that could fit 9 people as stated in the contract. One of my bridesmaids had to sit on the floor because there wasn't enough room to fit everyone. In addition to being crammed in, the AC was broken and the driver did not roll windows down. We were so hot and uncomfortable that I was actually car sick on the way to my wedding. I know it was only a 15-20 min drive, but it was a very bad experience.
What's even worse is I've tried NUMEROUS times to reach out to the company and haven't gotten anywhere. Finally, after leaving a bad review on Facebook, I received a Facebook message on 10/12... almost a week and a half after I initially attempted to make contact by phone and email. The "representative" gave his phone number... I called 3 times on the 13th, left a voicemail, and that evening got a TEXT that said "I received your voice message. I appreciate your call. I will call you tomorrow on my day off. My voice is really raspy and want to hear you out but I doubt you will understand me." ...Days go by and I don't hear anything. I tried calling once more, and it went right to voicemail. Since FACEBOOK seems to be the preferred method of communication, I sent a message on 10/26 with the aforementioned complaints. I got this:
“Kristen,
You attempts to reach me were due to a cellphone malfunction. It seems like it's been a perfect storm each and every time you have tried to do anything. This is stuff we can not repeat even if we tried. I am very sorry to hear about your issue, and I have not at all attempted to no want to hear you out. Infact, we strive for the best customer service and when we don't give it we expect to hear about it.
When you reached out to Stephanie it (unfortunately) was during a time where we were at our busiest time and the owners were on vacation. I never called you back because I was at a football game when I was notified of your un happy experience. I had no voice the next day due to yelling at the kids to play harder lol. We are very disappointed about your experience and would love to have another opportunity to earn your business.
Do you have any night outs planed? Family day out on the road? We would love to have the opportunity to have you rave about us and spread the word of your excellent customer service.
You can bet, we don't take this lightly.
I am sorry, congratulations tho, I wish you lots of love, and prosperity in your marriage.”
I requested a refund and was told it would be brought to the board’s attention on Monday, Nov. 3rd. Shockingly, I still haven’t heard anything… STEER CLEAR!!!
