I completely trusted her judgment and told her whatever she thinks. Of course all the bouquets turned out beautiful and of course are gorgeous in my wedding photos! WOW! Jeanette, of J's Fresh Flower Market, and I immediately hit it off. She was so much fun to work with while planning my flowers for the day. She totally "got me" and what I was going for and the entire experience was so much fun. And in the midst of sometimes stressful wedding planning, that in itself is a blessing. Even if I was suffering from "bride brain" and had to double check things with her or make changes, she was so kind and helpful. She worked with my teensy little budget and did amazingly beautiful flowers for my whole wedding. A few days before the wedding, I met to pay the final bill and was actually a little sad to not be seeing her again. And she said the sweetest thing, "Just look down at your bouquet and I'll be smiling back at you." Loveliest woman ever. If you want a personalized experience - use J's Fresh Flower Market. It's your wedding and you only get to do it once. You might as well find the best vendors who understand that and are there to help enhance your experience. Jeanette was wonderful. During our initial planning meeting she was helpful, guiding me to flowers in the colors I wanted that would work well together. When I explained that my groom was allergic to flowers, she didn't push me into ordering a boutonniere for him. When I'd come in with my mother with questions, she was always available to answer them. She was willing to do slight changes to the order (making corsages pin-ons instead of wrist.) She didn't charge us extra for the rose we ordered 2 weeks before the wedding (for my husband to put on the altar in memory of his deceased mother.) Jeanette is easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable and I will definitely be back to her shop for anything floral.

The flowers were gorgeous! My mother actually did all the bouquets, boutineers, and the head table, but Jay helped us find the perfect flowers for the best price. She even offers DIY classes for those looking to save some money. Her shop is adorable and I would highly recommend checking it out!

I used J's fresh flower market for my wedding and she was the BEST. The flowers were stunning, they lasted well over 4 days after the wedding was over. and looked amazing the whole day (even after everything we put them threw) I received SO many compliments on my flowers, and the brisdesmaids flowers. Best of all, she was the best priced. Its not often you find GREAT quailty and customer service with a great price. If you dont use J's fresh flower market for your wedding your going to be sorry. I promise she is the BEST. I have refered 3 people to here and they LOVED her. You cant get your wedding day back, so make sure the flowers are amazing and use J's fresh flower market I promise you will love gennette and your flowers!!!

J was super friendly and kind throughout the entire process. She was willing to help us make arrangements that fit the day and helped pull the look of wedding together. She was prompt in responding back to emails and flexible when we made a few changes to things. We did the full service option but you do have to pick up the flowers (they don't deliver).

What can I say the Service that we received at J's was above and beyond,The flowers we received from there were more than we had expected, my bouquet was stunning, my girls could not believe the flowers that they got to carry. Everyone wanted to know who did the flowers,I do believe Jeanette was blessed with a great talent and understanding, I have and will continue to recommend her to anyone who is looking for a wedding florist or for any other flowers you might be looking for.

Jeanette is an absolute sweetheart and was extremely responsive. I am in no way knowledgable about flowers and with Jeanette I didn't need to be. J.'s Fresh Flower Market was an excellent florist to use for my 08/03/13 wedding! I came to her with the ideas I had for my vision, and it seemed to all come to life. I decided to use huge baby's breath centerpieces and these came out looking wonderful! Bridesmaids absolutely loved their white hydrangea bouquets and my bouquet of hydrangea, freesia, ranunculus, and garden roses was gorgeous! The flowers really helped to make our reception special. They even have large artificial arrangements for rent. So easy to work with and a great, creative eye for floral. Really helped to bring my wedding vision a reality. Affordable! If you're looking for a florist in the Grand Rapids, MI area for any special occasion, I would definitely recommend J.'s!

I used J's to do a bulk flower order for my wedding. I had a gardening friend who had offered to help make all the wedding bouquets, so I was happy to find a florist who I could order my flowers through. J was so helpful in helping me figure out exactly how many flowers I needed for the wedding and reception. She estimated just right, because all the bouquets were full and beautiful, and there was just enough left over to make an arrangement for the guest book table! The flowers came in absolutely beautiful. I got so many compliments from guests, and it was so neat to tell them we had done the flowers ourselves. No one could believe it! I would recommend J's to anyone!

I got married on June , 2013 and utilized J's Fresh Flower Market. I had been in contact with J a year prior to our wedding date and I can attest that each interaction whether in person, e-mail or with staff I was treated with the utmost respect, helpful and friendly service. Words cannot describe the appreciation I have for her and the work she does. I was beyond impressed when I saw all of my flowers for myself, my bridal party, my family, and my reception. I had only shown her a couple of flower pictures at our initial meeting and was amazed that come my wedding day she recreated exactly what I wanted. The service was great, J and staff were very friendly, helpful and honest. The flowers were amazing, unfortunately we did had a lot of extra flowers we could not use and still paid for (we did DIY). Otherwise, perfect! We will go there again for other occasions.

We used Js for our centerpieces. It was fun getting everyone together and arranging them. They crate and store them, you pick up the day of your wedding! Fun!!

The whole process of working with J's for our wedding flowers was wonderful! My husband and I live in Chicago, and could only travel back and forth for appointments on the weekends. J's was very accomadating to our difficult schedule. Our intial appointment went much more smoothly than I expected, since I don't really know anything about flowers and tend to be quite indecisive. Jeanette knew the right questions to ask, could pull together samples to show us, and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We opted to save some money by the DIY centerpiece option. I was a little worried about the centerpieces not looking right, but they turned out perfectly with some initial instruction and we all had a great time making the arrangements. One of my bridesmaids had also used J's for her wedding earlier this year and also told me she had a great experience with them. I'm very pleased with the overall experience!

I was really excited to work with a DIY service but I was very disappointed. I attempted to contact and set up a first meeting for over a month and received no response to my emails. Since my wedding date is very popular this year, I was forced to find another vendor. One of my pet peeves is when businesses don't email you back promptly so I decided to take my business somewhere else.

We decided to do the DIY package for our wedding flowers. When I first went to J's for my consultation I had no idea what I wanted. I know very little about flowers, but her girls did a wonderful job giving me ideas and coming up with flowers that would look beautiful together. My Matron-of-Honor and I took the arranging class together so we'd know how to put our flowers together, and we had a great time. J taught the class herself and gave everyone in the room the time and attention that they needed to really understand how to put the flowers together. The day of arranging went perfectly. They have long tables in the back set up for you to arrange your bouquet's and all your flowers already out waiting. J not only ran the store that day but also attended to our every need, helping arrange, showing us what looks the best, and even arranging my bridal bouquet all out of the goodness of her heart. She is such a wonderful lady and is very committed to her customers. She's also a ton of fun! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for flowers for their special day, whether full service or DIY. It was an amazing and absolutely stress free experience. I came out of the entire thing with 12 boutonniere's, 8 corsages, 12 table arrangements, and six bouquet's for under $500. It was an absolute dream come true! Oh - and the flowers all looked amazing!

First of all, Jeanette is absolutely wonderful to work with. I was 100% clueless about anything flower, however when we went and met with her she made my vision come to life all while understanding that I was on a tight budget. We decided to go with the DIY which may sound intimidating but it was actually a blast! J offers classes about twice a month where she shows you exactly how to make everything, a bouquet, corsage, boutenierre. I left her class feeling confident that I could do my own flowers. Then on the Thursday before my wedding, some of my bridesmaids, my mom and I went to put all of our flowers together and honestly had so much fun. Jeanette was around to help if we had questions and our flowers ended up turning out perfectly! No one could believe we did them ourselves. Overall, a great experience! I would recommend j to anyone!!

I've wanted peonies for my wedding for as long as I can remember. J's Fresh Flower Market had beautiful white peonies at an amazing price. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful! I'll definitely be returning for any of my flower needs.

J's Fresh Flowers was the best! My flowers were absolutely beautiful! I had so many compliments on how beautiful they were, from my bouquet, to the centerpieces. They were so helpful and creative in helping my plan what kind of flowers I wanted. I didn't really have an idea of what I wanted, and had never really worked with flowers before, but they were able to take my budget and work within it to give me the most beautiful flowers! I was able to do some of my flowers DIY and some serviced, and the whole experience was just amazing! Even when things got messed up the day before the wedding, J was able to jump right in there, and fix everything for me, relieving so much stress! I would highly recommend them to any bride, and will be using them again in the future!

I ordered my wedding flowers from them and they were very friendly and reasonable priced but the quality is not what we hoped for. Our bouquets were sunflowers and they looked like they were already starting to die and my husband's boutonniere broke in two during the wedding. I would highly recommend making sure you are clear in your expectations when talking to them.

Not only were the flowers absolutely gorgeous, but the help and support that J gave us while we were making all the wedding flowers was above and beyond anything I could have imagined. We did take the classes and although that really helped, J was also generous with her support during our "DIY" wedding flowers. I highly recommend this place...you won't be sorry!

My sister and I took Jeanette"s (J"s) flower design class to prepare us for making the flowers for my wedding. J was AMAZING! She was so patient,sweet,and really made sure that we felt comfortable and confident that "we can do this!" Of course, J is a pro and made it look very easy, but even on the arrangements that we felt a little apprehensive about, she was there walking us through every step of the way! We came back in to make our flower arrangements 2 days before the wedding and everything turned out BEAUTIFULLY!! J was there to lend a hand if we needed a reminder, but her training from the design class really paid off because we felt like pros! We made all of the Bouquets, boutonniere, corsages, and centerpieces and they turned out so great, classy, and fun! I will recommend J to anyone - she and her team are the Best! I picked this florist because of the wide range of options available for weddings. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, told them my price range, and they worked to get me exactly what I wanted. The DIY was fun to do with my mom and bridesmaids, and the class that we took was very helpful in learning how to make the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres. My flowers turned out beautiful. I was very happy with this florist!

I wanted to do my own flowers with my fiance - he was totally into the idea! I had seen J's flowers at weekend wedding events and they seemed great. When I emailed to make an appointment to meet with them, they were not at all responsive. My fiance and I live in Muskegon, but I work in Grand Rapids, and the wedding was in Grand Rapids. They could only offer us a meeting time during the day! Neither one of us could get off work for a whole day or even half a day to make this work. I'm so glad I found another place to handle my flowers.

I LOVED my flower's from J's. The ladies there were so helpful and did an amazing job of capturing my vision for my flowers. They even showed up to the shop early the day of my wedding so that we could get the flowers in time. Everything was better than I imagined!

If i had to do it all over again, I would J's Fresh Flower was amazing to work with. Jeanette ( The Owner ) is by far the most caring Person and has alot of passion for her work. Jeanette And her team from beginning to end met and went beyond all of our expectations. My Flowers were an important part of my day, As my mother had passed only 3 weeks before my Wedding we were to do the Diy, well Jeanette called and said not to worry she would do the flowers and make sure thing's were in order, and true to her word our flowers and our day was that much more special, I can't thank them enough for stepping up to the plate, And Helping me in my time of need, Thank you Jeanette and your Team

DIY flowers saved us a lot of money. I would make sure that you will be able to transport all of the flowers and centerpieces. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars in all categories is that they mixed up my time when we were putting them together, the flowers were not there on time, and some of the flowers were poor quality.

My husband's cousin is a florist in Nebraska and asked to do our flowers, but we were getting married in Michigan. We found J's, which made our lives so much easier. Jeanette (the J is J's) ordered our flowers, gave us a space to work in, and a place to store the flowers before the wedding. She was very friendly and helpful in the planning stages. However, our flowers were a little less then we were expecting. We wanted open lilies, but they were refrigerated so they stayed closed. Same with the glads. Overall, it was a great option for our situation.

Working with J's was an easy experience as I had no clue about flowers and what went well together. The coordinator was very helpful. The only complaint is that the ribbon came undone from most of the bouquet's, the boutineer's for the guys were larger than expected, and the rose colors in my bouquet were not the color I had expected. Everything was beautiful just not quite what I wanted.

J's was wonderful. They called me to confirm my order several times, just to ensure everything was exactly how I wanted it. They were so affordable, even when choosing the full service rather than the diy option. And the flowers were so fresh and so beautiful on the wedding day!!

J's DIY was an awesome service-not only did I get to save some money I had an awesome time doing the floral arrangements with my mom, an aunt, and sister. The staff is super nice, helped me find the right flowers for my wedding and helped me out making the arrangements even though I did DIY. I would (and have) recommended them to any bride I know in GR or near-by!

Not only were the flowers gorgeous at a great price...the owner and staff of J's believes & acts as if each bride is special...and though they say it to all the brides....they MEAN it. Each bride IS special to them and it shows!

I live a state away and they worked with me over e-mail and the phone. My grandma was putting the flowers together for us and took a class at J's. She said they really helped her, and once I saw the final product I cried. Beautiful flowers and they lasted for days after the wedding!

Jeanette was amazing at helping us with everything. I especially appreciated her help since we took the DIY route! For someone who's never done floral arrangements before, I felt that they turned out great! The DIY route was also a lot easier on our budget.

They were professional and fun. They definitely enjoy there job and it shows! They do a DIY service as well so you can save money if you want. Mine was only $50 more to have them do it so that is the way we went. They also deliver the flowers for a fee or you can pick them up yourselves. Another way to save money! I was disappointed that one of our father's boutonnieres was not included even though we paid for it. We never found it but I did not pick them up and my people did not double check so it got missed until right before the ceremony when I saw my father-in-law without his flower. It was too late at that point and if you read mine review of the Frederick Meijer Garden he would of lost it anyhow! LOL!! I still think J's is great and would recommend them to others and would use them again myself.

Can't say enough J's went out of there way to make our experience a great one. Our flowers turned out so beautiful I would recommend them to anyone looking to have beautiful flowers on there special day.

I had always planned on arranging my own flowers for our wedding. After visiting several vendors in Grand Rapids, J's proved to be not only the best price, but the store and staff were amazing. We only had 1 week to plan the flowers as we do not live locally, and Jeanette was incredible. Instead of trying to upsell or push other products on us like many vendors do, she was honest and considerate and suggested flowers that turned out to be the most beautiful and cost-effective solution. All night people asked about the flowers! Also loved the workspace in the shop where we were able to arrange our flowers and then store them in the cooler. Altogether the best find of our wedding planning process. Highly recommend!
