Oh hey there! I’m Melissa, Certified Wedding planner and the Owner of Jubilee Weddings and Events.
Believe it or not, I’ve done over 800 weddings over the last 14 years, and I have been a certified wedding and event planner since 2005 and recently refreshed my certification through The Bridal Society… yes my feet hurt, but it is SO worth it.
We take pride in coordinating weddings all over Western Washington. We have had the pleasure of working at many venues around the Pacific Northwest and love being able to visit new venues too!!

From bridal showers and baby showers, to birthday parties and big celebrations, I want to be a part of it!
Being married since 2005, I know how exciting it is to get married to the love of your life, so any chance I can get to help another couple, is a dream come true.
Speaking of true love, we have an amazing 13 year old son, who doesn’t think I’m too strange just yet. I do act as his Uber driver to take him to sporting events, and school activities, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
Traveling is always on my to do list, especially if it’s near a Disney park or resort. Who else is a huge Disney fanatic? I can’t help it, Disney is a magical place!
Cooking is also one of my passions - it may get a little messy, because making up my own recipes is a frequent activity of mine in the kitchen.
When I’m not coordinating a wedding, or when I don’t have one of my many other hats on, I LOVE kayaking. The movement of the water… the sun kissing my skin - there’s something so serene about it. Especially on a Washington lake.

As a fellow wedding vendor, I was so impressed with my experience working with Kari from Jubilee Weddings this weekend that I knew I needed to run straight to The Knot and share with the world.
The wedding was set at Rosehill Community Center, and the bride is a planner herself, setting the bar high. From the getgo, Kari's timeline showed she got it – seamlessly reflecting my photography needs and prioritizing the bride & groom having a joyous, stress-free experience.
Kari nailed it on the day-of, handling a complex room flip without a hitch. Her assistant was right there too, attending to our couple's every detail. It's one thing to be an expert, another to mix in fun and kindness like she did. At one point, I ran to Kari and just yelled 'boutonniere?' and she knew what needed to be done. I loved being able to count on her!
Kari's work is definitely worth singing from the rooftops about. She and her team made the day elegant yet fun, smooth yet memorable. They're the real deal in creating a flawless, enjoyable experience.

Melissa and her team are so AMAZING! At a venue that commands strict attention and can provide some tricky logistics for a planner, Melissa and her team were able to go above and beyond. As a DJ it is important for me to work hand in hand with a planner or coordinator and they made my life easy. Organization, attention to detail and communication were perfect. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

I used their Day of Coordinator services and worked with Melissa and MeLisa and had a fantastic experience. The use of their software helped planning immensely. Leading up to the wedding, communication was great. And on the day of the wedding, everything was executed perfectly! MeLisa was calm, attentive, efficient and so helpful. My family members commented on how easy it was to work with her. I am so thankful for how they made my wedding day play out effortlessly so that I could truly enjoy it without having to worry about how my plan and vision would play out. Kudos to the Jubilee team. I am so grateful and I highly recommend their services.

We had Kari and her assistant Maya helped us with Day of Coordination during our wedding a couple weeks ago, and they KILLED it. I didn't worry about a thing the night of the wedding and just got to enjoy it. Kari is the sweetest and also incredibly professional. All my friends and family mentioned how great she was. We had a fun shared connection through our fiance's backgrounds and it was awesome because she took special care with the decor for a cultural piece of our ceremony.
Planning:
I did most of the planning myself and just hired Jubilee for day of coordination, and I am so glad I did. Jubilee gives you access to aisleplanner, which has a ton of useful notes and questionnaires, that while time consuming to fill out, really help you iron out the small details to ensure everything goes smoothly day of and there's not so many "oh wait I didn't figure that out until now" moments. The main two forms were item lists (every piece of decor and how/where to place) and wedding details (like what does each vendor need, what order are people walking down the aisle, does the officiant announce to silence cell phones or the DJ, etc). These were all small details that needed to be clarified but since I don't have experience planning weddings I wouldn't have realized to sort out these things.
Kari helped create my floor plan, which took so much stress off of my plate, and gave me advice on a lot of small details I wasn't sure about. Day of she kept me in the loop when the venue made a few last minute adjustments so I'd be aware.
Day of:
Kari set up the decor beautifully and packed everything back up at the end of the night. Everything was packed neatly back into the boxes and everything made it home with us that we brought with us.
Kari checked in with us throughout the night, but not too often, to let us know where we were on timeline and how we wanted to adjust things. We were behind on the timeline and Kari was able to adjust things on the fly and work with the DJ to make sure everything still went smoothly and we were still able to get our sunset portraits at the right time (she made that a priority, which I appreciated!).
Cost:
I felt the level of service provided for the cost was incredibly reasonable. I looked at several other coordination packages and many were 5x the cost with less services provided. I've seen some negative reviews about unexpected costs from Jubilee but I think those folks just didn't read the contracts carefully enough, plus Kari always reminded us when something would be an additional cost (like having the rehearsal on a Friday, which we didn't end up doing).
It was also great that Jubilee had a rental inventory (at reasonable prices) which allowed us to bring less items and not have to buy as many things.
I'd hire Jubilee again in a heartbeat.

We had Melissa and Kari helping us and I’ll just say, WoW! The entire night we didn’t have to worry about a single thing, we were taken care of every minute from them asking if we needed something to drink to them ensuring everything was moving along smoothly. My wife had very specific things in mind for how she wanted stuff set up and they were able to hear her and make her dreams come true! We are beyond thankful for how professional they were and would recommend them to everyone!

Thank you so much Melissa! Working with Jubilee was such a load off my shoulders after tackling most of the planning for our wedding. We did the mini day-of coordination package- After having a bit of an anxiety attack, I reached out to Jubilee about a month before our wedding for help- thankfully they were able to make time for us on our date. I literally do not know what I would have done without Melissa's help and reassurance. Due to unforeseen circumstances (venue attendant's car broke down on the way to unlocking it for us), our day was a little bit chaotic at first. But Melissa was immediately on it, calling around, trying to figure out the next best solution. We ended up having the ceremony outside in the park and it was lovely. Thank you Melissa for all your help and for rolling with the punches on our slightly unconventional wedding day. I wouldn't have had it any other way!

We hired Jubilee for day-of coordination for our wedding and everything went great! The rates are incredibly reasonable for this area and during my research before booking, I found that no one offers as much pre-planning services for day-of coordination. Melissa was up front about response times for questions and always had a succinct and professional answer for anything that came up during planning. The planning software was a gift in organizing all the little details and our coordinators followed it to a tee. I was impressed with how attentive they were throughout our day, from directing our flower girls, to fixing my bustle after it got stepped on, to helping our caterer when the bartender didn’t show up, among many other tasks. I received exactly what I wanted in day-of coordination: I got to make all the decisions for my wedding, and I (and my family) got to relax and have fun all day. I would recommend hiring Jubilee for day-of coordination for any DIY bride so you can focus on enjoying the meaning of the day and fully participate in the celebration.

Took all our money during Covid, with no service
If I could submit a zero star I would. We booked with Melissa and paid her the deposit and the full invoice up front in good faith that we would be able to have our wedding. But because of Covid we had to cancel.
We said that Melissa could keep the deposit and asked if she could return the remaining amount since there was no work done. She said no but offered a credit. A credit for what? She did not do anything, no planning, no consultation or anything and kept our money. I wouldn't want to do business with someone like her.
Its not like my fiancé and I have a ton of money to be losing. We understand that we needed to lose deposits, but we didn't expect her to be so greedy and keep money for something she didn't even do.

They did a nice job decorating, but only did an “ok” job coordinating it. My photographer, DJ, and venue owners had to step in and handle things to keep things running smoothly and on time. Melissa didn’t show up to the final review, so my venue owner had to step in and help with set up lay out. We were extremely disappointed with this coordinator. We ended up paying over $1000 for her to be there day of, and felt taken advantage of. Melissa was also extremely rude to my mother and other family members the day of my wedding.

Melissa and her team were ROCKSTARS! They took all the stress out of the wedding day! In my eyes everything went according to plan! Any hiccups the team handled it! The room was set up beautifully and everything packed up smoothly! Melissa is very professional and timely while also being very down to earth and easy to work and communicate with! You seriously can’t go wrong! 10/10 would recommend! I could not imagine my wedding day without the jubilee team!

We had a wonderful wedding and definitely owe a lot of thanks to Melissa and her team! We started with the day-of package and upped it to the silver package once we were getting overwhelmed with finding vendors. Melissa did an excellent job helping us find our DJ and florist and helped with the overall ceremony, reception and decoration planning. We did miss a few of the included meetings that were in the silver package, however our schedule was tight and she was very flexible with possible times. Her team on the day of, Leslie and Lexi, were wonderful at getting everything put in place and it looked STUNNING! We were so happy when we walked in and saw all of the decor and planning come together. They were great during the wedding at making sure everything ran smoothly and getting things ready when they needed to be! We honestly had an amazing time during our wedding which goes to show that there were some great coordinators behind the scene!

Melissa and Leslie helped make my wedding a well-organized, stress-free experience.
Their day-of services were included as part of the Wine and Roses Country Estate package, and were a key part of making the day go smoothly.
I also invested in some additional time from them to help me in the months leading up to the wedding. They helped keep me on track in terms of when I needed to find various vendors and the many decisions that I needed to make. They couldn't make the decisions for me, but they helped insure that I knew what to think about and when, which was great.
Throughout the process they were friendly and helpful.
The day-of was when their services really shone.
I showed up morning-of after a rather frantic lead-up, we got all the stuff unloaded, and I told Melissa what was where.
And that was it!
I got to go and get ready while she Made It Happen.
They got all the decorations out, the tables made up, and everything looked great!
I had put together some information for how I hoped the tables would look, but hadn't thought about the sweetheart table (which had a different tablecloth color). They took some of the extra "maybe" decoration materials I had included, and came up with something that looked really nice.
They also made everything tick along like a well-oiled machine. I didn't need to worry about who was where, or where I needed to be - they made sure that everyone was in the right place at the right time, from before the ceremony to the very end.
I actually got to *enjoy* my own wedding, thanks to them!
And at the end they got everything packed up and ready to cart off.
I can definitely say that they helped make my wedding wonderful and as stress-free as possible.

We absolutely loved Melissa and Leslie! They are such a great team to work with. They offer all sorts of packages, but we used them as a day of coordinator for our wedding. We met with them twice, but had a lot of email contact! Melissa was quick to get back to me, and had lots of information. Whenever I had a question, she was more than willing to give me whatever I needed to find the answer!
There was no doubt in my mind they knew what they were doing. They had never been to my venue before, but that did not stop them from doing an exceptional job! We had Leslie the night of our wedding, and it was great. Things went smoothly, and she was really able to work with our schedule and maneuver things as the evening progressed. That was really great, I never felt rushed to get through the night! I felt they genuinely cared about my husband and I, and the connection we had was fabulous. We really enjoyed working with them, and definitely recommend them to anyone looking! Even a day of coordinator was a great help!
