I am Jules, the founder of Jules | the Beauty Lounge. I got into this business because I myself was shy and self-conscious growing up. It has since become a passion of mine to help empower other's to look and feel their best. Special events are wonderful, but can also bring out our worst insecurities. I take this reality very seriously with all of my makeup applications, especially my brides. To me, being a great makeup artist means having the ability to listen understand how each person wishes to appear on these special days and having the skills to make it happen.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Edith James Salon! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely perfect. We even had the salon all to ourselves in the AM, which made the day feel incredibly exclusive. They let us pick out the music, bring food, and even pop some champagne, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond. Jules did my makeup, and it was absolutely FLAWLESS—it lasted all day, all night, and even into the morning! Gabbie and Shannon also did makeup for some of the ladies, and their work was just as stunning. A huge shoutout to our hairstylists, Dana and Crystal, who were so patient and talented in getting everyone camera-ready. Crystal styled my hair, and she perfectly captured my personality in the look—it was everything I could have hoped for and more. The entire team at Edith James made our day so special. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a salon that combines exceptional skill with a warm and welcoming vibe, this is the place to go!

I recently had my hair and makeup done at the salon for my January wedding, and I’m honestly so happy with how it turned out! I work with the artists here daily and know firsthand how talented and dedicated they are. I wanted something super natural since I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, and Jules nailed it. Just the right amount of coverage without feeling heavy. She listens to what you want, asks lots of questions, and works hard to deliver a result that will blow you away. As for my hair, I asked for a simple, low bun, and Dana spent time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Her attention to detail is evident when she is working, as she takes into account every aspect of the style and how it will hold throughout the day. I cannot express how happy you will be if you choose Edith James to be a part of your wedding day! I have worked with all of the stylists and makeup artists here and they each have so much love for what they do. You will not regret having this amazing team be a part of your celebration:)

Jules and her team are phenomenal. As someone who doesn’t typically wear a lot of makeup I was impressed with how my makeup looked. Jules listened to me and with her creativity matched the perfect tones and style that I was going for. Jules & her team are efficient, polite, creative and very reasonably priced. Before actually doing any makeup Jules asked what I wanted, what I typically do and created a custom shade of foundation to match my skin tone. I was absolutely obsessed with my makeup, she made me feel so beautiful & confident. My makeup lasted the entire day & night. My makeup did not run, smudge or fade. My bridal party looked amazing too. Jules and her team are extremely talented and I’ve used her for every special occasion since my wedding. While I liked a softer look, Jules is more than happy to do a more dramatic style too. She’s so versatile and I recommend her to EVERYONE looking for a great MUA & esthetician. I cannot say enough good things about Jules!

Jules was amazing. She made everyone feel special on my special day. With my bridal party not used to wearing makeup Jules manage to put makeup on them and they loved it. They felt so comfortable with Jules doing their makeup. She so friendly and encouraging to everyone. My mother in law does not wear any makeup and struggled to was nervous to get mascara on but with Jules she manage to put it on with no problem. I would highly recommend Jules for any event.

Julia is incredible! She did make up for me, my 2 sisters, and my mom, for my wedding and everyone loved their results. No one is more knowledgeable than Julia when it comes to make up, hair, and styling. She is amazing and truly dedicated to her clients, always going above and beyond for them. I trust her vision implicitly and will always go to her for all of my make up needs.
