Megan went above and beyond to make our 15-person, backyard wedding look and feel BEYOND special. Her creativity and endless supply of new ideas was exactly what we needed. She found us the perfect florist (truly), a chef/caterer that could REALLY do vegan, and so much more. Thank you!!
Because of COVID, our wedding was moved twice over the course of a year and a half. Initially we had not planned to hire a day-of-planner as the vast majority of the wedding was already planned. But, after all of the delays, we became especially tired of trying to keep up with the small details. Because of this we started looking for day-of planners. We found Julian Events through our searches and after our first meeting with Megan, we knew she was going to be perfect. It was clear to us that Megan loved her job and had a passion for providing couples with a wonderful wedding experience.
Throughout the planning process, Megan kept in great communication. She is incredibly professional and was always prepared. She knew the industry and was already familiar with the other vendors for our wedding, which was helpful in setting expectations and anticipating needs for the wedding day. During our meetings and walk throughs, she brought up important ideas that we had not previously considered, and provided great recommendations for areas where we were unsure. As we got close to our wedding day, she was incredibly helpful with any last-minute changes or unanticipated roadblocks. Her online dashboard also helped us to keep organized and she was willing to try new approaches and technologies to help make the wedding unique and personal to us.
On the day-of, Megan and her assistant were powerhouses. They made everything so easy for us. During the prep and photo part of our day, they helped to keep us on schedule and saved the day by but fixing loose buttons and torn pants to prevent catastrophe. As we arrived to the venue, their experience allowed them to navigate the multitude of vendors and guests with ease. Our wedding party and family all commented on how amazing they were, both professionally and personally. Several family members still comment about how Megan and her group were the best thing did for the wedding.
Looking back, it’s funny how we initially were not interested in a day-of planner and remained on the fence throughout our initial search; now as we reflect after the wedding, it is clear that Julian Events is considered a must-have. Even though we took pride in our own planning for the wedding, Megan and Julian Events added so much. They allowed us to spend our wedding day as the couple, focused on each other, our family, and friends knowing that everything was under control. Would highly recommend.
From my heart I cannot say enough good things about Megan. Julian. This small space does not do her justice. She was our month of but so much more. She always quickly responded to nervous MOB questions. She calmed everyone’s nerves and kept the ship sailing straight. If you think you can do it yourself and enjoy the day think again. Megan took so much pressure off us and went above and beyond regarding every detail. We found after we had our invites she has many talents above and beyond wedding planning.Her paper products and signage are also fabulous! I could go on and on about her attention to detail, her problem solving skills, her ability to deal with difficult vendors, her eye for color and coordinating details and her beautiful calming nature. She pulled every detail together. She was a priceless addition to our day and I cannot thank her enough. She would be a asset to anyone planning a event or a wedding!

Megan felt like so much more than our month of wedding coordinator. She helped us navigate getting married during a pandemic, and ultimately plan, and replan, our wedding. She answered countless questions and provided so much advice for every minor detail of the planning process. Her attention to detail and planning for each minute of the day made me realize why every bride needs a wedding coordinator like Megan- she has planned so many weddings and knows what works well and what doesn't so she is able to create your day of timeline accordingly. Megan was also a saving grace for all communication the day of so neither myself or family had to stress. She knew my vision for the day so was able to make day of decisions and execute according to what we had planned. If you want an extremely detail oriented, professional, passionate planner who will go above and beyond - Megan is your girl!
Julian Events was by FAR the best service partner we worked with for our wedding day. Megan consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything for our wedding day was perfect. Every detail, every question, and every situation/scenario for our day was answered and well thought-out. She is amazing at providing both professional advice and personal experience when asked. She and her team are very knowledgeable about the wedding industry and it really showed! I cannot recommend Julian Events enough!!

Meg was AMAZING with our wedding weekend coordination. She corralled two sets of extremely spacey families, wedding parties, and officiants to have a perfect ceremony. She worked with all the rest of my vendors (whom she'd only met that weekend) flawlessly. Finally, she took an undecorated tent and my half-formed vision and constructed a dream reception with an army of volunteers! I should note that all of this was done with ZERO oversight from me. I honestly can't even imagine what I'd have done without her.
Megan was (thankfully) involved in our wedding from the very beginning. We had a very short list of "must haves" and she was able to assemble a fantastic crew of service partners that we would recommend to anyone for their wedding! Megan also came through in the clutch for us. At our venue, the original location we wanted for our ceremony was turned into a swamp by local weather. On short notice, Megan was able to recreate everything we loved about the original location and created an experience for us and our families that turned out perfect. Definitely a lifesaver! Would absolutely recommend her to anyone.
Megan was absolutely indispensable to making the reception for our son and his new bride exactly what we wanted. The actual wedding ceremony was out of state and since this was the last of our children to get married we wanted our Kansas City friends to have a place to celebrate without recreating the wedding our new daughter-in-love's family just had. Megan knew how to make the night special from start to finish. She took the time to get to know us and helped us create a street party vibe that was so much fun. Every detail was accounted for, from city permitting to hiring all the vendors and taking charge of the decorating, so my only job was to be mother of the groom! I got to dance with my grandchildren and not worry for a minute that something needed attending to.
My daughter was living in another city but wanting to be married here in KC. I am a super type A detailed oriented physician who absolutely could plan her wedding-Thank goodness I didn’t! I had many friends and family comment “why are you hiring a wedding planner? You don’t need one!” and I am so glad I went forward with Megan Julian. She has a very professional background in theatre and that creativity and ability to improvise was invaluable. She was great at guiding and never overpowered the decisions of the bride and groom. Megan worked with myself here as the local contact and then with the bride and groom while they were at K-State. She was a great liaison and able to take the pressure off myself. I could simply tell my daughter “why don’t you text Megan about that?” Saved our mother-daughter relationship planning this wedding! She had all the little touches at the end taken care of: transported all the luggage and items to the hotel for the bride and groom; loaded up her car with all the décor/personal items we brought and she brought them to our house after the reception. She even had vases ready for me to take home the floral arrangements from the reception! I never saw the ceremony site, nor the reception site until we arrived and she had it all completed and coordinated, exceeding our expectations. You may think you do not need a wedding planner…but take it from this doctor-you do! Or you will end up visiting me in my Emergency Department after the wedding…. Mother of the Bride
I don't even know where to begin to tell you how lucky you are if you hire Megan Julian to be your wedding planner. She is kind, patient, and completely cool at all times. I can say without any hesitation that we could never have pulled our wedding day off without her. She worked so hard to make sure that our vision was brought to life and her coordination on the day-of was just absolutely stellar. I felt so cared for and I could trust that there was nothing for me to do or worry about - I just got to enjoy my day. Thank you, Megan!
Megan was so amazing! We only utilized month of services, but I felt like Megan did so much more. By the time the wedding week rolled around, I felt like I didn't have anything left to do. I was able to just hang out with friends and family the week of the wedding and didn't have a care in the world because Megan had already taken care of everything. She was AMAZING!!!!
Hiring Julian events was by far the best decision we made. We hired them after I had started planning our wedding and was in over my head. Megan was a calm voice of reason that started by cleaning up my mistakes with my venue and invitations. Megan helped keep me on budget and on task. Megan had great cost saving suggestions and talked me out of some costly things that I really didn’t need and am glad I didn't do. My wedding day was so calm; I did not have to lift a finger. She was there for me from the time I woke up until everything was packed in my MOH’s car at the end of the night, she even left us a delicious custom bottle of wine in our hotel room, no detail was overlooked. Megan’s diverse experience in the wedding industry helped with everything from tying my sash into a perfect bow, fixing centerpieces and even giving me labeled envelopes for tips. We found out after our wedding that Megan drove around town to find enough pink flowers for the florist to finish our centerpieces. She never said a word. Julian events kept me so calm and carefree, we were able to enjoy every moment of our special day and for that we are forever grateful.
