Jump Start DJ's is a wedding DJ company based in Lansing, MI, but will travel all over Michigan and beyond. Owner Chris Delgado knows that finding the right DJ is an important part of the planning process. A good DJ should be able to help with transitions, keep on task, read the room, & rock the dance floor without taking over. Your wedding celebration should be as unique as you, and Jump Start DJ's would be honored to be given the chance to show you what they can do.
Jump Start DJ's has been entertaining couples and their guests for more than 37 years. In that time, we have covered more than 1,500 weddings throughout Michigan and across the United States. We love every minute of our work and the vibe from the celebration that every wedding celebration brings. We have put together an amazing group of DJ's, and we would be excited to share our love of music with you.
Jump Start DJ's does much more than play the music you have selected. We are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that your reception runs smoothly. We'll MC, make announcements, and work closely with your other vendors, and will do our part to make your guests feel relaxed and welcome. Love, Love, Love Weddings! For my entire career I have been able to perform at my dream job where I get to be a part of so many weddings and everyone there is celebrating! It's blast to meet new couples and travel to their different venues, and to know that when you see people dancing so hard their feet hurt the next day that you were a part of that :) We couldn't have the success we've had without having an amazing team of DJ's! Our staff is the most important resource of our company and we are excited every year when wedding season is finally gets here. We'd love the chance to earn your business!

Our actual DJ, Christian, was amazing as well! My husband and I gave him full creative freedom with only a few song suggestions and he nailed it. The dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT!! He was so kind and responsive when I reached out. Jump Start was also able to accommodate our ceremony space, which did not have electricity, this was a huge bonus for us. We booked Jumpstart DJ’s for our wedding and they are fantastic to work with! They provided you a portal where you can put your favorite songs, as well as your “do not play” songs....
In addition, Jumpstart DJ’s is very reasonably priced for the excellent service they provide.
We had DJ Eric, who is very friendly and laid back. During our first call with him, he took notes of all our important songs (recessional, first dance, etc). Our venue was small, but the ceremony, cocktail hour/reception and dinner were all in different spots. Eric had no issues moving his equipment around to make sure everything went seamlessly.
One “above and beyond” thing Eric did that was very appreciated was going with the flow. Early in the afternoon, the forecast and radar said it was going to rain for the rest of the afternoon, so he setup his equipment for the rain option which was in a barn. However, after dinner, the rain stopped completely, and we decided we wanted to hold the reception outside. Eric moved his speakers and laptop into the yard and insisted it was not a big deal. It was incredible to enjoy the weather outside and appreciated Eric’s flexibility.
Would absolutely recommend Jumpstart DJ’s for any wedding or event!

hris is so friendly, responsive, and organized. The client portal is extremely user friendly and very detailed/thoughtful to ensure every aspect of the wedding is personalized. Additionally, DJ Eric gave us a call a few weeks before the wedding to introduce himself and discuss details so that we were all of the same page when it came to music and order of events. This made us feel like Eric truly cared about making our day special. At the event, he was personable and professional, the sound quality was great and he did an awesome job of reading the room to play songs we had pre-selected as well as additional hits that fit the vibe and really got the crowd going.

In the week leading up to the wedding we made some slight changes to the order of events at our reception, and Chris was incredibly flexible and was able to accommodate the changes with ease. If we were to do it all again, we would absolutely book Chris as our DJ!
