the actual wedding weekend exceeded every expectation. Katie, our Event Manager, was absolutely incredible throughout the entire planning process. She was organized, responsive, professional, and genuinely cared about making our vision come to life. Having someone so knowledgeable and calm guiding us through every detail made the planning process stress-free and enjoyable. Our wedding weekend felt like a destination wedding without having to leave Oregon. We hosted our rehearsal dinner in the Lava Cave, which completely wowed our guests and set the tone for an unforgettable celebration. Our ceremony on Spirit Island was breathtaking, surrounded by natural beauty and our reception on the Lawn was everything we had dreamed of. As if the day couldn't get any better, we continued the celebration with an after-party at the resort's restaurant, allowing everyone to keep the festivities going without ever leaving the property. One of the things we loved most was being able to have our entire wedding weekend in one place. My husband and I stayed in one of the vacation rentals, while our family and friends stayed in the lodge. It made the whole experience feel intimate, convenient, and truly immersive for everyone attending. The property itself is stunning, the staff is exceptional, and the unique venues throughout that create experiences that our guests are still talking about months later. If you're looking for a wedding venue that offers incredible scenery, unique event spaces, and a team that genuinely cares about your day, JP is the perfect choice. We would choose them all over again and are so grateful for the memories we created there.

anning process and was not worth the beauty of the venue. If you choose this venue, I highly recommend hiring a full-time planner to handle the venues communication. We wouldn't have made it to the day if it wasn't for Indigo Brides. This venue is beautiful but if we could do it all over again knowing what we know now we absolutely would not have chosen this venue. From miscommunications, to being misled, hidden fees, reservation screw ups and other issues the venues beauty didn't make up for the stress and lack of accountability on their part. JP did remove some costs after being sent a detailed email about our dissatisfaction on the customer service we received throughout the process so I will give them that. It did take a lengthy email and a virtual call to receive one apology though. All in all, the wedding was beautiful and went smoothly but it is your money and your day and choosing a venue that will reduce stress rather than amplify it feels worth looking into alternative options.

CONTACTING: Initially, contacting the right person was difficult. I did not know who I needed to talk to, but five people and three months later I was looped in with Melody. I started planning for a surprise proposal, in February, that was going to take place during a family trip to Juniper Preserve in May. I had called and set up dinner reservations for Iris, a restaurant at the resort, and wanted to organize a small private space in or near the restaurant for the proposal itself. The first person I spoke to through their main contact line had transferred me to the events department. I called the events office multiple times with no answer and left a voicemail to which was responded to over a week later. I spoke to someone about my plan and they gave me the contact information for a food and drink manager who they believed was better equipped to accommodate this. I reached out to this person via phone and email; he was on vacation and I heard back from him about two weeks later. He then referred me back to events via email. Someone from events looped in another person. This person finally looped in Melody. Once Melody took over, it was nothing but great! THE PROPOSAL: By this point I had already been able to discuss some of the private areas with other members of the events team. Most of the areas had a price tag, and I was on a budget. So, I planned on taking a walk into the Ghost Tree forrest, which was free. So that the proposal could be private, Melody arranged for some resort employees to be posted at each end of the trail that passes this area to nonchalantly block any other foot traffic (for a small fee that was minimal compared to the other areas). The plan was to show up early for the dinner reservation on "accident" and have the host/hostess tell us that the table was not quite ready and to feel free to take a walk until they text us - Melody organized this with the restaurant staff. I checked in the day of and asked Melody if there was going to be anyone on Spirit Island - a small, private island of a pond on the course near the restaurant - as it was a better location for pictures. I did not discuss this option with her in advance as I was initially quoted a hefty price for a minimum of four hours of a reservation. She stated that no one had reserved the island and asked if we wanted to just have the proposal there instead at no charge. My answer was an obvious yes as this was the ideal plan from the beginning if there hadn't been as high of a price tag. She made sure the chain was up until a few minutes before my fiancé and I planned on crossing the bridge, set up champagne on ice on the island, and surprised both my fiancé and myself (after we took some photos with family on the island) with a golf cart to chauffeur us to the cave entrances for more photos. Our family that was present went back to the restaurant and when we returned from taking pictures, we found out that Melody set us and the family up in a private room at the restaurant as well! She went above and beyond for my fiancé and I at no extra cost and we can not thank her enough!

like to keep my review as succinct and fair as possible, so I’ll jump right in. The positive: The venue is beautiful. We were looking forward to an island ceremony with a mountainous background and moving to the indoor/open air reception area. The hotel would accommodate all our guests, allow us to gather for days at the pool, play sports, etc. Holding one wedding per day gave us piece of mind that we wouldn’t be fighting another couple for space or staff. When the pandemic hit, they were able to postpone our wedding to the summer of 2021 without penalty, which was appreciated. The negative: We had four wedding dates pulled from under our feet. Between the summers of 2020 and 2021 we would be deciding on a date, held for us, and then be told it was booked by another group. Throughout the process, we worked with seven different contacts at the venue, having to continually catch people up on our plans for the wedding date. There were consistent issues with hotel reservations; different rate quotes, wrong cards charged, reservations being moved without notice, and guests not being able to reach anyone to take a reservation. We reached our breaking point while working with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the complete lack of professionalism. Our emails went unanswered, we had to set up conference calls and reserve calendar time from our side, appointments weren’t held, flippant emails were fired off without any research, among other customer service concerns. In trying to reach the General Manager, Spencer Shaub, I phoned his office seven times but was never able to get past his assistant. He had no interest in speaking with us or working out our concerns. When employees at the Director and GM level have no interest in the customer experience, we were ready to walk away. A final positive or two; Although we were put in contact with so many different coordinators at the venue, they were sweet and did their best. Additionally, Sarah Hanson (GMs Executive Assistant), was kind enough to return phone calls and attempt to get interest from the General Manager. I appreciated her work at a very difficult time. If I chose to dig into the past 18 months, I could have written a multi-page negative review. In short, our experience left us exhausted by the process and dreading communication with the resort in any form. We wouldn’t want anyone’s experience to be ruined as ours was. I implore you to seek options elsewhere.
