I hate to leave a bad review for any business, but our experience with Kim was so bad and at times bizarre, that I have to shout this from the rooftops: STAY AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN!!...
! We hired Kim to plan our daughter's wedding in Quebec City. She quit via email the week of my daughter's wedding and was exceedingly unprofessional and uncommunicative throughout the planning process. Despite our best efforts to make things work, she continually fell short of our hopes and expectations. Kim refused phone calls and meetings, opting to send occasional texts and emails with only partially complete updates. She rarely did anything until we pressed her. She did not share up-to-date budgeting and planning docs with us throughout the planning process, even though we asked for them multiple times. When she finally agreed to meet with us to go through everything - less than six weeks before the wedding - she brought her husband to the meeting, whom we had never met and who does not work as a wedding planner!!??
On the upside, he brought budgeting and scheduling documents and proceeded to go through them with us. It was very strange, to say the least. I've also heard stories from Kim's other brides about how she had her husband sitting in the car waiting for her, with the car running, during their welcome party from which she left after 30 minutes.
When my daughter went to Quebec City for her trials, Kim had communicated very few of the specifics that had continually been requested by the couple - for instance, the floral designer put together test arrangements full of red roses when the one flower my daughter specifically told Kim she hated were red roses... its not that hard and the overall trip was not as productive as it could have been because so many basic changes needed to be made, which should have been handled by Kim.
Kim ended up quitting one week before the wedding via email, essentially calling my daughter and her fiance' disrespectful bridezillas. I was copied on emails throughout and they were nothing short of respectful, moreover, they gave Kim numerous opportunities to get her act together and to start doing the job she was hired to do.
I wish we had searched the internet more thoroughly before hiring Kim. She has abandoned countless brides on their wedding days, both before and after this wedding. She also has a history of being exceedingly over budget. My daughter and her husband were warned by another one of Kim's grooms that their wedding had been disappointing and grossly over budget. I wish they had heeded his warning.
We were able to pull the wedding together ourselves, but Kim never offered to refund us for her abandonment. I can only speak from our nightmare experience, but Kim is a fraud, not the visionary she tries to convey on her site. If you're planning a wedding in Quebec, I suggest you look elsewhere for a planner.

and had our wedding in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. She helped us navigate and coordinate booking and planning everything. She recommended some of her vendors which were excellent (lighting was Amazing! Flowers breath taking! Etc.) And she also worked very well with the others that we had selected (photographer and videographer).
She even flew to Montreal for uto go look at and test different table set ups and sent multiple photos to me since I couldn't be there.
She understood our vision, and made excellent recommendations. I trusted her and am happy we did.
She was also a good friend through this process. Many times did she call to check in on our progress, and it felt like she was simply calling to say hi and settle my anxiety and answer questions.
Is wedding planning easy and smooth? Of course not! But she clearly knows what she is doing and helped us achieve the wedding of our dreams.
Our family and friends have all told us that this was the most beautiful wedding they ever saw.
Kim is a wonderful person, a great businesswoman and has fantastic taste. I almost wish i could get married again just to have her organize another one.

ho could guide us to great vendors and most importantly coordinate the day of the wedding. Kim put on a great sales game assuring us that she knew all the right vendors and could execute flawlessly. Most importantly, that she would be there to coordinate in person along with two other assistants (this was in our contract). Throughout the process she was very reassuring and upbeat. Being a Quebec native, she knew the city very well and had a list of preferred vendors. For these reasons we felt very secure in hiring her. WHAT A MISTAKE. Starting from a few months out the red flags started to show. Taking days, sometimes weeks, to respond to emails and texts about timelines, vendors and budgets. When responses would come in, only some of our questions would be addressed and largely with a “yes” and a “wink face.” Often times she would misquote costs and forget major details of the budget. Just 3 months out from the wedding, she sent us a budget that was 45% over budget. Yes, you read that correctly. As much as 1 month out there were still major details that had not been solidified including, but not limited to rentals, catering and lighting. Details were left to the very last minute – up to 2 days before the ceremony. The wedding weekend arrived… Kim called me the morning of my wedding to say she would not be attending and that her assistant would take over. From that moment on everything was chaotic. The ceremony was delayed. Guests who were not able to attend the rehearsal were not given proper direction on where to line up. The bridal procession started 25 minutes late because the assistant didn’t know the run of show and failed to give the bride the cue to show up. The bridesmaids and groomsmen didn’t have enough seats in the front row.
During the cocktail hour, I spent my time directing the set-up of the reception room because Kim decided not show up and provide the other two assistants (plus her own replacement for not showing up) to facilitate the night. During the reception it was no different. I ended up coordinating with the DJ and caterer directly on when to play music, when speeches were to be given, and when to prep meal service. To think that after such a nightmare of an experience, Kim would have at least had the decency to call us to explain. We sent her a polite, but honest recap email of the night and decided we should discuss over a call. We had two scheduled calls of which she cancelled both times. Later, Kim sent me an email berating me and my husband, pointing the finger at everyone, but herself. She forgot to mention that all of the issues would never have occurred had she honored the contract that we signed for 3 day of wedding coordinators. We are incredibly disheartened by her lack of professionalism, accountability and integrity. It’s very clear to us now that Kim thought she would be able to get by from doing the bare minimum. Throughout this process we respected every deadline she gave us and delivered a clear vision for what we wanted, and the one thing we needed from her was simply support the day of our wedding. I hope no other bride has to go through this experience!

We were never sure if tasks had actually been taking care of and we were forced to resort to contacting the vendors directly in order to ensure that our wedding happened, and even incurred rush fees of several thousand dollars with some vendors because of Kim's carelessness. Moreover, we found out the week before our wedding that many of the necessary day-of vendors had not even been booked! Throughout the process, Kim told us that she was too busy to meet with us and was unresponsive to calls, texts and emails. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

soon as we decided to get married, we called Kim immediately and started to plan our wedding in our town. In mid-process, we changed our mind and went from planning a wedding of 150 people to a destination wedding in Mexico with 45 people only. It was a little scary at first because we didn't know if it was really possible but gosh, Kim made it all happened! She planned not only the wedding day but also all the group activities, dinners, etc for the entire week. On the morning of our wedding, we saw her value when we had to decide if we were doing our wedding on the beach as planned or inside because of the high chance of rain. Living in NYC, it would have been very difficult to plan a wedding out there without Kim's help. My husband & I work so much that we didn't want to have 10 000 options to choose from. She always found the best vendors matching exactly what we were looking for. Since it was, for both of us, our second wedding, we knew what we wanted and didn't want. ou dig up the terrible reviews on this woman. There are plenty of them on the various sites and I only wish that they had been posted before we had hired her as our planner. Perhaps something has happened, but her level of service seems to have really dropped off in the past two years. Based on our experience, unfortunately I would not wish her services on my worst enemy.
We hoped we were getting a wedding planner who would execute the wedding of our dreams and instead we were left with the things that nightmares are made of. She QUIT ONE WEEK BEFORE OUR WEDDING BY EMAIL and refused to refund us for many of the services that we had paid for but were not rendered, included day-of execution of the wedding. Additionally, we ended up having to do most of the planning for our big day because she was extremely inattentive, disorganized and a complete procrastinator.
Here are the biggest complaints that I have about her services, besides her quitting by email (who does that?!):
1. She refused to meet with us regularly, despite our requests
2. She waited until the last minute to provide quotes and to book vendors (like the week before!!!)
3. She did not keep track of a timeline for planning which resulted in us having to spend an extra $5,000 on our invitations
4. She does not research multiple vendors and provide adequate price comparisons, even when asked
5. She did not keep track of a budget. We had to ask for a budget for months on end and when it was finally delivered, it was a boilerplate budget with bogus prices. The amounts were not actual quotes from our selected vendors and many items were not even included.
6. She is unprofessional - disorganized, often late and does not respond to emails, calls or voicemails in a timely fashion
7. She lacks attention to detail which is essential for proper wedding planning
8. She is a poor communicator, who does very little listening. At our meetings and in our emails we heard a lot of oh yes, yes, yes. Then, when she would forget to take care of important details or fail to execute one of our requests, there would always be an excuse.
9. I would echo other reviewers complaints that she rushed important decisions
We should have been warned about her level of professionalism when she punctuated every sentence with an emoji, but judging by our experience, I can confidently say this woman did not give us anything to smile about. We felt utterly disappointed, if not scammed. I hope that no one will have to go through what we went through with KA Mariage.

challenge was that the room we had booked was an empty shell. Kim had assured us that, although she lived in New York, she would be present for all the main events (obviously the wedding and the simulation of the décor – since we paid for the full package). She had also assured us that we would always be getting multiple quotes before choosing a supplier. That was not what happened at all. Not only was she NOT PRESENT for our décor simulation, but she was not even present for our wedding !!! She never provided us with multiple quotes although we asked several times. She had assured us that we would be involved all the way and well in advance, but she waited until ONE MONTH before our wedding to send us estimates and quotes for most of the services. For example, we spoke in April for the décor. She only came back to us in August with the quote (and only one!). Being only one month in advance, we had to choose this supplier. As for the transport, the day before our wedding, we still didn’t have a limo – being told by her that none were available – I had to frantically call 21 places to finally book a limo for the following day. Thankfully the suppliers were better at their jobs then her. I would NOT recommend KA Mariage.

I didn't gave her a lot of details about the decoration on the table and in the reception room and I was amazed by the beauty of the place!!!! lly made our entire experience fun at all times. She's the kind of person who once you meet, you feel like you've known for many years. We hired her because of her stellar reviews on Google (especially around room décor), vast experience (has done over 200 weddings across multiple locations) and impressive background (Law Degree) – She exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Not only did my wife and I live in separate cities but we had very busy schedules so we needed a hands-on ‘quarterback’ to help us. Further, someone who could make the entire experience/process as "smooth" as possible was our top priority. Kim’s patience, empathy, advice and support were constant and sharp, particularly around:
Relationships and Organization – I’ve heard too many stories about wedding planners who are hard to get a hold of and who don’t respect their clients’ time. From the time we had our initial 1-hour consultation until the day of our wedding, Kim was punctual, delivered on each task ahead of schedule and continually kept us up-to-speed on what was outstanding and what we needed to get done. When our vendors fell behind on their deliverables, Kim assumed full accountability, which took the pressure off.
Vendors – Kim had close/credible relationships with many vendors in the area. She never once insisted we consider only 1 but instead provided multiple options, scheduled introductions and helped us make the best decisions based on her understanding of our needs. By taking the time to get to know us, she was very thoughtful around who she suggested (keeping us completely within our budget always with an eye on creating the best guest experience possible).
For all those people who think it’s best to save the money and do it on your own, trust me… Kim is worth every penny.

The key reasons why you get a wedding planner are: (1) Manage all the planning and stress (2) Follow a certain budget (3) Handle all the contractors and money (4) Handle all disasters and also everything that happens on the day of the wedding (5) Make sure your wedding is elegant and superb. SHE BLEW ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS BY FAR. She was superb!!!
3. She gave us a dropbox folder with details about each step of the way and how to organize our planning.
4. She provided multiple venues and she always took into consideration our taste (VERY IMPORTANT since you do not want someone to waste your time on places you will not like).
5. She always respected our budget and made sure we were not overspending.
6. Not only she planned our wedding but she also managed our stress all along the way.
7. *** we had our wedding venue cancelled 2 months before the wedding.*** She took care of everything to move all the ideas and contracts we had to a new venue.
8. We still hear a lot of amazing feedback from our guests about how elegant and amazing our wedding was. She truly did an amazing job and most importantly the wedding truly reflected who we are.
