Have been following Katie on Instagram for some time and the second I got engaged there was no one else I wanted for my wedding cake. She sat down with Luke and I to put together our perfect wedding cake and was so accommodating and creative. We went with four tiers and four different flavors because we just couldn't narrow them down, they were all so delicious. The sketches she sent me were stunning and while I was excited about a lot of things on my wedding day, seeing the final cake, tasting it, was probably in my top 5. Luke and I did our cake cutting and then just kept cutting tiers because each bite was better than the last. We've already decided to get anniversary cakes from her too. Cannot recommend enough, she brought all of my cake dreams to reality. People thought it was a fake cake it was so perfect and beautiful. Amazinggg.

My husband and I knew we wanted a classic, but special cake for our wedding. Katie absolutely blew every other cake vendor out of the water. We got to meet her beforehand for our tasting, which we received 6 flavors to try (she even made fall flavors because our wedding was in November). At first we wanted only 2 flavors, but the cake was so amazing, we ended up with 4 FLAVORS!!! (I highly recommend the pumpkin cake...so good). Katie was there on time to set up the cake and everything on the day of the wedding, so it was one less stress we had to worry about. The design was absolutely what we envisioned. I can't wait to have Katie make our 1 year anniversary cake :)

Very disappointed to not receive a bid (or even a response) a month after paying to do a tasting with Katie. We were told we would receive a sketch to begin the design process and a bid in the next week. While the cake was delicious, I feel this is very bad business. We will be moving forward with another vendor.

My husband and I had such a great experience with Katie! She went out of her way and made sure tht everything was taken care of! I was so down bc originally I thought I would have fresh floral arrangements and soon found out we would be using artificial flowers. Katie went out of her way to make sure tht fresh flowers still happened! This was a joy to walk into upon seeing my delicious cake! Katie also made sure everything was taken care of with the venue and I didn’t have one worry! I enjoyed her so much and would definitely work with her again!!

Katie was awesome! We met with her for our cake tasting and instantly felt taken care of and a priority even though we were purchasing a small cake & home made mallows (definitely recommended!). It was absolutely beautiful... she elevated our vision. We got some many compliments on both the design and taste (vanilla cake w/ raspberry filling & lemon curd). She even accommodated our request for edible penguin cake topper, and they were adorable! We were so thrilled we are going to request a cake top on our first anniversary.

Katie was amazing from the start! She had so many different options laid out at the tasting and helped my husband and I personalize each cake to fit our taste preferences. We used cakes as our centerpieces, so we were lucky enough to have 3 different types of Katie’s cakes. All of the flavors were delicious and the decorations were exactly what we envisioned. The guests loved them!

What can we say except.....THANK YOU! Kaked by Katie was by far one of our favorite wedding vendors to work with! Katie was INCREDIBLE and our wedding cake was far more than we could have ever imagined! Katie was so accommodating through this entire process, and our cake is still being talked about from our guests (6 weeks later). The cake looked amazing, however it tasted even better! Absolutely the most perfect wedding cake ever. Katie was so wonderful to work with and brought our vision to life. The design was breathtaking (literal tears when I first saw it) but THE CAKE... hands down the best wedding cake we've ever had. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how good it was. I'm so glad we had cake left over so we can still enjoy it a few days after our wedding. She is so easy to work with and so darn talented. We're so happy we went with Kaked by Katie.

Katie is the best! Her designs are so elegant, creative, and was exactly what my daughter envisioned and more for her wedding cake. Her designs are a true work of art. Such skill and talent in all that she does. Katie also made the boxed truffles for the wedding and I'm still wanting more they were so moist and delicious. We've gotten so many compliments on the cake design as well as the moist cake and creamy filling. I started my wedding cake search with very high expectations as I have been decorating cakes myself for almost 30 years. I had big dreams, I wanted a cake that had the most beautiful sugar flowers. A four tier cake with sugar flowers very similar to a Sylvia Wienstock cake that is in a book of her cakes on my coffee table. I love her work! Who could do this for me here in MO? Well, Katie did! I am located in mid-MO and I found Katie here on The Knot. I am so glad I did. I went for a tasting and to talk with her and knew she was the one to make my cake dream come true. She also took on a surprise grooms cake. A four tiered cake, with the lemon filling being the biggest hit of the three flavors I chose, was gorgeous! The sugar flowers had the most incredible detail. Peonies, roses, calla lilies, and so many others. Katie is an artist and made this cake from the heart. She delivered the cake from St. Louis to our reception south of Columbia. The service and expertise she provides is outstanding. Contact her to make your dream cake too!

During our tasting, Katie took the time to get to know us as a couple, our wedding vision, and our story. She drafted up a couple rounds of designs. On the big day, we were overjoyed with how the cake turned out. Our guests have been raving about how they'd never seen such a unique, special cake and everyone said it also tasted delicious! Words can not express how amazing Katie is. We found her amazing work through Instagram and knew she had to be he one that made our wedding cake. She was so easy to work with. We went in for our one and only cake testing and instantly sealed the deal. It was like she knew our vision. The wedding cake was delivered on the day of and let us say, we were taken by surprise. It was even more beautiful than we expected. The blue and gold was beautiful and the peony sugar flower was amazing. Katie is so talented and sweet. We highly recommend Kaked by Katie!

I found Katie though instagram, and loved her style from the first look. I didn't give her much direction for the Groom's cake for my wedding, besides having a Cardinals theme for my husband, and she ran with that simple suggestion and made the most beautiful groom's cake I've ever seen. She made a chocolate cake with a salted caramel buttercream frosting that complimented the cracker jacks she had put on the cake for decoration. My guests raved on how wonderful it was! I ate two pieces myself. She is easy to contact and made it easy on me (the bride) to have one less thing to worry about! We will definitely be returning customers!

I had a particular aesthetic and wanted only buttercream (no fondant), but love the look of fondant cakes. I also cared deeply about having a cake that tastes as good as it looks. Katie delivered all we could have hoped for. I didn't actually get to eat cake on our wedding night, so my mom froze a couple of pieces for us to eat two weeks after. If it's any indication how delicious her cake is, I ate two slices in one sitting and they were two weeks old. We got the chocolate with salted carmel icing and a vanilla with raspberry - both were to die for. And it was a knock-out cake visually. Thank yo, Katie!!!

I would highly recommend Kaked by Katie for any occasion, not just weddings. I have had Katie design our wedding cake, and a few birthday cakes as well. She not only listens to what you want, but you can trust her to implement her professional and creative opinion as well. Throughout the whole process she was easy to work with and very accommodating. Our guests still rave about the presentation of the cake, and how it tasted as well!

Where do I start? Katie designed the most incredible three-tiered cake for our “camp” themed wedding. She perfectly morphed our vision into reality and it turned out to be honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen! We had her make our wedding cake with a birch bark base (with our initials “carved” in the tree) and then it faded into a semi-naked cake covered in gorgeous flowers that our florist left for Katie to finish her design. We also had Katie make a small cake for us to bring out to both of our moms for their birthdays—everything was delicious. Katie was a complete pleasure to work with from beginning to end and is obviously well respected by other wedding vendors (our florist, wedding planner and videographer were ecstatic when they heard we were using Katie). It was so hard to pick one type of cake to go with because all of her flavors are so delicious! Don’t look any further, Katie is your girl!

We were undecided about what we wanted our cake to look like but knew the direction we wanted to go in. We trusted Katie and her artistic ability - I didn't even ask to see a sketch before hand. Katie's work is indescribably beautiful. I fell in love with her cakes on Instagram and knew that I had to have her create my wedding cake. She made our dreams come to life and it was even more perfect than we could've imagined. Katie also helped me surprise my fiancé with a grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner and we are still getting compliments on it! Aside from how talented she is designing them, the taste is just as amazing. Katie is the sweetest and so easy to work with. She made this part of wedding planning so much fun and stress free and I couldn't recommend her enough!

How many of you would trust a stranger on an airplane to recommend who to use for your wedding cake? That's exactly how this beautiful relationship began. My fiancé at the time and I were traveling to Vegas and in the aisle seat sat a man who was traveling alone for business. At the end of the flight, I pull out my earbuds and my fiancé introduces me to Josh. Josh says "hey, congrats on your engagement...if you need someone to do your wedding cake, my wife does a pretty good job" - and he wrote "Kaked by Katie" on a post-it. I used it as a bookmark, and later it ended up in a desk drawer... I remembered this when it came time to search for a bakery, and I was OBSESSED by what I saw in Katie's insta gallery. Come to find out, Katie was moving into a brick and mortar store, but we had our first initial cake tasting out of their home. Katie could not have been more welcoming. There was something so engaging about her, and we just clicked. I knew based on her warm personality, we were in good hands. Her ability to master any flavor combination with cake and icing and filling, along with her conversational skills to break it down in normal terms how she masters flavor combos so no taste or texture is too overwhelming, was exactly what my husband and I needed in order to make a very complicated decision. By the time we were ready to execute the design of the cake, Katie was running her business out of her shop, which is the most dreamy spot with an open kitchen and a retro-esque lounge where you can come in and "talk cake." Katie was able to emulate the design and colors of our décor into the cake, down to the milkglass vases we had as table centerpieces. On our wedding day, Katie delivered the cake in person to our reception venue and requested that our florist leave some fresh flowers to use for accents on our cake - which was perfect,because we were using my grandpa's zinnias from his garden (among other flowers our florist used) as an homage. Katie being willing to use them as another special feature and incorporating them into the cake was just another special detail for us. And finally, our groom's cake was the CUTEST. It was a basic round cake with a chocolate inside and a white icing that was peanut butter flavor complete with a fondant German Shepherd on the top that she designed to replicate our dog child, Greta. Katie nailed every element and I only wish that we could make our wedding an annual affair. She was so fun to work with and is the best in the business. She can do anything you ask, and your wedding cake will be beyond tasteful, tasty, and perfect <3 It make for some of your most fun and beautiful wedding photos and memories too :)

We couldn't have been more honored than to have Katie bring our dream cake to life! Katie was beyond amazing to work with & made the whole process so easy! The cake in itself was absolutely beautiful & delicious. We received so many compliments on how great it tasted & I think the fact that we only left with the top tier & a small sliver (when we over ordered) speaks for itself.

After our cake tasting we knew she was going to make our dream wedding cake. Not only are her cakes stunning to look about but are insanely delicious. I couldn't have been more thrilled with the work that Katie did for me! Planning our wedding cake was so much fun with Katie. This was my mom's favorite part of the planning process and Katie was the only person who my mom was truly impressed with. Katie's love for her craft truly shines through in her attention to detail and creative designs but the flavor is just as memorable. We still have guests talking about it! They will never know that Katie made one flavor vegan (shhhhh..) and the good thing is, no one could tell! I can't wait to use Katie again for birthdays and special occasions. I'm so happy we met!

I used Katie for my wedding cake and my cake was one of the best parts about my wedding. She took my vision and made it into a reality - it was perfect. But the cake itself? AMAZING. I think the cake tasting was my husband's favorite part of the entire wedding planning process :) I could eat the almond cake all day everyday and never get sick of it. Artistically crafted. 2)just when you think cake couldn't get any better because of the artistry...then you take a bite and...OH. MY. STARS. I wish I could post a picture of my husband and the look on his face the first time he put a bite of one of Katies cakes in his mouth. And he doesn't really like cake. At least he didn't before! 3) working with Katie is the best. Events are high stress situations. Katie is a pro. You just know you are in good hands with her. She always delivers flawlessly. I've worked with others who have not. Trust me when I tell you how critical this is for a wedding. 4) Katie is so versatile. If you have a vision...she will make it better than you could imagine. Katie's cakes are amazing! Not only are they beautiful works of art, she's always spot on with the flavors. So good wish I had one now! She is very passionate and loves to wow people. Wedding planning really wasn't my strong suit. There were only a few things I really cared about. The dress, the cake, and the music were at the top of my list. I was very fortunate to find the perfect cake. I had my bridal shower cake and also my wedding cake made by Katie. I really didn't give much information on what I wanted. I mainly suggested the flavor and I was taken away with the detail and how beautiful each cake turned out. The wedding cake was a traditional white and chocolate cake. It tasted amazing. We actually ate some of our frozen wedding cake a year later on our anniversary and it was wonderful. Our wedding was in Effingham IL, and Katie delivered and set up the cake at our convenience. My family loves Katie's cakes and we have had them at two other weddings since mine. Please consider Kaked by Katie when picking out your one of a kind wedding cake.

Kaked by Katie went about & beyond my expectations. Katie brought my dream cake I had envisioned for many years to life... Our cake sat 7 tiers tall & front & center in The Coronado Ballroom surrendered in 23 karat real gold. My biggest request to our staff, was to not take back the cake to be cut until the very last second. It was truly a work of art, and it deserved to sit in all of it's glory. Our cake was PERFECT in every aspect. I HIGHLY recommended Kaked by Katie and have to many friends and family. If you have high exceptions & have a vision Katie will make your dream cake come true.

Kaked By Katie did an amazing job. I know a lot of her cake are over the top, standout, and elegant; I was looking for something a little more simple and of course she does that too! It was everything I was looking for. Along with the look the taste was better than any local bakery. I have had numerous guest asking where the cake was from because they have never tasted icing so delicious. Finally Katie really took the time for my mom and I to test the cakes, she responded to every email in a very timely manner and even helped me find my cake topper. It was a one stop shop for sure. I highly recommend shopping local and I'll save you trips around town. Kaked by Katie is the only one you need to go to.
