She had planned a number of smaller events before she began her internship at The Monte Cristo Ballroom and became a full time planner. A shout out to K&L as a business is that they offer any rentals you could possibly need, we used them for a Photo Booth which was a huge hit with everyone and also an audio guestbook so that we can hear people’s messages to us. Also the process from the reaching out to them to the day of was top notch guest service. I would recommend them to anyone for an event!

What really sets Erica apart is her attention to detail and her ability to think on her feet. There were a few unexpected hiccups on the day of the wedding, but Erica handled them all with grace and poise, and I never would have known anything was amiss if she hadn't told me afterwards. Our florist sent an assistant who was not only late, but was inadequate. Erica stepped in and set up and decorated pretty much the ENTIRE reception area while our "florist" was still setting up the arbor an hour before our wedding.
I can't recommend Erica enough. She truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day the best it could possibly be, and I'm so grateful to have had her by our side throughout the process. If you're in need of a wedding coordinator, look no further - Erica is THE BEST.

Our wedding involved turning a working farm into a wedding venue for a day which included working with fourteen vendors and everything from furniture to portable toilets being brought in. There were a lot of details! When we did our site visit with Story, any hesitations were immediately gone. Erica set up decor according to our layout, ensured that the timeline was followed (we never had to worry about what comes next or things getting done as Erica made everything happen seamlessly), and was a HUGE help cleaning up at the end of the night (taking down all decor, dividing rental items and personal decor items and then loading the assigned rental and decor items into each of our parents cars, and putting our personal items in our town car when it arrived. Our day was stress free and the way we imaged thanks to Erica. I cannot recommend her enough!

She took care of managing all vendors, making sure they had the most up to date timelines. Made sure everyone knew where they were supposed to be and what time they needed to arrive. There was a mishap with our caterers showing up later than originally expected. Immediately, she stepped up and helped get the linens in place so the florists could continue to set up on time.
We could not have imagined this day without her! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and at ease. She gave me words of encouragement before walking down the aisle as she could tell I was nervous! Story did everything in her power to make sure everything went smoothly and we are so so so thankful to her for all that she did for us on our wedding day.

Her magic started with the venue walk-through (included with day-of coordination package). I invited all of the third party vendors. She checked in with all of them and got them aligned with who was doing what and where. After the venue walk-through, she made sure I not only knew what extra things I might want to provide for the big day, but also why they were important. Story was immediately responsive whenever I messaged her with a question, and even messaged me a hand-drawn map of the venue when I realized I forgot how the buffet, band, cocktail tables, portable bathrooms etc. were supposed to be arranged.
The day of the wedding, she helped my bridesmaids get everything ready and there was zero stress since she knew exactly what needed to be done. I did all the planning and logistics for the big day myself, but she was able to replace me completely on the day of, since she's so tuned in. I literally sat on the couch with my mom snacking on chocolate in the hours before my wedding, and the day was SO much better because we could relax a bit. Stacey also has a magic bag of emergency items which came in handy before the wedding (extra pins)!
As for the wedding itself, Story continued to be amazing. When I forgot a key item DURING the processional, Story flew at what seemed like the speed of light to retrieve it for me so the processional wasn’t even delayed. Then when my husband and I were busy during cocktail hour, she made sure to bring us the appetizers so we got to eat, too. She also made sure I always had a drink if I wanted one. This was on top of making sure that everything was flowing smoothly with the vendors and guests.
After the event, she was instrumental in getting everything put away and handed off to whoever needed it. We had minimal extra clean-up after the event, which was GREAT because no one wants to be cleaning up at midnight in their wedding dress.
In addition, we rented some décor from K&L Events and it was a great choice. It was cheaper than buying it and it was stylish. Plus, your coordinator will take all the rented decor with them at the end of the night so you don't have to worry about it!
