Kangaroo Kitchen was amazing to work with and we are STILL getting compliments about the food! The Rosemary Brisket (I believe) was to die for and for our vegan/veg/GF/DF guests I got nothing but "best vegan food I have ever had at a wedding". Not planning on ever having another wedding in my lifetime but I would hire them again for sure.

Kangaroo Kitchen catered our wedding at The High Five GR, and it was absolutely spectacular! All the guests raved about the food, and having allergy-friendly options made it so that everyone could enjoy. The vegan mexican lasagna was amazing. We found that Kangaroo Kitchen were very easy to work with, and we really appreciated that their staff kept coming to our sweetheart table to make sure that we were getting enough food.

We found Kangaroo Kitchen through the preferred list for our venue Record Box Loft in Battle Creek, MI. Our venue raved about their food and their team and we can see why. The team was so flexible with us from the beginning, as we were planning a wedding outside of the state of Michigan. They met our needs for a tasting and truly gave us such an individualized experience. The team was always efficient with answering our questions. In terms of the food…WOW! Most of the guests raved about the food being the best that they have ever had! We definitely recommend the beef brisket! We had so many guests go up for seconds. The team also came to check on us during dinner which was so nice! They also packed up all the leftover food for us at the end of the night. I truly recommend using Kangaroo Kitchen for any catering needs.

Kangaroo Kitchen catered our March wedding and the entire process was seamless from start to finish! When we booked our venue, I was excited to see Kangaroo on their catering list and knew we wanted to book them since they have a fantastic reputation and are very reasonably priced compared to other caterers in the area. They definitely lived up to their reputation and exceeded expectations! From our tasting to the day of our wedding, Ashley and Roman were both fantastic to work with, professional, and extremely organized. Their staff is amazing as well and I got so many compliments from my guests on the service and the quality of the food. Our lead server the day of, Michelle, and Chef Josh were fantastic during dinner service and made sure everything was running smoothly. They also do a great job accommodating allergies and dietary restrictions. Thank you!

Kangaroo did an amazing job with the food for our daughter's wedding. We have GF family members on both sides, and they have great options that everyone loved. Several people commented that "it was the best wedding meal I have ever had". Their communication and professionalism was appreciated, and we trusted them through the entire process.

My daughter chose Kangaroo Kitchen to cater her wedding! Ashley was great to work with! We are a foody family, so our dinner did not disappoint! The sweet potato salad was so yummy and the beef brisket was amazing! The staff did a wonderful job of serving and clearing! I would highly recommend them!

First, the good: Kangaroo was awesome in many ways. They were responsive, detail oriented, and helpful during the planning process. The apps at our cocktail hour were delicious and the service was good throughout the night. Our tasting was amazing. The bad: When it came to the actual dinner at our wedding, we were pretty disappointed. The portions were much smaller, the plating less attractive, and the taste was average compared to the awesome tasting. Some things about the dishes had definitely been changed for the worse. Additionally, the vendors working at cocktail hour were NOT well-versed in dietary restrictions and allergies. I am gluten free, and no one I asked on the waitstaff could not tell me which passed apps I could eat, even though my husband and I had intentionally picked out multiple GF options. The staff just kept repeating that things were vegetarian, which clearly wasn't helpful. It seems like all of the staff need better training on dietary restrictions. (During planning, a staff member also tried to remove the cheese on everyone's salads for those people who picked the vegetarian entree, assuming everyone was vegan just because they wanted the option without meat). After hearing many wonderful things about Kangaroo, we were pretty disappointed after the big day. Hopefully it was just a fluke for us.

Kangaroo Kitchen did a FABULOUS job with our wedding at the Cheney Place. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff is very knowledgeable about allergens, which coming from a food & beverage background, was very important to me. We received compliments all night long and after the wedding. We had around 175 guests, and with two buffet lines, all guests were fed within 20 minutes which was amazing. Logistically, the team was easy to work with, and all fees were well laid out within the estimate and final bill, and nothing was hidden. I'd highly recommend Kangaroo Kitchen for any event!

Honestly, it’s hard to imagine better catered food. We were receiving compliments on the food up to three months after the wedding! The dishes were thoughtfully constructed and prepared to perfection. Whether the hors d'oeuvres, salad (the freekeh & sweet potato salad was phenomenal), or main dishes, everything was exquisite. We also had quite a few guests with dietary restrictions, and the team cared for each of them. Given our wedding was in February, we wanted to add a hot cocoa bar, and Kangaroo Kitchen delivered. And as an added bonus, Roman (the owner and chef) is absolutely wonderful to work with. Our flight into town for our initial tasting was canceled, and he was easily able to accommodate us. Additionally, during the reception he came out to say congratulations and also chat with our parents (which they loved)!

Chef Roman, Ashley and the whole team - how can I say thank you enough? We took one bite of our wedding dinner and immediately had bridal party on both sides of the head table tapping us to saying, "Holy crap, this is the best wedding food ever!" They were not trying to flatter us; our friends are very honest hahaha. Everything was SO delicious, and beyond that you are the nicest team. Ashley was SO incredibly communicative the entire planning process and as a verified "Type A/perfectionist" bride I appreciated her never-ending patience with all of my questions. It felt like she was truly as excited for our big day as we were! Roman, when you came to ask us how our dinner was that night and wish us well it meant a lot to us. Seriously, this is the catering dream team!

The best catering company! I went into the tasting for my wedding with a pretty “eh” attitude about the food - like if there’s food there then cool. But after the tasting and all the detailed planning with Ashley, I couldn’t WAIT to have the food again! It was the best food and we had sooo many compliments on it from our wedding guests. The company was fantastic with communication throughout the whole process and really helped our planning process go smoothly. The chef made a point to talk to my husband & I at the reception and make sure everything was great, which we appreciated. The staff also did really well at getting everyone through the buffet line in a timely manner. As a bonus - they were one of the more affordable catering companies I found while researching catering for the wedding, especially for the caliber of food you get.

I wanted to reach out and let you know that Kangaroo Kitchen and staff did an excellent job at our Wedding at the Rutledge. So many guests made a point to let me know how outstanding the food was, some even said it was the best beef tenderloin they ever had. A special thanks to the Chef for making a tomato soup for one of our guests - it was a huge hit and she absolutely loved it.

Best catering company by far!! We used Kangaroo for our wedding and they were truly incredible from start to finish. First of all, the food was absolutely delicious, we are still getting compliments daily on how good everything was! Their staff was amazing to work with, they were great at communicating, the tasting prior to our wedding was so much fun and very informative and of course the day of the staff and food was amazing. I really appreciated Ashley staying in touch with us the week leading up to make sure all of our questions were answered, during the whole process she handled all of our questions and requests so efficiently. Hiring Kangaroo for our wedding was 100% the best decision we made, you (and your guests) will NOT be disappointed!

Working with Roman and Kangaroo Kitchen was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We were one of the many couples who had to reschedule (twice) due to Covid, and Roman and his team were understanding, empathetic and organized throughout the whole process. From the tasting experience to the feedback we got from our guests, the food was better than any wedding food we've ever had. You could taste the freshness with every bite and everyone couldn't stop raving about it! They offered unique options that we really appreciated and so did our guests. We'd make the choice over and over again.

We used Kangaroo Kitchen for my daughter's wedding and heard over and over from guests that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. The staff was wonderful to work with, thinking through all the details (including accommodating our special request for plant based options), they worked closely with our venue (New Vintage Place) and the serving staff was great! We had a little glitch at the end of the evening, where the staff didn't leave us the leftover food off the buffet table, and Chef Roman graciously made good on that by offering a partial refund or providing a meal for our family which we loved! We highly recommend Kangaroo Kitchen!

Kangaroo did an EXCELLENT job catering our wedding. We had a major snow storm, but they arrived on time and were flexible with our somewhat delayed schedule. They were very professional and kind to our guests. The food was absolutely delicious. I can't even tally the number of guests who raved about our food.

The best of the best! We had the pleasure of working with Kangaroo Kitchen for over 2 years because we delayed our wedding due to the pandemic. They were kind, communicative, and supportive throughout the whole process. Chef Roman made the tasting process so fun and special, and they have so much experience that they helped with much of the planning and logistics. All of their food was so interesting, exciting, beautiful, and delicious! So many little touches too, like packing up some food at the end of the night to making sure the bride and groom had a plate of appetizers when we sat down for our meal. We were so well taken care of and couldn’t recommend Kangaroo Kitchen more!

Absolutely incredible! Port393 has a set list of preferred caterers and we tried them all - not a single one even compared to how amazing Kangaroo Kitchen is. From their customer service all the way to their food, everything they do is above and beyond. Chef Roman helped us create a unique duet plated dinner and an appetizer to entertain our desire to have a Caesar salad incorporated into the menu. Ashley was awesome as well, always quick to respond to emails and helped finalize all necessary details. Their menu is amazing and is so different than your standard banquet food! All of our guests raved about the hors d’oeuvres and dinner. My recommendation, don’t waste your time doing tastings with any other caterer, Kangaroo Kitchen is it!

Kangaroo Kitchen, especially Chef Roman, was an absolute DREAM to work with! We cannot recommend them enough. Our guests have been talking about the food for a month afterwards and won't stop anytime soon because it was AMAZING! It's so much more delicious than the ordinary wedding food. Also, they were very communicative, kind, and easy to work with throughout the entire wedding process!

I honestly can't write a grand enough review to express my feelings for Kangaroo Kitchen. They were beyond amazing in every aspect.The food is so flavorful, unique and truly a culinary experience. Guests raved about the food and I heard many times it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Beyond the food being amazing, Chef Roman and his staff were very kind, accommodating and a joy to work it. Best decision we could have made!

We truly cannot recommend Kangaroo Kitchen enough. The food was AMAZING! We heard compliments all night long! Roman & his team were absolutely incredible throughout every single step of the planning process. We booked Kangaroo Kitchen in early 2019 for our December 2020 wedding. Unfortunately with COVID we had to postpone and luckily were able to rebook with Kangaroo Kitchen for NYE 2021. Roman and Ashley made the entire date change process easy and helped with every bit of the re-planning as needed. They go above and beyond to make sure your timeline is perfect on your day which makes everything run smoothly! Our catering team the night of our wedding was also just amazing. They moved our guests quickly through the food line and there was plenty of time for people to grab seconds if they wanted! The appetizers were DELICIOUS and everyone is still talking about how delicious the tacos were. Also, you know the food is amazing when all three kids cleaned their plate from their special chicken and rice, too! We so appreciated how much time and effort was put in to making sure the menu & each dish was prepared safely and in mind of our allergies. We have 8/9 top allergens among just the two of us & it’s rare my husband and I can go anywhere and eat safely. Roman put our minds at ease throughout everything starting on day one! We truly have nothing but the absolute best things to say about Roman, Ashley, and Kangaroo Kitchen! Our night would not have been the same without them and their staff! There is really no debate on the greatest caterer in the area- Kangaroo Kitchen is it.

Would absolutely recommend Kangaroo Kitchen for your wedding! They catered our cocktail hour and our plated dinner for our wedding reception. Roman and Ashley were an absolute dream to work with. We had plenty of servers on our wedding day and Roman was our head chef. The food was incredible and our guests continue to compliment us on it. He even personally came out to check with my now husband and I to make sure everything tasted well and then asked us to point out our parents so that he could check in with them as well. It was incredible the quality, care, and detail they take in their dinner service for weddings. Everything was incredible from communication to service and Roman was extremely transparent with pricing as well. You knew everything you were paying for and he even recommended the best order of when to have people speaking for toasts so food wasn't cold or guests weren't "hangry". Would absolutely recommend Kangaroo Kitchen!

We are so happy to have worked with Kangaroo Kitchen for our wedding in August. The food was absolutely delicious, several guests made comments to us about it. They were also very easy to work with and very accommodating, we didn't have to worry about anything. We would highly recommend!

We highly recommend kangaroo kitchen! We had them cater the dinner and appetizers for our wedding, all of which were amazing! They were also so attentive- during dinner, they brought my husband and I a plate of appetizers because we had been gone during cocktail hour and didn’t get to have any. We also had multiple workers, including the head chef, check in with us about how we liked our food- which was absolutely delicious! Not only did my husband and I love the food, but we had multiple guests comment about how good it was too. Not only that but, the staff at kangaroo kitchen were great to work with. They were always kind and answered emails in a very timely manner. They were also very flexible, which we greatly appreciated given the rise in covid cases causing us to have some guests drop out last minute. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

All I can say is all our guest keep telling us is that the food was the best they have ever eaten at a wedding before. We couldn't agree more. We had to reschedule our wedding 3 times and move venues due to COVID and Roman and team were with us every step of the way. Chef Roman is extremely throughough and detailed, which was a dream because I never felt like I had to ask for more clarity on everything. His team offers up some of the most unique dishes I have ever seen and made our wedding menu exciting to plan. Day of his team was timely, professional and friendly. Their service and presentation was exceptional and they did not miss a beat. They had to work out of a small hut of a barn and you couldn't even tell. Our food felt like it came right out of the oven, the brisket fell apart the second your fork touched it. The salad was so fresh and vibrant and I will be dreaming about the potatoes for the next year. I would have went up for a full second plate if I didn't think my dress was going to split open if I did. My biggest concern at our wedding is that the guest wouldn't like the food. I can tell you, you wont have that problem if you hire Kangaroo Kitchen. There was a reason that every venue we toured recommended them!

What a fantastic meal at my daughters wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect. People were texting me compliments two minutes into dinner and now a week later we are still having people tell us how wonderful everything was. Thank you!

Amazing!! Chef Roman, Ashley, and staff are the BEST! Our daughter's wedding was rescheduled 4 times and each time, we called Roman first to make sure he was available before committing to a date. The wedding ended up taking place at our home due to COVID, and Chef Roman and his staff made it happen. He was so easy to work with and the food selections were exceptional. Our guests continue to compliment the service and delicious food. Thank you Kangaroo Kitchen for going above and beyond and making our daughters wedding a memorable event!

We were so thankful Chef Roman and his team worked with us to provide boxed dinners for a small celebration after our original wedding was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. We had a wonderful time celebrating and everyone RAVED about the food. So, so tasty!!! Although we wish we could have shared the delicious food with our original 200-person guest list, at least we got to share it with our closest family and friends. We are so grateful for Kangaroo Kitchen's flexibility and understanding during these difficult times.

We used Kangaroo Kitchen for our micro wedding in January 2021. Everyone LOVED the food and was very impressed. We really appreciated the individualized containers and that it was much easier for our guests to choose to eat at our reception or bring their food home if they felt more comfortable doing so during COVID. Our guests even raved about their leftovers, which I think says a lot about food when it's still amazing the day after. We appreciated their efforts to work around all of the COVID restrictions to still make our wedding reception as enjoyable and as 'normal' as possible.

I don’t know how to gush about their food and service enough. I wanted something different and they were recommended but I was worried about my picky eaters. Not one person, picky eaters included, didn’t rave about the food. They all loved it.

Chef Roman was such a delight to work with! Even amongst the craziest of Covid times he helped us with every question and concern. The food was INCREDIBLE! It was delicious, and at the appropriate temperature (salads were cold and crisp dinner was hot). Numerous guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and I couldn’t agree more. Guests still talk about it to this day!

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Kangaroo Kitchen and Catering. The food was out of this world and our guests at our wedding could not stop telling us how amazing dinner was! We wished we had purchased extras for us to take home! Roman was so professional. We originally planned on having them serve the tables but with covid restrictions, switched to boxed dinners and the presentation was stunning, they wrapped the boxes in beautiful ribbon and greenery! We don't have any regrets hiring Kangaroo Kitchen for our wedding reception. Even though our plans changed and we needed to downsize our guest list from 120 guests to 20 guests due to COVID, Kangaroo Kitchen worked with us every step of the way and prepared amazing food! Their selections are so unique and everything is beautifully plated.

My wife and I honestly get emotional when we think of the service that Roman and his team at Kangaroo Kitchen provided to us leading up to our wedding and at the event itself. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and once you throw a pandemic into the mix it feels downright impossible. But Roman truly took all of our stress away when it came to the food. We were thrown many logistical challenges with changing venues, guest count restrictions, and onsite serving personnel, yet Roman so easily rolled with the punches and offered support and adjustments along the way. We spoke with Roman and Ashley almost daily during the week before the wedding and their care and attention to detail was genuine, thoughtful, and thorough. Kangaroo Kitchen set up a beautiful display at our hors d'oeuvres station and buffet tables and our guests literally could not stop talking about the food. They went out of their way to tell us that this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. We still run into guests who celebrated with us and the first thing they mention is how amazing the food was. There truly aren't words to express the gratitude we have for Roman, Ashley, and the rest of the Kangaroo Kitchen team for everything they did for us on the best day of our lives. To say we recommend them would be a monumental understatement. Thank you so incredibly much for the EXCELLENCE you served this past weekend. We can't wait to work with you again!!

I could not be more grateful we decided to hire Kangaroo Kitchen to cater our wedding. The food is phenomenal, as we heard from many of our guests. It is seasonal, interesting, healthy and colorful. Roman also caters exceptionally well to dietary restrictions. Aside from fabulous food, the catering staff was all so kind and made sure everyone had a great time and plenty to eat. The highlight, though, is getting to work with Roman, the owner and chef. Through many COVID-related changes, he was flexible, empathetic, knowledgable, and went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was safe for our guests.

We will be getting married in 2022 and with COVID forcing us to be working limited hours, we took advantage of picking our caterer early. We tried a handful of caterers in Grand Rapids and Kangaroo Kitchen won by a landslide. Our wedding venue, Port393 in Holland, gave us the recommendation to Kangaroo Kitchen as being one of their favorites. We scheduled our tasting and just meeting with Chef Roman I understood why! Him and his team are flexible with impeccable customer service, have the most unique menu, and food that is beyond incredible. If you want an elegant dinner that exceeds expectations while giving your guests a menu extremely better than your “typical wedding food” then kangaroo kitchen is the way to go! We cannot wait to blow our guests away with the menu we selected!

Due to COVID-19 we had to move our wedding date up and switch venues to accommodate an outdoor wedding, meaning we had to find a new caterer at the last minute. Chef Roman worked with us to make it all happen, within current COVID restrictions. Not only was KKC easy to work with and extremely reasonably priced, the food was AMAZING. Everyone commented how great everything tasted at our wedding and marveled that there wasn't a single item in the buffet line they didn't thoroughly enjoy. Chef Roman even set aside some appetizers for the groom and bride since we were too busy greeting people to get it ourselves. What a great experience all around :)

As anyone trying to plan a wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic can attest, things change. Regardless of how many times my husband and I changed our date (three, but who’s counting?), Chef Roman clearly communicated our options and worked with us every step of the way. He made us feel so confident and comfortable in our caterer choice with every correspondence, striking the right balance of professional and empathetic. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to keep Kangaroo Kitchen as our caterer when we had to completely change venues due to scheduling and preferred vendor rules, but we did have our tasting and everything was so delicious and beautiful. I would recommend Kangaroo Kitchen with my whole heart.

Crazy times! Changed dates, changed numbers, changed venues…but the bride and groom did not change their minds. Due to Covid we were forced to downsize a wedding and move it outdoors. We had planned on using Kangaroo Kitchen to cater our reception. Due to having to hold the wedding outdoors we moved the date up from October to September. Chef Roman was booked on the new date but worked hard to be able to cater our rehearsal dinner (also outside). He provided the same unique food choices the bride and groom had sampled at their tasting. We were treated like VIPs even though we downsized from the original venue and guest count. The food was served as a plated dinner in two stages: earlier for family and the wedding party then later for friends. The servers were friendly, flexible and professional. The food was warm and soooooo delicious. We are very fortunate and appreciative to have been able to enjoy such an amazing evening. Chef Roman was a positive, calm, miracle worker. I cannot tell you how many times he reassured us all would be well. I highly recommend Kangaroo Kitchen. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Kangaroo Kitchen's food and service was the highlight of our wedding hands down. We received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was. Chef Roman is so easy to work with, very responsive and even helped accommodate a gluten free meal for my grandpa with Celiacs disease. I could not recommend this company more!!

We could not have been happier with our Kangaroo Kitchen catering order! We absolutely loved each dish. We had a small amount of left-overs not because the portions were small, but because everyone enjoyed the food so much. Whatever we did have left over, we packed in Tupperware & brought it on our honeymoon; we ate it for 3-4 meals in a row, that’s how much we enjoyed it! Multiple times following our wedding, I’ve heard myself say, “I wish he had a restaurant that I could go to every time I was in Grand Rapids.” The heating instructions were perfect, very clear & easy for us to reheat & serve. We would choose Kangaroo Kitchen over & over again, & we would HIGHLY recommend you to anyone.

Kangaroo Kitchen catered our wedding in February and I cannot recommend them enough! The food presentation is so beautiful and it tastes out of this world. We had vegan and non vegan dishes and all our of guests loved it. Communication leading up to our event couldn't have been better and during our reception the staff continuously checked on me to make sure I had everything I needed. Seriously the best wedding food I've ever had!

From the menu options, you are drawn in....everything sounds so amazing...how do you choose what to taste and order for an event. The tasting was unbelievable. The presentation was beautiful and the taste of each item was perfectly balanced. I took home the left overs and ate them the next day and they were still so tasty. The wedding day buffet did not disappoint. Everyone raved about the food and the presentation...we served vegan appetizers and I think we may have converted a few to plant based :-). We had a number of plant base meals server to the table and those served couldn't stop raving about how delicious the food was . The Kangaroo Kitchen Staff was so attentive and professional managing every detail flawlessly. I highly recommend Kangaroo Kitchen, Chef Roman, his staff and the most delicious food I have ever tasted.

Roman and Kangaroo Kitchen catered our 2019 New Years Eve Wedding and I never knew that wedding food could be so incredible! Every single dish was amazing from appetizers to late-night chicken and waffles. They made sure to put a plate of appetizers at the head table for my husband and I in case we missed them at cocktail hour. Roman and his team were so friendly, professional and easy to work with. I've heard you do not get to eat at your own wedding, but we were stuffed! Amazing family style meal with beautiful presentation. People are still raving about the food and trying to recreate his amazing salad. I would hire Roman and his team again for any event and cannot say enough about their service!

Chef Roman was extremely helpful and responsive during the planning process and was able to guide us accordingly to make the best choice for our day especially for the table set up and which serving option made the most sense based on the ambiance we had in mind. He even recommended vendors for us for linens and desserts that we selected and were happy with, which was incredibly valuable since we were not locals. For our food choice, although we stuck with our tasting choices we also selected two appetizers that we did not taste before on a whim for our vegetarian friends and it was one of the best decisions we made, but that's a testament to how much you can trust Chef Roman and his team. It was some of the most delicious food we had. Our friends and family went back for seconds and thirds and we still receive compliments on the food today. Chef Roman and his team did a phenomenal job and we would recommend them again!

Kangaroo Kitchen did a fantastic job catering our wedding reception this past August 2019. We are still getting comments from our guests about how fresh, delicious, and attractive all of the dishes were. Simply Fantastic! We considered a number of caterers, but just reviewing KK&C's website and catering menu told us they were far from run-of-the -mill. Chef Roman and his crew know how to take what we were bowled over by at our 5-person tasting and translate it into a delicious buffet for 150+. Our guests moved through the buffet quickly and were presented options that were attractively displayed and delicious to eat.  We received many, many compliments regarding the creativity and taste of the selections.  Several guests tried items that they normally would not eat and were very impressed.  And the Chef is so easy to work with! The catering contract is thorough and easy to understand as is the event agreement.  Even in the midst of the busy wedding season, he responded to my e-mails quickly and with the info I was looking for. The chef and his team had not catered at our venue before, and he went out of his way to connect with the facility's manager. I highly recommend Kangaroo Kitchen & Catering.

We hired Kangaroo Kitchen for our daughters outdoor wedding and people raved about the food! Roman and his professional yet friendly staff prepared hors oeuvres for a cocktail hour followed by dinner for 300 and the flow was flawless! The food was delicious, the temperature perfect and the presentation was a work of art! Guests repeatedly complimented us on the food. The entire process from tasting to choosing was enjoyable! Romans flexibility and wide range of choices allowed us to choose what we wanted to serve our guests versus having a limited number of options. When we set out to look for a catering vendor for our wedding we did not want to give our guests normal boring banquet food. Chef Roman and his staff absolutely killed our food! We were so blown away by how amazing everything tasted the day of our wedding and would highly recommend anyone in the GR area to go with them!

Kangaroo Kitchen & Chef Roman were absolutely amazing! I decided to have a full vegan wedding (i'm vegan, my husband is not)- and it's almost an impossible task to make vegan catered food taste good (and not taste "vegan" to all the meat loving guests!) but yet they did it. I didn't tell any of the guests the food was vegan and throughout the night I kept receiving compliment after compliment about how amazing the food was, how it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, etc. I also had a guest who works in the catering business, and she came up to me and told me that Roman & his team were the best caterers she's ever seen at a wedding. They are extremely organized, great at what they do, and amazing with other vendors and guests.

Chef Roman truly puts his heart and soul into his business and it shows! From sitting down with you for your tasting to providing an excellent and friendly staff for your event, every detail is accounted for and well thought out. We received detailed and updated copies of our BEO as changes were made so everyone was constantly on the same page and nothing ever slipped through the cracks. Chef Roman made sure that we chose the right menu for our crowd and our event, taking into consideration weather/temperature, venue, event flow, decor, etc. to make sure it was exactly what we were looking for. There are countless options to build the package that fits your event needs, and he was able to provide recommendations, honest opinions, and flexibility at every turn. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, perfectly portioned, and absolutely delicious. Perfect choice for our wedding!!

Roman was absolutely awesome! We were planning from across the country and he made it super simple and easy. We aren't into super fancy food because I never really like how it tastes. My parents went to the taste testing for us and put my worries aside. My parents told me that anything Roman makes would be amazing. When we actually got to taste our food at the wedding for the first time, we immediately had the same thoughts as my parents. So delicious and the presentation was beautiful.

SIMPLY THE BEST! I used KK for my wedding reception and could not have been more happy with the entire experience. Chef Roman was kind, courteous, professional, and timely with everything he did. Every email we exchanged was answered quickly and thoroughly. We did a tasting at his intimate catering hub in Grand Rapids, and it was such a neat experience. We were able to bring two guests, and to be the only four guests at his service was so special. Roman was so helpful when we couldn't decide what choices to give guests. The food was all so amazing, it was a struggle! His recommendations were on point. Pricing was reasonable, and I honestly felt like the quality of his food far surpassed the pricing. At our reception guests RAVED about the food and dessert shooters(even my extremely finicky aunt did), and we were told that guests were going back for seconds and thirds of everything. The presentation was beautiful, colorful, and fresh. The staff of KK was friendly, warm, and helpful. They boxed up all of the leftovers for us, and my family was able to take them all home! I was so excited that I was able to eat my wedding meal the next day. They even thought to leave appetizers at the head table for us! Lastly, Chef Roman was catering another event the night of our wedding, but still managed to stop by later in the night. He made sure we were happy, and wanted to meet our parents. It was a thoughtful touch. My only regret is that I can not order some of his amazing food items on a regular basis. Time to find some excuses to order catering! Thank you Chef Roman!!!!

The food was amazing!!! My parents told me they overheard people saying the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Not only is the food awesome, but the display and efficiency of the buffet line was top notch. I was skeptical of a buffet at first but it was perfection.

I can't say enough good things about Kangaroo Kitchen. I was originally recommended to them by a few people in the wedding industry that said how good the food was. From the start working with Chef Roman was fabulous, especially with us planning the wedding from out of town. He answered questions and was super responsive to all of our emails. Out of all our vendors, he was the most responsive and communicative and I can't thank him enough for that. Additionally, he worked with us when one of our guests has a special diet and was able to accommodate it no problem. Most importantly, our guests loved the food! We live in the DC area and are huge foodies, so one of the biggest things we wanted was fabulous food at our wedding. Kangaroo Kitchen did not disappoint. We had the cilantro lime shrimp, pork belly and roasted pear skewer, smoked bacon and Gouda cheese balls, and sun-dried tomato, rosemary, and cannelloni bean dip for appetizers and they were so good! The roasted vegetables, and roasted sweet potato and freekah salad (everyone loved the salad and raved about it after) were fabulous! And then the mains we chose of the beef brisket with apricot rice and the Chicken saltimbocca with the celery root mashed potatoes were both awesome! We decide last minute to add their Amaretto chocolate coconut balls (I could have ate a plate full!), which was a nice way to end the meal before cake and dessert. We had so many compliments after the wedding (and still are getting them) on the food. We could not be happier! On the day of the wedding, we had an outside ceremony and dance floor at our venue, Camp Blodgett, set up with a tent and it ended up pouring during our cocktail hour. Ashley (our lead contact on our wedding) and the Kangaroo Kitchen staff helped move tables around quickly so our band could set up inside instead. They were awesome at stepping in and helping when we had an unexpected turn in weather. And I can't thank them enough for keeping dinner and clean-up flowing smoothly despite the unexpected change in the layout last minute. My day-of coordinator said they were one of the best catering companies she has worked with. Additionally, the family style meal was perfect for our venue and I am so glad Chef Roman suggested it. With the layout getting tighter with moving dancing inside, we definitely had the extra room because we didn't have a buffet set up. Overall, I highly recommend Chef Roman and Kangaroo Kitchen for your caterer. The staff went above and beyond for us, the food was amazing, and even with last minute changes, they made sure everything ran smoothly making it a great wedding day for us! We cannot thank them enough!

We can't say enough amazing things about Chef Roman and his team!! From the very beginning, Chef Roman went out of his way to stay in contact with us every step of the way. The tastings were so delicious! He took the time to listen to exactly what we wanted and adjust as needed. He even suggested a second tasting when we couldn't narrow our decisions. We looked forward to our frequent interactions and learning when new things had joined his menu! The day of the wedding was perfect! He arrived plenty early and set-up was smooth and fast. The display was beautiful and he even brought his own decorations to spoof it up even more. When he saw us being pulled in many different directions, he asked if he could get us dessert before it was gone and set it at the head table for us- so very appreciated!! At the wedding and since, many of our guests have just raved about the food! I can't tell you how many times we heard "the food was amazing" or "this is the best wedding food I've ever had" or "this is the best catered food I've ever had." Our next wish is that we can attend a wedding catered by Kangaroo Kitchen so that we can savor the food and go up for seconds without feeling like we needed to socialize with all of our guests instead. I can't say enough good things about Kangaroo Kitchen! Also, with Chef Roman's no added fees, he is right on par cost-wise with even those caterers who look cheaper on paper, but then charge additional service fees and taxes. Do the math and go with the better food- you won't be disappointed!!

Chef Roman and his team prepared an outstanding selection of food for our wedding on June 2, 2018.
