Katherine Santos sees herself as a one-stop shop for all your event needs, providing complete and partial planning services along with day-of coordination. She begins each experience with an indepth and complimentary consultation, in person or via video call. From there, she will personalize a wedding package to best suit your desired event theme and size. Her full coordination package features services such as budget analysis, venue selection, and rehearsal planning, along with logistics and vendor management. This comprehensive package also contains up to 10 hours of dedicated day-of coordination. Katherine’s partial and day-of coordination services include 3-5 meetings before the big day, a venue visit, timeline building, logistics, and vendor management. Katherine Santos and her team at El’Event Weddings can also offer planning services for destination weddings, arranging milestone events in Mexico and the sun-soaked Caribbean Islands.

We cannot thank Katherine and Rhoda enough for their help! Leading up to our wedding Katherine made herself available to discuss our timeline and took the time to go over every little detail. On the day of the wedding, we had Rhoda who was so incredibly helpful from the moment she arrived, kept our timeline on track and was quick on her feet. She was such a blessing to have. We cannot recommend a better company to work with!
We hired Katherine for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier! She was very detailed, easy to communicate with, spoke both English & Spanish, and had fair pricing. She absolutely crushed it out of the ballpark. Stop looking elsewhere for a wedding planner and book with Katherine!!
Katherine was so great with organizing our day of timeline and helping us think about other details that we would not have otherwise considered.
The day of coordinators, Rhoda and Ashley were the help we did not know we needed. The week of our wedding, we met to speak about the decor set-up. We explained to them the placement of things in detail. They listened, executed, and brought our vision to life. The ceremony and reception spaces were extremely beautiful. Even more than we imagined.
Our minds were running a million miles an hour on our wedding day. One major hiccup on our wedding day was the officiant’s tardiness. The officiant was to arrive 45 minutes prior to the ceremony which began at 5PM but they arrived at 5:03 PM. Ashley and Rhoda called our officiant like crazy as it got closer to the start time. Despite the stress of this, they handled our worries and helped everything run smoothly.
With their help we found an efficient pace to hit all our wants and needs. They moved with a sense of urgency while not rushing us through anything and were flexible with last-minute changes. They were extremely communicative to us and all vendors and provided a pleasant experience. Because of them, my wife and I got to experience our special day without worrying about the chaos that comes with weddings. We can’t recommend them enough.
We hired El’Event Weddings for day-of coordination and I’m glad we did! Katherine is incredibly kind, helpful, and communicative. Although we had a strong photography timeline and on-site coordination from our reception venue already, Katherine helped us think through some smaller details that would need to be dealt with and refine our timeline for the full day. We had multiple meetings with Katherine and Rhoda ahead of the day, they handled vendor communication the week of, and made sure everything ran smoothly at our rehearsal and wedding. There were some complicated logistics involved between getting ready, photos, a church ceremony, and separate reception venue, and I felt so much more relaxed knowing those were being dealt with. Thank you Katherine and Rhoda!
What a joy to work with the ElEvent Team! Our special day was truly amazing, and I believe this was in part because of the communication and organization of both Katherine and Rhoda!
We used the day-of coordination service, but the help began long before the day (and month) of. Katherine helped guide us through creating a timeline for the day and asked questions that helped us hone in on the details we would have never considered. But everything was discussed in such a calm and uplifting environment that made the planning process so enjoyable! We had so much fun planning our wedding because of the confidence Katherine instilled!
And the two weeks leading up to our wedding felt seamless. Rhoda stepped in and provided such a comforting presence that calmed our nerves. We got to enjoy our day and barely made any decisions because Rhoda was our main point of contact for all vendors and took care of any loose items.
It’s important to feel like you have a team supporting and cheering you on for such a special day. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the ElEvent Team to be that for any couple!
Kathy was very kind, but there were many times I felt the communication, the organization, and the pro-activeness were missing, to the point where I wanted to cancel the contract but gave her a second chance. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out.
I hired Kathy Aug. 2022. She was excellent during our first consultation, and seeing all her excellent reviews and the price she offered, I was confident in my choice to hire her. In the following couple of months, I had a few questions that I thought were important. I thought maybe some of the questions were not time-sensitive and would get addressed later, but they didn't, and there were many instances in which emails would go days or weeks without getting answered.
She created a budget spreadsheet. She pointed out that our venue took a big chunk of the original budget, so we increased our budget, which was constructive advice. We were not given a breakdown of what things cost, so my fiance and I had to do the research for it. Besides that the budget sheet was never touched or brought up again throughout the process. I just used it to track payments, which I thought fell under Kathy’s responsibility.
Maybe I am wrong for thinking this way, but I thought the planner would gives a list of vendors that fit the budget needs, and one would just pick from those, but that was not my experience.
I addressed my concerns about the communication and organization in March and planned to cancel the contract. She responded that every wedding is different, so she does not have a strict way of planning weddings, which made sense to me then. At this Zoom meeting, she also told me she was going on maternity leave and would not be working my wedding, which was not a problem. We agreed to give it another try.
From the time of hiring to Apr., not much was done. And while I understand life happens, the communication was just not there. I hired her to aid with catering, Bartender/Staff, liquor, musician, and photographer. I had already gotten the venue, DJ, and decorations. Out of all, she only helped get staff and bartenders and sent emails to some musicians, and did most of the timeline. I looked for our Photographer, Catering, and liquor because either I had no response from her or she was not proactive. There were no monthly check-ins and no checklists to follow; it just felt very unorganized. I felt like most of the time I was the one reaching out to set up meetings.
There was no communication in June, and I felt myself start to give up on her. I felt stuck, but then we started the timeline. July comes and no word on her replacement. In Aug., one month prior,I finally reached out to see who was working our wedding. She had some things happen that were out of her control, and I am not holding that against her. But due to the lack of planning and organization, I got to week three, and we were just confirming the meeting with the replacement coordinator. The stress was too much, and the anxiety of not having a clear plan affected us. I really tried to be understanding but we saw no improvement. So ultimately we broke the contract. We were recommended to someone else by a friend, and it has put me at ease.
Kathy is by no means a bad person; she is kind and caring, and I appreciate the times she did show up, but the communication and the organization need more work. I am not here to deter anyone from hiring her; I am sharing my experience. There are many areas for improvement, but I wish her the best.
I honestly cannot say enough great things about Katherine and her El'Event wedding planning team. She was our Day-of-Coordinator this past June and she did a phenomenal job! Not only is she super experienced and helpful, but everything she does is with warmth and kindness. She really made us feel like she cared and that we could fully trust her. I highly recommend her for wedding coordinating/planning.
Katherine was literally involved in everything, I can say that she went above and beyond her work and because of that every went smoothly in my wedding. She was very patient with everyone. She communicated with me all the time. When I had an issue with one of my vendors she fixed immediately. I’m so thankful I chose her!
Katherine is super sweet. She does a great job with the couple, but she did not do great with everyone else...With us, she was supportive and warm, but my family told me that she yelled at people, watched her text in another room, had to be guided in the set up by my sister, didn't help much with the walk through, and missed a cue for a surprise my parents planned. She was better priced, which I love, but also, you get what you pay for...
I should have known we weren't on the same page when she was 30 minutes late to the venue walk-thru. She is a nice person, but she lacks urgency, punctuality, communication, and organization. My wedding ran behind not because of myself or the wedding party but because she was behind on the decorations that we previously aligned to that she would only need an assistant. My other vendors including the hotel had to help her while getting their own duties completed. I am not sure what time she left that night as she didn't let me know but I have many pictures of her enjoying my wedding. We woke up to dirty linens and dishes that we had to clean and put away unexpectedly plus missing/damaged decor. I also found out that the monograms that I paid for were never put out just like my aisle runner. My family and friends still talk about how lackluster she was the day of but that my other vendors were great. I would highly recommend not using her for such an important day. Katherine was our wedding planner, and I couldn't have done it without her! She was available to me for all of my texts and calls while preparing for my wedding and then was there day-of to make sure my vision came to life. She also helped us find vendors and was overall an integral part of this whole wedding process!
Katherine was amazing and made sure that we had everything taken care of for our big day. She helped where we needed help, gave expert opinions, met with us a number of times and supported us through our wedding journey. Katherine really does care about you as a couple and ensures that your day is a priority for her. On top of all the assistance she provides, Katherine truly is the sweetest person and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a genuine, caring wedding coordinator to help navigate you through your special day.
Katherine was such a joy and gem to work with! She is so friendly and caring and we felt as though she really cared for us as a couple through the wedding planning process. She was available and responsive, was able to help us create a timeline & organize the flow of the day, joined us for walkthroughs and ultimately helped to make sure our day went off without a hitch. Katherine couldn’t have my wedding day more perfect. I did not have to worry about ONE SINGLE thing because she had taken care of it, sometimes before I even thought about it. She helped make the wedding day flow flawlessly… even helped smooth out some pretty big issues without me knowing. Everything was set up perfectly! I loved that she had a few “touch base” meetings with me prior and did a walk through at the venue. Amazing planner!!!
Katherine was an absolute joy to work with. She was very patient when we had to postpone our wedding. And she is very knowledgeable when it comes to the wedding industry which was AWESOME since I didn't know anything about weddings. Katherine is professional and deeply cares about your wedding and works hard to make sure your day is the best day ever! Throughout the whole wedding day and the days leading up to it, I kept thinking I am so happy I got a day of coordinator. I knew I made the best decision in choosing Katherine to help with making the day go smoothly. She was responsible, nice, and brought great energy. She answered ALL my questions thoroughly based on her expertise and experience and trust me it was a lot of questions! I did not have to worry once about any hiccups. Her guidance was beyond my expectations. Rhonda, her assistant, was also very sweet and took leadership during our rehearsal when needed. I great appreciate all their hard work and will definitely recommend her to anyone that is in search for a day of coordinator or any other service she offers!

Katherine was wonderful to work with! She is extremely responsive, smart, and kind. I am someone who likes to control every aspect, but then I realized a day-of coordinator would be the best decision so I don't worry about everything day-of. I quickly unloaded a ton of information, small details about logistics, decorations, and timelines. Not only was Katherine able to organize all of the info, but she quickly understood and was able to repeat things days later without me having to remind her. Not only is she extremely organized, but she has great suggestions on anything I was unsure about. I owe my beautiful wedding photos to her brilliant ideas. Hiring Katherine was one of the best decisions I made. She really made the wedding run so smoothly, can't recommend hiring her enough!
