EVERY bride needs a Katie! I can't say enough good things about her and her team. I did a partial-planning package. Katie gives vendor recommendations based on your budget/needs and you do the leg work until about the two-month countdown. This is where Katie's calm and collected-ness really shines. She makes it look so easy! We genuinely couldn't have imagined our wedding day without Katie and her team there. She really takes every single worry away (even when the weather doesn't cooperate) so you can enjoy your day. The day after my wedding I was wishing I could have another wedding just so I can work with Katie again. HIGHLY recommend!

I could not have planned my wedding without Katie. She was such a huge help throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. She thought of everything and kept us on track. All of our vendors kept complimenting her schedule and timeline she created, they all loved working with her. On top of being a great wedding coordinator, she is one of the friendliest people I know. Katie was truly the most spectacular person to have by your side on your wedding day (and every day leading up to the big day)!!! Katie is beyond patient, SO incredibly kind and so TALENTED at her job!!! She made our wedding day SEAMLESS .. absolutely perfect y'all!! We were hesitant to hire a planner thinking that we could handle planning a small wedding on our own and we were beyond happy we ended up hiring Katie and her team! She held our hand the entire way leading up to the wedding day - helping us make decisions, contacting vendors, get quotes and pricing, contract logistics, organizing it all and listening to all our of ideas and wishes for the wedding. We like many other brides were affected by COVID-19 and had to post-pone our wedding but in that process Katie helped make that transition so smooth and helped put our fears aside. We did the partial planning package with Katie Jean and it made planning a breeze! The communication was fantastic throughout the entire process. She helped us find great vendors that fit within our budget, developed a timeline, and coordinated all the vendors for the day of. On the wedding day, Stefany took point and we could not be happier with how the wedding went. Everything ran smoothly, they helped with set up and break down, kept things moving. Katie was recommended to me by my venue and helped me plan an out of town wedding. As someone who’s never really thought of her wedding day much, I didn’t know what to expect. However, Katie helped me create the wedding of my dreams and made sure my day ran smoothly. Katie is easy to get a hold of, thought of every details, guided my husband and I on tough situations without pressuring us and was the calm presence I needed on my day. She provided recommendations for every vendor we needed and all of them were spectacular. Katie and her team went above and beyond on the day of our wedding. Katie was the best decision we made for our wedding this March. Planning our wedding from out-of-town would have been stressful without her. But she gave us great recommendations for local vendors, was available for every question we had along the way, and made the day-of so easy for us. We met Katie when she was filling in at The Island House when we visited it as a potential venue option for our wedding (which we did end up reserving and LOVING!) and immediately knew we would want her to be our wedding coordinator! After our initial phone call with Katie, my fiance and I knew that we wanted Katie to be our wedding coordinator! While I selected most of my vendors and planned the decor details, Katie offered many valuable vendor suggestions and ideas that I wouldn't have thought of. Because my wedding fell during a pandemic in June 2020, this forced me to lean more on Katie and her advice, based on her wealth of knowledge and expertise in the wedding planning industry, to deal with last-minute wedding changes due to public health safety measures and inclement weather. I was also 3 hours away from Charleston, so having her there gave me complete peace of mind. As stressful as the planning got during the pandemic, Katie was always calm and would allow me to vent and give me sound advice, just like a friend would. I didn't stress at all on my wedding day, I trusted Katie with coordinating and setting up everything that day and was able to relax and really enjoy the day and take in all the emotions. My fiance and I both don't know what we would have done without Katie, she made our wedding day dreams come true! :) I would highly recommend using Katie as a wedding coordinator and/or planner. We met Katie randomly when on a tour at another venue than the one we chose. We asked her a few things and she was so welcoming and hospitable AND she wasn't pushy when we inquired about her services. We knew once we chose our venue (the Island House) we had to have her. We booked her as our very first vendor and she was so great. We chose the day/month of coordinating and she was WELL worth it. We saved so much time, energy, money, AND SANITY with her. She knows the Island House more than anyone on the planet and it made me comfortable should anything go wrong, she would know exactly what to do. She made great vendor referrals and is very well respected so I felt I got the best from all vendors. She ensured my design and setup would flow the best for the guests and it was perfect! If you are having your wedding at The Island House, hire her... if you are having your wedding anywhere in the Charleston area... still hire her. She is pure gold! We cannot thank her enough. Friends and family commented on how well the wedding went with zero issues! Our wedding was the last wedding before the world shut down in March 2020 and we were able to have the perfect day, exactly as we had hoped all because behind the scenes we know she did everything to make it perfect. As a bride during a global pandemic, I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have Katie on my team! From the very beginning, she was so down to earth and truly listened to what I wanted as a bride. She has great relationships with local vendors in the Tri-county area and was INCREDIBLY flexible; even when I moved out of state as we started planning my wedding. After it was all said and done, not only did we have to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, but we also had to cancel/change vendors within 3 months of our new date. Katie handled all the contracts and calls to the vendors and made the transition much easier. Despite the obstacles we faced, Katie was the reason we were able to pull off a beautiful wedding amidst the chaos of 2020! Hiring Katie for our destination wedding in Charleston was easily one of the best decisions we made! Katie is absolutely, positively, without-a-doubt THE person you want helping plan your wedding. Her fees can’t even begin to cover all of the work and heart she put into our 200+ person wedding in November, where her professionalism, patience, flexibility and sheer HUSTLE made our outdoor wedding a phenomenal success — despite the torrential downpour, whipping winds and uncharacteristically frigid temperature! (Literally, at one point she was out there with a shovel helping dig trenches…what more could you ask!?) She does a phenomenal job at everything leading up to the event — from managing various family members’ ‘opinions’ ;) to coordinating vendors to just generally being a sounding board through every step of the process. She also has great ties and contacts in the Charleston community, which will be invaluable whether you’re a lifetime resident or trying to manage from (as we were!) out of the country at various points. Katie, we can’t thank you enough, and we truly could not have done it without you. In sum, my now-husband puts it pretty succinctly: she turns a long-form marathon test into an easy multiple choice quiz. She’s your cheat sheet. Take it. :)

If you are getting married in the Charleston area, please do yourself a favor and make your wedding 100x easier by hiring Katie Jean. I was adamant about finding the right wedding planner early on in our wedding adventure and I could not be more thrilled. I booked her "Month-Of" package but we corresponded for months prior with questions and details and she truly put my mind at ease every time I spoke with her. There were some times that I was almost in tears and I would call Katie and the clouds would part the sun would shine again, she's a godsend in the wedding industry. As expected, some unexpected things happened the day of and she handled everything in the moment like a true champion. I will keep this short because I could seriously write a book about how amazing Katie is but all in all, I would have paid Katie double if I could do it all again. The amount of positive raving comments I received from my family and friends said a ton too.

If there was an option to give her 10 stars, I would! Like all the others have been saying - she is amazing, a dream come true and was the best part of my wedding....even better than the groom :) She was with us for two full days of wedding festivities for a culturally distinct, loud, colorful Pakistani/Indian wedding. You'd never know this was a first for her because she's such a natural. Each day came together more beautifully than I could have imagined or hoped. She gave great suggestions on everything from decor to vendors to timelines. I was planning from NYC but she did all the planning so I didn't do much at all! Anytime I needed something, I just sent her an email and it was done. She did so many things, big and small, that I can't put them all here! I don't think I've ever met someone SO INCREDIBLY good at what they do. And on top of that, she's so kind and calm and just a gem of a person. It was a tough crowd to please and everyone had an amazing time. They marveled at the organization (all Katie's doing) and said it was one of the best weddings they've ever attended. Most of the glowing post-wedding reviews are about her amazingness and this happy couple couldn't agree more :)

Where do I even with Katie! She was the first and best wedding vendor I chose for my wedding! She worked with me for almost two years planning our perfect wedding day! She went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process meeting with me many times, attending vendor meetings, responding to numerous emails and phone calls, meeting with my parents, and so much more! She recommended almost all of our other wedding vendors, and we could not have been happier with them! She made sure we got the best vendors and quotes! My wedding day would not have been possible without her planning, advice, and support! She is personable, down to earth, and so easy to work with! We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding day! Everything was absolutely perfect and ran so smoothly all thanks to Katie and her team! I cannot recommend Katie as a wedding planner enough. She made our wedding PERFECT and a DREAM even despite unpredicted rain! From the moment I met her at The Island House, I felt super comfortable with her and she really got the time to know my (now) husband and I. Communication was fantastic and she answered all our questions from our meetings, to emails, phone and text. I cannot emphasize how amazing she is! Katie made everything run so smoothly and was able to make our dream wedding come true by rearranging a few things with our cocktail hour time and we were able to have our ceremony outside. We COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT HER! Our guests also raved about how awesome Katie was and have already asked me if she could do their weddings!

I cannot say enough good about our wedding planner Katie with Katie Jean Events. Planning our 4/19 Charleston wedding from out of state proved to be much more challenging than we expected. As soon as we connected with Katie, I felt very confident that she would bring our dream wedding to reality. Her extensive knowledge in wedding and events made planning from afar so much easier and stress-free. She is reliable, responds quickly and has a solution or idea for anything that may arise in the whole wedding planning and day of process. I had no worries the day of because I knew we were in great hands with Katie and her team.

Katie was easily the best thing about our wedding. She tolerated my 1 billion emails with grace, answered all my dumb questions, put everything together so it looked AMAZING and the entire thing ran smoothly. Not only that, but she saved us more money than we were even paying her. We didn't have to worry about a thing because she and her incredible assistant Rebecca were there making sure everything was perfect and exactly how we envisioned it. I thought planning a wedding relatively long distance would be difficult, but she totally eased any concerns I had. She even coordinated having my dog in the wedding, feeding her, and bringing her back to my in-law's house on the other side of Charleston. All of the vendors she recommended were top notch and her timeline was detailed perfection. I left a box behind with the rest of my trash without realizing I needed it and she knew exactly which bag in which trash can it would be in the next day (seriously she is a magician!!). If you're considering, stop and hire her now! Basically I want to hang out with her all the time - she is the most amazing person ever.

Super organized and created the wedding of our dreams! Where do I even begin with Katie - she was beyond amazing through the whole process and basically created the wedding of our dreams! She was quick in responding to emails, super organized with all the vendors, and her chill/relaxed demeanor made everything stress free. I'm not good with coordinating colors and designing. Katie took over and created the perfect color choices for our linens and decor. Through her and our day of coordinator, we were able to relax and let loose at our wedding. I would recommend her to everyone! She is AMAZING!

Katie and her team were our day-of coordinators, and working with her was an absolute dream. She's super communicative, and stayed on top of a perfect timeline for getting things planned in an organized and timely manner. They were always punctual and on time to our meetings, and even more prepared than I was with questions and advice. When the big day arrived, everything was perfect from the expert ceremony setup to the flawlessly executed reception flow. Katie communicated clearly with all of our vendors for months, so they knew where they needed to be and when. Everything and everyone hit the mark perfectly and seamlessly. Our guests had an absolute blast, and so did we. I was able to relax and enjoy the party, and essentially felt more like a guest than a host that night. We couldn't have one this without Katie and Stefany, and are so grateful for their services!

I cannot recommend Katie more highly. She is so incredibly organized. It was such a pleasure to work with her for our special day. She took care of everything, from last minute requests of doing a birthday cupcake for one of our groomsmen to making our venue look absolutely stunning and helping keep me calm in the time leading up to our wedding day. Katie is an unbelievable person and wedding planner. I could not have imagined a better or more perfect person to keep me together during the planning period. She was always calm and knew exactly who to contact about everything. She researched who would be the best bang for our buck, including finding us a bar that we would have a full bar for the same price as beer and wine at another. She kept up with all our vendors and always updated everyone. She really went above and beyond on EVERYTHING! She totally held it together as I freaked about the rain and stayed extremely calm contacting all vendors so I would not have any more stress on my plate the week of the wedding. The day of the wedding, she was an absolute dream. She arrived way before we got there to get ready. When I arrived she was already setting up. She was involved in everything insuring the most perfect day. Katie made sure to think of everything including tape for our guest book that I forgot. Our day was amazing thanks to Katie! Katie was the best planner we could’ve asked for. She kept us on our toes as far as what needed to be done and when. She busted her butt the day of the wedding to make sure everything was perfect. It was!

Katie was so helpful throughout the whole process. If you are to invest in anything for your wedding it should be your wedding coordinator. She mde the whole process very easy!

Katie is incredible! She was so organized throughout the process and made our job super easy. But we were most impressed with Katie the week of the wedding. Unfortunately, hurricane Irma tried to interfere with our wedding plans. The hurricane was unpredictable and the governor couldn't make up his mind about evacuation so it was questionable if we could have the wedding at all. Katie was on top of everything. As soon as we heard word of possible evacuation she contacted all the vendors and was able to get our entire wedding moved up a day and to take place at our rehearsal dinner, the Vendue. She essentially planned an entire new ceremony in one day and pulled it off flawlessly. Then after the ceremony the governor announced we would not be evacuating and so we had a second wedding at our original venue- The Island House. She had all the vendors come back and throw an another amazing wedding. It came together beautifully. Couldn't have been happier. Would recommend Katie to anyone! Her affordability is an added bonus as well!

My daughter got married July 2, 2017. Katie Jean Events was our day of event planner. Well, I wouldn't say she was a day of planner. Katie talked with us for 10 months before my daughter got married. She always made the time to help us and try to get the best price on anything she could. On the day of the wedding I did not feel stressed at all. I was so calm. Why because Katie had it all under control. She watched over everyone the caterer, she made sure all the tables were set correctly and around the dance floor as planned. Katie went way overboard on everything she did. She even helped with everything whenever she was needed even if it wasn't part of her what she was suppose to do. She did everything. I have another daughter getting married in March of 2018 and I would never use anyone else. We had the BEST for the first wedding and now we will again have the BEST. If you are looking for someone who will take all the pressures and stress away from the wedding party and take it on herself always with a smile she is the one. Nothing was ever too much for her to do. I would use no one else. Katie Jean Events
