The team is passionate about working closely with brides and grooms to create memorable experiences. Whether through words, décor, photos, traditions, or attire, our goal is to accurately represent our couples to their guests in an innovative and exciting way.
A few of our highlights are transforming people from single to married, a venue from blank to decked-out, and guests from “we are enjoying ourselves” to “that was the best event we’ve ever attended!” We are big proponents of communication, love organization and logistics and get excited when we can relieve stress from others.
Adam and Katie, husband & wife, began planning weddings together in 2008, and built KB Events after realizing their unique skill sets accomplished every aspect of running a flawless wedding. They want each couple to feel heard while they use their knowledge and experience to advise on best solutions, work on design concepts and create smooth transitions for an amazing gathering of friends and family.

Hannah and KB Events made our dream wedding come to life!! My husband and I got married at The Santa Barbara Club in early November and Hannah was recommended by our venue and several other local vendors.
Hannah provided us with numerous resources to help track our budget, create a very detailed timeline for the day and organize all our vendor information in one place. Hannah was quick to respond to all our emails and changes and made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process and day of. There was potential rain forecasted on our wedding day and Hannah worked endlessly with our venue and vendors with only a few days before our wedding to create an alternative plan for indoors. Fortunately, it ended up being a beautiful day outside, but knowing she had a back up option planned for us was such a relief.
Not only is Hannah the sweetest person ever, she is so knowledgable about the wedding industry in Santa Barbara County and surrounding areas and provided us with amazing suggestions which really elevated our wedding.
It was an absolute pleasure working with Hannah and KB Events and would highly recommend booking them ASAP for your wedding!

We were married at the Hotel Californian on September 21st. Katie and Adam of KB Events were our wedding planners from the beginning in January. We had wanted a group that was local to Santa Barbara (our hometown and a wedding destination for many people, as well) so that they were in touch with the venues, outside providers for all services, and logistics. It could not have been a better choice.
After months of planning once we had selected the venue, our wedding day was perfect and seemingly flawless in terms of all of the parts and pieces that had to fit together. Everything was on a coordinated schedule for the vendors, in place and on time. The Hotel Californian was great to work with, setting up for the ceremony and the dinner afterwards. What a beautiful location!
Katie and Adam (and their staff on the day of the wedding) orchestrated a fabulous and enchanting day for us. Their involvement and attention to the smallest detail through the months of preparation and their oversight on the day made our wedding so easy for us, and we were able to just enjoy our most special moments without any cares or worries. Thanks to both of you and your staff for this fairy-tale wedding and a magical day!
KB Events is awesome! Hannah was our wedding coordinator and was so communicative, supportive, and organized. If you’re getting married in the SB or Ventura area you should really consider this team. They made our wedding planning so easy! They were also very professional the whole time and I only have nice things to say.

I couldn't have pulled off my wedding without the amazing services of KB Events. Katie, Adam, and Hannah were an absolute pleasure to work with and made our lives so much easier in the process. A HUGE bonus is that KB not only does wedding planning but coordination as well, meaning they will be at your wedding helping implement all the planning details. We hired Hannah at KB Events for our July 2024 Wedding and it was the best decision we could have made! She was on top of everything from start to finish and took off all of the pressure of not knowing what needed to be done and when. She had excellent communication with both the vendors and with us. She was extremely thorough and detail oriented which ensured nothing fell through the cracks. On the day of the wedding she was a God send. She handled everything with ease. We got married at Bel Air Bay Club and you would never know that she had never done a wedding there before. We could not recommend her and KB events more!!!
Katie and Adam were amazing! They provided my husband and myself with so much help and guidance while planning our wedding. When my hair and makeup team cancelled on me, Katie contacted all her trusted vendors and provided me with a list of people that were reliable and available for my day. They answered my hundreds of questions throughout the planning process and truly put our minds at ease knowing they would handle whatever was thrown at them on the big day beautifully.

We worked with Hannah and KB Events for our daughters June 2024 Wedding. We can't say enough about Hannah and how amazing the day went with her guidance and help. We are from out of state along with the entire guest list so it was a destination for all. Hannah was a huge help from the beginning, the meetings we had were well organized and she thought of everything. The day of the wedding, went without a single problem. It was absolutely perfect! From gathering all the items we dropped off to the venue, setting everything up, checking in on the girls to make sure they were on track, keeping the flow going and the execution of a flawless day. We highly recommend Hannah and KB Events for your wedding.
Highly recommend KB Events for your wedding planning needs! We hired KB Events for end planning for our wedding this past May, as we had figured out most of our vendors on our own, but still needed some extra support. Our lead planner, Hannah, was absolutely amazing. We felt so supported by her, as well as Katie and Adam, throughout the whole process from our very first inquiry phone call through the end of our wonderful wedding evening.
Hannah's communication, support, organization, and enthusiasm throughout the whole process was incredibly helpful and calming. She helped with finalizing some finer details that had not even crossed our mind, as well as making sure that all the big items came together and ran smoothly. Their End Planning & Day of Coordination services include a planning portal to keep you organized, access to an online seating program, and a planning checklist sorted by month. I relied heavily on these resources and greatly appreciated having access to them.
During each meeting (video call, phone call, or in-person), my husband and I felt very supported, and knew that Katie would do everything she could to make our wedding weekend beautiful & stress free. Our wedding weekend was perfect due to the professionalism that Katie & Adam showed.

I live in a different state than where I got married which made me nervous to plan a wedding, but Katie and Adam alleviated any concerns that I had. Katie and Adam are truly the best wedding planning team you could ask for, and we didn’t even book their full service package. They know absolutely everything about planning a wedding in the Santa Barbara area. We planned the wedding from out of state, and it could not have been any easier. Katie and Adam pointed us in the right direction for all of the other vendors (which were also incredible); and they kept us on track during the planning process (and on budget!).
They are incredibly responsive and organized. All of our other vendors raved about the comprehensive timeline they put together. KB Events is literally the best. My wife and I hired KB Events with their full package as our first step to planning our wedding.
Katie, Adam, and their team 100% deserve their immaculate ratings. They are kind, thoughtful, able to push back, but respectful of the couples' goals, they'll give you the inside track of where you can and cannot push, and even their budget estimates are accurate. They can work with anything, and it does legitimately seem like nothing you request or tell them will surprise them.
They will even find you in between your duties as wedding host to give you a plate of food to make sure you are eating.
Our wedding happened to be one of the two days in April it RAINED. They were not phased, and everything got adjusted last minute. They weren't stressed. We weren't stressed (well, I was a little), and everything worked out so well.
It's now exactly a month later, and Gina and I have never once thought of anything they could have done better. Their services were perfect. We could not more highly recommend them.
We recently had the pleasure to work with the KB Events team, engaged as the wedding planners, for an event held at our ranch in Carpinteria. Owners Katie and Adam were incredible planners and managers of every detail as they created a flawless wedding event. The ranch is unique with several creek crossings and unique characteristics that might otherwise make an event for nearly 300 people challenging, but KB worked with all their vendors, professionally directing every detail of the event to perfection! The newly weds indicated to me that it was an event beyond their greatest expectation! This husband-wife team together with their assistant, were hands-on and a true delight to work with and we look forward to having them back as wedding/event planners for more events at The Rincon Creek Ranch!

When my now-husband (!) and I decided to get married in California - where I’m originally from and where my family still lives - we were daunted by the prospect of planning a wedding from the other side of the country (we live on the East Coast). That trepidation dissipated as soon as we contacted KB Events.
We had talked to a few other individuals and companies in the early stages of exploring the possibility of hiring planners to help with our wedding. None of them treated us with the care and respect that Katie and Adam did when we first spoke with them, before we had even signed a contract. We knew they were really something special when, in the time between my inquiry email and our introductory call with them, they had already managed to place a soft hold on our first choice venue, on our first choice date - a venue that to this point, we had not been able to get ahold of! They made us feel like their only clients - a theme that carried through until our wedding day. They listened to what we were looking to do and offered ways to make it happen. Katie and Adam prioritized taking our ideas and making them a reality. I really wanted to highlight the charm of Santa Barbara with our wedding details, and the final result was better than I could have ever imagined (the lemons! The olive oil! The TROLLEY!)
Katie and Adam laid out a timeline for all the key milestones we would need to hit leading up to our wedding, accounting for every major (venue, date, florist) and minor (silverware selection, placement of napkins) detail. They served as the primary point of contact for each of our vendors, which paved the way for us to spend less time fretting about administrative details and more time making decisions.
The best compliment I can give Katie and Adam is that, throughout the 18 months we worked with them to plan our wedding, we never once felt stressed. They were proactive to keep us on deadline and help us stay ahead of budgeting, which allowed us to enjoy every aspect of the wedding planning process – something we recognize not everyone can say about their wedding planning experience.
It may sound cheesy, but we consider Katie and Adam our friends now, and we can’t wait to continue bugging them to hang out with us whenever we’re in town.
Hiring KB Events and Hannah was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process! We did their wedding coordinator package which is supposed to be 60 day support, but Hannah was by my side the entire time. This was especially important since I was planning my SB wedding from Arizona. Hannah made sure we had the best vendors and everything was organized perfectly. After having to separate from another wedding planner due to her lack of organization and accountability, we started working with Hannah, Katie, and Adam a little bit into our planning. I was a nervous wreck because of how poorly things went with our initial planner, and was so anxious about finding the right fit who could help us.
And trust me when I say that KB Events absolutely blew me away. If you are looking for incredibly organized, super supportive, patient, and respectful planners, KB is for you. Their extreme attention to detail was exactly what I needed to feel taken care of. All of their emails were so thorough, easy to read, and just always made me feel like they were on top of their game. They were also very responsive in their emails in terms of how long it took for them to get back to you.
And if you’re a bride who has a lot of questions… who is quite particular or has a lot of opinions… or who just is very detail-oriented and Type A herself about to-do lists and timelines… KB gets it. They were always SO respectful and professional in their communications, even if I was badgering them with questions or concerns. If ever I found a discrepancy or mentioned a mistake I noticed, they never got defensive or deflective (something we experienced with the other initial planner)... they always acknowledged any mistake (which was rare), apologized, took accountability, and fixed it. They always showed up with smiles on their faces and never once came off as stressed out or overworked. Each call/meeting/engagement with them was personal - they were always focused and prepared. They provided amazing to-do lists and timelines and took initiative on setting up meetings with vendors.
Even on things that were outside of their “responsibilities,” they were so supportive and helpful. I had a wedding dress emergency, and they responded right away. My husband had a tie emergency, and they got back to us outside of work hours and offered to get a package delivered to their home. The thing I really appreciated about Katie, Hannah, and Adam is that I really trusted them and I genuinely liked them. They are such caring and fun people!
KB might charge a bit more than some other options on here, but for us it was worth the peace of mind. My husband and I could not be happier with the planning of our wedding and the wedding itself! It was the most magical, dreamy, perfect weekend and we are so grateful to KB Events for helping us pull it off!
Katie and Adam were absolutely wonderful to work with in the process of planning our wedding! They were incredibly professional, kind, and such a calming presence during the whole process. They made our wedding day flow absolutely seamlessly and I received so many comments from family and friends about how easy they made everything feel. KB Events is hands down simply the best! We were planning a destination wedding in Santa Barbara and after my first phone call with Katie I immediately called my fiancé and told him I found our wedding planners. We worked with Hannah to plan our wedding and she was a dream. She answered our emails immediately, followed up with any questions or requests we had and made this Type A bride feel completely understood and at ease. Although we worked with Hannah almost exclusively, Katie and Adam were also there to help or answer questions if we needed them. They work as an amazing team and made our event go off without any issues (or if there were issues I didn’t know about them). If you’re still reading this review and haven’t hired KB Events stop reading immediately and go hire them now! My only regret is not hiring them for the full wedding planning process, they are worth it!
We can not say enough wonderful things about Katie and Adam with KB Events. Aside from just being gracious people, they are absolutely the best team we could have ever chosen to work with. My husband and I had pretty busy lives as it was so the thought of planning a destination wedding was very overwhelming. Admittedly we procrastinated quite a bit but KB Events is so dialed in and organized on another level that they kept us on track and enabled us to create the most perfect day. They truly helped to alleviate so much stress that we were able to work through all the nuances and details that comes with wedding planning without any added gray hair. Katie and Adam far exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning they were exceptional with their communication and recommendations, they helped us manage our budget, vendor coordination (which is a profession in itself), and created the most detailed day of wedding timeline I could have imagined. From having the opportunity to stage our table setting beforehand, to the venue walk through that they organize for all our vendors, to the video sessions where we went through every single detail of our wedding with them, and countless other examples, every step of the way we felt very well taken care of.
I can't tell you the number of guests that have told us that our wedding was one of the best that they've ever been to (seamless, clearly well organized, beautiful, etc.), and it all wouldn't have been possible without Hannah, Katie & the rest of the team at KB Events. Katie and Adam were the rock and foundation of our entire planning process from when we found them! Our wedding day would have not been possible without them. We had the day of planner package, but they gave us calls and meeting when we needed them. They'd responded to our questions quickly when we had them,. They gave us recommendations of vendors for that were within our budget, and took over communications with them before the wedding. They made timelines for us and worked through all the fine details of the day. On Wedding day, they made sure everything was taken care of for set up and ensured all of our personnel items we provided were set up. They made sure we ate, and ensured we stayed on time for the next event of the evening. They were calm and helped us stay calm on the last minute changes that came up day of the wedding. It was amazing to let our guest know that we were taken care of the day of the wedding and that if they had a question, they could ask the wedding planners. All of this to say, they made the wedding planning process so much better and less stressful, and day of we did not have to worry about a thing! You should consider this amazing team for your wedding!
Katie and Adam are 10-star wedding planners. We recently hosted our wedding at the SB Courthouse followed by an evening at El Paseo for 110 friends and family and it went without issue. To every question their answer is: yes, we'll make it happen; and they do. When we wanted lion dancers, boom, they know a group. When I wanted to celebrate birthdays at the wedding, Katie responded: how many candles. They know Santa Barbara, they know the vendors, they know the good and the bad of each space. We booked their full-service option and can't say enough good things about our journey with KB Events. From our initial consultation in December 2021 to our wedding in April 2023, Katie and Adam were with us every step of the way for 16 months. We got married at Alisal Ranch in Solvang, CA, and the wealth of experience that KB Events brought to the table – both behind the scenes and with all the moving pieces that are in a wedding – always made us feel supported. We are so grateful to have found them.
Katie and Adam are incredibly responsive – not only to your communications (we sent them hundreds of emails, and every single one got a timely response) but also to your vision of your big day. Katie and Adam never stopped listening to us, adapting to our (many) changes and requests, or working tirelessly to ensure our wedding went smoothly (which it did, thanks to them).
What's more, Katie and Adam are kind, patient, and calm (qualities that could not have been more valuable throughout this process), extremely detail-oriented, and simply wonderful to talk and plan with. KB Events is first class. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Katie and Adam perfectly executed our wedding at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, and I do not have enough words to express my gratitude. Our wedding rehearsal and wedding was absolutely seamless and perfect. Katie and Adam were attentive, extremely polite, professional and always one step ahead. They made excellent decisions on the day of our wedding when changes had to be made, and always kept me up to date, and did it so delicately. My grandmother suddenly passed during our rehearsal ceremony and Katie and Adam were there for me and my family. They are true humans with extremely large hearts. With them by our side, it made such a tough day easier for me and my family. Katie and Adam are also excellent storytellers. The next morning I woke up to a beautiful montage of pictures and videos that they shared with me from our special day, which brought a smile during a very difficult time for me.
I highly recommend them for your event and know you will be in perfect hands.
Katie and Adam were the wedding planner dream team. Thanks to KB events, our special day went off without a hitch. The "month of" coordinating package we chose comes with so much more than help during the final month alone. Katie and Adam set us up with planning resources, a wedding day timeline, and were there to answer our questions all along the way. They're incredibly professional and experienced. They helped us work through a last-minute DJ cancellation, set up our decor flawlessly, and Katie had a safety pin ready to go immediately when my dress strap broke during some especially enthusiastic dancing during the reception.

It was an absolute 10/10 experience working with Katie and Adam. We did their partial planning package and felt so taken care of through the entire process. They executed our vision to a T, thinking of the smallest details but also deftly handling our very enthusiastic crowd. A few of the other vendors even commented on how organized kb events are - their reputation precedes them! Our venue was the opposite of all inclusive (ie - bring your own restrooms, trash, heaters, catering kitchen, etc.) and they made it all so manageable. Their timeline became our bible in the weeks leading up to the big day, and they absolutely nailed execution of all of our plans the day of (champagne tower, setting up escort cards, adjusting tables so we had more room for dancing, etc.) You will love working with them!
I don't think I could've gotten married without KB Events. Well, I probably could have but the drinks would've been warm, the pizza would've been cold, and I would've been an absolute nightmare to live with.
From our very first call, Katie & Adam put our minds at ease. Being a type A control freak it was hard to give someone else control but I am so so happy I did. We got married at a friend's house so there were a lot of logistics I could never have handled and "little things" I would've never thought of (do the bathrooms or pizza truck come in first, do we have a basket for cards, which shuttle should people be on for family pictures). My god, just the timeline alone is enough to make your head spin! But every little change I made, every request, silly question, repeated silly question, stressful almost bridezilla freakout - Katie and Adam handled them like the pros they are. It really felt like they cared about us as individuals, what we expected individually for the day and then what we wanted as a couple. A week before our big day a SNAFU happened with our after party spot and although it wasn't technically part of our contract, they stepped in to try and help us get things settled. BECAUSE THEY CARE and it really really shows.

Katie and Adam at KB Events are the greatest thing we did for our wedding! They were professional, organized, and knowledgeable. They had answers to every question we had and thought of things we wouldn't have even known about. They connected us to all of our vendors and every single vendor spoke highly of them. We were planning our wedding from the other side of the country but had no issues or problems with anything because Katie and Adam had everything prepped, planned, and organized! The best. Katie and Adam were the very first people we talked to about helping create our Wedding Weekend and it wouldn't have been amazing without them. KB Events helped us for 18 months plan our Santa Barbara wedding with extra communication as we live in Texas. Almost every vendor we went with was one of their recommendations (and were all fantastic). They provide all the visionary, heart-warming conversations you think about when you begin wedding planning, and back it up with extremely detailed communication, to the minute timelines, budget tracking, etc. On the day of, it was bliss. We didn't worry about a single thing, they had it all covered. Simply cannot recommend them enough. They were not only instrumental in our initial planning process (we were certainly clueless about how to plan a wedding and our venue was bare-bones so we had to secure everything from bathrooms, lighting, furniture rentals to the usual catering, flowers, band, etc) but they also seamlessly helped us postpone our celebration, coordinating expertly among many vendors, not just once but TWICE! I truly cannot imagine how we would have done it without them! The day itself was magical! Everything went as planned down to the smallest details which were even better than we could have imagined. And I never felt like I had to worry, plan, or think about anything other than enjoying myself on the day! Wow, where do I start! I have to be honest, when my daughter said that she wanted to get married in Los Olivos, CA and I live in Indiana, my daughter lives in Texas, I was to say the least a little stressed out. After talking with a couple of different Event Planners, my daughter found Katie and Adam. What a blessing! She daughter knew that they were a fit right away. They both are so kind and very organized. They made sure that we stayed on track and were always there if we had any questions. It really amazed me how they had the day of the wedding planned out by the minutes. Both Adam and Katie were there the night of rehearsal and day/night of the wedding. There were a couple of hiccups, our fault not theirs, and they took it off of our plate and handled it. Katie and Adam, you are the best!

Hiring KB Events as wedding coordinators was the best decision we could have made. Katie and Adam went above and beyond in helping to make our wedding day absolutely amazing! They were always available to provide guidance and to answer questions. They also had tons of great experience, vendor connections, and tooling for keeping us on track and planning wedding timeline/layout info. Santa Barbara was a destination wedding for us, and we really had no idea what to expect given the situation with COVID and not being at all familiar with the area. Once we booked our venue, I was on the search for a wedding planner. I spoke with several different companies and just knew that KB was the going to be the perfect fit. Katie was always incredibly responsive to all my random questions and concerns. They handled all the vendors and managed the details that I never could have imagined even existed. But what I really love about them is their down-to-earth, warm, straightforward nature! On the day-of, Adam helped with a little situation that occurred with my 9-year-old stepdaughter. We were a covid couple and like many in the same situation encountered numerous twists and turns during our planning process. Thankfully we had Katie and Adam to help us every step of the way – reviewing our contracts to make sure we had flexibility, attending all vendor visits to game plan how we could arrange the space, and fielding every possible question and scenario we threw at them. They were always so patient and willing to hop on a video call to talk through whatever was on our mind. Aside from keeping the logistics of the day in check, they also kept us calm, making us feel like everything was going to be ok when at times it didn’t necessarily feel that way. Even though they are primarily focused in the Santa Barbara area, they nailed their first Malibu wedding! We are so appreciative of all their support and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

What an honor, joy, and privilege it was to have Katie and Adam plan and execute the wedding of our dreams!!! We are a COVID couple, and had to completely move our entire wedding from May 2020 to May 2021 with little lead time. Katie and Adam were PHENOMENAL throughout the entire process, calmly and confidently contacting every vendor (13 in total) and rescheduling them all to the new date. It is impossible to express what an amazing job they did, and we sure hope that they will be available to help our friends and family plan future weddings. Katie and Adam were super helpful and informative. Truth be told, our procrastination got the best of us and we began planning our wedding late. It didn’t help that we were trying to do a wedding for well under what is typical for a Santa Barbara budget.
