We got married at the Naples Grande and did the ceremony on the beach and reception inside which required a ton of coordination/logistics that Kara did a fantastic job handling! There is no way we could have been able to do it without her! Kara's also very well known in the Southwest Florida market and has great recommendations for any type of vendor you would need. Kara provided significant guidance on everything from large items to the tiniest details that I never would have thought to consider. Thanks so much to Kara and her team for making out day so special!!!

Kara did an excellent job as my wedding planner! We hired her for full service wedding planning two years prior to our wedding and she was helpful and accommodating to our specific needs. No question was left unanswered. I personally preferred to have a lot of creative control over my wedding and I felt like she gave me that while still stepping in if and when it was needed. She attended all our vendor meetings both virtually and in person as we were planning the wedding from a distance. She was very pleasant to work with and I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in SWFL.

My husband and I renewed our wedding vows on June 25, 2023. Kara came highly recommend, and boy I was glad we found her. I live in Nh and planning an event from afar is not easy. From the moment we started working together she made sure I had everything I needed for a great vow renewal reception. She contacted vendors, coordinated pick up of my flowers. Set up my reception ballroom, provided music for my beach ceremony. She even kept informed of the weather for my ceremony.She made sure the whole day ran smoothly . Kara was INCREDIBLE to work with! I hired her about 6 months before my wedding day and had her Wedding Day Management and Design package. Kara went above and beyond and helped me with so much more than what the package came with. My husband and I were hesitant on getting a wedding planner in the beginning because we thought “oh we can do everything ourselves” but there’s NO WAY we would’ve been able to do anything without Kara the day of the wedding. The entire day was so seamless and we had so many compliments on the whole design of the wedding which I have Kara to thank for as well. Kara is so talented and has the biggest heart, I promise you won’t regret choosing her!

Brendan and I had the pleasure of working with Kara and her team for our beach wedding that took place on February 12, 2023. Kara was fantastic from start to finish and we couldn't recommend her enough. We hired Kara for the year-contract as we were planning a destination wedding to Naples, FL from Toronto, Canada. There was a lot of planning involved over zoom and Kara tied everything together perfectly to create a dream wedding that brought in sentimental aspects for all family members. I truly apricated how caring, thoughtful, and relatable working with Kara is. I loved how she was upfront with my parents and able to pivot through the many challenges that faced our wedding, including a Hurricane that whipped out our original beach venue and changed our date. Her vendors were also incredibly kind and caring towards us and able to meet our needs and discuss our vision over zoom. As others have said, Kara does a good job of aligning your vision with the resources she has in Florida. Kara was always available to chat, very organized, meticulous, and kept on top of things we missed. I loved working with her so much that I asked her to officiate us! She did and it made the day so much more fun and special for me. Because our date had changed (hurricane took out our original venue) and I asked Kara to come back to see us to sign our marriage licence two days later on February 14th. It was so thoughtful of her to come back and I can’t thank her enough!

It was a true pleasure working with Brian. We are from out of state and our day wouldn’t have been possible without Brian. He was meticulous in reviewing our contracts and working with the other venders. He took great care in making sure the day was planned down to the minute and he gave us the peace of mind that things would go smoothly so we could enjoy the day.

KC Weddings and Events was the best investment we made for our destination wedding! Living in Michigan, it was intimidating trying to coordinate a wedding across the country. Kara put my mind at ease every step of the way and was extremely accessible to answer my questions in the months leading up to our big day. The week before in our coordinating phone call, Kara pointed out a few small details we may be missing (card box, cupcake stand, etc.) and had these items available to rent from her own personal inventory which was extremely helpful! On the day of the wedding, we had some wind issues which did change up some of the plans in terms of décor, table settings, etc… however I did not have to deal with any of this headache and Kara handled everything gracefully behind the scenes so I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. She bustled my dress (which the hook for the bustle broke at some point in the day by the way, so thank goodness for her nifty sewing skills to save the day before my father daughter dance!) I would highly recommend Kara and KC Weddings & Events to anyone looking for a kind, helpful, professional, organized, and extremely talented wedding coordinator! I am so thankful we chose Kara to help us on our big day! Thank you for everything!

KC Wedding & Events was the MOST important investment we made toward our daughter’s wedding. Kara was not only available all the time but she was a God sent as we did not realize the minor/ major details that slipped our minds at the last minute. Kara Cardinal was absolutely amazing in helping us design, plan, and coordinate our wedding! From the first FaceTime call to the day of our event, we could not have asked for a better wedding coordinator and planner. Kara's attention to detail, vast experience with weddings in SW Florida, humor, and knowledge of what works and what doesn't was extremely helpful in the 14 months that we were planning our wedding. She responds to emails and text messages very quickly, had an answer and logical explanation for every question we asked, and was such a joy to work with. For the day of our wedding, Kara flawlessly executed the design plan and vendor coordination that we had been working on for over a year. We could not have been happier with the final product that Kara put together! She was beyond diligent and was making sure that everything (flowers, rental items, bridal party) were operating on time and as scheduled. WOW! For those of you who think you don’t need a planner, YOU ARE WRONG! You NEED Kara! I thought for sure I could do it all! Then I met Kara and I am so happy I did! KC Weddings & Events was beyond amazing to work with! We only had a few weeks to plan an entire wedding on Marco Island while we live in Indiana. Their communication was fantastic. We were able to FaceTime, email, text and have phone calls with them through the entire planning processes. They have great recommendations for photographers, cake places and florists. We also loved the wedding decor they provided for the beach ceremony. The day of the wedding, they took care of setup, tear down and took charge of the music. When planning a destination wedding, you have to put a lot of trust in your planners to make your vision come alive. Our wedding ended up being better than we could have ever dreamed of all thanks to KC Weddings & Events!

We hired Kara as our wedding day coordinator (and then added on postponement services d/t COVID) and also hired Kara for design/planning for a pre-wedding event. Our pre-wedding event was a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and although Kara has never been to one, she embraced it. She enthusiastically helped with rentals and other design touches. She nailed it! Since day 1 (sometime in 2019!), she went above and beyond. She never rushed the calls and took time to learn about who you are and your vision. I did have a misunderstanding with a vendor and Kara advocated for me. We successfully reached a solution that worked for everyone. She went to bat for me and I'm so appreciative of that. She cares. On my wedding day, I noticed Kara threw in a few extra touches to help complete the design/look/feel. Thank you!

Where do I start with Kara! From before we even officially hired her, she and I clicked immediately. She is so incredibly attentive, sweet, talented and easy to get along with! The thought of even planning a wedding before I had her gave me panic attacks. Having Kara along the way helped us relax and made sure everything was set for our big day. Kara is the absolute best wedding planner you could ever hope for. She helped us not only plan our wedding, but our destination wedding when we were on the other side of the country. Our day was beyond perfect, it was everything we wished for and more. We truly believe without Kara it wouldn’t have been that way and definitely wouldn’t have gone as smoothly. Overall we had a wonderful experience working with Kara! She was down to earth yet professional throughout the planning process. We needed her to help plan a destination wedding and could trust that she would help coordinate with vendors when we were not there physically. That was important to us and her recommendations were very helpful while planning as well!

Working with Kara from our engagement in 2019 to our wedding this past weekend was phenomenal. It was everything we needed. I wanted to work with someone that was easy going and that I would connect with and that was Kara! She helped me in many aspects and pointed me in the right direction along the way and ensured me the wedding would be perfect and it was! Everything went smooth and was a great day from start to finish!!

I want to start out by saying that Kara is an ANGEL. This amazing, hardworking women helped me plan my dream wedding during a pandemic, which is no easy task. She was there for every freak-out (there were many lol), vendor meeting, design-related details, or just a shoulder to cry on (there were also many of those). She made my entire wedding planning process, which lasted almost an entire year, so easy and alleviated as much stress as she possibly could from me. She put together the most beautiful design plan for me, a flawless timeline, coordinated and recommended the BEST vendors in our area, and made my wedding day stress-free. She was even willing to round up my pups during our wedding (along with 10000 other things she had to do) so we could have our fur babies included in our wedding. Pretty sure she still has scratch marks/leash burns from trying to control 2 50 Lb dogs- now that is some freaking dedication. Kara- I adore you and will always be thankful that I had you on the most important day of my life.

Planning a wedding is stressful! Adding on COVID, travel restrictions, and our wedding being far away (we live in DC but our wedding was in my dad’s backyard in Naples due to COVID) made us realize we might need some help, but how do you choose the right person? We did some searches on google, theknot, etc and came across Kara and her positive reviews. We had nothing but positive experiences from the very first email! Wedding planners might seem like something you don’t need if you’re on a tight budget but trust us, Kara will take all the stress away from the process so that you can actually have FUN with the planning and more importantly, the actual event. Kara was professional, timely, helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and had a wonderful relationship with the vendors to make sure we got what we needed. She is also fun to be around and made every step exciting for us. She even let us throw some curve balls her way as late as the day before the wedding (we decided we NEEDED a keg after all our drinks were mysteriously gone after the rehearsal dinner and she said no problem!). If you’re considering hiring a planner, LOOK NO FURTHER! Hire Kara and her team and you will not regret it.

She kept track of payments due, timelines ( which was a huge help the day of the wedding ) and all the small and big details that allowed us to be free of worry, leading up to and on the wedding day. Kara was absolutely fantastic!!! From our first meeting, she completely understood our desires for our wedding day. She was amazing in coordinating vendors and trouble shooting. I had no worries the day of my wedding. I was able to just relax with the women of my family and enjoy a morning of mimosas and pampering. I cannot recommend her services enough!!! She is wonderful.

First off, thank you Kara for all that you did for us and our wedding! Kara was absolutely awesome. She from the start explained to us what we needed, examples, what she can do, how we can meet, created last minute meetings to meet our needs, concerns, or questions. She took care of reminding us or “Reminding” me of what are the items we orders, planned, or agreed on because I was just too consumed with other every day items, there is just absolutely no way I could focus on planning my own wedding without her. I would have been bridezilla or worse. She helped to turn me into anything but that. She even helped with putting all pieces where they belonged on day of wedding, in the middle of the wedding bring my daughter juice, even helped with doing a Zoom so family and friends who could not attend could at least can virtually attend our ceremony, and helped with my dress so I could be more comfortable, and even picked up everything after the wedding. She never let me lift a thing up. I appreciate all she did and HIGHLY recommend her if planning your wedding.

My wedding was August 1, 2020, and yes I am one of the many covid brides who found herself planning and incredible day that slowly began to shift as we approached wedding day. Kara was my wedding planner and I can say with full confidence that hiring Kara was the best decision I made for my wedding day as I was preparing. Not only was she there every single step of the way with planning and coordinating, she was my encourager, my supporter and truly became my friend. By the time we reached wedding day, I felt that Kara knew me so well that I was not concerned about any issues or questions would arise, because I knew she would be able to make a decision that truly reflected what I would have wanted out of my day. Kara was not pushy or aggressive in her approach. She was honest when I asked for her opinion and professional in her mannerisms at all times. I don't think I can thank her enough for her help, guidance and support for my wedding day. You will not regret hiring and working with Kara; and I highly suspect that you too will feel it was one of the best decisions you made.

My husband and I hired Kara and her team for our out-of-town wedding in Naples. We were not able to be there for the majority of the planning, so we relied on her a lot. I do event planning and project management for a living, so it's fair to say my standards and expectations are incredibly high when it comes to what I deem good service, and Kara was my on the ground as my eyes and ears in Naples, and I know I could have never gotten everything I wanted to get done from afar without her. She knew how to make things happen, and even when I wasn't clear on something or changed my mind, she was there to make quick adjustments and give me peace of mind. There were a few hiccups during the process, but nothing that good communication couldn't fix, and she was open to hearing things I wanted changed or needed clarity on, which I think was what made the experience so good in the end. I'm glad I chose to have a planner, and she was what my husband and I needed for our day, especially with COVID-19 in the way (we were married on 3/14).

We had our wedding on 2/22/20, and I reached out to Kara the Lead planner two months prior to help plan our wedding. I was set on a small wedding so two months was a good time frame. I couldn’t help my self and went with a larger wedding then the original plan of 30 guest. Kara is very experienced and has great relationships with many vendors for all of our special request and location options! The day of our wedding she made it so easy for me not to worry about anything even fighting the wind! (We had an outdoor wedding) she made sure that any issue that occurred was fixed like the wind breaking a center piece and her driving to a near by store to purchase materials to fix it or even the venues dance floor breaking and ordering a dance floor the day of. Hiring Kara is a must! If I was planning our wedding alone it would have been so stressful especially the day of our wedding! She is the sweetest and worked her butt off on top of officiating our ceremony.

The point of this review will be to say to avoid this company at all costs. I was actually excited about wedding planning - event planning is part of my occupation, and the idea of planning my dream party seemed so exciting! As we were planning a destination wedding, I knew we’d need to hire a wedding planner to help. Kara from KC Weddings & Events was the first to respond and from our phone call & we hired her for the full wedding planning and day of coordinating package. My excitement ended the minute the contract was signed. It would be too long (and too frustrating) to go through the many ways this team failed me. To start, I needed help finding vendors. It was so hard to get information or help from them, that I ended up booking nearly all the vendors myself directly. The communication issue got so bad and I was getting so frustrated that I asked them to send me weekly email updates, which they did not do until the last few weeks before the wedding. There were so many things in the contract they were supposed to help with but didn’t - budget management, contract management, RSVP management, etc. It honestly felt like a chore and the wedding planning would have been so much easier if I did not have to talk to them. When I brought up the issues I was facing with them, each time they were combative and defensive, and did not apologize or try to make it right. My husband and I flew to Florida for wedding meetings and there were several meetings Kara was invited to, as well a planned meeting with her, and not only did she not show up to any meeting, she didn’t even tell me she wouldn’t be joining. The week before the wedding, she finally told me she would not be attending at all, she would be sending her associate to be on site that day. So the person I hired at the most expensive package I never even actually met. My wedding was late because no transportation arrived for me and when I contacted the day of coordinator, she didn’t have any answers for how to fix it. My poor husband was sitting in a gift shop alone wondering what was going on, and thank God I called in and was able to tell him what was happening because no one else did. I have an amazing best friend who got on the phone with the car service, and then we ended up flagging down a random limo that felt bad for the situation and drove me and my friends to my wedding (Sheila at VIP Transportation is my forever queen). Due to the corona virus, a number of guests dropped out last minute, so the wedding planner crammed people into tables, but didn’t provide enough chairs. When people brought this up to her, she asked my friends to figure it out. She also never made any announcements about transportation - my best friend’s husband brought up needing to announce the shuttles, to which she was confused, so he ended up coordinating with the driver and making the announcements. There were many things I brought up to her that needed to happen or weren’t happening and she didn’t know what was going on - probably because she wasn’t the person I had been talking to for months about planning my wedding! The only reason my wedding was a success was because I hired some amazing vendors that stepped up and helped make my day a success - Cori at Edison & Ford, and Angelina from Angelina Melody Photography. I could go on but I’ll stop here and just say, if you want your event to be a success and your wedding planning to be stress-free, avoid this company at all costs.

Once that escalated to 52 people we decided to reach out for help and found KC Weddings, and they stepped in seamlessly to where we were at in our planning and got started. Kara is so responsive and available for any questions you may have. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding the wedding planning process and gives great advice to those (like us) who didn’t know what they were doing. We had a unique venue, in that we got married at my parents house out on their dock, so Kara made sure that we had everything we needed (from tables, chairs, silverware, everything for the caterer/kitchen, glasses, napkins etc - the things a “typical” venue would provide). She helped us with the design and flow of the wedding as well which was perfect. On the day of, Kara and her team were there helping with whatever was needed, and it was so appreciated. Even if you are having a small, home wedding like us, HIRE Kara!! It truly made our wedding day stress-free, knowing someone else was handling the vendors/timeline/decor/set-up/breakdown. Best Decision We Ever Made! We went into the wedding planning thing with the mindset that we could do it all ourselves. As things starting rolling I realized that I would not be able to relax and enjoy are special day this way. We hired Kara for partial planning and she went above and beyond! This was the best thing we ever did. We actually got to relax, enjoy our guest, and have fun. Kara made sure that we had everything we needed and then some. I can not say enough good things about Kara. She went as far as enlisting her husband to build us a donut wall for our donut favors. If I had to do it all over again I would hire her in a heartbeat!

I would highly recommend KC Weddings and Events to anyone planning their big day! I had the pleasure of working closely with Kara the 2 months prior to our wedding. I purchased the most basic package as I didn't have many vendors to coordinate, but needed help and peace of mind for the day of the wedding. While Kara was technically only really contracted to help me a month or two before the wedding, she always made herself available to me if I had any questions, and keep in touch with me regularly through the several months prior. She really became a friend during this time, and now I'm sad I don't get to see of talk to her anymore 😢. She really is fantastic! And I have to give a shout out to her hubbs who came (sprained ankle and all) at the end of the wedding the video our bubble exit and give it to our videographer so that we didn't have to pay extra for more hours with my videographer. KC weddings Kara and Brian have their own vendor list . Do your research kara recommends venues and vendors based on her network . She is not for the bride . We hired Kara to plan our wedding during the beginning of the process she was very nice . Unfortunately when it came to selecting a venue Kara wanst willing to step outside comfort zone . What I mean by this is she insisted that we go with her already preselected venues . The issue was for the amount of money we wanted to spend these Venues did not fit with what we were trying to accomplish . So we found our own venue . She had this issue with all vendors . So for better money and quality we found all of own vendors and we emailed Kara letting her know our progress and politely explained to her that we didn't understand why we are doing so much foot work . She agreed and understood . Any time a change needed to be made Kara was included in the email and before we signed any contract we spoke to her she was more than compliant . So for over a year we thought every thing was fine . 7 months before saying I do she had her husband send us an email canceling out our contract . We are hurt and don't understand . 7 months before our wedding. We have to find another planner and start all over . Please beware of this couple and don't spend unessisary money do your research Swfl has great vendors and beautiful Venues for less money .
