She let me really enjoy the day by handling all the set up and logistics for my wedding day. usband were just planning on going to the courthouse to get married, we were expecting our baby boy in the summer and didn’t think we would have time to create a small wedding in a short time window. We thought of certain dates having meaning and 2/12 was the number we wanted. It landed on a Monday and the date was approaching fast we thought it would be impossible to plan something in such a short amount of time but Kara made the impossible possible. The best decision we ever made was hiring her. She took over everything and it was so easy for us. She took our vision and made it a reality. We had a great small wedding on the beach with our immediate family. It was perfect. We are so grateful for her, for all she did and how quickly she made this wedding happen.

Their planning portal was quite useful, and they even helped me when I was having technical difficulties. Fast forward to the month of my wedding, Kara and Ashley completely took over the planning process. They handled vendor communications, made sure timelines were finalized and that all vendors were up to speed, and organized my rehearsal. I basically just showed up wherever/whenever they told me to, and it was perfect! On the day of my wedding, I didn't have to lift a finger. I got to sit back and relax on my day, and let Ashley guide me from one event to the next. Ashley was completely in charge of making sure we were sticking to the timeline, and she ensured the whole day ran smoothly, which it did! We did run into a small hiccup of rain RIGHT when my ceremony was supposed to begin, but once we figured out a plan B, Ashley was right there redirecting our vendors and making sure my new ceremony space was set up beautifully and in a timely manner. The rain barely set us back, and it was incredible how efficient Ashley was! I am so glad I made the decision to hire Kara's team for my Day Of coordinator. They took all of the wedding day stress away, and allowed me to fully enjoy my day and be present in the moment. Do yourself a favor and hire their team!

Set up my reception ballroom, provided music for my beach ceremony. She even kept informed of the weather for my ceremony.She made sure the whole day ran smoothly . There was a lot of planning involved over zoom and Kara tied everything together perfectly to create a dream wedding that brought in sentimental aspects for all family members. I truly apricated how caring, thoughtful, and relatable working with Kara is. I loved how she was upfront with my parents and able to pivot through the many challenges that faced our wedding, including a Hurricane that whipped out our original beach venue and changed our date. Her vendors were also incredibly kind and caring towards us and able to meet our needs and discuss our vision over zoom. As others have said, Kara does a good job of aligning your vision with the resources she has in Florida. Kara was always available to chat, very organized, meticulous, and kept on top of things we missed. I loved working with her so much that I asked her to officiate us! She did and it made the day so much more fun and special for me. Because our date had changed (hurricane took out our original venue) and I asked Kara to come back to see us to sign our marriage licence two days later on February 14th. It was so thoughtful of her to come back and I can’t thank her enough!

The week before in our coordinating phone call, Kara pointed out a few small details we may be missing (card box, cupcake stand, etc.) and had these items available to rent from her own personal inventory which was extremely helpful! On the day of the wedding, we had some wind issues which did change up some of the plans in terms of décor, table settings, etc… however I did not have to deal with any of this headache and Kara handled everything gracefully behind the scenes so I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. She bustled my dress (which the hook for the bustle broke at some point in the day by the way, so thank goodness for her nifty sewing skills to save the day before my father daughter dance!) She responds to emails and text messages very quickly, had an answer and logical explanation for every question we asked, and was such a joy to work with. For the day of our wedding, Kara flawlessly executed the design plan and vendor coordination that we had been working on for over a year. We could not have been happier with the final product that Kara put together! She was beyond diligent and was making sure that everything (flowers, rental items, bridal party) were operating on time and as scheduled. We were able to FaceTime, email, text and have phone calls with them through the entire planning processes. They have great recommendations for photographers, cake places and florists. We also loved the wedding decor they provided for the beach ceremony. The day of the wedding, they took care of setup, tear down and took charge of the music. When planning a destination wedding, you have to put a lot of trust in your planners to make your vision come alive. Our wedding ended up being better than we could have ever dreamed of all thanks to KC Weddings & Events!

ent was a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and although Kara has never been to one, she embraced it. She enthusiastically helped with rentals and other design touches. She nailed it! Since day 1 (sometime in 2019!), she went above and beyond. She never rushed the calls and took time to learn about who you are and your vision. I did have a misunderstanding with a vendor and Kara advocated for me. We successfully reached a solution that worked for everyone. She went to bat for me and I'm so appreciative of that. She cares. On my wedding day, I noticed Kara threw in a few extra touches to help complete the design/look/feel. Thank you!

Kara is the absolute best wedding planner you could ever hope for. She helped us not only plan our wedding, but our destination wedding when we were on the other side of the country. She even let us throw some curve balls her way as late as the day before the wedding (we decided we NEEDED a keg after all our drinks were mysteriously gone after the rehearsal dinner and she said no problem!). She even helped with putting all pieces where they belonged on day of wedding, in the middle of the wedding bring my daughter juice, even helped with doing a Zoom so family and friends who could not attend could at least can virtually attend our ceremony, and helped with my dress so I could be more comfortable, and even picked up everything after the wedding. She never let me lift a thing up. I appreciate all she did and HIGHLY recommend her if planning your wedding.

planning and project management for a living, so it's fair to say my standards and expectations are incredibly high when it comes to what I deem good service, and Kara was my on the ground as my eyes and ears in Naples, and I know I could have never gotten everything I wanted to get done from afar without her. She knew how to make things happen, and even when I wasn't clear on something or changed my mind, she was there to make quick adjustments and give me peace of mind. There were a few hiccups during the process, but nothing that good communication couldn't fix, and she was open to hearing things I wanted changed or needed clarity on, which I think was what made the experience so good in the end. I'm glad I chose to have a planner, and she was what my husband and I needed for our day, especially with COVID-19 in the way (we were married on 3/14).

e. I couldn’t help my self and went with a larger wedding then the original plan of 30 guest. Kara is very experienced and has great relationships with many vendors for all of our special request and location options! The day of our wedding she made it so easy for me not to worry about anything even fighting the wind! (We had an outdoor wedding) she made sure that any issue that occurred was fixed like the wind breaking a center piece and her driving to a near by store to purchase materials to fix it or even the venues dance floor breaking and ordering a dance floor the day of. Hiring Kara is a must! If I was planning our wedding alone it would have been so stressful especially the day of our wedding! She is the sweetest and worked her butt off on top of officiating our ceremony.

planning my dream party seemed so exciting! As we were planning a destination wedding, I knew we’d need to hire a wedding planner to help. Kara from KC Weddings & Events was the first to respond and from our phone call & we hired her for the full wedding planning and day of coordinating package. My excitement ended the minute the contract was signed. It would be too long (and too frustrating) to go through the many ways this team failed me. To start, I needed help finding vendors. It was so hard to get information or help from them, that I ended up booking nearly all the vendors myself directly. The communication issue got so bad and I was getting so frustrated that I asked them to send me weekly email updates, which they did not do until the last few weeks before the wedding. There were so many things in the contract they were supposed to help with but didn’t - budget management, contract management, RSVP management, etc. It honestly felt like a chore and the wedding planning would have been so much easier if I did not have to talk to them. When I brought up the issues I was facing with them, each time they were combative and defensive, and did not apologize or try to make it right. My husband and I flew to Florida for wedding meetings and there were several meetings Kara was invited to, as well a planned meeting with her, and not only did she not show up to any meeting, she didn’t even tell me she wouldn’t be joining. The week before the wedding, she finally told me she would not be attending at all, she would be sending her associate to be on site that day. So the person I hired at the most expensive package I never even actually met. My wedding was late because no transportation arrived for me and when I contacted the day of coordinator, she didn’t have any answers for how to fix it. My poor husband was sitting in a gift shop alone wondering what was going on, and thank God I called in and was able to tell him what was happening because no one else did. I have an amazing best friend who got on the phone with the car service, and then we ended up flagging down a random limo that felt bad for the situation and drove me and my friends to my wedding (Sheila at VIP Transportation is my forever queen). Due to the corona virus, a number of guests dropped out last minute, so the wedding planner crammed people into tables, but didn’t provide enough chairs. When people brought this up to her, she asked my friends to figure it out. She also never made any announcements about transportation - my best friend’s husband brought up needing to announce the shuttles, to which she was confused, so he ended up coordinating with the driver and making the announcements. There were many things I brought up to her that needed to happen or weren’t happening and she didn’t know what was going on - probably because she wasn’t the person I had been talking to for months about planning my wedding! The only reason my wedding was a success was because I hired some amazing vendors that stepped up and helped make my day a success - Cori at Edison & Ford, and Angelina from Angelina Melody Photography. I could go on but I’ll stop here and just say, if you want your event to be a success and your wedding planning to be stress-free, avoid this company at all costs.
