A Legendary Feast for You and Your Guests
Padraic grew up working in his parents' village pub in Galway, Ireland and moved to the United States in 2015. Through some chance work opportunities he became fascinated with traditional southern barbecue and learned his way around a wood-fired smoker.
After welding his own smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence, Padraic held his first catered event at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown in 2016. Since then, Keane’s has continued to build a reputation for exceptional food and service. Opening a popular BBQ take-out service in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston in 2020.
Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering offers a wide range of services:
Full Service Catering for events – From event set-up to tear down. Keanes will serve your guests from cocktails through dessert and make your party a breeze. Keanes provides a range of services from bar services to passed appetizers, stationary grazing for cocktail hour with a staff serviced buffet or family style dinner. We provide a range of non-alcoholic options including coffee and tea service, and for desserts we can order them for you or set up and maintain a station with what ever desserts you choose to provide.
Typically we arrive 2 hours before your guests to set-up our kitchen, get the smoker fired up and if needed stage tableware, utensils and napkins. For our bar this time is spent staging and icing down product. Generally this means we have 2 hours for set up and 1 hour for breakdown and about 3 - 5 hours for our agreed upon menu. Our clean-up includes a sweep on the venue to ensure all trash or rentals from our contracted services is removed and taken care of so you can focus on enjoying your special day. Everything is made from scratch and we provide an assortment of house-made pickles and sauces for your guests to choose from at no extra charge. We also have vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options if you have guests with dietary restrictions. We bring in everything that we need, including our friendly & helpful staff to make sure your event is legendary!
To compliment our full-service catering we can also help booking rentals including tents, tables, linens, silverware, and dishware.

Alicia and her team were absolutely a dream! Alicia, the coordinator, was so extremely thoughtful and attentive to every little detail! The food was amazing and so was the team! If we were to do it all again, I would choose Keanes 10 times over!!
We used Keane's Wood Fired Catering for our wedding in Newport, Rhode Island on June 15th and they were absolutely amazing. Multiple people told me after that it was the best wedding food they've ever had.
The owner, Padraic, was super attentive, went out of his way to make us food for pickup when we couldn't go to a public tasting, and called me a few days before to double check on which beer we wanted.
Exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and planning, but most importantly the food is delicious. Worth every penny.
I cannot thank Keane's enough for catering our event on Sunday, 4/28. The food was fabulous! The communication between them and I was fantastic and very very easy....from ordering, changing my order, paying for the event, right down to the delivery. I also received compliment after compliment while folks were eating.
I will definitely use Keane's again and you should too!

Keanes was one of the best choices that we made for our wedding day. Working with Kym was exceptional. She was responsive, professional, calm, and so positive. She made us feel great. Kym walked us through our options, ways we could customize our day, and had suggestions to resolve every concern or update we thought of. On the day the team was so great at setup, service, and breakdown. We really appreciated that Keanes could come onto site with their own wood-fired ovens, as our venue did not have a kitchen. Our guests raved about the food (including the apps, the deviled eggs and bluefish in particular) and so many came back up for seconds. Our families had concerns about doing barbeque because it was not "traditional", and a buffet, but they are all converts now. It was elegant, fun, and everyone appreciated having such a wide selection to choose from. Keanes was also exceptional about allergies. We had guests with Celiac disease, multiple types of allergies, dietary restrictions, etc., and they handled those with no problem. Everyone was able to enjoy fully. I also wanted to point out the level of service that Keanes gave us. Right after our ceremony Kym had a board of all of the appetizers, and our specialty cocktails brought to us. When we joined dinner our plates were ready and on our sweetheart table. The flip from dinner to serving cakes that we brought in was seamless, and even though they did not provide the rentals (plates, utensils, etc.) they still serviced the cleanup. We felt taken care of the whole day, and feel very grateful that we chose Keanes.
The team at Keans is unbelievable. The service we had from the planning stage throughout the entire process was top tier and as a stressed bride, I couldn't thank them enough. The food is UNREAL and with some very picky guests, we heard nothing but positive feedback on how delicious the meal was!!!

Keanes came on a recommend list from our venue site, and as soon as my then fiancé and I tasted their food, we knew we had to have them cater our wedding! From the beginning, Keanes was incredibly helpful with communicating how their catering worked, building a menu that was custom to us, and talking us through every step. It’s a big decision picking wedding food, but it was made so easy with Kym from Keanes. They delivered on not only the amazing food (our guests have not stopped talking about how delicious it all was) but also on setting up all the table decorations, handling cleanup, and making sure the reception went flawlessly. I would absolutely recommend Keanes to cater any event, but especially a wedding! We could not be more thrilled with how exceptional they made our wedding day!
I am a wedding planner (owner of The Perfect Match Weddings) and I had the pleasure of working with Keane's for a client's wedding last month. Not only was the food delicious, but the team was a pleasure to work with. So often, the catering team can make or break the guest experience and flow of events and their team was kind, collaborative, thoughtful, and efficient. I hope to work with them again soon!
We discovered Keane's while looking for a less-traditional vendor to fit our dream of a "tacos and margaritas" theme. Keane's both fit our budget and threw us the wedding of a lifetime, even going out of their way to accommodate a winter holiday wedding. Our guests loved the brisket and raved about the cocktails. Kym helped stay us on top of everything and was very professional. Cannot recommend enough.
Can’t even count the number of guests who said this was the best wedding food they had ever had! We had a great experience with them all the way through-so easy to communicate with, really flexible with adapting the menu throughout the process, and the entire staff was so helpful and kind on the day of the wedding. I’ve heard so many stories of couples not getting a chance to eat the food on their wedding day, but the staff helped my Maid of Honor put a little sampler plate together during cocktail hour while we were busy with pictures so we actually got to try some of everything! This was also one of the only caterers we found who provided family style service, which was something we really wanted, and we were so happy with how it turned out. Also the table sauces were a huge hit, people were so excited to take them home! Truly cannot recommend them enough for both food quality and general level of service.
Kim, Padraic, and the entire crew at Keanes were wonderful. From the get go, Kim was kind, knowledgeable, & patient even with my many questions and indecisiveness. She handled all details with rentals, set up, and executing the day of. They made our venue look like an absolute dream. And our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food - especially the hummus crostini, pulled pork sliders, the chive mac and cheese and the brisket. Everything was full of flavor and phenomenal. If you’re looking for a more upscale BBQ option for your wedding or event, they’re your people. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!
Honestly, they were the best decision we made for our wedding. Planning a backyard wedding is stressful. There’s a lot you need to coordinate, but Kim and the staff at Keane’s made this part a dream! The food was SO good, they handled table set up, they were flexible with my ever shifting guest count, accommodated allergies. Just really truly exceptional. So many of our guests went up for seconds and told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. If you want elevated barbecue, book them! They may seem a little expensive but they are worth every penny. We would book them again for future events.
I can’t say enough good things about Keane’s. If you don’t book with them, you are making a mistake! If you do book with them, spend a little extra for the prime rib, you WILL NOT regret it. My husband hugged the cook at the end of the night because of how good the food was. All the guests raved about it. Kim and Amber were absolutely amazing to work with. They were extremely helpful prior throughout the entire process. I would hire them again in a heart beat for any event I have!
Keane’s catered our wedding recently and it was one of the easiest and best choices we made when wedding planning. The take-out tasting process was fun and delicious – we knew immediately we wanted them. They were laid back and so easy to work with through the whole planning process, giving helpful suggestions along the way.
Kim’s coordinating was phenomenal! She made us feel so comfortable and we knew everything was in experienced hands with her on the day-of! The staff were all professional and fun – ready to help put a smile on guests’ faces in addition to serving up top-notch food. We had several guests with various food allergies, and Keane’s staff were excellent with explaining ingredients and avoiding cross-contamination which put our minds at ease.
The best part of it all was hearing 40+ guests say “this is the best wedding food I’ve ever had!” Weeks later and we're still getting comments about it. Book Keane’s immediately – you won’t regret it.
Amazing!! Keane’s may have been the highlight of our wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They are an excellent vendor that took great pride in helping us create a perfect menu for our big day. We were so impressed, we hired Keane’s for our rehearsal dinner as well! Their selection of entrees and sides satisfied all of our guests and the presentation was outstanding. Our Keane’s contact person (Kim G) was outstanding and in constant communication throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them for your event!!!
Keane's catered my daughter's wedding and they were absolutely fantastic. In addition to delicious food and amazing staff, every step of the way Kim, my main contact at Keane's, was always there to provide very helpful advice and suggestions when we needed it. Can't wait to have a reason to work with Keane's again! We also used their vintage plates too which were great looking and unique! Thank you Keane's and Kim for everything!
We hired Keane's Wood Fired Catering for our wedding this past June and couldn't have been happier with the food and the team! From the very beginning Kim was a resource of information and help in planning everything, even our cake and rentals. On our wedding day the food was absolutely amazing, we had wanted something unique and delicious with awesome gluten-free and vegan options and they delivered on every aspect! All our friends and family are still talking about the Mushroom Sliders that were honestly the BEST! Kim, Luke and the whole team at our wedding were so fun and created such a great atmosphere for our guests! We 100% recommend them for a wedding or any event!
Keane's provided our catering for our outdoor wedding of 150 people. Our experience was incredible-- from working with their event manager Kim, she was SO helpful in our planning, to the onsite staff who delivered the best event we could ever ask for. Everyone is kind, fun, and accommodating. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!
HIRE KEANE'S TO CATER YOUR EVENT!
We hired Keane's for our wedding and we were floored by their service! I (the bride) am a vegetarian and I never thought I'd hire a meat-based restaurant to cater our wedding but Keane's was an amazing choice! They have a huge menu that adequately accommodated our guests with dietary restrictions and preferences.
Kim is incredible to work with and made sure, through countless rounds of e-mails, that we got exactly what we wanted from our event. I can't recommend Kim, specifically, highly enough.
On the day of our wedding my now-husband and I received a personal dish of hors d'oeuvres to attempt to eat in between chatting with guests during the cocktail hour! Unfortunately, as the bride & groom, you barely get to eat on your wedding day but this definitely helped us get our hands on some food. We also got served first during our buffet style dinner and all the staff were so lovely!
We received so many compliments on both the food and the service at the event! We received the HIGHEST compliments on the brisket (my husband's grandfather, who's 86, said the brisket was the best piece of meat he's EVER had), the mac & cheese (our gluten-free guests were THRILLED to be able to eat a huge selection of the food at the buffet), and the portobello mushrooms (my friend who doesn't like portobello mushrooms loved it and I personally thought it was a much more unique treatment of portobello mushrooms than would usually be served at a restaurant).
We also heard from so many people who got shout outs on their outfits from the catering staff which made everyone feel wonderful. Keane's did a stellar job and we're so grateful they were part of our day!
Keanes did an amazing job at our wedding! The events manager was responsive and very accommodating to our requests to make the day special. They were able to workshop services for the bartender and cake we brought in that were external to Keanes. They also worked with us to fit our budget. The service was great and the catering team brought the smoker on site which our guests enjoyed. I will be recommending Keanes Wood Fired Catering to family and friends for future events!
The Keane's team was so helpful from the beginning stages of planning. Kim was there every step of the way to help us with the menu, rentals, and perfecting our vision for our wedding day. Day of, Padriac and the team were prompt and professional. He made sure my husband and I were able to enjoy the appetizers while we were finishing up pictures and he even made us plates of food before the buffet started. Our guests were talking about how it was the best wedding food they've had and how they're going to have to order from Keane's in the future.
Keane's did a wonderful job with our wedding. They had great choices, everything was good quality and they ran on time. We had some issues with our rental vendor and the Keane's team hopped in and helped us figure out a plan to work around that. They were all wonderful and made sure our special day went smoothly. We loved the food and we keep getting compliments from our guests on them. Would definitely recommend!
There is not enough I can say about Keane’s. My guests are still raving about the food at my wedding and it’s all thanks to Keane’s. They were very professional, easy to work with and made our menu perfect. Highly highly recommend to anyone looking for at caterer!
Keane's was fantastic! They catered our 150-person wedding reception, including passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour. The food was spectacular (people especially raved about the sliders during cocktails!), and the staff was so kind. On multiple occasions I saw members of their team going out of their way to clean up parts of the event they had nothing to do with, help other vendors, move things, etc. They also did a late night food station (grilled cheese) which was a huge hit. They are super flexible and easy to work with. 100% recommend.
A week before my wedding, my caterer fell through due to a COVID outbreak. Keane’s was able to step in and create a comparable menu for my 185 guests! We ended up with a charcuterie table, light bites table and a selection of smoked entrees (brisket, salmon, chicken thighs, stuffed mushrooms) with delicious sides (salad, cornbread, potatoes, vegetables). They even made delicious strawberry handpies for dessert! Before the wedding, i hadn’t tasted their food but during my wedding dinner, I was amazed at how delicious everything was! Even after the wedding, my friends and family are still raving about the food! Above all, the service and attention to detail by their team was amazing! I would highly recommend the team at Keane’s!

AMAZING!!! I hired Keane's to cater the welcome BBQ the day before my wedding as well as the brunch the day after. I was planing out of state and they were beyond great to work with. Kim was our main communication and her husband delivered on the day of. Everyone was raving about the food and they brought everything we needed for the event. The brisket was out of this world and the charcuterie boards on Sunday were such a hit. Highly recommend 10/10 for sure!
Padraic, Kaylyn and their wonderful team took amazing care of us on our big day! It was important for us to have very high quality, tasty food for our (160!) guests, as they all know how much my husband and I love food and cooking. We were very disappointed with so many other options out there- they all looked so boring and flavorless- until we found Keane's.
Padraic worked with us every step of the way and made sure we had options for vegetarian guests, were happy with the budget, and felt at ease. I can't stress the importance of that during such a hectic time. It was truly something we didn't have to worry about!
Right after the ceremony, the Keane's staff made rounds with trays of delicious apps (yum, the keilbasa!) When it was time for dinner, they called each table up to the buffet where the most amazing brisket, chicken and sides were served. When it came time to cut the cake, the staff even helped with that- above and beyond every step of the way!
To this day, so many guests continue to talk about the food at our wedding, which was one of our favorite parts as well.
If you want sophisticated & delicious food, but a more casual vibe, like we did, Keane's is the perfect answer.
Keane’s Wood Fired Catering was the star of our wedding night! Even months later we have not stopped hearing from our guests how incredibly delicious the food was! Padraic and his team are extremely professional, so very friendly, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Excellent communication, so responsive, and willing to work with any and all of our requests. The service on our big day was so wonderful we couldn’t have asked for better. Padraic worked so hard to ensure that our wedding night was everything we wanted it to be and thanks to him it was everything we imagined and more! He and his team worked so well with our other vendors, and even assisted them at our wedding when things weren’t going as we planned. The beautiful vintage plates provided by Keane’s was such a nice added touch that both us and our guests really loved! They are more than just a catering service, I truly feel that Keane’s made our wedding! I recommend Keane’s Wood Fired Catering without any hesitation, they are absolutely THE BEST!
Our food was one of our favorite parts of our wedding. We got so many compliments that it was the best food some of our guests had ever had at a wedding. Working with Padraic and his team was an absolute joy. Padraic is quick to respond to emails and was accommodating to our guests' dietary needs.
