Who do you like to work with? He said Kelly Sherlock. I hired Kelly. It’s hard to plan a wedding, there are so many moving parts: ceremony, flowers, lighting, food, music, hotel rooms, a budget to consider, all while servicing the deeply-seated desire to create a magical event for the daughter you love and her new wonderful fiancé. It’s emotional on so many levels. I am writing this now to anyone out there looking for a planner, to let you know you can rely on Kelly. She’s smart, professional, caring, competent, and organized. She kept us on track and she was an utter pleasure to work with. In the eight months we communicated there was never a time when she did not return my email the same day, and 90% of the time within minutes – even if only to say she’d received the message and would get back to me with answers soon. She was conscious of our budget, she determined what our priorities were, and she put the puzzle pieces together beautifully. She never became frustrated or took a short cut. Kelly’s entire focus was on us. It was clear that her goal was to create for us the event we imagined. She was powerful when she needed to be, soft when it was required, and we came to trust her implicitly. There were ideas my husband and I had that we ran by Kelly and she either made them work or explained why logistically they may not work. She ran interference for me with vendors, gave me good and honest advice about every idea I had, and some of those ideas were out there, and she connected us with Urban Earth, the design team who made the ceremony and reception spaces more beautiful than I had hoped for. She also gave me a list of great vendors to chose from for Make Up (Flawless Bride), photographer (Julia Bailey) and our Cakes (Pure Cake,) and we LOVED each of them. The cake tasting was really thoughtful, fun, and delicious. Kelly made arrangements with the Ace Hotel to do a blind cake tasting, where we sampled different cakes without knowing which bakery they came from, all the while sipping champagne in the very place our party would take place. It was one of my favorite things about the planning process, and it was 100% because of Kelly. We loved having her be apart of our wedding because we never had to worry about anything. Everything ran on time, everything looked and tasted great, and everyone loved the planner. I have been singing her praises for the last month and will keep doing so. THANK YOU KELLY!!!

The day of the wedding went without a hitch, every vendor delivered to near perfection and Kelly was there to manage all the details immaculately. All we had to do was sit back, relax, and enjoy... Well, as much as would be allowed for the bride and groom on their wedding day. Kelly is one of a kind. She’s the kind you want to be planning your wedding. WIthout getting into too much detail, she single handedly protected my cigar humidor and all of it’s contents from being stolen and immediately protected my items. She did it without hesitation, without question, and with full authority. I could not be more grateful for that instance alone. When authority and responsibility needs to be taken, Kelly Sherlock is right there looking after the best interest of not only us as the wedding couple, but our guests as well. I don't know how she juggles such a delicate balance of vendor/client relations; However, she is clearly an expert. She is amazingly omnipresent, there at the exact moments when you need her, and always handling business when decisions need to be made. Odd/Intricate family dynamics are things that I am sure most people have in their lives, but do not always want to discuss. For us, it was a member of my family who required special attention… extremely special attention. She handled it amazingly, so much so that for our wedding weekend, my entire family was at peace. Kelly was able to create an atmosphere of complete wedding bliss and once everyone got settled into the hotels, it was as if we were placed into our own world. I swear time must have frozen for me that weekend, I stood idly by as dozens of vendors, from the hotel, to the church, to the venue for the reception worked so diligently to make everything run perfectly. There was one person conducting the symphony, and it was Kelly Sherlock. Without her, the operational efficiency of our wedding would have come to a grinding halt. But no matter what her concerns were, she assured us that at the end of the day it was our choice and she would carry out our wishes to the best of her ability (which she did fabulously). The wedding day went perfectly! We had such a great time and had the pleasure of just experiencing the day. Kelly took care of everything. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the different vendors in the city and suggests those she feels would best suit your wishes, as well as your budget. My fiancé and I thought we knew the venue we wanted before we even went to look...Kelly suggested we keep an open mind and took us to a few different places. We walked in to a different place and instantly knew that it was perfect for us. I went to one cake tasting and one florist and we were done! She's just that good. She never overwhelmed me with too many tasks or decisions at once. Once I picked the vendors, she handled all of the rest...paperwork, payments, scheduling, etc, etc. I had an itinerary for the wedding day weeks in advance and felt completely at ease knowing she was in charge. We all knew where we needed to be (thanks to her firmness with the groomsmen...she definitely saved me from doing that job...haha). My bridesmaids and most importantly, our families, agreed that she did an amazing job. Kelly is extremely professional, likable, and gets the job done. I know I could not have been in better hands!

I met with only one florist and one bakery, and they were perfect and delivered beyond my expectations and within my budget. One of my favorite aspects is that on the wedding day Kelly has everything planned. I got a schedule weeks in advance when everything was happening, from when hair & makeup started, to when I was to be in my dress and when pictures started. This was great! I literally had nothing to think about on that day except enjoying it and taking it all in! At the reception I didn’t worry about a thing, Kelly had me where I needed to be when I needed to be there and made sure my family was as well and then all of the bridal party items she was on top of those too. I had such a fantastic wedding and not once did I worry about when things were happening or if everything was in place/not lost because I knew I had Kelly. Lastly, Kelly is super friendly and very easy to get along with; you’ll walk away from your wedding wanting to be friends with her!

We had started to compile lists of florists, bakers and other vendors, but it was difficult, especially when we weren't completely familiar with the geographical layout of the city. Kelly narrowed everything down for us and presented us with options for each category. As soon as we'd met with her, we quickly realized that we could skip even a few more steps by trusting her to guide us to her the very best vendors, such as NOLA Florists. We couldn't have been happier with the wedding planning and with the wedding day, which was gorgeous and which we will always remember. She was obviously very familiar with our venue (Latrobe's on Royal) and her excellent working relationship with the people there helped us tremendously; we felt like we had a great team of people planning the wedding, and she really brought us all together. Kelly was a joy to work with. She was professional, and we think, quite frankly, that she was a life-saver. I would recommend Kelly Sherlock to anyone looking to get married in New Orleans.

n-laws in June for wedding planning. As soon as I met her, I realized why my mother-in-law was so excited about having hired her; she is wonderful! She helped my sister-in-law really formulate her vision, and every suggestion she offered was spot-on. She took so much of the stress out of planning an out-of-town wedding, and it made my in-laws' lives so much easier. We had a great time for our wedding planning visit in June, and Kelly was a huge reason for that! Now, on the day of the wedding, she was spectacular. We followed her advice and had a leisurely, lovely day getting ready for photos before the wedding, and the photos were a snap (forgive the terrible pun), in part because of her organizational skills and her attention to detail and to the timeline she'd created. For me, the best part was that I knew that she was always aware of the time, but she didn't make any of us feel that we were rushed or even that we had a single thing to worry about. It was such a stress-free, great day, and once the reception started, it was nothing but fun. Of course, there she was again, making sure that everything ran smoothly and that she was available to answer each and every question that popped up. Before we left the reception for the Second Line (a definite highlight), she made sure that my sister-in-law and her entire bridal party knew that our belongings were fine at the venue and that we only needed our masks and handkerchiefs.....sure enough, we arrived back at the hotel, and there were our purses, heels, tote bags and the rest. Kelly is a great girl, and I'm glad I got the opportunity to meet her. She is super smart, savvy and she knows all the coolest people and places in New Orleans. My sister-in-law was extremely lucky to have found Kelly, and any New Orleans bride would be just as lucky to hire her! I wish I'd had Kelly at my wedding 8 years ago ;)

dations were 5 star and excellent. We couldn't have asked for abetted group of people to work with. She kept spreadsheets for us, letting us know she vendor payments were due. No matter what we asked her to do, she did it! I cannot begin to thank her for advice and guidance in helping us make our daughter's wedding a stress free, beautiful affair. around 12 coordinators/companies and had a revelation to call my preferred venues to see who they had on their vendor list. I described the type of wedding I was trying to achieve, which was non-traditional (no bridal party, no special dances/events, fun with focus on guests, and classy). Kelly was referred by a few venues, especially when I described my style. The vendors confirmed that she was reliable, put together, and very much liked by their staff. This was important with 2 months to plan! I also like the reviews from others that were planning a destination wedding with Kelly. We wanted to keep it small (50-75 people) and did not want to spend a lot. At the same time, we are big city people and tend to be perfectionists. I did not want a big fancy traditional wedding and opted for classy yet simplistic. I say this, because Kelly was the perfect fit for our style & within our budget. We met her one week afterwards in New Orleans to discuss the details. We narrowed down the venues and started planning. Kelly definitely helped us to stay around our budget (we knowingly went 5K over) and helped us pick the perfect vendors that did a fabulous job yet were not out of the price range. She answered my emails and gave me advice within a day of inquiring. I still did a lot of detail planning on my end like full website/app updates, maps, weekend checklists & events for guests (did I mention I am OCD & fast-paced city girl), but I did not have to worry about the main focus/events for the wedding. I only say this because I think you can pay more to have more done (at least a few others offered full-weekend planning at a higher rate). Weekend of the wedding tended to be rainy-season. Kelly kept an eye on the weather all weekend and gave us options since everything we had was outside ("first look" pictures in City Park, Jackson Square ceremony, Broussards courtyard reception). Day of the wedding it's pouring rain (flood warnings). Kelly rearranged our first look indoors at a nearby elegant hotel; I did not have to worry. She had a backup option of indoor ceremony at Broussards, but we were able to get a break in the weather to have the ceremony in Jackson Square (it still drizzled the entire time, but we did not care).The reception was at Broussards outside courtyard. We had told Kelly the Friday before that we did not want a tent (our choice). We'd risk it and use the side room if it rained. Since it was a Sunday and Broussards was not that busy, they relocated guests to the side room and gave us the large dining room. Very nice of them, and I'm sure having Kelly (someone they like to work with) did not hurt the situation! She was great the whole evening and ran back/forth to our hotel dropping stuff off & picking things up that I forgot. She even helped me change outfits/jewelry when all of my friends were little too tipsy to help. Great Gal! The only advice I would give is to make sure you are very clear on the type of wedding you want with your coordinator and research if they've done that type of wedding. Kelly was the perfect fit for planning the wedding we wanted. I, the uptight city-gal, was relaxed the whole time. It was as if everything went as planned. What rain? No regrets.

Then as the planning continued she was great at keeping me on top of what I needed to be doing, deciding, paying etc. She sent regular timelines and to do lists for me which was so helpful. Kelly is super responsive and always made me feel like I was her only client. She took so much stress off of me during our engagement. Now for her help weekend of, as if she hadn't been amazing enough she was even better for the final days leading up to and the wedding day. Everything from letting me ship her a ton of important wedding items to her house (favors, gifts etc) so I wouldn't have to worry about packing them to coordinating all communications with vendors (she did that the whole time but became even more apparent how awesome that was week of) to finding out I was going to have to move hotel rooms midweek and without me asking calling hotel to fix the issue, Kelly was awesome. On our wedding day she was the perfect mix of calm, comforting, quick on her feet and stern with those who needed it (eg drunk groomsman who split his pants right before the ceremony and she helped safety pin them back together). Once again she anticipated our every need like helping us sneak away during the reception for ten minutes to eat even though we originally told her we didn't need to the week before (we were wrong and never should have doubted her!) Everything went off without a hitch and I never once felt worried it would have gone otherwise because she made me feel confident in her ability from the very beginning. Hands down would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in New Orleans!

When we decided to have a destination wedding we were initially very excited. This was followed immediately by sheer panic and dread as we started delving into the logistics of the operation. That's when we brought in Kelly and she was a life saver. Kelly planned every aspect of our events, booking entertainment, setting up tastings, coordinating floral, organizing the second line parade permits and band, etc. We only had to make one trip to Nola to finalize plans prior to the wedding! This would not have been possible without Kelly's fantastic organizational skills, professional rapport with high quality local vendors, and her determination to ensure that we and our guests had the most amazing time in New Orleans. She also has a great reputation in New Orleans and she is highly respected in the wedding industry- so that means she was able to call the shots and coordinate everything smoothly. Kelly is straight forward and will tell you how it is, but she will bend over backwards for her clients. She specializes in creating a detailed timeline which is the MOST important thing for your wedding day to go smoothly. Even if there was an issue, I never knew because Kelly took care of it. There are so many things that she thinks about (that I definitely did not) and it's so nice to not have to stress the weeks leading up to your wedding, not to mention the day of your wedding. Walking in to my beautiful reception venue that she coordinated was such a sigh of relief. AND she is fun! If you tell her what you want out of your wedding, she will make it happen.

And that she did. My wedding at Broussard's last month was perfection. It was more than I could've ever dreamed of and I didn't have to worry about a thing! I could go on and on... (I really wanted a gospel choir at my wedding and she knew one immediately that fit perfectly what I wanted!). She also knows great tips in general since she has been around and knows what works well/looks good and will definitely tell you so you don't learn the hard way! Kelly was also very easy to get in touch with. I live out of town and work a lot so I preferred email and she had very speedy turn around town. My mom though likes to talk on the phone and meet in person which Kelly also accommodated! Once Kelly started on her official run with us the 6 weeks prior to my wedding she met with my mom in person and we had a conference call on the phone. From that moment on Kelly handled everything monetary so we wouldn't have to worry who to pay when etc. ALso she organized the schedules of the band, venue, church, photographer, florist, etc. (She caught a slip in our planning - we had originally booked the band for 3 hours and thought we changed it to 4 but hadn't - Had it not been for Kelly we would have been plugging in the ipod for the last hour of our wedding :(). On top of knowing all the right vendors, she is also good about getting to know the bride, her family and what they want out of the wedding. We are generally a laid back crew and wanted a fun smooth wedding. I literally never had to worry about what time it was the day of the wedding or where to be when bc she was with us every step of the way. THis was not only nice for me but also my bridesmaids, mom and mother in law. We could all just have fun relax, and slip into our dresses and be on our way! Basically she takes out any not fun part about the wedding (making sure groomsmen are on time, that guests get on the right bus, etc) so that your only job is to get married and have fun! Lastly once we got to the wedding again everything ran smoothly! We didn't miss a single song on the dance floor bc Kelly maid sure we fit in all our photo ops early in the evening or during intermission! I literally can not imagine having a better wedding! We got so many compliments on how fun it was and I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that there were no hiccups (Literally 0 things went wrong! What?!). I could not recommend Kelly more.
