I cannot say enough good things about Kelly’s Closet. By far, the easiest choice in all of wedding planning. From finding “the dress” through alterations, I experienced a pressure-free, calm environment. The staff are simply amazing. Sarin in alterations was absolutely amazing- she created a pocket for my insulin pump to go into which allowed me to wear a more figure forming dress- which I never thought I could do as a type 1 diabetic. Cannot recommend enough! The cutest boutique and kindest staff around!
Kelly's Closet is a beautiful little shop that is very welcoming and not intimidating. The staff are super nice and I found my beautiful dress that I wore on my wedding day here. Their alterations person is also very good and I was happy with how my dress came out.
Two slightly negative things: They did not ask me what my budget was the first time I was in the store so I ended up trying on a dress that was very over budget. It's partly my fault for forgetting to check, but bridal shops should always ask about budget. Additionally, they have a small selection of veils and the saleswoman didn't know anything about veils so it made that process very frustrating and stressful and I ended up getting my veil at another shop.
Overall, I would recommend Kelly's Closet if you have a good idea of what you are looking for because the staff is super nice and they have beautiful dresses.
I don’t even know where to begin. Rebecca was an incredible consultant from the first time I walked in the door. She took Into consideration what I thought I liked, what looked good, and the meandering ramblings of what thoughts exiting my mouth - even when they most likely made no sense as to why I did or didn’t like something.
I bought a sample dress and they were able to walk me through the next steps, including recommending a trusted cleaners.
Alterations were great but at the end I felt something still didn’t feel right. Kelly, Rebecca, and everyone in the salon helped me to problem solve what was feeling off - and even were ready if I decided (with two weeks to go) if I wanted a new dress (Oy I know). With more alterations and adding a sash sewn in, and 40min conversation about bra options 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😂😂 I felt wonderful and ready to go!! Thank you for your patience, understanding, helpfulness, and being there when I kind of just wanted to talk it through with my mom. And of course making me feel beautiful.
I did not find my dress here, not for a lack of beautiful dresses, but I enjoyed the experience. I did get my veil from them.
Getting my dress at Kelly's Closet was one of my favorite parts of the wedding planning process! We had a six-month engagement, so I was tight on time to find a dress, but everyone I know who has been married in Atlanta said I needed to try Kelly's Closet and I'm so grateful they squeezed me in with an appointment because I found the dress! They were SO kind and patient helping me make the decision and took great care in taking my measurements to get accurate sizing to help minimize the alterations that would be needed. And then throughout alterations - again just so patient and kind and listened to how I wanted things to look so I felt beautiful in the finished product. I wish they had a boutique for regular clothes so I could still enjoy the vibe and people!
Kelly and all the staff at Kelly's closet were so fantastic! I shopped for my dress here and while I ultimately chose a dress from another store, I felt so taken care of at Kelly’s Closet! The selection is fantastic with a lot of beautiful, unique, and modern gowns. I actually ended up coming back to buy my veil here as they had a great selection and good prices. Their team was responsive and informative, making my experience so easy. I would absolutely recommend Kelly’s Closet for wedding dresses and accessories!
LOVED shopping and my overall experience with Kelly’s Closet! Scheduling appointments was easy and convenient, I think I always got the day and time frame I was looking for but I did make the appointments a few weeks out in advance. Our stylist was very friendly and picked out some dressed I wanted to try on as well as a few others and she let me pick dresses that I saw in the store as well. She helped me in and out of the dresses and gave great feedback. I also got the in house seamstress and she was great as well and did a beautiful job. Their time line for the dress to arrive and the seamstress’s work was true as well. Definitely stop by Kelly’s Closet for an appointment to try on dresses and I hope you find your dream dress there as I did!
TL:DR: I had a fantastic experience at Kelly’s. I originally THOUGHT I knew exactly what I wanted in a wedding dress, but eventually realized the style I was dreaming of really wasn’t the right one for me. That left me back to square one, with not much time to spare, until I went to Kelly’s. She pulled a sample of a style completely different than what I’d been trying on, and it turns out that was perfect! It was flattering and classic with a little uniqueness - exactly what I was hoping for. Plus, as a sample, it was on an amazing discount and worked for my timeframe.
Because of proximity to my job, I ended up starting my alterations at a different shop, but after awhile I realized that tailor was not “the right fit” for me. I ended up back at Kelly’s to finish up my alterations, and they were awesome in advising me what shapewear I needed and talking me through everything. They were easy to talk to and I didn’t feel pressured to style my look any certain way. I loved their shop’s unique and stylish feel. They’re kind, communicative, and patient and it was so awesome to get to work with Kelly herself, too. Thank you, Kelly and team!
I had an incredible experience with Kelly's Closet! Kelly reached out to me to let me know that they were having a sample sale that gave me more options within my budget, and she squeezed me in on short notice to look at dresses that day. Gia was my consultant, and she was great about hyping me up and making me feel beautiful. I found a stunning sample dress at an unbelievable price, and I couldn't be happier with my experience!
loved my dress and veil from here! Overall had a good experience, except they hadn't updated their COVID policies when I visited so my sister who had flown in from Texas wasn't able to shop with me.
LOVE my dress from Kelly's Closet. I actually purchased mine though an online sample sale after COVID first hit. They gave me some time after it was delivered to try on and return it if I needed to, but I loved it immediately! They were very attentive and checked in on me to make sure the delivery and dress were just what I wanted -- and it was!
Getting a dress here was one of the best decisions I could’ve made. Everyone was so kind and encouraging! They really care about helping you find the right dress and they are all incredibly skilled. Thank you for making my dress experience such a fun one :)
I decided to go to Kelly's Closet because one of my favorite designers was having a trunk show there. I don't live in Atlanta so I had to drive a few hours to get there, but I'm so glad I did! Kelly's Closet is a gem. They have really beautiful romantic/vintage-y/bohemian gowns, and I wanted to try them all on! And I loved the home-y, boutique-y vibe. The service at Kelly's is top-notch. Annie helped me, and she listened attentively to what I envisioned. She helped me pick out several dresses to try on, so I could narrow down what I liked and didn't like. This was my first visit to a bridal salon, and I'm so glad she guided me and pulled recommendations for me. I ended up loving a dress that wasn't even by the designer I came to see! Although I did not buy that dress in the end, I had a really fun, informative experience. I highly recommend Kelly's Closet to any bride in the Atlanta area, or any bride looking for something a little different.
Did not end up actually purchasing from here but had the most enjoyable appointment! The consultant was so attentive and I felt like she really understood my taste and budget. They had a decently diverse selection for a smaller store
The process of finding and purchasing a wedding dress at Kelly's Closet was a real dream! I had been looking online at wedding dresses for a while before I stepped into any stores and chose Kelly's Closet to visit first because of all of the beautiful independent designers they carried. The store is cozy and relaxed, and everyone working there made me immediately feel at ease. I found my dress during that first visit to the store, and the rest of the process went seamlessly. They kept me up to date as the dress was being made and shipped to the store, and their in house seamstress was wonderful. The care and attention she put into altering my dress was amazing. I couldn't have been happier! Thank you, Kelly's Closet!!
I met with the owner of Kelly’s for my bridal dress appointment and she was wonderful! The vibe of this shop is unique and for a bride looking for something a little different. She was encouraging and honest which I loved! The dresses were all different and the designers were those you don’t see often in other boutiques. I would recommend any bride who is looking for something a little different with fun character to come here!!!
I was living in Atlanta when I got engaged and went to look at multiple wedding shops before I happened upon Kelly's Closet. Katie helped me try on multiple dresses until I found the perfect one. A few months after ordering my dressed I moved back to New Orleans. When my dress came in Kelly's Closet was able to ship it straight to me. I am so happy they helped me find my wedding dress, it was so beautiful!
I loved working with the ladies at Kelly’s Closet! They made the process so easy and I am thrilled that I bought my dress from them!
Walking into Kelly's closet I was nervous and stressed out from my previous bridal experience, they immediately handed me champagne and right off the bat they made me feel like a bride (which was the first time I had truly felt like a bride). Kelly (the owner - yes the freakin owner!) helped me on my special day and she was beyond awesome. She helped me find what looked best on my body and also what fit in my price range. She didn't want put me in a dress that everyone had, which was my one request I wanted it to be uniquely me. After I tried on a few dresses I went to another bridal salon which I did not love and I asked Kelly if I could come back - she saw me during off hours to try on my dress again and treated me like a bff and made me feel so special. I highly recommend going to kelly's closet to get the full bride experience. She has accessories, undies, veils, etc. She is a little on the expensive side but the customer experience is worth it.
This place is amazing! They have an array of styles and designers for all budgets! I am between 2 dresses right now at this shop. Madison was my consultant and she was amazing! I made a weekend of dress shopping because I had family in from out of town. I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is! They have so many unique and lovely dresses and made me feel so comfortable! You should definitely go here! This was my 5th store and the only one I care to go back to!
I found my wedding dress at Kelly's Closet, and couldn't be happier. They listened attentively to what I liked and wanted to try. It's a smaller shop, so it didn't feel overwhelming. But they also had a great selection of gowns, especially on the more bohemian and vintage-inspired side of things. In addition to letting me explore on my own, Susan pulled a few things I wouldn't have initially spotted (one of which ended up being the perfect dress for me). Not only that, it was a sample, so I was able to get a great deal. It was such a comfortable and fun experience. Plus, Angela (their head of alterations) was a delight in every way and transformed my already beautiful dress into something more amazing than I could have imagined. Would definitely recommend!
Kelly's Closet is a special place. I had the most amazing consultant (Katie). She made the experience an absolute joy. Every dress was more beautiful than the rest-I have a unique style and was always nervous that I would not find a dress I loved, but the Closet was a dream come true. They got my style immediately-listened to everything I had to say and my main concerns. Also, as someone who has struggled with body image it was such a validating and body positive experience. If you are a bit of a funky, bohemian or just different bride this place is your dream. Everything about the experience was warm, inviting, intentional, and special. I will always remember my day here, it was truly phenomenal.
I love Kelly and her amazing team! I don't have enough nice things to say about all of these ladies and the work that they put in to help me feel comfortable and beautiful and loved through the dress buying process!
An ice storm in Atlanta threatened to cancel my weekend trip to find a wedding dress. I called Kelly's Closet, almost in tears, because my other appointments had been cancelled because of the ice. They fit me and my small party in and truly saved the whole weekend! I found both my rehearsal dinner dress and my wedding dress that day! I so appreciate how wonderful the staff were and loved that I found my special dress during a trunk show - it is so unique and perfectly me.
I came in from Cleveland, OH to go wedding dress shopping with my family who lives in Atlanta, and my Mom. We made an appointment with Kelly's closet as they carry a designer I had been lusting over online. When we arrived, the stylist seemed preoccupied with another bride who was purchasing a very high-end gown, champagne in hand. We were shown where the gowns I was interested in, then left alone. That's fine, and we didn't end up finding the dress here, but they honestly made us feel less valued as customers, compared to their other client. I hope others receive the positive experience many have shared here- there are lots of beautiful gowns to explore!
This was my very first appointment and it was perfect. I was nervous and excited about trying on dresses and Elizabeth explained the whole process to me and helped me try on a bunch of dresses in my budget so I could get a feel for what I liked. I came during a sample sale, which I highly recommend for anyone with a smaller budget. Mine was $1000 and I found a ton of great dresses to try on! If there hadn't been a sale it might have been a bit out of my range. Kelly, the owner, was also amazing! We were supposed to eat at the restaurant next door right before the appointment (we drove two hours to get to ATL) and when I called to put our name on the list to make sure we had enough time to eat, they said they couldn't do that, even though the week prior a manager had said we could. I called the bridal shop and Kelly herself walked down and talked to the hostess and made sure that we got a table. She really went above and beyond to make sure that my very first experience was great. <3
I really wish I could give Kelly’s a 20 star review! I had the most amazing experience. I went in with a budget in mind, and the selection ran the gambit price wise- each dress was unique, and so many were in a great and reasonable price range for the designers they choose! That’s just the icing, though... I brought a mini entourage- 6 people, and we were all greeted with champagne and warm smiles! Sarah is an absolutely amazing consultant. Her spirit shines and she really worked with me as a bride to make sure I was following my heart! The whole of the staff is lovely, too! Many others came by and added support and loving comments. Their body positivity rules are so refreshing, too! The atmosphere is dreamy and we didn’t feel rushed at all! Rather, we took as much time as we needed, and I was surprised to find that a dress style I wasn’t expecting to love ended up being the dress I chose! Sarah helps you maintain your vision while also thinking outside of the box. Another example of this is her intuition when accessorizing- I wasn’t picturing a veil and when she suggested one to go with my dress, it immediately brought tears to my eyes. She really did help me see myself as a bride! In all, this is an amazing gem! A MUST for brides on the hunt!
Great shop and customer service! The shopping experience was perfect. The women in the store make you feel so comfortable and beautiful. There's so much positively flowing in this store! Highly recommend going here to look for dresses.
Kelly's closet is an intimate, amazing experience. The salon is smaller, so you get a lot of personal attention. They greeted us with glasses of champagne and a smile and made everything so easy. We worked with Sarah as our consultant, and she listened and was very respectful of our budget, but she also used her expertise to suggest some different dresses I hadn't thought of--one of which ended up being the one I loved the most!
The owner, Kelly, is also wonderful and so friendly and easy to work with. We did the alterations in house, and she was very accommodating with my schedule to get to the fittings and offered some times before they even opened. Wonderful place!
This shop was great! I tried on my first ever wedding dress here when I knew nothing and the staff was patient and very helpful. I didn't end up getting my dress here but saw a lot of beautiful options and very much enjoyed my experience.
Great shop with a fun selection! The staff was very kind and helpful while I tried on so many different styles! The designer selection was good, and I actually found my dress during a sample sale that I didn't know was going on that weekend. I would recommend this shop!
I came here from out of town to meet with my family to go dress shopping. Kelly's Closet was our first stop and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The shop was very intimate, with a lot of unique items to choose from. I never expected to find my dress so easily! I felt like I had the entire shop reserved for myself. They also let me buy their sample veil, since I wouldn't have been able to order and receive it in time for the wedding. If you are near Atlanta and want a unique wedding dress experience, I would definitely check Kelly's Closet out!
I bought my wedding dress from Kelly's closet a few months ago and loved my interactions with the staff. They were easy going, friendly, and genuine. I felt very relaxed and special while i was there. The shop is charming and had plenty of space for my two friends during the dress shopping process. I did go during their sample sale and will say it was confusing as every dress was discounted a different percentage but none of the dresses had the discounted priced marked on them. So I learned I had to ask what each dress was priced at before I tried it on to be sure I wasn't trying on gowns that were over my budget. I didn't have a lot of options as I wanted to stay under $2000 but I ended up finding my gown that day and it was gorgeous.
I cannot say enough good things about this amazing boutique!! Having two appointments at other salons before arriving at Kelly's, I arrived discouraged that I wouldn't find my dress that day. All of that changed when I arrived, was greeted with so many friendly faces and a fantastic selection of GORGEOUS dresses! Winston was my hero that day. She was bright, bubbly and made me feel so comfortable! My entourage of family members absolutely adored her! Winston and Kelly made my entire experience an absolute blast and one I will never forget. I found the most perfect dress at Kelly's and I will be recommending them to every bride I meet!!
If I could give Kelly's Closet 10 stars, I would! I traveled there from Florida because I really wanted a Jenny Packham dress, and not only were they the closest JP outfitter to me, but they were also having a trunk show the weekend I visited. My experience at Kelly's Closet was an absolute joy from start to finish. Everyone was so genuinely friendly, especially Madison who helped me find my dress. I can't think of a sweeter, more patient person than her! The boutique was spacious, spotless, and organized, with nice little decorative touches everywhere and appropriate music (Billie Holiday, etc.) to suit the shop's vintage, unique theme. There was little pressure to buy, although I was lucky enough to find the dress of my dreams! I'm so excited to work with the boutique during the upcoming months for my fitting and alterations. As someone who fretted that I wouldn't find the perfect dress, I could not have asked for a more welcoming and enjoyable experience than the one I had at Kelly's Closet. I visited one other bridal boutique later that day, and my two experiences cannot even compare. Kelly's Closet went above and beyond to make my experience a really special one.
Kelly's Closet is a great salon with a lot of different and unique dresses! Madison was my consultant and she was wonderful. She offered suggestions and helped me in and out of dresses to my heart's content. They have a very wide selection of dresses, everything from as formal as it gets to casual/beach weddings. Their dresses are arranged by designer so you really get to see the themes/styles of the collections. I would highly recommend this salon!
This was the most amazing bridal experience I could have imagined. I'm actually getting a yelp account JUST to write this review.
I'm a Claire Pettibone girl, and she's as unique in the bridal industry as you can get. I live in Orlando and the closest place to me that sold her collection was Kelly's Closet. So I made an appointment for two days after speaking with the (lovely) Sarah to actually fly out for their trunk show (The only way I could look at the entire collection as opposed to just a few).
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah (so freaking awesome) and Jenny (the manager who was also there). It was a Thursday, so things were slow, and, because I had travelled so far, they gave me extra time. We had a marathon 4 hour appointment, and Sarah and Jenny were as excited as I was. It was so nice to have people to share this with because my mom (who they helped me facetime with) couldn't be there, nor could anyone else. They were my friends and family for the day.
I found my dress! It's wonderful and unique, and I feel so good about the decision, not only because they allowed me to take my time (and let's face it, try on the entire stock), but because they were so genuine, honest, and warm toward me. If you're in Atlanta or even on the EAST COAST at all, and you're not the traditional bride, GO HERE. They're so super great.
xoxo,
Julie
I searched for my wedding dress high and low in New York (where I currently live) and did not have any luck. A friend suggested Kelly's Closet and I went when I was visiting home in Atlanta and it was a game changer. The trunk show had arrived EARLY and there just happened to be my perfect dress for me. Not only did they have an amazing assortment that was right up my alley and price-point but they were so relaxed and easy to work with. I had to rush as I did not have much time before my wedding but they did not make me feel any panic. I even came back for my fitting and found my rehearsal dinner dress there. It was a one stop shop for me and I loved every minute. Oh and the alterations woman is wonderful too. Yay Kelly's Closet, can't wait to come back with my next engaged friend! XO, Christy
I found my gorgeous Lela Rose gown at Kelly's Closet last year and just had my wedding on Saturday. From start to end, Kelly's Closet was amazing to deal with. They are a beautiful boutique style shop with gorgeous and unique gowns I didn't find anywhere else in Atlanta. Gina, my consultant, provided me a wonderfully personal experience with all of my follow up appointments and fittings. My alterations were also done at Kelly's by Angela. She is an amazingly talented and hilarious woman! I looked forward to all my visits to Kelly's during my planning process and people absolutely raved about my gown. I highly recommend this shop to all brides!
I'm still a little confused by Kelly's closet. Is it a sample dress shop or a bridal salon? I made my appointment this past saturday and was so excited to go as I knew they had many of my favorite designers. However, it was a disappointing visit. Apparently a sample sale was underway and it just seemed kind of chaotic. My budget was $3000 which I thought was excessive in my own estimation. So I'm looking at these sample dresses, but the majority of them were in horrible shape, discolored, ripped, and torn. Honestly, I would be embarrassed to sell those to someone! The way it was organized was weird. I wan't interested in buying a $1000 dress with a giant tear in it and a stained train but to buy it new was out of my price range. It was tedious to figure out what dresses were in my price range and which were not, honestly while it was nice to have my consultant let me look around having a little bit of guidance would have been nice, and liking something and then seeing a huge tear in the lace! I guess I just didn't understand what I was getting myself into, but I wish they would have told me a sample sale was going on before I made my appointment because what I really wanted was a new dress in my price range! I'm glad I made it to another salon that day that was better organized, less chaotic, and not a torn dress in sight.
My experience with Laura was more than I could have hoped for. After trying other wedding dress shops (including a trip to Kleinfelds…) I felt very frustrated and disillusioned by the whole wedding dress experience. I never connected with any of the other salespeople, I felt that they were only interested in commission, and there was nothing special about the experience. Everything changed when I went to Kelly's Closet. Laura let me try on a million different dresses, the whole atmosphere was very calm and enchanted. I truly felt special and I felt that the dresses I was trying on were special. Laura was so genuine and helpful, I felt like I was shopping with an old friend. She truly made my experience a memorable one. I would highly recommend going to Kelly's Closet.
Awesome! :)
I found my perfect wedding dress here after visiting dozens of other stores. The ladies that work here are super nice and do not pressure you to buy anything. Their dresses are very unique and that is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend this store to any bride looking for something special and very unique!
I walked in that store and it was like I had walked back in time. I fell in love with the upscale vintage feel of Kelly's Closet and I knew instantly I would find my gown there. It was an absolutely perfect experience. The staff was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. Bought the 2nd dress I tried on!!!
Fell in love with a Heidi Elnora gown. Found it at Kelly's Closet. It just happened to be on sale! It was almost 1/2 the price of what I found it for the first time. I drove from out of state to pick it up! Very helpful staff! Great experience!!
The service was great at Kelly's Closet, and the choices of dresses is unmatched. I loved my dress so much.
Friendly, personable staff, a gorgeous selection of dresses for a variety of prices, and a tailor thats impeccable. Who could ask for more?
Back story: I always wanted to be a Modern Trousseau bride. As a student at the University of South Carolina, my best friends and I would make weekend trips to Charleston, SC and we'd walk by the MT showroom. One time we walked by, I saw the Almond dress. I was in love with the dress, but didn't have the man, so I kept walking but I always knew that's what I wanted to wear on my big day.
Fast-forward to November 2012. I had been engaged for about six months, my mom was down from Ohio to visit me in Alabama for Thanksgiving, and we decided to partake in a little Black Friday shopping in Atlanta so I made several appointments with bridal shops in ATL, including Kelly's Closet because they carried Modern Trousseau. Kelly's Closet was our first and only stop.
Kelly's was having their version of Black Friday -- sample sale! My mom and I started going through the racks looking for anything by MT that looked like me. Of course, I went straight for the more expensive racks knowing how much my dream dress cost, but when my mother pulled one off the $1000 or less rack our search was over -- she found my dress. The same one that I fell in love with in Charleston about a year and a half earlier.
Kelly's had such a wide array of beautiful dresses, so I tried on several but of course I bought the sample Modern Trousseau right then and there. The dress fit like a glove and was in impeccable repair for having been a sample. The only thing that was somewhat disappointing in Kelly's was their variety of accessories at reasonable prices. I was willing to splurge on the dress, but I didn't really want to spend that much on the accessories, so I bought them elsewhere.
I'd really recommend Kelly's Closet to every bride! Their customer service is amazing, the prices are great (especially in the sample sale), and I know that any girl will feel so special and find their perfect dress here!
I went to several wedding boutiques in Atlanta and this by far was my favorite. Not only did Kelly's closet have all of my favorite styles (lace and unique dresses including Claire Pettibone), but the lady that assisted me was the not pushy at all (compared to ALL the other places I went). She was helpful and honest (sharing TDY ideas that would save me money!).
Kelly's Closet is a very cute boutique with a variety of designers. The staff were very helpful and made it a great experience with me and my bridesmaids and my mom. The prices were what they originally told me, nothing was a surprise.
LOVE the people there. Kaylen was very helpful and so sweet. The seamstress was amazing!
Kelly's Closet is a beautiful boutique shop that has some very rare finds! Designers like Lela Rose and Jenny Packham, and many more that are rare and beautiful. They are great with communication, and the alterations are great as well. She made my veil from the same lace as my dress and it will be an heirloom for my children for sure.
Kelly's Closet is a cute little boutique shop that was much less intimidating, less crowded (with dresses and people), and less noisy than the other dress shops that I went to, and that made a huge difference! Best of all, the girl assigned to help me listened to my preferences and budget and then staid next to me as I looked through all the options, answering my questions and explaining cost-saving alternatives whenever something caught my eye that was a bit over budget (like ordering it in a different lace or showing me a similar style by a different designer).
My bridesmaids, much as I love them, weren't always as price/style conscious as I was when "helping" me pick out dresses, and my assistant was very polite but firm with them in not taking anything back to the dressing room that I didn't OK.
Ultimately, I did buy my dress from here and they were great about updating me with production/arrival times and holding my dress until I was ready to pick it up. I have a friend that is a professional seamstress, so she did my alterations as a wedding gift, but they did offer these services on-site at a reasonable rate.
My vision for my wedding dress was a vintage 1920's gown and Kelly's closet had my dress. They were able to work with me to help create my dress to exactly what I wanted. The alterations were pleasant too.
my dress was AMAZING. I love my dress, still - it was prefect.
The first trip to Kelly's Closet was good. I knew I didn't have a ton of time to pick my dress out - so I only went here & chose my dress on the first day. It is beautiful.
However, when the dress came in & I had my first fitting...it was almost heartbreaking. The dress was SO big that it had to be clamped on me. When I think about it, I still can't believe that a store that specializes in couture wedding dresses could take my measurements & then order a dress that was that BIG. And I can guarantee my body size didn't change! Of course, then I had to pay more than $500 for alterations.
I would recommend going here to find the perfect dress. They have a great selection. However, I would watch what size you order. On the positive side - the alterations lady is LOVELY. She was almost my favorite part of the whole dress buying experience!
I absolutely loved working with Kelly's Closet. They were so nice, never rushed me out after appointments and really helped me find my perfect dress...it's just a really nice place to be and they make the whole dress shopping experience memorable and positive.
The girls helped me find my dream dress and coordinate alterations - very helpful
If you are looking for a more intimate experience shopping for your gown, this is a great choice. Their dress selection is well edited and extensive without feeling overwhelming. The staff is patient and friendly...not a single pretentious, salesy person in the store. My hesitation about giving 5 stars is because the associate that I had been working with left the store and so there was a long communication gap before I had to call the store to get status on my dress.
If you're looking for a dress that's a little different, head to Kelly's Closet. A small shop, but jam packed with unusual gowns from small designers. I bought my Jenny Packham 1930's style dress here and everyone was in love with it. Service is great, everyone is very nice and helpful. One caveat, be upfront with your budget, because they don't always ask here, and may end up showing you some very lovely, but VERY expensive dresses. (they were fun to try on though!) Alterations seemed quite expensive here ($300 for a hem?) but having never had a wedding dress hemmed before, for all I know that's perfectly reasonable.
I am not from Atlanta, but came into town with a group of friends/family to find the perfect dress. After a full day of searching for dresses, with few real options resulting, we called Kelly's Closet to see if they could accommodate a last minute appointment. I arrived to the boutique at 5:00PM, and they kept the store open long into the evening to make sure I found the exact dress that I wanted. They have a variety of dresses that are different than your average store, and the prices range from about $1,000 to over $10,000. In my opinion, they have something for everyone. It is a classy boutique, and I would recommend any friend to go there!
