Every detail of our wedding was magical, thanks to Candy and Victoria at The Kennedy Estate. They were helpful day of and coordinating everything. The venue is absolutely beautiful and they have another barn full of decor you can use - or bring your own. The bartenders were exceptional and overall it was an amazing experience. So glad we chose to have our wedding there
Kennedy estate is wonderful, I booked them and they’re reasonably priced and ACTUALLY all inclusive. The price you see is what you get. The only extra charges are for the bar, and they run their bar as a total amount instead of pay per head which saves a ton of money. They have a decor barn too which is super helpful, free to utilize. Super organized staff, and will keep your day super on track. When we had small issues they fixed them immediately, and were so helpful with taking things down at the end of the night. I can not recommend them enough!
Kennedy Estates went above and beyond every expectation we had for our wedding. The day of coordinators truly kept me from worrying about the small details and dealt with all of our vendors that came in the day of. While I was freaking out about the rain, the staff at Kennedy estates seamlessly transitioned us into an indoor ceremony and we had an absolute blast. 10/10 would recommend to anyone
I cannot say enough about this venue- it was absolutely perfect for our wedding day! The venue itself is beautiful and so spacious, but the event staff & manager are even better! Candy’s professionalism & communication from day 1 was nothing short of outstanding. She was always so quick to respond and answer any of the questions my husband & I had! She was SO organized and prepared for all of our planning meetings & really made sure we had everything we needed to have the wedding day of our dreams. Victoria, our day of coordinator, was such a joy to be around and really took all the stress off my husband & I on our special day. We will be forever thankful we chose to get married at this venue, and definitely recommend to anyone wanting a barn-style wedding!
when we first went to the venue, we were blown away. We met with the owner Kim, she was amazing and her story of how the venue came to be was beautiful. The venue is amazing! Us and all of our guests loved it. It is spacious and it is fun. It feels like you are walking into a whole new world. we loved it. Below, is not the about venue or the owner, but the event manager who runs it that ruined our experience. I would be careful when working with Candy, the event manager. she wasn’t willing to hear our vision and kept pushing for the “this is how we do it“ vision. With many of the plans we wanted, she pushed and had an alternative. Each interruption she expressed concern of not being able to deliver and used excuses such as crew set up, etc. It was a very uncomfortable environment. We decided that we were going to have an open bar. Initially we had decided at a limit to which then the bar would become a cash bar. As you can imagine, once the party started, we raised the limit, and we did so confidently and willingly. To our surprise, on our open tab, the bartenders, being paid a high hourly rate, were drinking on the job. I saw it with my own eyes. At the time I didn’t know how to handle it and didn’t want to ruin my wedding day with confrontation. After the wedding, I called Candy and expressed concerns about the bartenders drinking on the job, on our open tab. Her response delivery was unprofessional, her demeanor was aggressive and her emotional approach was offensive and rude. I don’t think I’ve experienced gaslighting in a professional conversation to date until this conversation. Her immediate response was that I was not going to get a refund and that it sounded like I was upset after the fact of what we had spent. In fact, her exact words were, “it seems like you’re upset now that you’ve realized your tab is over $5,000.” Laughable. She must have never had expenses for a wedding.
I hadn’t asked for anything at all to which I noted and her response verbatim to that was “well then what is the point of this conversation.” I was left speechless. I had started the conversation with acknowledging and taking accountability for increasing our limit willingly and without regret. But her audacity was extremely offensive. She was not friendly, endearing, or apologetic. In fact, she blamed us. She made no space for sympathy and took zero accountability for the fraudulent actions of her bartenders. The fact that the bartenders were drinking on the job is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional, and the situation was not handled at all. if you are working with Candy, beware. Speak up, state boundaries and be specific even when it feels like she’s bullying you.
At one point in the conversation, she told me that she is done with this conversation and will follow up by sending me an itemized receipt and would speak to the owner. Feeling attacked and unheard, I asked if I would be able to speak to the owner myself, to which she said she (Candy) is the one who makes the final decisions, but would speak to the owner to see if she would be WILLING to talk to me and if so, would call me. Candy phoned me back shortly after we hung up more rude than before, more dismissive, more unprofessional, And more callous. I expressed to her directly how she had made me feel and how hurt I was, she ended our conversation with this verbatim “do what you feel like you need to do.” So to my brides and grooms, be very careful. Do not work with this woman.
My husband & I were not going to dedicate any more time to this business by writing a review, but we feel as though we could save other couples a ton of stress, disappointment, & heartbreak by sharing our experience.
The process of booking took a variety of frustrating turns throughout the planning process. Major parts of the event space & planning changed & no communication was provided. The name changed & we had to reprint invitations, patios were added without notice, a new “theme” was included, desired decor was removed, etc. We always only discovered these changes via visits or socials. Additionally, the planning periods for our event that we were originally promised turned into open houses that were unhelpful. This process was frustrating & strenuous as we then had to update our own wedding supplies & decor plans with other vendors.
Nothing compares to how horribly we were treated on our wedding day itself. Because of many communication issues leading up to our event, the manager, Kim, stated that we could begin our event set up on Friday instead of Saturday. Upon arrival, not only were all of the supplies missing for our own event, we also had to remove decor from the past wedding. We were promised that our tables, chairs, linens, & the venue’s decor that we had paid to use would be set up for us. Nothing existed. My wedding party & I became responsible for everything including turning on the lights, turning off an alarm, & finding a way to close the barn to rain.
The day of our event was a complete disaster. The person who I had been in communication with when planning was not only not at the event, but also had shared no documents with the new coordinator. They did not have our timeline, decor order, floor plan, bar plan…nothing we had completed in advance was there. Additionally, the venue decor was missing/lost. My florist was removing old displays from the past event, taking time away from the set up for ours. I was constantly answering questions about the day because our timeline was never shared. We were then unable to rehearse the ceremony with our officiant morning-of. More importantly, time with my friends & family, most of whom traveled from out of state, was lost forever.
The getting ready space was a nightmare. The bridal suite had no hooks, so we were unable to hang our dresses. The vanity had been removed & nothing had taken its place, so my hair/make-up stylist had to work off of the floor. My MOH demanded the vanity be returned because otherwise there would have been no place for pre-ceremony photos. There were men reinstalling the vanity into the space as our photographer arrived at 2, & my bridesmaids were asked to help with the process. Also, we had paid for pre-ceremony drinks. This also was not noted in our paperwork. By the time I had a moment to step away from recouping all of our lost time & decor to ask for the drinks, it was after 2. We had no time to enjoy the service with our party. Even during the reception itself, I was still answering questions like “when will your dances be” & “when and where will you cut your cake” instead of enjoying the time with our guests.
Due to the manager’s poor communication & lack of focus, our day was almost completely ruined. Looking back on the day, I don’t feel a sense of magic and wonder. There is mostly a lingering anxiety and panic.
After a phone conversation where the owner focused on hearing “all sides” we were refunded for the pre-ceremony drinks.
This venue was incredible to work with. And the layout was so perfect considering the circumstances with covid. I liked how I was able to bring in any vendors I’d wanted. I cannot recommend this venue enough!
This venue was beyond perfect for my husband and I. It was a gorgeous setting with a lot of flexibility when it comes to where to locate the ceremony. The staff are so helpful and the meetings we had with them leading up to the wedding put my mind at ease. They also give you a day of coordinator that hands down was the reason everything flowed so well throughout the event. I would recommend the Barn at Kennedy Farm to anyone who asks!
I cannot recommend this venue enough! Not only is the Barn itself gorgeous and breathtaking, but the staff is so kind and really helps to create the day you dream of (especially Jen)! I will recommend this venue to anyone I know!!
This place—not only breathtakingly beautiful and picturesque—has amazing staff who take genuine interest and care in making your wedding day the best! I greatly appreciate them all, specifically Jen, and cannot brag on them enough. Not one complaint at all!
The Barn at Kennedy Farm was absolutely amazing. I am still receiving compliments from our guests. As a part of the venue cost, you receive a day-of coordinator who meets with you twice before and is there to make sure everything runs smoothly the day of your wedding. We had Julie and she is wonderful! I could not praise her enough. The venue is stunning on its own and doesn't require much in decor. They have an air conditioned tower for everyone to get ready beforehand. I was only concerned about the comfort of the barn in the middle of summer, but they do a great job keeping it cool! With the doors open and the big fans, it was perfectly comfortable. Another big plus for us was that we could use any vendor we wanted. I have no regrets with having our wedding here. It was perfect.
We were absolutely in love with the Barn when we first visited it, and we still are to this day. The Barn is an incredibly beautiful venue, and it will forever be a cherished place for us. Our wedding guests gave us and our families comment after comment about how beautiful it was!! The staff are also phenomenal. We worked with Bree as our day-of coordinator and we could not have asked for any better service! The owner Kim, and all other support staff did an amazing job as well. This place is elegant, unique, and so flexible/accommodating to bring your vision for the day to life. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Barn. We even had some rainy weather, but the day (and our photos) were still fabulous! If you have your wedding ceremony and/or reception at the Barn you will not regret it :)
Very poor experience with this venue. Kim was incredibly disorganized and getting ahold of her was nearly impossible. I would never have an event here again.
The Barn at Kennedy Farm is a magical venue with a staff that bends over backwards to make sure you have the special day of your dreams. Julie was our Day of Coordinator and she took all the stress out of our big day. The Barn at Kennedy Farm received some of the best compliments from our guests and looked absolutely wonderful. Between the staff and the venue, I can't imagine a better place to have a wedding!!!
What a fantastic experience with The Barn at Kennedy Farm. We got married in November and had such a beautiful wedding there. Melia, our day of coordinator, was awesome. She had such attention to detail and constantly made sure we had everything we needed. Our photographers loved all the options provided by the Barn. Our pictures turned out to be amazing with all the fall colors. When the sun went down, the barn lit up with so many great lights. We loved that the barn was one flat price, other places try to nickel and dime you with everything. Call early - they fill up quick.
Venue itself is gorgeous and we loved our pictures. Melia was wonderful! Would have liked more responsiveness to our questions pre-2 month meeting.
I cannot say enough good things about TBAKF! The venue is just incredibly beautiful, and the folks there are so awesome to work with. Everything is included in the price, and they're very open about which vendors you use. The best part, though, is that they provide a day-of coordinator to help you make it through the day. (Shout-out to Melia because she was INCREDIBLE!!) She was there helping us decorate that morning, make sure the ceremony ran smoothly and even making sure I had punch ready and waiting when I got to my table. Our day was perfect, and everyone who came raved about the event, the food--everything. This place is worth every cent!! Also--your photos will be incredible. There are so many beautiful backdrops to choose from!
Our wedding was on May 14th, 2017, and my wife and I were very blessed by the professionalism, hospitality, and "go-get-'em attitude" of Kim, Kris, and the whole crew at The Barn at Kennedy Farm. At one point, we were going to run out of ice, so the venue worked together with our caterer and coffee caterer, got all the details worked out, and then sent someone out to grab extra bags of ice, informed us after the fact so we wouldn't get stressed about it on the day of, and completely resolved it without adding to our worry on that day.
We loved having our wedding there, though, not "only" because of the professionalism and friendliness of the crew, but also because of the natural beauty of the venue! When we started looking for a place, we were hoping for a place that looked organic, but not dirty, beautiful, but not sterile, elegant, but approachable. And the Barn at Kennedy Farm was all of these things. The venue itself is so great for both outdoor and indoor weddings (i've seen both here), and I can't say enough good things about them! If you're considering it, book with them! They're worth it.
My only suggestion: This place books up quick because it's getting really popular, so try to schedule out a year in advance if you can!
We used Barn at Kennedy Farm on 3/25/17 for our wedding and it was absolutely AMAZING! It was the perfect place to hold the wedding of my dreams. From the beginning of the planning process until the end of the reception, we were extremely satisfied. The Barn looks exactly like the pictures; it is gorgeous! Kim, the owner is great to work with and she supplies wedding planners that help with the process and the day of. The wedding planners were great as well! They had great suggestions and for the price, it's a great deal! There are so many props and items that you can use of theirs which helps you save a ton of money! Everyone at the Barn was so friendly and nice to work with. We have heard so many compliments from the guests about how amazing the venue was. I cannot say enough good things about our experience and this venue. I would choose this site again in a heartbeat! HIGHLY recommend!!!
Best venue ever.. Seriously. I've been a part of several weddings this year and this was by far the best venue I've experienced. They have a wonderful day of coordinator who helps with the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. This is a venue that you wouldn't even need to decorate if you didn't want to.. It's beautiful as is, but very easy to put your own unique spin on to make it special. They don't require specific vendors but do make excellent suggestions to get you started. I couldn't find a single thing to complain about if I tried. I suggest having a Friday wedding, because it gives you an entire day Thursday to set up and rehearse (made everything much less stressful). They definitely made our special day absolutely perfect.. Very very happy with this venue!
My wedding was in July, and the staff at the barn was more than willing to accommodate all of my requests for the ceremony placed in the shade, adding fans, and use of cooling condensers. The beauty of the barn makes decorating such an easy task because it is naturally gorgeous! Ivory linens were included and added such an elegant touch to the atmosphere. The chandelier in the middle of the barn is perfect for first dance pictures, and adds a romantic touch. Lighting is absolutely GORGEOUS! Has tons of options for decorations and alters. I used a cross for my ceremony alter, but there is also a beautiful wooden arch that can be used. The benches are perfect for an outdoor ceremony and fit all 225 of my guests comfortably. It was magical walking down the stairs out the back door of the barn! I loved the dramatic bridal entrance with the big barn doors opening as I walked out to my groom. There are tons of areas to plug in for electricity (an outlet by every tree out in the back! ) The barn allowed all of my caterers to come and set up on the day of my wedding, and the vendors did not have to be specifically associated with the barn. The barn made my day a fairytale. Even though the wedding was outside in the heat of July, the barn staff made the day extremely comfortable and enjoyable! We danced the night way and had a wonderful day! The bridal room and groom's room in the tower are both air conditioned, allowing the wedding party to prep in a cool environment, regardless of the weather. The bathroom is also air conditioned, allowing guests to retreat to a cooler area if needed. I loved the barn and I would recommend it to anyone!
All our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was. The barn is gorgeous and exactly what we were envisioning for our wedding. Also, it's a packaged price so you just pay one amount and receive everything instead of having to pay individually for each chair and table and what not. This was the only barn we could find that didn't have a lot of hidden fees! You won't regret having your wedding here.
