We initially booked Adriana & Phil for our fall wedding. I fell in love with their work. We were super excited; but unfortunately due to our recent experience, I have to share their professionalism made me question how they have sympathy for pe...ople. My fiancé and I lost his stepfather. Due to this, we had to cancel our destination wedding. Thankfully, we were able to get a partial refund on our venue because of our unforeseen circumstances. My fiancé reached out to Adriana to inform her of our cancellation and to see if there’s a chance to get any kind of partial refund. Understandably, a non-refundable deposit was denied and we weren’t able to receive anything back. That again, was understandable. What we did not appreciate was Adriana stating it was an inconvenience for us to cancel, because that is a weeks worth of income loss on their part. Are you kidding me?! Losing my FIL to a MVA is such an inconvenience for you??? Then she continued to tell him that if we didn’t give them a written notice within 90-days, we would be responsible for the entire cost. We are 151 days out. When my fiancé said “That’s no issue.” She continued to ask “when will you be able to send that? Because we have to book that day. We are a wife-husband business, and again, that’s a whole week’s worth of income.” The way she handled it was completely disgraceful, humiliating, and heartbreaking. I have been in tears all afternoon. The business aspect is 100% understanding; but as a human, it was disgusting how she made comments that the loss of a loved one is an inconvenience to us canceling. She didn’t even send her condolences or sympathize with the loss. I am so glad we will not be working with them. Be sure to interview and know your vendor before having them be a part of your special day.
