Thank you Kimberly Crest House & Gardens for the most beautiful day. Working with April and Tonja was effortless. They were always willing to work with us to make sure our wedding day was perfect. Their response time to e-mails and phone calls was excellent as well. We always received service with a smile and a cheerful attitude. Yes, it was a tad on the expensive side and we had to have everything bought in, but in the long run it was the perfect backdrop to the best day of our lives.
I was in love with this place online. I wanted...no, NEEDED to be married there. I get there to tour the place and I must say, I was very disappointed. Not a good value. It is actually pretty small. The best part of it was the bride's room.
We had our 9/2/2012 wedding at the Carriage House and it was perfect. Yes, there is limited parking but they also provide a parking attendant for free. It is one of the only venues we could find that would let us bring our own food vendors in, and that was very helpful because we wanted vegan catering. Amanda, the new venue coordinator is INCREDIBLE. She came in in the middle of our planning process, taking over for the old coordinator, and picked it up smoothly. She and the venue were completely flexible and accommodating when we wanted to do some things differently than they usually do at the venue (ceremony and dinner outside, dancing inside). She is calm, friendly, and organized, keeping everything together in her file, and really goes above and beyond the duties of a coordinator who isn't paid outside of the venue rental fee. She helped meet and greet all our vendors, facilitated the rehearsal, helped with set up and cleanup, and really ensured everything went smoothly. I felt completely confident her and she exceeded my expectations. The venue itself is beautiful-- so happy we chose to have our wedding there!
Let me first say my wedding was absolutely beautiful. My wedding planner Elizabeth was awesome. She was incredibly helpful, cared about my needs, knowledgable, she answered any questions or concerns i had through out the wedding planning process. However, 3 or 4 months before my wedding my fiance and i went to Kimberly Crest to figure out the layout of our wedding. When we walked up the stairs the Koi pond was blocked off with yellow tape, the pond was compleatly drained, wild life and plant life was compleatly removed, tools were around the Koi pond as if they had been working on it. In a panic i contact Elizabeth via facebook emediatly telling her i just saw the Koi pond and wanted to know what was happening with it and will is be fixed and put back together the way i had seen it previously when i signed a contract with them. She assured me that the Koi Pond just has a leak and they are in the process of renovating it to fix the pump and to not worry everything will be fixed and beautiful for my upcoming May wedding. Please Note my cocktail hour was set to be taking place around the Koi pond for its pure beauty. A month before my wedding my fiance and i met with Elizabeth for our final planning meeting and i follow up to make sure the Koi pond is done.. Well she tells me no it is not fixed and it looks horrible. She said she was working on making sure it was fixed for my wedding day but the director of Kimberly crest isnt doing anything to fix the pond and it is out of her controll but she is trying to make it beautiful for me. Well I called Elizabeth a week prior to my wedding to make sure everything was perfect and ready for the big day. She goes on to tell me the Koi pond still looks like crap but they will fill it with water. I asked for the directors phone number to contact him. She said he doesnt answer his phone nor does he call people back and the best way to contact him was via email. Well my mother in law and i were pissed. My mother in law does not like using the computer so she was persistant and called the director MANY times. He finally called her back and she let him know that the koi pond WILL have plant life in the pond and if it does not she will be filling the pond with the plant life and he will be recieving the bill. He said he would make sure to get some plant life in the pond and to not worry. Well the wedding day came and there was probably 4 plants in the whole pond in there plastic pots from the store so the dirt from the plants were floating everywhere. The water was green you could see the aweful holes in the pond. The grass on the property looked like it hadnt been fertilized in months. The fountain water was disguting green. It was aweful. I signed a contract with this venue promising to my part of the deal and they signed the contract stating everything that would be provided on my wedding day and that what i see on this day of signing would be the same beauty i will see the day of. None of those things were provided. The womens bathroom smelled aweful someone clogged the toilet and i notified someone to fix it, it was not fixed. Bottom line they did not deliver what was promised to me on my wedding day and did not occomidate me in anyway. My wedding day was the best day of my life and was beyond gorgous but it is not ok that they did not follow through on what was promised on my contract. We both signed the contract and they did not deliver, dissapointing!
You can't beat the venue for views and places to take pictures. It was a very comfortable setting for our small wedding, even though it would accommodate a much larger wedding as well. The on-site coordinator helped get everything in order, got things started, and our day went off without a hitch. Only drawback is that everything is separate cost from the venue: chairs, lighting, sound system, bartender, etc.
You cannot find another venue quite as beautiful as Kimberly Crest! It is such a jewel in the inland empire! Everyone was raving about how beautful it was. And Elizabeth our wedding coordinator from the venue was a sweetheart and went over and above to make our day a dream come true!
We rented the Carriage House in Prospect Park for our summer evening wedding. The hall can seat 100 people very comfortably. It was great to have an indoor, air-conditioned space while still being surrounded by the beautiful park. Elizabeth, the wedding coordinator, was fantastic! She kept the ceremony running smoothly and was eager to help with any problem. She's also an awesome person. I highly recommend this location for an intimate wedding in the park!
Kimberly Crest is a beautiful place, the setting was romantic, historical, and well kept.
The coordinator was great, she answered any questions I had and recommended great vendors for my event. Even with misty weather the pictures were better than I could imagine. Highly recommend.
The gardens are beautiful, it was nice to have two separate areas to set up the ceremony and reception. It is very picturesque;Get everything in writing. Especially what facilities will be available for your use.
