We got married here August 2024. It was a dream come true. The venue is huge, beautiful, and has a ton of amenities and areas to keep guests busy all weekend long. Becky is incredibly helpful and made everyday before and during the wedding so amazing. She helped with vendor recommendations and examples from past weddings. They are accommodating and really let you take charge and create the wedding of your dreams. We were able to bring our own golf carts which became essential in driving around the giant venue to deliver items during set up or deliver grandmothers after dinner. The cabins are lovely and the guests loved the rustic feel. The barn is huge and fit 130 of us with a giant dance floor. You cannot beat the lake access either, the day after the wedding we all swam for most of the morning reliving the night before.
Run do not walk to book with them, you won’t regret it!
Kingsley Pines was the perfect setting for our wedding weekend, and we cannot recommend it enough! From start to finish, Becky and the entire staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making the planning process smooth and stress-free.
Our guests absolutely loved the variety of activities available during their free time. From kayaking and swimming to relaxing by the campfire, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Many of our friends and family told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended!
One of the biggest highlights for us was the on-site accommodations. Having everyone stay together eliminated the stress of driving after the wedding and gave our guests the chance to relax and fully immerse themselves in the experience. It created a warm, friendly community where friends and family who had never met before grew close by the end of the weekend. With guests traveling in from all over, this was especially meaningful.
For those who never got the chance to attend camp as kids, Kingsley Pines provided a fun and nostalgic experience. The cabins, the lake, and the overall camp vibe made the weekend feel unique and unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a venue that combines natural beauty, excellent service, and an unforgettable sense of camaraderie, Kingsley Pines is the place. It was everything we dreamed of and more!
Literally the wedding weekend of our dreams! Kingsley Pines was perfect summer camp to spend a weekend—perfect mix of cozy, fun, beautiful. The whole camp team was fantastically helpful. We had many wedding guests say it was one of their favorite venues they’ve ever been to!
My husband and I got married in June 2023 at Kingsley Pines and had an amazing experience! Our main contact, Becky, was warm, organized, and extremely responsive throughout the whole process. Becky worked well with our various vendors and made all day-of logistics seem seamless. Once we arrived onsite for our wedding weekend, we were greeted by a wonderful team of staff who helped us pull off the wedding of our dreams. One staff member even took time out of their day to play tennis with one of my young nephews. Not only is the Kingsley Pines team skilled at event management, but their skill and experience as camp counselors and community builders came through in all that they did.
One of our priorities for selecting a wedding venue was finding a place where all of our guests would be able to stay onsite if they wanted to. The more deluxe cabins were perfect for our older guests who wanted a more hotel-like stay, and even the more “rustic” cabins exceeded our expectations. Although we had initially been concerned that some of our guests might be too tall to sleep in twin beds, everyone fit comfortably. Another concern days before the wedding was that folks in some of the unheated cabins might be chilly overnight when the temperature dropped, but Kingsley Pines provided plenty of extra blankets and everyone was warm.
It was truly an idyllic wedding - the kind that friends and family members are still raving about. The wedding ceremony under the tree was absolutely stunning, the grounds were well kept, and all games/activities were accessible to us throughout the weekend. Kids and adults had a ball playing pickleball, tennis, basketball, tetherball, lawn games, and jumping off the rope swing into the lake. The kitchen was perfect for our needs and had everything we needed to cook our own meals as a group of 160. We were able to use the stove tops, ovens, commercial dishwasher, ice machine, and walk-in refrigerator.
But don’t just take it from us! My brother has mentioned several times wanting to go back to Kingsley Pines every few years for a family reunion. We (and I think our whole guest list would agree) would be thrilled to relive that weekend. If you are thinking about having your wedding or special event at Kingsley Pines, we cannot recommend it highly enough!
Kingsley Pines was such a magical place to have our wedding and I am sooo thankful we chose here to have our wedding! It was such a unique experience for us and all our guests, and already guests told us it was one of the most memorable weddings they had been to because of the atmosphere and the welcoming staff at Kingsley Pines. The fact you have to whole camp to yourselves allows you to have a blank slate and they work effortlessly to take and vision you may have and bring it into life. They had so many vendor recommendations and worked with you every step of the way to make sure everything fell into place and to make sure they were maximizing everything they could do for your and your party. We will always have the most fond memories of Kingsley Pines and I definitely recommend this vendor to anyone looking for a venue that will truly be so magical and unique. And people might just say it was the best wedding they have ever been to ;)
With the help of the awesome team at Kingsley Pines, we created a vow renewal ceremony with our family and friends that was, quite simply, an incredible weekend of fun. The venue is outstanding -- beautiful lake, gorgeous facilities, well-appointed cabins and lots of open spaces for activities. The staff helped with the planning and were there for every detail during the weekend. We wholeheartedly recommend them for your wedding or celebration!
Getting married at Kingsley Pines was truly an amazing experience and exceeded all the expectations we had for our wedding. The few days we spent at the camp will be a once in a lifetime memory and they went above and beyond to make it that way. The staff was so focused on making it the wedding we wanted and were so helpful with the entire process.
My wife and I married at Kingsley Pines at the end of September, 2022. Our original 2020 date had to be postponed due to COVID, but the venue was very easy to work with and offered fair options while we were making the difficult decision on how to proceed. We are so happy we decided to wait and have the wedding we wanted at KP! Despite some unseasonal rain and cold (Maine in the fall, we were prepared), the weekend was wonderful and we couldn’t have had a more beautiful day for the ceremony. The campground staff was helpful and easy to work with, stood by for support but also let us do our thing. Our guests all had a great time relaxing and enjoying the beach and grounds, getting to know each other or catching up, exactly what we hoped for an experience for everyone. Most who weren’t local and didn’t stay on site stayed at the Microtel down the road and were plenty comfortable as well. Taxis or rideshares getting to the venue were easy to come by for our guests but for getting from the venue back out many relied on friends and family with personal or rental cars. There are nearby stores for supplies and the campground’s kitchen (including icemaker and walk-in fridge) were available for use which was very helpful. We were able to use the indoor spaces like the dining hall, main lodge and big barn for different meals and events throughout the weekend which was very useful and helpful. We found the dining hall or outdoor area near it useful for the meals other than the reception, held in the barn, and the lodge proved to be the favorite for unscheduled hang outs. The big fire pit by the lake was put to good use most evenings. Some of the cabins for guests are fairly rustic (no a/c or heat) but most have their own bathroom and bedding is provided. Two of our vendors had worked at KP before which was helpful since they knew the grounds ahead of time. I would suggest asking your vendors to do a walk through to make sure they get the layout of the property. All in all, Kingsley Pines provided the perfect weekend campground experience we were hoping for ourselves and our guests for our wedding, thanks!
Shout out to Dan and Izzy for the communication and help leading up to the weekend as well as providing help during the celebration.
We had a beautiful wedding planned at this venue and we're still planning it when COVID-19 hit. We got an email a week after saying we are still all set with our plans with news that we had a choice to make. We could move 2 years out (we booked in the beginning of 2019), limit our guest list, or decide to not get a whole refund. This was right after sending us the email that we're all set. Eventually after stating we should get a full refund because COVID-19 and a really poorly written contract on their part, we had to hire a lawyer. We still didn't receive the full refund and they then stated we could've brought as many guests as we saw appropriate after limiting it initially. We were extremely disappointed in the owner, who only cares about our money and not the overall state of the economy or his poorly written contract. The owner used vague threats to us and was postering the whole time. If we had the funds to fight for our refund we would have. Make sure to read contracts and clarify everything if you do go here, they are a hassle to work with and slow to respond. I hope they realize they took money from a COVID-19 registered nurse and an essential worker in a time of desperate need. Beware.
This is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Maine. You must check this place out. We had the most beautiful and amazing wedding here. It was the best day of my life and having it at Kingsley Pines was the perfect setting. It fit our vision for our wedding perfectly, rustic elegance. It has all the charm you could ever want -- rock fireplaces, old paddles and canoes hanging from the ceiling, rustic lighting. It's gorgeous. We used all four spaces on the venue--ceremony took place at the water's edge under the most big beautiful oak tree, cocktail hour was in the main lodge, dinner in the dinning hall on the water and dancing and cake in the playhouse (barn). All our guests raved about how fun it was to move from one spot to the next. Drew Taylor and Angie Cole are wonderful to work with. They are extermely responsive and willing to help in anyway they can. You can rent the entire grounds (cabins for guests, fields to utilize, swimming, rope swing, campfires) for $7500. I highly recommend this location. If I could relive my wedding day over and over again, I would in a heartbeat.
Kingsley pines summer camp was the perfect place for our wedding. it is a beautiful setting on panther pond, there are many activites for guests to keep themselves busy, many buildings to choose from to use for reception, the staff is friendly and helpful and it is very laid back. Everyone had an amazing weekend, lots of fun for all ages. We especially enjoyed the rope swing, canoes, and camp fires! we rented out the whole entire camp for the entire friday through sunday and all of our guest stayed at the camp in the cabins. Most of the cabins had their own bathrooms and were very comfortable, not fancy but comfortable.
