My fiancé and I went to Knight’s Chambers after checking out Mens Warehouse for a tux rental. We were disappointed by the lack of knowledge and personalization from Mens Warehouse so we found an alternative at Knight’s Chamber.
We were so impressed by the care and service we received. For my wedding, I originally planned to rent a Tux and was hoping for this to match/compliment my wife. I met with the owner himself, Chris, and was given a run-through of suit/tux options and came to the decision to buy a 3 piece suit. Chris also did a fantastic job of finding a sport coat and outfit to match my wife during our cocktail hour on a different day. After a series of visits with a consultation and a couple fitting checkups, we ended up buying the suit, shirt, belt, ties, socks, shoes, and other parts of my clothes at an affordable price.
Thank you Chris and the team for helping us and going above and beyond to create my wedding weekend style!
We ordered suits for the groom, groomsmen, dads, and ushers from Knights Chamber. The people are super helpful and friendly. All of our suits came in plenty of time for the wedding and were nice quality. My only complaint is that some of the guys were not notified when their suits came in, so they were unaware that they had arrived.
Everyone here was very kind and they have a wide variety of options as far as suit colors and styles. We successfully ordered suits for the wedding party from here, but, unfortunately, the groom's suit was too small. By the time we found this out, they couldn't order the next size up. They did their best to find us a new suit in the correct size and in a similar color, but we weren't completely happy with the fit of the new suit. We didn't have any other choice though so we went with it. It turned out ok and the groom looked wonderful on the wedding day, but if you're between jacket sizes, make sure they order the larger size! Also, I wish they would have paid more attention to the shirts they gave the wedding party since they knew we weren't having anyone wear ties. Some of the shirts had a navy and white pattern on the inside of the collar that was noticeable without the ties.
We went to the store in January prior to our end of May wedding. We loved the suits they had in their store. The owner was a little concerned about whether or not they would come on time but would order them within 2 weeks if we had all our groomsmen come in for measurements. We did so and they were ordered 3 weeks later due to staffing issues the previous week. They did a good job staying in contact with us on the order. When the order shipped they did call us and let us know. Later though we found out not all the suit sizes were shipped and that we were stuck without one of our sizes for 2 of our groomsmen. The owner did apologize over phone and in person however said he didn't have any control over his vendor's error. The owner did tell us he called around to other stores to see if they had the size suit without success. Thus we ended up with having to go with a different suit color for all our groomsmen due to the mishap. Us, as reasonably people realized shipping errors do happen. However what disappointed me with the company was the lack of careful consideration with tailoring and having the right color shirts and size ties. Here are a few things that occurred that were in control of the owner and his team. When one of our groomsmen came in to pick up his suit it was way too big for him even though he went to their specific store earlier in the spring for measurements. This groomsman drove a couple hours to the location when his "suit" was ready and unfortunately had to wait until they figured out a solution. Furthermore when my husband went to pick up the ties he had all the same sizes for himself and groomsmen. This was a problem as the owner recommended to him previously to wear a normal size tie with his vest instead of the skinny tie we purchased for the rest of the men. This mistake required my husband to drive back to the store to switch the tie. Lastly when the best man showed up to the wedding he was wearing a different shade of white shirt then the rest of the groomsmen. Our photographer has been gracious enough to photoshop his shirt color to match. These last issues were all preventable and demonstrates carelessness regardless of the suit situation. I would not recommend this vendor due to their poor attention to detail and unfortunately no consideration for the poor customer service we experienced multiple times throughout the process. I think there were many chances where the owner could have took control of our order in whole and improved customer service. As a bride and groom I think it is important to find a company that you can trust during your wedding planning process and hopefully this review can help this company improve their internal communication and customer service for the next couple planning their big day!
The service at Knight's Chamber is wonderful. They are very friendly and helpful, and the suits are incredibly affordable. They are also able to return suits (tailored!) quickly. We have recommended them to our friends and family getting married.
Great Price - Great Suit! Used for my wedding and my groom & groomsmen all looked amazing.
Suits turned out great at a wonderful price. However, their communication was lack-luster and require you to be on top of everything.
The best bang for the buck there is in terms of quality and pricing. Love going to this place. They always have a great suit suggestion and help me pick up the best choices there are.
We started the process in April and everyone had their suits roughly two weeks before our wedding (10/6/18). The process may have taken a long time, but you get a nice, custom suit for hardly more than it would cost to rent one (and we got it earlier than you would with a rental)! The suits looked great on every person in our wedding party. I highly recommend them, maybe just be a little more generous in your timeline when figuring out when to start working with them.
We had a very good experience with Knight's Chamber. We were looking for good value on purchased suits (instead of rented tuxes) and found the style and color we wanted for a very reasonable rate. We had a couple of poor experiences talking to tuxedo rental companies, until we found Knight's Chamber. Chris from Knight's Chamber was awesome. Every time we had to call to get something figured out they handled right away. We did have an issue with a suit that was ordered incorrectly, but it was rectified quickly and fixed well in advance of the wedding. The suits looked great on wedding day. Definitely recommend!
Working with Knight's Chamber was an unnecessarily stressful experience that I would not recommend to anyone. The communication from the company is horrible. My dad and I seperately called this company multiple times a day for several weeks. Rarely was the phone answered. When it was the employee would say they would look into the situation and call us back; however they failed to return our voicemails and to follow up on answered calls. When I finally did speak to someone they were not aware of any problem. Clearly they were not aware of any of our messages. They were also completely nonchelant about the timing of the orders. We should have had our Menswear months before the wedding, not a week before.
The one positive is that the suit product is nice...if they get th sizing right. My dad went through three pairs of pants before getting a pair that fit, and even that pair was not perfect - there was a 1/4" difference in the pant leg lengths. These were better, however than the high water and way too baggy pants that were the first and second attempt. These sizing issue were especially stressful due to my dad living five hours away and the company's horrible communication and responsiveness.
I did end up contacting the Knight's Chamber in St. Cloud, thinking they may have been the same company. They were extremely helpful and should not be mistaken for the one in Minneapolis. They were great communicators and went above and beyond to help alleaviate the stress I was experiencing due to the Knight's Chamber located in Minneapolis.
Our wedding was October 6th. We went in to the uptown location to discuss menswear in April and he had told us to wait until July to get fitted. When we returned early July they told us to wait until August and stressed it only would take 2 weeks to get everything in. Everyone was fitted by August 1st and the Order was placed. Again they said it should be 2 weeks. We called beginning of September and they weren't sure when they would be in. My now husband. ended up getting his suite the week prior to our wedding, but the ties were not in until the week of the wedding. Three of the groomsman had to pick up their suites the morning of the wedding because they weren't ready. Again we started the process in April and our suites were finally ready on the wedding day. Communication was not the best and it was added stress. The suites are very nice! The guys do each have a suite they can keep, just be prepared for the added stress!
A great option for buying wedding suits. Good quality and price, and the groom/groomsmen get to keep a well-tailored suit after the wedding. The only reason it's 4 stars vs. 5 stars is the occasional gap in communication, however, this is somewhat expected with an entrepreneurial shop. Overall I would recommend Knight's Chamber.
The only reason that I am giving 2 stars is because at the end of the day everything turned out ok. The suit deal was too good to be true, we should have known something was off. It wasn't the suits they were the problem but the customer service. The suits took longer to arrive then we were told and we didn't get the ties until the week of the wedding. They were hard to communicate with and they kept trying to charge us when we had already paid! The best man had to go in twice to get measured because they did not have record of him going in! If you are ok with babysitting them the suits are really nice and it is a great deal but I don't know if you want to add more to your stress.
HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We have had nothing but issues, they are so DISORGANIZED. Basically all of the suits had to redone even though we were promised they would be "fitted and ready to go." They were SO RUDE to my Dad, didn't know what he was talking about then when they found the suit he shoved it atnhom and didn't let him try it on, didn't give him a tie, and gave him a shirt 2 sizes too big. Half of our guys are payig to have the suit tailored again somewhere else. EVERYTHING came in late, we spoke with the owner MULTIPLE times a week and were "promised" thinfs would get fixed and it always only got worse. This by far has been the most difficult part of our wedding planning process. Every other vendor has been great! Unless they do something to really turn this around I would never recommend them.
My husband has been getting his suits from here for a few years so going to Knight's Chamber for our wedding was an obvious choice. The thing I LOVE about them is you get a full customized suit-pants, shirt, jacket, tie, pocket square, EVERYTHING-for the same price as a rental. The groomsmen and dads loved that they got a suit that actually fit them and they got to KEEP it at the end. They didn't throw their money out the window through a rental that doesn't fit them properly. Chris is who we worked with and he is the NICEST guy and was so awesome to work with. He worked with me for months on finding the ties and pocket squares I wanted-because I was being picky-and he was so sweet every step of the way! Knights Chamber is the place to be if you are looking for the best wedding experience your money can buy!
The extra star is because the suit quality and selection are above that of Men’s Warehouse or Savvi. That being said- I have NEVER dealt with a more disorganized business- ever. Save yourself the last minute stresses of wondering if the guys suits will even be in before the wedding (not to mention still have to be tailored) even when the orders are placed months in advance. If you have out of town groomsman, the process is 10x’s more frustrating. 90% of the guys had to have their suits sent back 2 or more times. A few of the guys just finally gave up and paid of alterations to be done elsewhere. The lack of customer communication is appalling and every interaction was exasperating. Chris, the owner, was hardly available during the process and when we did voice concerns to him, it fell on deaf ears or he seemed annoyed that we were even questioning him. I always left the store feeling like they really don’t know what they’re doing nor care much about customer service. I do wish I could recommend Knights Chamber for wedding party attire because they do have reasonable prices and a wide selection of suits. HOWEVER, saving a few bucks is not worth the amount of stress you are guaranteed to have working with these guys.
This is an inexpensive option to buy a quality suit for your wedding party. You can have a suit, tie, and pocket square for around $140, which beats renting a tux. However as an inexpensive option there are some flaws. The people who worked with Chris had no problems with the fit of the suit, etc. The guys that were measured by others had about a 50% shot of it fitting well when they picked it up. With that being said things were fixed quickly. Just know that you should have plenty of time prior to your wedding to pick out the suits, have the guys get fitted, and then have them try it on before they leave the store. If I were to do it again, I would still use them. Just know it takes a little babysitting.
