I am so glad we had Jenn and her staff to guide us through my daughter's wedding. She is professional, energetic and on top of all the details. We used her recommended vendors and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Jenn and her team!
Jenn and Blair did a wonderful job for my stepson's wedding in Antiqua. The ceremony was beautiful. Everything went smoothly thanks to Jenn and Blair. I highly recommend them. We had a very detailed itinerary and Jenn made sure we all knew where to be. You will not be disappointed if you choose Knot Your Average Events as your wedding planner,
Let me start off by saying, we were skeptical that we been needed a wedding planner for the day of. We thought “oh we can do this”. Let me tell you, no no we could not have done it. Jenn is a professional through and through. She made our day incredible. She made everything perfect. While she is amazing, her team is just as amazing. They all work so well together and they make it so you are the priority and that you are having the best day. All of our guests had the best time. All of our guests asked for Jenns card, her information or just complimented about how amazing she was. She was not afraid to have conversations with the rowdy guests (we had a few 🫣)and kept them in line so I didn’t even know about anything until the day was over. I would recommend her over and over again. I am hopeful that I will get to be a part of another wedding that she is planning. She was so good my sister in law already promised me that she would hire Jenn if they decide to have a vow renewal. Don’t second guess yourself about booking Jenn, you will not regret it, your day will be magical and you won’t feel any bumps it will make the day less stressful. Thank you Jenn and your team. 🥰
Jenn and her team planned and designed our 12/4/2021 wedding. Let me start by saying that I had an idea of what I wanted my dream day to be but had difficulty articulating it. I knew the feel I wanted, but I had no idea where to even begin to create it. Then we found Jenn! She was able to take my feel and turn it into my dream! Jenn and her team created something you see in the movies. They went above and beyond. Jenn truly wanted my big day to be special and cared about it as it were her own. I cannot thank Knot Your Average Events enough for making our wedding day nothing short of perfect! Her expertise, creativity, and detail are well beyond expectation. Jenn, as a person is also just an amazing woman to work with! I will forever be singing their praise! Did I mention Jenn made it snow at our wedding?!
KYAE was our coordinator(s) for our wedding and they went way beyond my expecatations. I walked into my reception area in awe. They helped make our wedding more perfect than I could have ever imagined. I would 100x over recommend them to help with your day! You wont be disappointed AT ALL!!!
I met Jennifer at a Bridal showcase and instantly loved her energy. I had gone to this showcase looking for things other than a planner did not think I would hire an event planner. She started talking to us about how we could feel like guests at our own wedding and the thought sounded nice, especially after all the planning that was coming our way. Long story short, we decided to hire Knot Your Average Events and could not be happier with that decision. We were married on 8/21/21 and people have asked me since what the best investment was, and I could not mean it more than when I say Jennifer and her team at KYAE. Leading up to the wedding she was always easy to reach if I had questions and went on an on-site visit with me to look at the venue. This was helpful because she asked all the questions I had never thought to ask which saved me down the road with planning. The day of the wedding is where Jennifer and her team really went above and beyond. They took all my boxes of decorations and ideas and turned them into the most beautifully decorated venue while I relaxed and drank mimosas with my bridesmaids. They were flawless when it started raining outside (it was an outdoor wedding) and stuck with me as I decided to push the ceremony back a little to wait out the rain. They kept the guests happy while waiting and didn’t miss a beat when the rain stopped to dry off the chairs and help me to have the wedding I had been dreaming of. I could go on and on about Jennifer and the amazing staff she brought to my wedding but the bottom line is she delivered on her promise. I did not have to stress about anything on my wedding day and was able to enjoy every moment to the fullest. I even had a surprise at the end of the night as they had taken left over food and wine to my husband’s and my cabin and decorated it with flowers and tea lights. I was constantly surprised by the thought and care they put into my day and recommend them as much as I possibly can.
I dont know where to begin!! My husband, Jay, worked with Jenn to plan a surprise trip for me! It was nothing short of amazing! She also helped me plan a vow renewal while we were there for our anniversary! She took care of every detail and then some! It was the best vacation we had ever been on! So much that we are going back the next 2 years. Let her plan your trip. She knows all the best restaurants, the best rooms! She'll even have your fridge stocked with all your favorite beverages. Words can't give Jenn enough credit! She loves what she does and she will far exceed your expectations. She loves her clients and wants to help them make memories of a life time.
My husband and I got married June 15th, 2019, and I can wholeheartedly say that Jennifer Ball is absolutely magical. Not a week has passed that my husband and I haven’t talked about Jenn, or something Jenn did for us. She planned our wedding and our honeymoon, kept us sane, continuously reminded us of what WE wanted from the beginning (which is so important after everyone tells you how “they would do it”), and truly— countless other things I most likely will never know about. Jenn was SO good to us— we hired her three (?) times I think...(oh the joy of families trying to change your plans) and she welcomed us back with open arms every time we ran back to her. In fact, from the moment we met her, she said, “I know we are going to work together!” We knew it too, and we are beyond thankful that we did. Our wedding would not have been what it was without her. This woman bent over backwards in every possible way to make our wedding OURS, and I don’t think words will ever be able to express the amount of love and gratitude we have in our hearts for her. Coming from me— someone who had to please three sets of very different parents (and traditional grandmothers)— Jenn still made it possible for us to have the wedding we wanted, and one the family also loved. Tell me that’s not magical! To be honest, I wish I’d given Jenn the reigns from the beginning and used all of her vendors— the few I chose were good, but she KNOWS what she’s doing; she doesn’t just recommend anyone. I attended a friend’s wedding (they hired her after attending ours) and they let her run with it...and it was positively wonderful! The point is, Jenn carried me through the months of planning and my family being...difficult (to say the least). She relentlessly answered all of the questions and emails and phone calls, and not once was she anything but loving and attentive. Look, all you need to know is this— you will be making a huge mistake if you don’t hire Jennifer Ball. She is the absolute best choice for weddings, events, and travel... and the best choice if you want to keep your sanity, and your vision, while planning any of these events.
Jennifer Ball is the best planner you could ask for!! She will remind you exactly what your vision was from the very first time you all meet to discuss the best day ever - and will not let you stray from that. Jenn and her team made our day so easy and fun for not only us, but our families as well. We all got to be a guest and not have to worry about anything! Plus, she will surprise you in the best way possible with little changes on the BIG day that make a BIG difference. You will not find anyone better!!!
Under normal circumstances planning and celebrating a wedding is hard enough. Throw in monster Hurricane Florence the week of the wedding and the stress level goes through the roof. That is, unless you are being guided by the extraordinary Jenn Ball. She helped us make critical decisions that enable us to have my daughter's dream wedding come true amidst a hurricane. She coordinated the entire event with all the vendors and wedding party participants and then worked tirelessly to re-do all the plans at the last minute when we moved the wedding indoors and changed the wedding time. It was a Herculean effort that she, her exceptional team, and the vendors pulled off successfully and gracefully. Jenn knows her business inside and out. She is the consummate professional whose upbeat personality, thoughtfulness, and resourcefulness help her skillfully and flawlessly orchestrate a million moving parts simultaneously. Here's and example of how incredibly thoughtful she is--at the end of the wedding Jenn asked me if I wanted the many flower arrangements or did I want to donate them. I said, "please donate them." The next day I learned that she donated them to the local hospital's labor and delivery ward because my daughter was born during Hurricane Hugo. Now that's someone who knows how to knit together a powerful story! Jenn and her team are totally committed to fulfilling her mission and enabling the mother of the bride to actually enjoy her daughter's wedding. This mother got to be fully present to the momentous occasion it was and thoroughly enjoy her daughter's wedding. Knot Your Average Events is beyond a 5-star company!
Jenn was an absolutely perfect person to work with. She is the most organized, knowledgeable, funny, and creative wedding planner that I have ever known about. She brought life to our wedding, to our ideas, and made our day incredible. Our wedding would not have been the same with out her work alongside her equally incredible coordinator Lachelle. Their team took care of the entire set-up of our ceremony and reception, and allowed us to enjoy our day to its fullest. Please consider working with this fabulous team!

If you don't read this whole review, the key take way is that you will not find a better wedding planner who cares more about her clients than Jennifer, and if you are lucky enough that she is still available for your date, book her - now.
I want to start this review by saying the only regret we have regarding our hiring of Jennifer was not hiring her earlier on in our wedding planning process. I also want to mention that my family is in the wedding business (co-owners of Kleinfeld Bridal), so our expectations were quite high, and they were exceeded.
In the beginning, we had this naive notion that we could do it ourselves and that the cost of a wedding planner just isn't worth it. Within a very short period of time after hiring Jennifer, we learned that when it comes to the cost, you will easily make back all (and in our case more) of Jennifer's fees in the discounts you get from her relationships with vendors and the connections to vendors of which you never would have known existed. For example, our food caterer was fantastic and ended up costing about half what our alternative vendor (through our own research) would have cost us. He doesn't advertise as a wedding food provider though because he is already busy enough with his 5+ restaurants. With just that vendor alone, we made up all of Jennifer's fees. She also had an invitation vendor who made us gorgeous invitations for practically a song (we were budgeting 2x the final figure).

It's hard to explain how enormously helpful and relieving it is to have a pro like Jennifer watching your back throughout the process, especially in the final month when the stress really starts growing. Once you realize that you have effectively hired her for free due to the incredible savings you get from her connections, you then start pinching yourself because her real value add comes to life when the final hour approaches. There were many moments where we could not believe we were once considering doing this without her help.
During the day, Jennifer and her staff are absolutely mind-blowing. They are on top of every single detail and Jennifer is a total expert at directing and orchestrating both the rehearsal and day of. The day of is actually on another level entirely. Her whole team, and vendors outside her team (like the photographer, DJ, etc) are all communicating on earpiece/microphone setups. It's a level of professionalism you just don't expect at a wedding, and it allows for seamlessness like you would not believe.

Jennifer went above and beyond in every single way. She even managed to get a videographer to come and tape our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception because she knew that I really wanted that but could not afford it. We cannot recommend Jennifer more. As I said in the beginning, if we were to do this over again, when it comes to our decision with Jennifer, we would have made it right away instead of waiting.
Jennifer, you not only blew our socks off, but you also impressed my Mom beyond belief. She has been to incredible weddings at exclusive venues with incredible staff, and you stood out. As she said, "I've never seen anyone like Jennifer." Thank you for your incredible hard work, devotion, and professionalism. You made our dream day come true and we are so grateful to you and your staff!
Jenn and her team are absolutely fabulous. We hired her to be our day of coordinator and our wedding day was PERFECT. We were able to sit back, relax, and be guests for our special day. They made sure we had everything we needed all day (even thinking about bringing us water bottles while we were taking pictures!), kept everything organized, and made sure our guests were having a great time. Jennifer, you & your team amaze me!! Thank you for producing the wedding of our dreams. I'm certain that KYAE was the key to having a beautiful/stress-free wedding! From day one, Jenn was always a text or call away! I felt so comfortable knowing that she had our best interests at heart. Every moment of our wedding day (& planning) flowed perfectly. At our reception, Jenn & her team were there at every turn. We had our food waiting on us, dress bustled on time, & never had to ask for a thing! They even held my dress while simultaneously teaching me the wobble (a moment I'll never forget!). Thinking back on our beautiful day, we were so blessed to have Jenn & her team! I would highly recommend KYAE for any bride looking for a hard-working team that will make your wedding day beautiful & have every detail taken care of. You're in good hands with KYAE!!
Jennifer and Her Team are Amazing!
We had such an amazing experience working with Jennifer Ball and Lachelle Howard. If I could give them more than five stars, I would! When first planning my wedding, I thought we would not need a day-of coordinator (small wedding, not super formal, etc.). I was so wrong!! I am so glad we booked KYAE for day-of coordination. Jennifer and her team ran the day seamlessly - from assisting with communication to all vendors, to setting up the venue, to answering our questions on-site the day of the wedding. We were so pleasantly surprised when they brought us appetizers and drinks to have in the limo before our entrance into the reception, and my mom was beyond thrilled when the team took care of the cleanup and put all our stuff in her car. At one point my husband looked at me and said, "Wow - we never could have done this without them." Working with KYAE is well worth the money, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

Her prices were definitely nothing compared to how much she is worth, and how much she deserves for all she does. She is also a certified Sandals Honeymoon consultant, which just adds a bonus for those looking for a Sandals honeymoon.
Jenn is just stunning, both inside and out. She is a genius in the world of wedding planning. She is smart. She is sharp. She is professional. She worked our wedding in the most confident and calm fashion. She runs a tight ship and makes sure everything comes together without a hiccup. Nothing is perfect, and despite any hiccup, she made it into something beautiful and intentional. So many calls, texts, and emails where she calmed me, guided me, supported me, and made me feel like the most important person in the world. She has a way of lighting up the room, and making everything she touches amazing. She is such a bright presence, and she is fun and has the best perspective on life, and never fails to show confidence and positivity. She is brilliant, beautiful, talented, patient, professional, and so many more things. I absolutely love her and feel beyond honored and blessed to have had her plan my wedding. Her crew that assists her is on point as well, and they never skip a beat to follow suite with Jenn. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend KYAE as your wedding planner. I was at first skeptical of getting a wedding planner because of its cost, but her prices are the most reasonable out there, and being at a wedding without a planner, then realizing how perfect mine was, as well as things Jenn thought of for me, and how stress-free my planning was, Jenn is the way to go! Meet with her and you will know.
KYAE was the backbone of my incredible "Princess Bride" movie-themed wedding in June. It was a wedding, costume party and dance event of the year! Every little detail was complete and this team was fun to work with on planning and execution. Everyone agreed it was the perfect day- thanks to Jennifer Ball and her KYAE team!
Jen is amazing!!!! She made our day very special and memorable. But most importantly she took the stress off my mom!!! That meant more to me than anything else. She was the planner for my sisters wedding and so I already knew she would make our lives easier. She was the one non-negotiable for our wedding!!! She has become apart of our family!! If you are considering planning and coordinating your wedding all by yourself my husband and I would suggest that you reconsider. Our only wedding related regret is not having hired Knot Your Average Events sooner! We hired Jenn and her team approximately 5 months before our wedding and she put us at ease by asking all of the right questions and helping us to create the personalized wedding of our dreams within our budget. Lachelle did a fantastic job as our day of coordinator and made sure everything went off without a hitch! My husband and I HIGHLY recommend this team, ESPECIALLY if you live out of town and are going to NC to get married as we did.

Don't think you need a wedding coordinator? Think again!
My now husband and I were planning a small 100 people, DIY rustic wedding. We wanted to DIY everything...little cost and be able to re-use almost everything as decoration post wedding. We couldn't fathom spending lots of money for just "one day", however, we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice wedding. We met with Jenn when we were tired of stressing about who would do this, what family member would do that.
She recommended TOP NOTCH vendors for us to use and helped us prioritize. Every step of the way she answered questions, gave her expertise (trust us, she IS an expert), and most importantly, reminded us that it was about us. No one else. Jenn is solely concerned about you as a couple and what her and KYAE can do to help make your day all that you've dreamed.
That is exactly what happened. Perfection. It came and went but we got to enjoy every second because everything from set-up, double checking schedules with vendors prior to wedding day, tear down, and even cake cutting was taken care of by a fabulous team. Any last minute hiccup, we didn't know about until after...our families got to be guests...we were waited on and treated like King and Queen for the day. It was the most fun that we have ever had. We know without a doubt if we hadn't had hired KYAE, our day would've been chaos. No matter how small you are planning...Jenn and KYAE are worth every single penny. You will not be disappointed.
Jennifer Ball was hands down excellent to work with. When my mother and I first met Jenn one of the very first things she said was that she "wanted us to feel like a guest at our wedding." I really and truly did, from start to finish, and I know that my mother did too. Jennifer was able to take the stress off of myself and my family (my mother especially) the day of the wedding. She was our go to person as we planned our wedding reception that was in our backyard. We told her our vision and she was able to help us design, layout and help us make it come to life. She contacted all the vendors that we needed to work with and compared and secured quotes. She responded to all emails, phone calls and text messages from both myself and my mother. The day of our wedding was when she and her staff shined the most. They all had excellent communication with one another (radio and head sets). One of her staff persons at all times had eyes on me. I (bride) was very well taken care of. Every question I asked was followed up on. If there was a crisis the day of, I didn't know about it because she handled it. The ceremony was smooth and there was a backup plan just in case (ceremony was in an outside garden). I had full confidence that everything was taken care of. At the reception, my husband and I were greeted with huge smiles from Jennifer's staff and we had drinks and appetizers waiting for us! Bliss! We were able to sit and enjoy one another and our food for a solid 20 minutes before we were introduced to our guests. We always had our drinks filled and we were served first. We actually ate the dinner we payed for and it was delicious! When there were last minute changes before the reception started, Jennifer was gracious and rolled with it...not a problem for her and her amazing staff! Our guests gave great praise of the Knot Your Average Event staff and their attentiveness. They were kind and pleasant to work with. Such nice people, and who were all doing it for the right reasons. I was not stressed on my wedding day at all. I KNEW that Jennifer and her staff would handle any situation that arose. I was calm and excited and not worried about the "what ifs?" I enjoyed the day for what it was. Thank you Jennifer and in particular Kristian, Jennifer, LaChelle and Jonathan! You helped to make our day everything it was meant to be!
Jennifer Ball is one of the most UPBEAT, high energy, ALWAYS has a smile kind of person that I have the pleasure of knowing!!
She has a calmness, and a liveliness to her that upon first meeting her, I saw right away and knew she had to be the planner for me.
I am a worry wart, she did her absolute best at every turn to help me not worry so much. She was always readily available to answer questions, offer opinions and support. She truly is a wonderful and caring person.
Jennifer has a great vision too, which is another thing I loved.
She and her crew saw my vision, she took my wedding planning madness and created something wonderful. Even when the weather (rain) had other ideas, Jenn made it all come together.
I hung onto her words of wisdom. The day of she said to me "no matter what happens, good or bad, just LIVE in the MOMENT"
I think of those words everyday now.

Jennifer and the staff at Knot Your Average Events were fantastic! They helped the girl who had no idea what she wanted, just lots of ideas of what she didn't want, create the perfect wedding day. Our wedding and reception went off without a hitch! KYAE took care of all of the details and made sure all of our guests were taken care of. I am so thankful that we found Jennifer and her team!
Shortly after getting engaged, I started looking for wedding planners. I had contacted another planner in the area first, but given our smaller budget, she said she could not plan our event. However, she said she would give our information to another planner in the area. Low and behold, Jennifer contacted me within 24 hours, saying that she specialized in small budget weddings, and that she would love to coordinate or event, and in fact--that we couldn't afford NOT to hire her! Of course, we were intrigued so we set up a meeting. We met at Starbucks and, halfway through the meeting, I KNEW she was the one. Her professionalism, vitality, charisma, energy, wealth of knowledge and experience spoke for themselves. I was instantly put at ease. She was there every step of the way that I needed her advice, or to answer a question, or to help calm me down if I was having a planning meltdown! She also stepped in on my behalf to speak to other vendors that I was having issues with so that I didn't have to become "BRIDEZILLA!!". Her wedding planning book, is also some of the best money I've ever spent. I read that book constantly, carried it with me, scribbled notes in it, referenced it for over a year before our wedding. It is also filled with all of the names and contact information for the local vendors KYAE is affiliated with, which is where I found all of my other vendors. As far as helping me plan the wedding, she was very good to be my sounding board and reality check without completely shooting down my vision. She was able to preserve my vision and make it happen in more practical or cost effective manner. When it came down to the actual day of the wedding, I was supremely calm; I had no wedding day jitters, no freak outs or melt downs. Everyone else around me seemed nervous and frantic, and every time someone asked me what to do in a particular situation of "Where is so-and-so?" all I or my then fiancée replied all day and night was "I don't know, ask Jenn, our coordinator. She's the one with the short spikey hair. Or, ask one of her assistants, they have the pink and green shirts."....and then I just went on about my fabulous bride business. She even made sure a fire was put out at the outdoor marshmallow bar before I ever saw it! I'm sure you brides are hesitant about spending already limited wedding funds on a planner, but TRUST ME--you DO NOT want to worry about all the details and drama on your wedding day. KYAE made sure that all my vendors were doing what they were contracted to do, that all my family members and friends were ushered where they needed to go and answered any and all questions, they handled set up, decorations, logistics, tear down, and clean up. All of these things, I didn't have to burden a family member to do for me--they could just enjoy themselves and soak in the memories made during our wedding. And as if all of this isn't enough reason to hire her, don't take my word for it....set up a meeting with her and see what she had to say. Where do I even start?! Jenn, and her staff, went above and beyond the call of duty for our wedding. My husband and I couldn't imagine having hired another wedding planner. Jenn made our day run so smoothly from beginning to end. Little details did not go missed; she made sure each thing happened. When the fire alarm went off in the church because there was something burning in the bottom of the oven that the caterer was using, Jenn quickly fixed the problem and handled it like a pro; calm, cool, and collected. I knew from the moment that I first met Jenn that I didn't have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day. She is professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. She's not afraid to speak up and give suggestions to ensure that your day will run smoothly. She is honest and fair, and her staff is also very professional. When it comes to wedding planning Jenn, at Knot Your Average Events, is on the ball!! Her entire team is professional, courteous and delivers on the wedding experience. Goes above and beyond anything you could expect to make your day PERFECT! I do not believe snafu is in her vocabulary. She makes sure everything is at 100% and her staff executes it down to every last tiny detail. Couldn't have done it without Jenn, she was always in contact throughout the entire process! She answered any question I had sane or crazy without judgment, just helpful answers. Jennifer is amazing at what she does. My wedding day was in the sunshine until 4:00 when the downpour began about an hour before the ceremony was supposed to begin. She was able before the ceremony began to get tables, chairs, dj and everything else moved to make for the most personable close ceremony I had been to. She knows how to work it to make sure your day is awesome.
What an exceptional woman. My husband and I knew we wanted to work with her from the moment we met her. She has an infectious personality. Jenn takes pride in what she does.
