Knotting Hill Place

Knotting Hill Place is an undeniably stunning venue, and our wedding was absolutely beautiful. The setting and variety of rental options were great. However, our experience with Kennedy, the staff member assigned to us, left much to be desired in terms of professionalism, responsiveness, and basic courtesy. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the overall quality of the Knotting Hill Place staff, as Kennedy was our primary point of contact. Had we been assigned a different staff member, this review might very well be a glowing five stars, given how beautiful the venue is. Our first major concern arose when we scheduled an in-person tour for May 5th at 2:00 PM—a date and time we confirmed multiple times in advance. We traveled all the way from Spokane, WA, to see the venue in person and meet with vendors. Upon arrival, however, Kennedy was in the middle of giving another tour. She did not acknowledge us, greet us, or even glance in our direction for an entire hour. Thankfully, our independent wedding planner stepped in to show us around, but when Kennedy finally finished her tour, she still did not recognize or acknowledge our prearranged appointment. In fact, it wasn’t until several minutes into our conversation that she even realized who we were. While I hesitate to assume her priorities lay more with securing new clients than fulfilling obligations to existing ones, that is certainly how it appeared. If she had simply forgotten the appointment, that would indicate a failure to document it properly despite multiple confirmations—an oversight that is difficult to excuse, especially given the effort we made to be there in person. Regardless of the cause, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the oversight, which set a disappointing precedent for our ongoing interactions. Beyond this initial encounter, our experience with Kennedy continued to be frustrating. Throughout the year leading up to our wedding, she was consistently difficult to reach via phone or email, frequently failed to follow through on promised information, and neglected to send meeting recaps with critical follow-up tasks. When she did provide information, it was often inaccurate. For instance, our venue rental order contained multiple errors, including incorrect guest counts and unjustified charges—one being a $750 outside florist fee, despite the fact that we did not have a florist. This mistake stemmed from an assumption that a rental company we used, DFW Flower Wall, was a florist, which could have easily been verified by just asking us before adding the charge. While she corrected the issue when I pointed it out, it was frustrating to have to meticulously review every detail myself due to a lack of trust in the accuracy of her work. On the wedding day itself, her lack of engagement was again apparent. She did not greet us, offer well wishes, or even acknowledge me despite passing by multiple times. This absence of professionalism and warmth was disheartening, especially considering the significance of the occasion. I cannot speak to how or why Kennedy holds a managerial role—whether through connections within the company, a focus on sales over client experience, or simply a lack of honest feedback from past clients—but based on our interactions, she did not demonstrate the level of attentiveness, competence, or customer service one would expect in her position. While Knotting Hill Place remains a breathtaking venue, the experience of working with Kennedy significantly diminished what could have been a flawless wedding planning process.

The organization from all the meetings they provide with you, to the communication with the vendors is amazing. I would highly suggest using them for your month of planner if you are planning your own. They go above and beyond for you.

Our wedding day at Knotting Hill Place was everything we planned for, could have imagined, and more. We had the most amazing experience, throughout a normally stressful planning process, made easy by KHP's awesome staff, and specifically our coordinator, Kennedy Fox. Kennedy was extremely attentive for the entire 1Y+ of our planning process during our engagement and helped us bring our dream wedding day to life. KHP is one of the more beautiful "Estate" style venues in DFW, centrally located in Little Elm by the lake, and not a far commute for Dallas and Fort Worth natives. KHP hosts open house events that let you come and tour the venue while meeting a number of their preferred vendors for catering, photography/videography, decor, florals, as well as their talented bar staff: Colada. These events helped us solidify our vision for our wedding day at KHP, let us get additional face time with our coordinator and vendors, as well as discounted rental and decor items. We had an all-around fantastic experience and will continue to recommend KHP to other newly-engaged couples in DFW.

Carrie and I got married at Knotting Hill Place, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! Everything went off exactly as planned, and Kennedy was a huge part in that! Our planning meetings were thorough and professional and left us with a feeling of calmness, as the wedding planning process was hectic but they made it seem easier! We could not have been happier with the venue's amenities, layout, decor and service. We stayed at Knot's Landing, the venue's rental property across the street, and it made everything so easy! Also, the house was HUGE and we had a great time there with our friends. Colada did a perfect job with the drink service and the bartenders were very fast and had a great attitude! All in all, Carrie and I were ecstatic about how everything turned out!

KHP and our wedding coordinator, Kennedy Fox went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs for our special day! This venue is beautiful in itself and we were so grateful to have Kennedy help us 30 days out and the day of. I had a bit of a rockier experience than I expected in general, I got pregnant on birth control 5 months before my wedding. After back and forth, the venue owner allowed me to pay a fee and push the wedding date out to 4 months after we had the baby. This allowed plenty of time for me to be comfortable on my wedding day and have our dream wedding experience. Even through hiccups, we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Truly a dream come true. Each member of the KHP team that we met proved to be a joy to work with, and they really do make you feel like a part of the KHP family. A special mention must go to Colada, their in-house beverage company, whose exquisite drinks were the perfect accompaniment to our joyous occasion. This venue is absolutely beautiful, you don’t have to decorate much because it is already so elegant and decorated perfectly. The team and planners are all amazing. We hired Kaitlyn as our month of coordinator through the venue team and she went above and beyond for us, coordinated with all of our vendors and made it stress free for me and my now husband! I can’t recommend this venue and their staff enough. It was the perfect wedding!

KHP is such a stunning venue, but they also have great staff to go along with it as well. We worked with Laurina and she was the best! What I do love outside of the venue and staff, is that they have many in house rental options that makes things easier. The only thing that people may question, is that they require you to use their preferred caterers or there is an outside vendor fee. But either way, all of their preferred vendors were great and I would recommend them either way.

Elegance, opulence, grandeur, luxury, modern glam are just a few of the terms that come to mind when thinking of KHP! Our wedding was all of the above and mostly due to this venue! My guests felt this was the most beautiful and luxurious wedding they have ever attended and thus my goal as a bride was well met! I wanted simple but glam and the clear acrylic chairs and chandeliers and courtyard gave me just that. My photos will be amazing/romantic/sexy not just because of the photographer that KHP recommended but also because of the backdrop that the venue provided. The staff was prompt to respond, well versed in general wedding knowledge for this first time bride, and amazingly friendly.

I knew instantly that this was the venue for us--the light in the ceremony room, the gorgeous details in every corner of the property, the beautiful bridal and groom suite, and the magical atmosphere of KHP make it such a worthwhile investment for your big day. People were absolutely raving. Katelyn (our day-of venue coordinator) was so so so helpful and patient with my millions of questions and always got back to me almost immediately when I reached out.
