Mary and Kenny made our wedding day the most memorable one of our lives. The spread that they offer cannot be beat and my guests are still talking about it!

There are no words to describe the wedding we had sat nite aug 18th. From planning to executing it was nothing but THE BEST!!!!! From the moment we walked into the temple we were taken care of by Mary. (SHE'S FABULOUS). We worried about NOTHING and knew with total confidence Kenny had everything under control. The food WAS INCREDIBLE!! From cocktail hour (WHICH WAS INSANE) to dinner to dessert it never stopped . GREAT ALL AROUND AMAZING PARTY FROM THE #1 CATERER on Long Island!!! I would rate 10 plus if i could!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. It was close to home, the ceremony and reception was all in one place but more than that it was the sickest party I’ve ever been to. We have literally been getting non stop compliments from people about how amazing it was. The food is by far the best you’ll ever have EVER and people specifically raved about that. Like non stop comments on how it was the best food they’ve ever had. The service is bar none the best—completely and utterly top notch. One of my guests said it was the best service she had ever had at a wedding. She told me they took drink orders from the table and asked if they wanted refills on their food. The server even came over to her to ask if her food was okay since they saw she didn’t eat the steak. And wait there’s more! They had a wine cart with specialty wines and one of our guests’ said he didn’t like anything and was a wine snob (🙄). Apparently they have a rule if a guest is unhappy it must be resolved immediately. So what did they do? They broke open a $200 bottle of wine for this guest and he said it was one of the best wines he ever had. That is what separates Avodah from other venues. Guests’ told me that Evan and I knocked it out of the ballpark with this wedding and that people will remember it forever as one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. Even one of my girlfriends texted outside of our group chat cuz a recent bride was in it that we know and said “I don’t wanna insult her but literally that was the best wedding I’ve ever been to”. Another guest said that they thought this wedding was better than their own! You don’t have to be Jewish to have your reception there. They had a non Jewish reception the weekend after ours. Also the staff is unbelievable. Literally there for me and my family non stop all day and night. The owner Kenny demands perfection and boy did he get it. That’s what I love about him I had so much faith in him because of his own insistence on perfection. Also I paid extra to have Mary, my bridal attendant, there with me on my day. She came to my hotel made sure I was ok kept me calm fed me and made sure my family and bridal party was happy. She literally goes out of her way to make you have the best day and night of your life and she knocked it out of the park. If you’re getting married here and haven’t arranged for her to be at your wedding drop everything and do it! You won’t regret it and you’ll be happy you did it! Leading up to the wedding she was there for me every step of the way. And the dessert hour—guests had to be rolled out!!!! It’s out of this world incredible. A majority of our guests were still there when the lights came on that’s how fun it is! I cannot say enough good things about Temple Avodah. It was also so special because Evan was bar mitzvahed there so to come back 18 years later just shows that the quality of this venue never changes and is always getting better! Evan and I had the best night of our lives and we’ll never ever forget it.

From the first phone call with Mary, to schedule our meeting with Kenny, we instantly felt comfortable and at ease. After meeting with Kenny we knew we had to have our wedding at Temple Avodah with Kombert Caterers. It was the first and only venue that we went to see. We met with Kenny on a Saturday afternoon and by Monday morning we had officially booked our wedding date. Kenny and Mary were AMAZING to work with. Every email was always answered in the timely manner – we even received responses in the evenings, after work hours. Mary was always available through email, text or for a phone call. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from information to advice, she did it all. Kenny made sure everything ran smoothly and every detail was accounted for, from our first meeting, leading up to and the day of our wedding. He was there for the entire event to see everything through. Our Bridal attendant and Matr’d were also phenomenal. Before the wedding ceremony my mom’s strap broke on her shoe and they were able to somehow fix it so she was able to wear them. Later on, the bridesmaids also found that my bustle had broken and they quickly sprang into action and sewed it up, before I walked into the reception. Almost three months later our guests are still raving about our wedding. From the phenomenal food, to the exceptional service they provided. The cocktail hour is out of this world with items like champagne popsicles, truffle mac and cheese, and a wide variety of stations - a grilled cheese station, a tapas and tequila station, a southern comfort station (paired with moonshine lemonade), a deli station, a pasta station and everything in between. We had five choices of entrees (filet mignon, chicken, duck, salmon, and vegetable), which were all enjoyed by our guests. The desserts are another unique and unlike anything you have seen anywhere else. They walk around from table to table offering a wide variety of desserts and after dinner drinks – we had a s’mores station where they actually roasted the marshmallows in front of you, hot pretzels, ice cream sundaes, sorbet in fruit cups, a cordial bar and just about anything you could think of or want for dessert and it was all phenomenal. Most of our guests have said it was by far the best wedding they have ever been to, with the best food and amazing, attentive, service. Each table of guests claimed that they received the best service from the staff. Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and more and we owe it all to Kenny, Mary and the entire Kombert Staff !

Impeccable service. Food was phenomenal, unique and never-ending. Helped provide a classy, smooth, drama-free wedding day for me. Mary and Kenny will take excellent care of you. You're in great hands with them. If I could give them 10 stars I would! Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about them.

KENNY KOMBERT MADE MY WEDDING THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. THE FOOD, SERVICE AND QUALITY ARE OVER THE TOP. HE IS ON TOP OF ALL ASPECTS OF THE WEDDING, WE NEVER HAD TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING. DURING OUR MEETING I MENTIONED THAT I LIKED ROOT BEER FLOATS, AND LET ME TELL YOU ON MY WEDDING DAY, HE WAS THERE WITH A ROOT BEER FLOAT IN HAND. MARY AND LINDA ARE HIS GO TO LADIES AND THEY MADE MY EXPERIENCE AS A BRIDE AMAZING. THIS IS THE CATERER TO USE IF YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED IN LI!!!!
