Kontempo.'s team of highly-trained artists work their magic to create stunning hair and makeup looks that will have your guests in awe. They make sure their clients receive a style that is as beautiful and unique as they are. From glamorous sleek updos with bold red lips, to beachy curls with natural yet glowy makeup, it can all be achieved here.
Kontempo. is more than happy to work solely with you, or perform their services on your entire wedding party. You may decide whether you would like to be pampered in the salon or from the comfort of your wedding location. I hired Kirby to do my hair for my wedding as well as my mom and MOH’s hair. I had hand-tied extensions and a very elaborate & delicate headpiece, so I hired Kirby because I knew he’d worked with crowns in pageants. Kirby totally knocked it out of the park with my hair as well as my mom’s!
My makeup artist (not from Kontempo) was running late, and Kirby helped keep me as calm as possible and reworked the timeline to accommodate the change in plans and to help ease my nerves. He even stayed longer than he would’ve initially had to because of this. I was a wreck because of the makeup artist situation (again, she was not affiliated with Kontempo at all), and Kirby was such a professional and was such a team player. My mom has very fine, difficult-to-work-with hair, and she did not want to get her hair professionally styled for the wedding because she has had bad luck in the past with having her hair styled for weddings. I convinced her to go to a trial with Kirby because I knew if anyone could make her love her hair, it would be Kirby. My mom was in tears at her trial because she loved her hair so much! She said she had never felt so beautiful. That experience made all the difference leading up to the wedding because I wanted my mom to feel her best, and I was so relieved that she was going to love her hair the day of the wedding – which she did! I’d never seen my mom feel so good about herself, which totally made my day! Kirby is a true artist. He was so accommodating and made sure we had the style perfect before the wedding. He makes each person feel important, he truly cares if you are happy, and he is SO kind! Kirby is well worth the money, and I feel so lucky to have gotten such a talent to do my hair for my wedding!
Madison and Sydney did the rest of my bridal party’s hair. The entire Kontempo team was on time and did a great job staying on time. My bridesmaids’ hair looked great! Mandi, the bridal coordinator, was so great and easy to work with. She was always very responsive and organized, and everything was scheduled perfectly! Booking the Kontempo team was quick and easy. 10/10 experience all around with Kontempo!
This team was amazing to work with! Easy process from the time I got a quote to keeping in touch with everything until the big day! The customer service was outstanding & everyone was SO helpful. They definitely made things stress free from the trial to the day of. I was running behind on the day of & this team made me feel so relaxed & didn’t rush me at all. The hair was amazing & lasted through the next day & the airbrush makeup is highly recommended as well. It was so natural looking & they did everything I asked & more. They really care about your day & that is something I picked up on from the moment I got an initial quote. Amazing staff, so amazing I’ve become a customer because of how awesome they are!
Kirby did an amazing job on my hair and it lasted all night. Also, loved my makeup Kristin did as well as the rest of the bridal party's hair and makeup. Everyone looked phenomenal! Would definitely recommend. Also, a perfect size salon for the wedding party to stay together while getting ready.

The make up artists from Kontempo did a wonderful job for my wedding in September. Kristen is a genius and I loved my final look! My bridesmaids and mother were also all very happy. I live out of town - Ashlee coordinated everything and made the process so easy and straightforward. Highly recommend!!

The Kontempo. team is a joy to work with and they made me and my girls look gorgeous on my wedding day! I knew my hair and make-up would be flawless and it lasted the entire day even in the NE heat and humidity!
To some people, hair and makeup on their wedding day may not seem all that important. To me, it was my chance to get all glamed up for a once-in-a-lifetime day. The amount of talent Kristen has at such a young age is incredible! I showed her a picture and she made me look even better! My vision totally came to life thanks to her! I have never felt more beautiful and when I caught a glimpse of my hair and makeup with my dress on I started to cry. Kristen and the Kontempo crew made my girls' and I's hair and makeup look and feel like a million bucks! They were so friendly and fun and we all looked awesome! My hair has also never looked or felt better and has grown so much thanks to their products and help keeping it healthy. HIGHLY recommend! ❤️💁🏼👰🏼
Saved by "The" Kirby!!!! Before meeting Kirby I was in a bridal disaster having already had 3 hair trials that just weren't working. I knew it was time to pack up and search for another salon and I owe Jocelyn with Ready or Knot Wedding Chic Bridal Salon for introducing me to Kontempo Salon.
Questioning if I was picking poor hair styles, I showed up in his chair, showed him my dress and told him I wanted a down hairstyle with that was elegant and pure perfection is what happened. His talent is far beyond any other stylist I have encountered and I knew my wedding day would be perfect after that day.
Fast forward to my wedding day and OMG what an artist. I had this major concern that with long hair and a down hairstyle it would look worn and fall in my face over the day. He created a look that was natural but stayed in place despite 20mph winds that day. Some of my stylist friends were even studying the "do" to figure out just how he did it.
He is more expensive than other stylist but honestly if you factor in that you will only need one trial with Kirby, then you're really on par with all the others. Despite that, this is your wedding hair and there is no room for error so the $230 it cost for my "do" was well worth it and I would do it all over again.
His styling is just absolute perfection and as a bonus, you'll find him to be a fun-loving, down to earth and energetic person that would be a great addition to your bridal day.
I am truly thankful for Kontempo Salon for fitting me in on such short notice and I received so many complements on my hair. Complements ranged from model hair to hair fit for a bridal magazine never get old on the most special day of your life. You can entrust Kirby with anything and I promise he will deliver. Katie and Amy also helped out with the bridal party and did a most fabulous job!

I would highly recommend no Bride contacts this salon unless you want to deal with a huge headache and extremely poor communication. I told the woman (Kate) who manages bridal bookings multiple times the number of girls I had and what time I needed us all to be done. I was told they would need a list of my girls and services, that I should go ahead and collect the 50% deposit, and they would provide the contract. I was told she could only hold my date for a couple weeks, so of course I rushed to get the deposit in. I collected the money, provided an outlined list and timeline. Then I was informed that she left the country for two weeks and they put NO ONE else in place to handle her affairs while she was gone. I called the salon with questions on how to sign the contract and pay, only to be left with general head scratching as to who could even answer my questions and was told to simply "Wait until she gets back." After she got back, I had to email HER to see what the progress was after two days of hearing nothing. She was slow in responding to my e-mails, and it turns out the entire time she knew she was unlikely to be able to accommodate my party. Instead of being up front with me, she was rude and tried to blame me and say that I never told her the number of girls I had, or the time I needed to be done (when in fact, my INITIAL e-mail listed all of this information). They effectively jerked me around for over a month with poor communication and then ultimately told me they could not accommodate my party-- leaving a stressed bride scrambling last minute to find a salon not already booked. Perhaps they actually do great hair and make-up but their scheduling and booking is an absolute nightmare. They charge much higher than any other salon I've consulted with for the Bride, they require a 50% deposit (which if you have a large party is a lot of money), and then require full payment two weeks before the wedding (can't pay day of). If you're like me with a large bridal party whom all live around the country, this is also a ridiculous manner in which to collect the money-- and on a tight timeline left me stressed to collect the money or pay the huge deposit by myself. I am thoroughly annoyed and disappointed that this is how they do business.

ith Kate’s absence, she recently lost her seven year old nephew and was away from the salon (and the country) in order to attend to funeral arrangements and grievances. We, as well as any guest that has ever had an experience with Kate, can attest that her heart and intentions are always professional and genuine. She would go above and beyond for anyone. We request our New Client Form which provides us with information needed in order to determine the specific needs of your group. So many considerations and great attention to detail goes into planning and scheduling services for special events. Upon Kate’s return, we were still missing your requested paperwork with the remaining information needed to determine if we were available in all areas necessary to provide for your group. We do not provide a contract or request a deposit until the New Client Form is received and we have confirmed that all services, location requests, time requests, stylist requests, and any other specifics you may need can be met. Kontempo. takes providing expert services and exceptional hospitality very seriously. We have spent a large amount of time and do-diligence trying to perfect our bridal coordination. Having one person handle the coordination of large events ensures that schedules aren’t double booked and attention to detail is available during coordination. Our paperwork, required deposit, and flexible payment options for even out-of-state guests ensure that we, as well as our bridal parties, are held accountable to all arrangements made. This prevents any last minute changes that affect the schedule and energy of your special day as well as the schedules and livelihood of our stylists during the busiest time of the year. This process has proven to be a very successful event planning process for our salon and our brides. During Kate’s absence we made sure that all bridal coordination for your June 25 wedding was on hold so that any previous arrangements or tentative requests would not be interrupted. Unforeseen life circumstances can happen to any of us at any time. Kontempo. takes great pride in the relationships we have with our employees and guests and offer our unconditional support during these difficult times. While we understand that this may be frustrating when attempting to schedule or learning that your scheduling needs may not be met, we are always happy to make recommendations for other amazing artists we have had the privilege to work with in the Omaha area. Our prices and bridal coordination requirements reflect the education, talent, and experience of our highly requested bridal stylists/artists here at Kontempo. We participate in national and international education to provide continuing education to advance our team's technical approach to bridal makeup and hairstyling.It is always Kontempo.’s number one goal to provide the best possible service and experience to our guests and we understand that it is a choice for you to work with our salon. LOVED the outcome of my makeup here. My bridal party got their hair done here. The staff was great to them and even allowed them to all get fake lashes applied at last minute without giving us any grief. Tasha is a wonderful make-up artist! Worth every penny!
Tasha Baughman did my make-up for my wedding and she is the best. I looked like a movie star on my wedding day. She also has an amazing personality so it was nice talking to her while I got ready. I recommend her to everyone!
Kirby did my hair and his salon did my makeup.They both looked great.
Makeup was airbrushed so I felt like it looked as perfect as possible and it was very fun.
Hair was done off an inspirational picture from Pinterest, Kirby went with it and made it my own. He was so excited about how it turned out so that made it even more fun too!
My whole wedding party and mom went with me and they got their hair done and most got their makeup done. Everyone was extremely excited about how it turned out.
If you get your updo done ask for Kirby he is the expert and couldn't have made my hair look better as I said I DO!
Kirby and his team did hair for my entire wedding party. I was so happy with how my hair turned out. Kirby styled my hair exactly how I pictured it to my on my special day. He made sure I was 100% happy with it and went above and beyond my expectations. All my bridesmaids hair looked beautiful and cohesive. We all had such a fun time at the salon getting ready. The team made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thanks again for making me look perfect on my wedding day! I highly recommend Kontempo.
My grown daughter and I had an amazing experience with Kirby and the gals at Kontempo. We both had our makeup "air brushed" and eye lashes applied along with getting our hair cut and styled. It all was handled with ease and we were in/out on time! I believe that they would be able to handle a larger wedding party with the same finesse!
I absolutely loved my hair & makeup process at kontempo. Kirby and each staff member at kontempo are seasoned professionals and I was blown away my the results! They easily handled our large wedding party, and were excellent throughout the planning process. I would absolutely work with the kontempo team again!
