We can't recommend Kristin and her team enough! From the start, Kristin stood out with her passion, enthusiasm, and ease of communication. She responded quickly to our questions and made us feel like our vision was her top priority. Here are just a few reasons why working with Kristin was such a great experience:
1. Organization: Kristin was incredibly organized. She took detailed notes during our meetings and kept everything in a comprehensive, easy-to-follow spreadsheet.
2. Budgeting: She helped us stay on track with our budget throughout the planning process. When we chose a vendor who was significantly over our original budget, Kristin found ways to adjust and cut back on other areas to ensure we stayed within our overall financial plan.
3. Vendor Selection: Kristin took a proactive approach with vendor selection. She always gathered quotes from multiple vendors, presented them with thoughtful recommendations, and explained her rationale behind each one, making it easy for us to make informed decisions.
4. Communication: Kristin’s communication was excellent. She made sure we were always informed, highlighting everything we needed to know in a clear and timely manner.
5. Experience: Kristin’s experience truly shone throughout the process. She often anticipated our needs before we even mentioned them. We went back and forth on shuttle services for our guests, but Kristin knew exactly what we needed based on the number of guests and their age groups.
6. Professionalism and Team Management: On the day of the wedding, Kristin unfortunately had to deal with Covid. Despite this, she smoothly transitioned everything to her two assistants, who were equally familiar with all the details of our wedding. We had never met the assistants before, but they were incredible—professional, calm, and efficient—and they handled everything with the same care and attention to detail that Kristin had shown during the entire planning process.
As I go through our photos and reflect on the day, I realize there are so many more details Kristin took care of that I didn’t even mention here. Her dedication, professionalism, and personal touch made all the difference in creating the perfect wedding for us. Erica at Kristin Catter Events was our vendor coordinator for our wedding on 11/1/24, which means we worked with her for a year up until the wedding helping us with vendor selections and all the wedding details. We were so impressed with her the entire time, and felt like we couldn't do this without her! She brought up a lot of points that I never thought of throughout the process, which ultimately helped make the evening flawless and unforgettable for me, my family, and my wedding guests. We thought she was amazing but wait until the day of the wedding -- that's when she becomes a total rockstar and really really shines. All the details were impeccable and transitions flawless. Nothing was overlooked. Being a wedding planner seems very stressful (I couldn't do it myself) so to spend so much money and hand it over to someone else to help manage for you, it's a lot. But I fully trusted Erica every step of the way and would recommend her til the cows come home for all future brides. Please book her!!!
Kristin was our wedding planning and wedding coordinator our wedding in 2023. Kristin was absolutely amazing. She navigated balancing what my husband and I wanted for our wedding and what my mother wanted for us perfectly (very tricky family dynamics). She helped us planned our wedding when we lived in a different state and made the whole process as smooth as it could possibly go for a wedding. I really appreciated her level of detail and helping me be very specific with my vision for the wedding. I was in the grad school at the time, so I was very busy with my dissertation and working. I didn't have a lot of time to plan the wedding, and she really made it as easy as possible for me. We were living in another state, so she arranged for all my vendor appointments to be in two days. We got everything booked in two days and any appointments that could be done virtually, she made happen. As with any wedding, there are things that can go wrong. She handled it perfectly the day of. I was so worried we would have to go with our rain plan, but she helped calm my anxiety and have the rain plan ready just in case. I also had a series of unfortunate events happen the week of my wedding. My mother-in-law became very ill, and we were unsure if she would make it to the wedding. Kristin was available all week to consult. She arranged for a wheel chair for my mother-in-law and rearranged our wedding plans to make sure my mother-in-law was comfortable. My maid of honor wasn't able to come, because she got COVID. At the very last minute, Kristin went to FedEx to get a cardboard photo of my maid of honor printed, so she could be included in the photos. This woman is literally a wedding superhero. If you're an anxious bride like me, just trust Kristin and her team. She will make the dream wedding happen. Thank you so much Kristin for putting up with me and my family. I know it was tough at times managing family dynamics, but I appreciate your kindness, patience, and attention to detail throughout the whole process!
I worked with both Kristin and Erica but Erica was the primary planner for my wedding. They are both SO knowledgeable, helpful, comforting and on top of things! When I initially started researching venues, I was so overwhelmed and I ran across Kristin at a wedding expo and she helped ID a venue I hadn’t even looked at that ended up being absolutely perfect. Her packages were very fairly priced and focused on the big items I was the most stressed about. From the day I booked I felt a huge sense of relief in trusting Erica to plan my wedding weekend. Not only was she supportive throughout my year + of engagement from helping me design decor with budget and a timeless result in mind to identifying and coordinating all my vendors, she earned every penny I paid on the day of alone. She helped ensure everything went smoothly on the big day despite several hiccups and was able to direct folks and keep everyone in line politely and clearly. She also helped me, my husband and our loved ones (MOH, mom, MIL,etc) truly enjoy the day to fullest, reminding us to focus on what’s important for the day and trusting her with all the details. I cannot recommend her highly enough! If I ever do a vow renewal or any other event, I would book her again in a heartbeat. We worked with April, who was an angel on the day of the wedding! She was direct and firm when she needed to be, while still maintaining an air of calm. I brought any issue or change to her and she was on it immediately! Very thankful for her help coordinating all the vendors and making sure everything flowed how I wanted. Some slow correspondence leading up to the big day, but it’s also peak wedding season so understandable.
We loved having Stephanie as our planner!! She did such an amazing job and I truly think the wedding would not have gone as well as it did if it wasn't for her.
She was so great with communication months out from the wedding and was always available to join us on tastings and join calls with our vendors! She answered numerous questions and addressed so many concerns I had! I had no doubt she would do a great job!
Then came our wedding week-- she was so helpful and encouraging! She had a flat tire on the way to our rehearsal and felt so bad. Which was absolutely not necessary!! She led a great, concise rehearsal and had us out on time!
Wedding day could not have run more smoothly. I was so relieved to have all the planning done and knew Stephaine would capture my vision, which she absolutely did! Even better than I imagined. I had so many guests compliment me and I could not be more grateful! She thought of every detail and was happy to help in whatever way she could.

Erica Catter, our coordinator from Kristin Catter Events, was phenomenal. She was there for us every step of the way: helping us pick the perfect vendors that our guests raved about, keeping us on our wedding timeline, making those vital in-the-moment decisions as they inevitably arrive during wedding day. She was our guide through the wedding process and she absolutely nailed it. Highly recommend!
April was our coordinator and we chose the vendor recommendation package. We ended up picking almost all of our vendors from her list, and loved all of them.
April was amazing during the entire process. We didn't have a very clear wedding vision, so she helped us figure out what we wanted and executed it. On the day of, she was incredible. Everything ran so smoothly, and it was all thanks to her.
Kristin Catter Events came recommended to us by our venue and we hired Erica Catter as our month-of wedding coordinator. She was incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the whole planning process. She connected us with amazing vendors and she and her assistant made sure our wedding day went smoothly. I would work with the Kristin Catter Events team again!
We hired Kristin Catter as our “day of” coordinator (really a “month of” coordinator) and worked with Stephanie. Maybe it’s because we ended up having to go with our rain plan on the day of the wedding, but things felt really hectic. Our coordinator also misplaced the father’s boutonnieres, which led to several family members scrambling to try to find them instead of being able to enjoy the day. I also felt that she did the rehearsal half-heartedly, and she didn’t provide the guidance I expected. My hope had been to not have to worry about things on the day of my wedding, and this was not the case.
April was an absolute rockstar in helping us plan our dream wedding! I really had no idea where to begin when we first started the planning process; what do you start with? Colors, food options, guest count? I was clueless. Immediately April’s calm demeanor and friendly personality eased my worries and I knew I was in great, professional hands. No detail went unnoticed and I can’t say enough about how good it felt to know that I didn’t need to be the one who had to keep up with the little things (I’m a huge control freak by nature), because April was taking care of that for me. If you are looking for help executing a flawless event, look no further.

We honestly weren’t looking to hire a planner, but our venue required it. We found Catter Events and this was the BEST decision we made in regards to our wedding! Erica put us in touch with all the vendors we needed, which was very helpful since we lived out of town. Now that we’re past the wedding I can say that all of her recommendations were spot on and we LOVED all of our vendors. She made the planning process so easy and went with us to the big appointments. The entire wedding weekend was so relaxed and stress free and Erica had a huge part in that. She thinks of all the little things so you don’t have to the day of. She was able to build off of what we were envisioning and keep it our style. She is the best!
If you are wondering if you should use a wedding planner, it means you definitely should! As mother of the bride we thought we were on a good track doing our own planning (I’m a project manager by profession, just another project right?) but 4 months into it we still had a ton of details to work out and two busy jobs of our own. Bringing on Erica Catter (which means you get a dedicated planner but really an experienced team of planners and vendors working on your behalf) allowed us to stop guessing and googling, enjoy the process and feel comfortable that everything was on track. Erica is thoughtful, creative, fun to work with, and a bit of a miracle worker! She found awesome vendors that were booked but somehow fit us in, our day of went off without a hitch (at least we never saw any, thank you Erica for that), our guests were so complimentary of the beautiful event, and we have great memories forever. If I were to make one change it would be to have brought her in even earlier!
Hiring Erica Catter (with Kristin Catter Events) was far and away the best thing we did for our wedding. We got engaged in March of 2021--and I thought that I'd be able to do all of the planning myself. As a pretty organized, type A person who'd dreamed of her wedding her entire life--I thought I was born to do this. Ohhhh how wrong I was. By November of 2021, we had our engagement party, and I was completely overwhelmed and clearly needed a professional. I interviewed a few different planners and I knew instantly that Erica was the right choice for us. I needed someone who could be assertive, support us, communicate with vendors, and had the expertise to execute an entire wedding weekend with days of events. Erica was just what we needed. There were so many times between November of 2021 and our wedding in November of 2022 that I found myself saying that "we couldn't've done this without Erica". Erica's connections with other vendors was incredibly helpful, she worked with new vendors we'd hired (some from out of state), and overall was excellent in making our vision come to life. One guest at our wedding brunch said that we (my spouse and I) should throw big events more often, and my response was "only if I can hire Erica to coordinate all of them!". The one piece of advice I'd give everyone who'd listen is to hire your planner first. I wish we had. The amount of stress, anxiety, and heartache saved by having Erica as our go-to was well worth more than her rate, and she was easily one of the best investments in the entire process. If you're considering Kristin, Erica, or their team--do it. Their experience and expertise will go a long way in making your day (or weekend) go off seamlessly.
Erica was my planner for over a year and I cannot recommend her more! She understood my super specific vision and vibe and brought all of my wedding dreams to fruition. I had a lot of turbulence during my planning and she always had a plan B for everything and always quelled our anxieties. So professional, creative and organized. I could not have done it without her absolutely stellar guidance and knowledge. 10/10!

Absolutely amazing. We hired Erica as our month of coordinator and she did an incredible job. On the wedding day I didn't have to think/worry about any details, which as a type A bride, was a miracle. If you are looking for someone to take your vision and execute it better than you imagined, do not hesitate to hire these ladies! Also we were planning the wedding in Austin from NYC and Erica went above and beyond to schedule our tasting super early and meet us whenever we were in town.
We LOVED working with Kristin Catter. As a young couple moving to a new area, we knew that we needed a wedding planner. From our first call with Kristin, we knew that she was a planner we could wholly trust and would help us plan a beautiful wedding. Kristin makes wedding planning so much easier - she led us to our vendors, she negotiated contracts, and we can imagine that she did so much more behind the scenes that we likely do not know about. We appreciated that she has an excellent taste for her couples' styles - based on our conversations, she would anticipate what we would or wouldn't like. (She even created a floral mood board for us!) Kristin also helped us make the best choices with our guests in mind, e.g. making sure we would be pleasing all with our dinner menu, including the picky eaters. Wow! That one word sums up our experience with Erica. We came to KC Events with a venue and ideas, but we were clueless to all things necessary for planning a wedding. From our initial interview for a wedding planner to our return to the wedding suite after the big event, we were taken care of. Erica took our ideas and turned them into a beautiful reality. I could write a 3 page list of all the things that surpassed my expectations, but instead I'll end with WOW!
Kristin Catter is the consummate professional. If you are getting married in Austin, you will not find a better wedding planner. We engaged Kristin a little more than a year before our daughter’s planned wedding. At the time, we had no way to know that the wedding would be delayed twice by the pandemic. Kristin guided us through three wedding dates over a period of roughly three years, with all of the vendor and contract issues that go with changing a wedding date (twice). Kristin offered us advice, counsel, expertise, guidance, and support.
She has encyclopedic knowledge of the Austin wedding scene. She has done enough weddings that none of our questions phased her — they were always met with concrete suggestions that, from her experience, had worked well in the past. From day one through the wedding day, she was amazing.
Most important, however, is the fact that Kristin listened carefully to the bride and the groom. She understood their desires for the wedding and directed the planning and the implementation in ways that brought their vision to life. By the end of their three year journey, the three of them had an innate trust that made the entire experience enjoyable for all of use and the entire wedding weekend a delight for both family and guests.
If you are getting married in Austin, she is, simply, the best.
From our first phone call, I knew Kristin would do a fantastic job with full-service wedding planning! She was super organized and guided us through every baby step of the wedding planning process. When I was overwhelmed with decisions at vendor meetings, she really helped narrow down choices to stick to our original vision. On the wedding day, she didn't let us worry about any of the details so that we could focus on having a good time. I would absolutely hire KC events again!
I was connected to Erica through my college buddy, who told me his wife was a coordinator (Thanks Sam!). I honestly never wanted to plan a wedding, this task was a dream for my mom but not for myself. My mom and I decided our lives were busy plus we had no idea where to start for planning a wedding. Hiring Erica was the best decision ever! She connected us with all vendors (and they were all absolutely amazing!). We got married at Camp Lucy- Sacred Oaks, and pretty much all the vendors had worked with Kristin Catter Events so were very familiar with the venue (and you could tell the day of wedding - everything ran so smoothly!). I absolutely loved that Erica would email us when the next task should be done, causing me to do almost zero research and helped me focus on more detailed items that were important to me. I also was a bit indifferent with details like linens and things as I'm not a creative person at all. I created a Pinterest vision board with the vibe I was going for and the color scheme and boom - Erica made it all come alive. Most decisions, I would look at Erica and she would tell the vendors what my vision was! The day of our wedding, everything was perfectly timed and I felt like a celebrity with Erica running things behind the scenes. It was a dream day that I will never forget, thanks to Erica! I highly recommend hiring Kristin Catter Events if you are like me and are organized but not necessarily wanting to be consumed with planning your wedding from start to finish.
Do not even think about planning a wedding without talking to the KC team. I truly don't know how we would have stayed sane without having Kristin!! I'm a project manager by trade, and I knew I didn't want to work for myself for my own wedding - Kristin's services were the BEST investment we made for our wedding. She was prompt, incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and absolutely phenomenal - she almost always knew exactly what we wanted before we had even thought about it. She assembled a team of the worlds best vendors to support us, we're still absolutely blown away by just how amazing every single one was. (Plus it was always great to hear them all say how fantastic she was every time we talked with them.) Our wedding day was beyond perfect, so much more than we could have ever asked for. There's no way we could have done this without her and her team, we will be forever grateful!

I can't thank Erica Catter enough! Our LBJ Wildflower Center wedding turned out great and stress free thanks to her and her team. Looking back I'm glad we made the decision to get a month of coordinator. I could not imagine dealing with multiple vendors on the day of and have it run so smoothly and on schedule. Erica helped steer us in the right direction in our month out meeting for any details we missed in planning, and was a huge help when we had to change our outdoor plans due to the weather. Our event was beautiful!
Side note, it was always reassuring to hear early in our planning process when other vendors like our DJ, Caterer, and dessert company say good things when you mention Kristin Catter Events.
Despite my wife and I both being fairly organized people, we knew that we needed help to pull off our big day. Without Erica from Kristin Catter Events, it wouldn't have all looked as effortless as it did!
Erica was always on top of everything and helped guide us through all of the decisions that we needed to make. On the big day, she moved about quickly and quietly ensuring that we stuck to our timeline and that everything was in its right place without ever feeling like some overbearing ruler was commanding everyone.
My wife and I were able to have plenty of moments with just us where we could enjoy our wedding fully and we wouldn't have been able to do that with Erica.
I cannot give you better wedding advice than to hire a wedding planner more than month of. Kristin made the wedding experience for us. She is hyper-competent and understood my vision and taste within minutes. Her communication is truly best in class - very quick responses. She made moving dates (hello pandemic) seamless. She executed everything flawlessly in a non-traditional wedding venue (Wildflower Center). Above and beyond what I had hoped for!
Stephanie Garcia from Kristin Catter Events was our month-of wedding coordinator. She and her two assistants were AMAZING. I was an out-of-state bride, so Kristin and Stephanie got on facetime with me for a walkthrough of my venue a few weeks out. They asked very specific questions and kept thorough notes. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Stephanie was incredibly responsive. I sent her a few detailed emails with pictures of how I'd like things to be placed, and she and the assistants pulled it off flawlessly. It was better than I ever could have done myself. Stephanie totally had our backs, and I fully trusted her and her team. It was an immense relief to have them on the day of the wedding. I 100% recommend working with them!
Kristin was exactly what I needed and I didn’t even know it. We booked Kristin for her day of coordination (which is really month of!) because I felt pretty confident in planning and coordinating the majority of the day and just wanted someone who could take control on the day of so I could actually enjoy the day. Not only was this my exact experience but Kristin had great suggestions for things I never thought of, she was extremely organized and direct. This worked wonders for the rehearsal and getting the wedding party together at the right times. Leading up to the wedding she was very responsive and would handle issues immediately which is any brides dream. The day of, I could not have been luckier to have her by my side. From our 1st interaction with Kristin (a brief telephone conversation) we knew right away she was the perfect person to help plan our wedding! She is an event planning genius and extremely detail oriented; from the get go she had several ideas to craft our fusion Pakistani-American wedding! Both my husband and I have busy schedules and live outside of Austin, but we were very comfortable with Kristin at the helm. She gave us weekly updates on the progress of our wedding planning and was always available with any questions we had or any issues we came across. She also took charge of contacting the various vendors (e.g. catering, florals, cakes, photography / videography, etc.) and made our dream wedding come to life seamlessly. On the day of our wedding she made sure everything ran according to plan without a hitch. Kristin is the perfect person to hire to help coordinate each step of your wedding from A to Z; her bubbly personality alongside her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond are unmatched!
Kristin and Erica were absolutely amazing. My dream wedding came to life and exceeded my expectations. Kristin was always very responsive and went above and beyond to try and execute a special request we had for our first dance. She guided us through entire process and not once did I stress about the overall wedding timeline or the day of. Very professional and sweet. We worked with Erica and she was so on top of everything! She is patient and so experienced. I can be a bit of a control freak and probably a but frustrating for some planners, but she took that in stride and worked really well with me. She is well known and has great recommendations! I hired her for a day of/month of + design/decor. She helped me execute my color scheme in regards to linens and rentals! I already knew I was going to be making my own signs/decor and did my invites off minted, but she helped with all of the other things regarding design! She also helped put my decor and signs up where they would fit best. And on the day of, despite some minor timing issues that were outside of our control, Erica made sure things ran smoothly! Overall, I definitely recommend working with Erica!
Like many couples, we had to push our wedding back a year due to COVID. Kristin was booked for our new date but her sister Erica was thankfully available. Meeting with Erica a month out from the wedding made us feel so much better about everything. She clearly knew the venue well, had great insights and recommendations on layout and timeline and how to ensure everything worked out smoothly the day of. One of our shuttles for our hotel guests completely cancelled 3 days before our wedding, and Erica jumped into action to call around and luckily was able to find replacements. The day of, she handled everything with our vendors, including dealing with one that wasn't so great. She and her assistant made sure our tables looked beautiful, and all of our alcohol and personal items made it on our shuttles back to the hotel, we truly didn't have to worry about anything the day of. Would highly recommend this team for your wedding, you will not regret it!
When our first coordinator ended up not showing up a month out of our wedding date we weren't sure what on earth we were going to do. We found Kristen Catter Events through our venue and were lucky enough to get to work with Erica. She picked up the pieces of our wedding planning without a hitch and got to work. On the day of, she and her assistant took charge and made sure everything went smoothly. We can't thank her enough and anyone would be lucky to get to work with her.
Kristin Catter Events is literally the best option for anyone planning a wedding. My wife is a severely type A personality and has difficulty giving up control. One can imagine how stressed we got while planning our big day; in addition to dealing with a global pandemic. Not only was Stephanie an exquisitely skilled coordinator that had impeccable attention to detail. She also did such an amazing job at stepping in and taking the stress off our shoulders and easing us through the most important day of our lives. Hiring Stephanie was the best decision that we made!
Kristin Catter was one of the best people I have worked with in general in years. Her & her company are incredibly professional and have wedding planning down to an art form. She helped me plan a dream wedding while I was 1000 miles away during a pandemic as a healthcare worker spending most of my days in a hospital. She was incredibly respectful of our concerns and covid protocols/plans, and made sure that no matter what our event went flawlessly. She has an unmatched work ethic & drive. She has strong working relationships with *so* many people in Austin & in Texas, I didn't speak to a single vendor/bakery/florist that didn't immediately know her by name and had only amazing things to say about her. She gets things done, and keeps you organized so you can plan a wedding and also focus on whatever else life is throwing at you. My husband at first thought we didn't need a wedding planner, and every month planning our wedding he repeatedly said "Oh thank God we have Kristin helping with this, there's no way we could do this without her". I without hesitation recommend her highly for any event - wedding, reception, party, anything. She & her team are out of this world.
After being engaged a year, we hired Kristin & her team about a month ago when we had absolutely zero self planning started.
And what a relief! It is INCREDIBLE what they have been able to accomplish in such a short time already. Extremely responsive and very professional. Kristin and Erica have gone above and beyond scheduling venue tours, finding available dates and then coordinating with venue to hold certain dates to give us time to consider them, getting quotes and working with our budget, and offering advice and opinions when needed / asked. We are still early in the planning process, but I didn't want to wait a year to share a review of these positive first impressions.

Erica was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding day was absolutely perfect! It was better than we ever could have imagined. She was very responsive, accommodating and she made the planning process very easy for us. Erica and Kristin were also very flexible about us having to postpone to a new date from last year. I could truly write a novel about Kristin and how grateful I am to her! To start, I got an entire extra year with her due to the pandemic so I literally worked with her for 2 years. I struggled with the decision to hire a planner in the beginning and it was the best money I spent- seriously. She. Saved. Me. Two postponements, a venue change, a few vendor changes- she was with me through it all and handled it like a boss. I would bring things up to her that she had literally handled weeks or months prior- she's that good. I laughed with her, I cried with her. She truly took so much stress off of my plate (and obviously, there was plenty of that with wedding planning during a pandemic). After everything that I went through to get to my wedding day, the end result was amazing- I could not have asked for a more perfect day. People always say that not everything will go right on your wedding day and to just let it go- I cannot think of one single thing I would have changed. If anything went wrong, I wouldn't know because KC handled EVERYTHING. And trust her venue and vendor recommendations- I seriously felt like I had the wedding dream team. My family and friends are still raving about how beautiful my wedding was and how good of a job she did. Look no further for your wedding planner!
Kristin was absolutely incredible! Not only did she maneuver planning a wedding during a Pandemic, she also dealt with some other crazy issues with our venue. My venue--the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center--required a day-of coordinator, but I decided to upgrade to having a year-of coordinator to help me with the details. This was before COVID. My planner was Erica, and she was fantastic. Erica and her sister were not new to Wildflower--Kristin even got married there herself--and it was so helpful to have someone who knew the dos and don'ts and what was possible. Erica has a great relationship with Austin vendors and was able to negotiate changes to my contracted packages and contract minimums once COVID changed my plans. Erica is chill but has her stuff together. She'll push you when she needs to, but remember, you're the decision maker.
Erica was the bumper to my bowling ball and calmed me down when I went from Plan A to B to C to D. She was so easygoing and took each change in stride. When COVID changed my plans, she kept all the vendors abreast. I didn't have to worry. My dad even worked with Erica on a surprise for my groom and me. My dad asked our wedding party, who we asked to stay home, to send in videos, pictures, and quotes, which he complied into a video. My dad and Erica were able to coordinate the AV equipment to play the video at the reception. I'm not sure when my dad hatched the plan, but I don't think he gave Erica more than a few weeks' (days?) notice. Erica was able to coordinate everything and my husband and I were so touched. Thank you, Erica, for making our day run so smoothly and be so special.
Kristin and Erica are AMAZING! KC Events saved my life when our destination wedding was cancelled due to COVID. We had about 3 months to pull together a wedding in Austin and it would not have been possible without them. Everything came together beautifully all thanks to them. I don't know if I would have made it through my wedding day if not for Kristin! I initially talked to her because she came highly recommended by my venue (who required at least a day of coordinator). As a super type-A, in the details person, I knew I needed someone as detailed oriented as me so I would feel comfortable handing over the wedding reigns. From my very first conversation with Kristin, I felt confident that she was exactly the type of person I needed and she was so professional and competent.
Throughout the wedding planning process (especially stressful with COVID), even though I hired Kristin for month-of coordination, she was SO responsive to my questions and concerns!! I thought I responded to emails fast, but she routinely responded to emails in less than 10 minutes. She also attended our final venue walkthrough, and at that point took over all of the coordination and final details. We emailed several times a week, and she coordinated with all other vendors and let me know pertinent updates.
While my dad and I are both super type A and detailed and probably drove her crazy during preparation and day-of, Kristin was never anything but so sweet, reassuring, and completely professional. I never doubted anything in her hands. Seriously - I think the month-of coordination was the best spent money of our wedding. You will not regret it! Erica was incredible! I hired Erica as our month of coordinator and she was indispensable for that month, the rehearsal, and the day of the wedding. I loved that before I even hired KC Events, Kristin and Erica talked to me on the phone for a long time and made sure to explain their services as well as answer any questions that I had. As a big organizer and someone that likes to do things myself, I wasn't sure if I would need a planner, but I am so happy that I had her! She is organized and wants to execute your vision exactly as you'd like it, checking in to make sure that you're happy with everything. Erica juggled the COVID restrictions for the venue and communicated with all of our vendors prior to the wedding, so all that I had to do was show up and enjoy myself. She is firm and makes sure that things happen as they should, but approachable and warm. During the wedding, she checked in with me and my husband to let us know when events would be happening (garter toss, speeches, etc.) so that we could be in the right place at the right time or she could even move around the timeline if we needed. She worked closely with our DJ and photographer so that everything was according to plan. Our wedding ran smoothly and it is certainly because of her! With all of the COVID changes, Erica helped make the process less stressful and was excellent at dealing with guest changes, table changes, adding an outside table, etc. Erica is incredible and you will not regret choosing her!
Man, where to even start. Hiring a wedding planner was something I never thought we would do but we are so glad we did. From the very beginning, Kristin made us feel at ease and comfortable knowing we were in good hands. She always would say “us” and “we” and “team” which doesn’t seem like a big deal but it always made us feel like we are on the same side working together and I loved that. She is very detail oriented and will ensure you have the wedding of your dreams!!! I still am replaying her walking out on the dance floor with our glow sticks and was thinking to myself, “wow she’s amazing.” Also needs to be noted we had to postpone our wedding and had a lot of last minute changes and cancellations. Kristin handled it all with ease and made sure all vendors were good to go for the day of. <3
Erica was INCREDIBLE. She thought of everything before we ever had to, she kept details organized, and kept our opinions as the priority. She is on task and to the point with every meeting, which makes decisions quick and easy! She made everything happen on our perfect day!

This review is for Erica Katter. I had initially sought Kristin (who was very responsive to my first inquiry, and extremely helpful and reassuring before I even engaged her, and I'm very grateful for that!), however, she was unavailable for my wedding and recommended her sister Erica instead. Kristin assured me that I would receive the same level of competence and service for my wedding, but unfortunately that was not the case. Erica was disorganized and seemed to rush through the details without really listening to my concerns - I should have taken her aside to voice my concerns on the night of the rehearsal when she staged my very small and uncomplicated wedding party without any direction or forethought. On the day of the wedding, we took before the ceremony (as was planned), and because she did not summon the photographers after being asked repeatedly (I eventually asked the photographers myself to come to the space we were taking photos) my photographers had to take all of our family photos within 20 minutes before the ceremony started. In addition to Erica, I paid for an assistant (as requested by Kristin), and there was also an assistant provided by the venue, so they were not lacking in manpower. Thankfully, my awesome photographers were able to capture some really great photos in the limited time available. When it was time for the ceremony, Erica completely mis-timed the staging. "Here comes the Bride" already started several minutes before I ran to the ceremony room, which was extremely awkward (there were windows in the doors to the ceremony room, so the guests had already risen and turned toward the doors and could see me running). Several guests joked that they thought I had gotten cold feet. I discussed this with both Erica and Kristin a couple of days after the wedding - they were very professional about reaching out to me to discuss my concerns. However, I was disappointed that they tried to throw the DJ under the bus for the staging issue; I was uncomfortable assigning blame to him and insisted that he be present for the discussion. Kristen and Erica agreed, and once we all got on the phone, it became clear that the staging issue was entirely attributable to the planner, Erica. Pros: Erica was extremely sweet and understanding about helping me with my dress and veil as I did not want my bridal party or family in my room while getting ready (I had recently lost my Mother and knew I would get emotional around friends and family). She also quickly adjusted the timing of our exit when we decided end the reception a little earlier than planned. At the end of the day, I married the man of my dreams in front of all of the people we love on what became the happiest day of my life - I just wish I had engaged a more experienced and competent planner.
We were interested in having Kristin be our wedding coordinator after reading all that she would take on and because of her knot.com and weddingwire awards, but what really made the decision, was learning that she had done 10 weddings at our venue. To me, that was peace of mind! She kindly yet confidently did her job and with me (MOB) living out of town, that put me at ease. Whenever we had a question, or needed a good reference for another vendor, she was available (emails worked great) and her prior experience helped me trust her quickly. And I loved that she emailed a timeline ahead of schedule so we would know what to expect. On the day of rehearsal and actual wedding day, she calmly attended to everything. She was even patient as I tried to help set up and she reminded me that she didn't need me to help her, I could just relax and enjoy, and I really did!We had the best night!!!
she was amazing! she did a custom plan for me (any help I needed with vendors, but let me do my own thing, check-ins, and month-of coordination) fit my needs perfectly. helped calm me down when stressed and massively took the weight off of me and my family day-of. all of my family said she was amazing and really had my day perfect where I was able to just have fun and she just help guide me to making sure everything was done!

Our wedding was at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, which can be a tricky venue due to its vast size, short time frame for set-up, and multiple locations for all the events. It seemed like a piece of cake for Kristin and Lindsey and they executed everything flawlessly. The mark of a true professional wedding coordinator is the fact that I didn't even have to think about any logistics that day - everything was timed and coordinated (seemingly) effortlessly to where the whole day just flowed naturally. I'm SURE there were hiccups throughout the day - I mean what wedding day goes off without a hitch? - but my husband and I were blissfully unaware of any mishaps and could be present in each and every important moment.
Their communication was always prompt and efficient. I don't think I ever waited more than a couple hours for an email response. Lindsey was our actual day-of coordinator but her and Kristin and the whole KCE team was always in perfect sync and if I told something to one person, they always made sure everyone was on the same page. To me, this was so valuable especially as the day got closer and vendor communication was bananas.
We hired KCE for month-of coordinating. I was warned about this by several other vendors because there is always risk that something will get dropped if the coordinator isn't involved from the beginning. Let me tell you, Lindsey and Kristin did the best job of picking everything up at that month mark and owning it. I felt such a sense of relief when I handed everything off to Lindsey and could actually relax and not be a ball of stress the month leading up to wedding day. What a beautiful gift to give a bride!
Overall, I literally cannot say enough good things about them - I could write a book. I would hire them a hundred times over! I highly, highly recommend them!

There is no way that our wedding would have turned out as perfect as it did without Kristin & Erica Catter at the helm. We opted for a Day-Of package to cover the reception, and made the decision to add on Vendor Recommendations, which took a HUGE weight off our shoulders while still allowing us to get into the details of creative planning (I'm an interior designer, so that was kinda my jam). However, from the first moment meeting with these incredible ladies, I knew that our day would be in great hands! They were the first planners that we met with, and we immediately knew they were the ones for us. Both are kind, very knowledgeable, and not afraid to defend their clients when necessary. Their experience working with venues & vendors in the central Texas area was well worth the cost of their services (which was very reasonable), especially considering that you get two planners for the price of one. While both Kristin & Erica were part of the overall process of recommending vendors & reviewing quotes, Erica took the lead for my wedding reception--and she saved my sanity multiple times. She incorporated all of my ideas & plans, never once making me feel like a "bridezilla," and helped me fill in the gaps I had missed. In addition, Erica attended my rehearsal at the church, even though that technically was not part of her scope, and she helped navigate through some stressful situations with our planner at the church. Erica stepped in without stepping on toes, offering helpful recommendations on everything from the lighting level inside the sanctuary to the pacing of grandmothers' walk down the aisle (all questions that the church planner was asking me, when I had no more room in my brain). Erica stayed 2 well-organized steps ahead of me the entire time, and on wedding day itself, she would pop up to ask a quick question & then fade seamlessly back into the background. The first question she asked when she saw me was what kind of drink the bride & groom wanted, and the drinks were in our hands within moments--even though we were still tied up in the photography process. Erica had her assistant stay with us to hold the drinks safely out of the camera's sight but available whenever we needed a sip. And she kept the pace running smoothly, thought of all the answers before I even had the question, and even helped incorporate some of our favorite moments, such as some quiet time just to ourselves during the cocktail hour, which allowed us to re-set and really get our minds ready for the great party she had all set up. If there were any disasters, we didn't hear about it at all--which is exactly what I wanted! Erica even adjusted the timing of our reception to accommodate a big crazy flash mob that my brother & sister had organized, and it was so seamless you'd never know it was sprung on her last minute. Everything, truly everything, was just as it needed to be. I cannot say enough about these women and the wonderful job they do. From start to finish, Erica & Kristin handled everything with grace and set our minds so at ease. We are so grateful that we hired them, and I know that you will NOT be disappointed if you trust them with your wedding!
Kristin and her team were great! We used the month of coordinator service. Kristin was great at communicating with us whenever we needed and worked really well with our vendors. The month of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about reaching out to anyone but Kristin, as she took care of everything with all of our vendors. She even helped with specific requests we had for the day of the wedding. She, along with her team, had great control of everything and made sure we got what we dreamed of. :) Funny thing - she was the one vendor I didn't read a single review for. Somebody recommended her to us so we decided to meet her. Right after meeting her, my husband and I knew we had to go with her, she was exactly who we were looking for!

Kristin is AMAZING. I used her as a month of coordinator. We had a long meeting where we got on the same page and from there she handled everything including all contact with vendors! She made it the least stressful month of my life and everything was absolutely perfect! She helped us make decisions on things that would have otherwise been forgotten if we weren't reminded and is so prepared for everything. She made our rehearsal so organized and our wedding perfect and go so smoothly while staying nearly invisible somehow. I HIGHLY recommend her!

If you’re looking at these reviews, you’re probably considering getting a wedding planner. Do yourself two favors, definitely get a wedding planner and definitely choose Kristin Catter Events. I reached out to about 8 wedding planners in Austin before I chose one, I got 7 generic emails back and one from Kristin that explained herself and her services while actually taking the time to respond to my email and my concerns. I immediately felt at ease.
I live outside of New Orleans and wanted to stick to a strict budget (under 25k) but still have a fun and beautiful wedding for 110 people. The Wildflower center is a tough venue to get married at if you do not enlist a professional to coordinate your timeline and vendors. Kristin got married at WFC herself and it was a match made in heaven. My fiancée never even saw the venue in person before our wedding day (brides, you’re not alone when you think he wants nothing to do with wedding planning).
My parents and I flew into town for 3 days about 7 months before and got EVERYTHING booked. Florist, DJ, cake, officiant, caterer, linens, we did IT ALL. I own a small business and was not able to come to Austin often to work on planning. I came for a total of 5 days to plan, Kristin took care of the rest. She communicated with my vendors constantly, more than I can probably even imagine. She sends you a budget and calendar in the beginning with weekly tasks so you do not feel overwhelmed. This was perfect for someone like me.
I can not speak highly enough of Kristin and her company. Can you do everything yourself? Probably. But you’ll also have to weed through about 40 vendors for each category on your own. Kristin has great relationships with amazing vendors that she KNOWS are within your budget. It makes life and wedding planning 1000x easier. Kristin, thank you for giving me my dream wedding. I am so grateful for you and your team.
I was extremely satisfied with my wedding. Kristin was really nice and helped me plan my dream wedding, and all within my budget. You can request a meeting where she goes over all the financials in detail so that you know exactly where your money is going. She was able to cater to our request of style and decor choices for the wedding, she has a pretty big list of choices for flowers, lines and all other sorts of decorations that you don’t even think about while planning for your wedding. She made herself available to answer all the questions or comments I had and was very punctual to all of he meetings and appointments. She took out all the tedious tasks and stress out of wedding planning so I could be excited and ready for my big day! During the wedding she was there and made sure that everything went precfectly smooth and efficient. I didn’t have to worry about the DJ playing the song at the right time or if the tables were arranged in the correct order. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Hiring Kristin as our month-of coordinator was truly the best decision I made since saying yes when my now-husband proposed. From our initial email conversations, she was extremely quick to respond, thoroughly informative and helpful. At venue walkthrough/face to face meeting, she totally streamlined my frazzled planning process and gave me miraculous peace of mind. She knew exactly how to take care of every detail to prepare for the biggest day of our lives! On the day of the wedding, she was relaxed but got the job done flawlessly. So graciously firm in managing everything to go perfectly! Kristin was literally the best coordinator that I could’ve ever dreamed up. She was SO helpful, organized and detail-oriented (but always had such a wise, logical grasp of the big picture and true meaning of the day) kind, friendly, laidback (but serious when necessary) and just FUN... take it from me, you’d do yourself a huge disservice not to hire her for your wedding... save yourself and your family from worrying about all the things she can handle with ease. Wedding Planning: Kristin was very helpful in the wedding planning process. She gave us a realistic, helpful timeline at the beginning of our planning that was customized for our specific needs. She did a good job of checking in and ensuring we were on track with tasks and the budget, particularly as we got down to the wire.
Vendors and Contacts: Kristin was so helpful in finding and providing recommendations for good vendors. She has strong relationships with good vendors and worked to get us better deals on multiple occasions. She helped tremendously in figuring out how to get the most value for our floral selections and helping us get our stationary just right. I really appreciated that she went to all of my dress fittings with me (my family is out of state). Kristin really excelled at in all our meetings, she was professional but firm.
Day Of: Kristin is excellent at running the "day of” schedule. She was polite but firm with our wedding guests and party (which was needed and appreciated) and everything went off with out a hitch. Everyone told me that something would go wrong at our wedding, but nothing did. I can’t stress enough how well she did on the day of the wedding. Even after juggling a million wedding tasks, she went out of her way to leave us a slice of our wedding cake, a little thank you note and she even sprinkled rose pedals around our suite for the night of the wedding. The personal touches made our day even more special. Her assistant Lindsey was also great.
Overall: I am so happy we used KCE; I would recommend her to anyone. Kristin was awesome, and I don’t know how we could have done it without her. Thank you!
Kristin was wonderful! We live in California but our daughter lives in Austin where the wedding was held. She had to deal with our daughter/fiancé but also me (who was paying for the wedding :) She was open to all budgets. We couldn't have been happier with the end result! Everything was perfect! This is not an easy job but she handled everything with a smile on her face! This Driskill was a magical location!

When my husband and I approached Kristin, she was very friendly and responded quickly to our emails and questions and worked with our busy schedules to set up an appointment. When we met in person, she was very attentive and gave excellent advice on how far our budget would take us. She supplied a large list for everything, from bakers, where we could get linens, and florists..basically everything you need and more for your wedding day. She helped me create an atmosphere that perfectly accented my style and also made our already gorgeous venue look even better! When our wedding date finally came around, she was very hands-on and it seemed like she was there throughout the entire wedding making it go off without a single hitch. The only way to describe my wedding day was perfect! So many friends and family were so impressed with Nick and I's day and I wish I could take all the credit for it's beauty, but Kristin literally MADE our wedding day unforgettable! We hired Kristin for full service for our wedding in Austin. We live in Houston and knew that we could not plan everything, while working our full time jobs and living three hours away. She was such a life saver. She made herself available to us whenever we needed and she was always on stand by. She made sure to set up facetime sessions with my fiance to put her at ease and then when we came to Austin, she would block off her entire day to set up multiple meetings for us. Those days would be extremely long and overwhelming. As a groom, there is no way I would have made it through those days without her organization and focus.
